The world has progressed a lot with the help of science. The invention of AI has made it possible. The flying cars, AI controlled hotels and factories have made the jobs of humans very easy. But even in 2065, what humans have yet to achieve is the Time Machine. Time Machine has become kind of an impossible dream for every scientist. The one who will find out the secret first, will be remembered throughout the eternity. These are every young researchers' dream to achieve. But maybe Dr. Ren Tomson is different. Even though he is in his fifties, all his hair has turned gray, and he is having problems with his eyesight, he still has the heart and the passion of a young fellow for finding the unknown. Even now in this Dogtough Lab, he is continuing his research with his two trusted assistant researchers, Sou and Rema. It is not too much to say that they are just one step away from finding that unknown world of time traveling.

“Rema! Can you give me the outlet design of the machine??”, Sou says. Sou is 28 years old this year after graduating from Stanford University in software engineering. His popularity was at another level during his college time. Having dark black hair with a masculine body and having eyes filled with passion to achieve something made many girls to roam around him like a group of bees. This Indian origin guy really broke many girls’ hearts.

“It is not ready yet”. On the other hand Rema is a bold girl with a strong personality. Being calm and collected even in the toughest situation can be her speciality. Rema's father was an Indian while her mother was an italian. When she was only five, they passed away in a car accident and she was raised in an orphanage. Over the time, somehow the breathtaking beauty of this blondy has faded and the challenges in her life have made her cold hearted.

“Why is it that you can't do anything correct?” says Sou while smirking at Rema. This guy really likes to tease the maiden.

“What? First of all , it was not entrusted to me. Secondly ,you are not my boss. So why do I have to listen to you! Correct, Dr. Ren?”

“Can you all shut it up? I am on the verge of the thesis but can't find what it is that I am missing. Do I really have to listen to your arguments now?”

“ How many days have you wasted in that part doc? If you continue like that then our time machine will only end in our dreams.”, Sou laughs while saying. Dr. Ren glares at him.Dr. Ren is already frustrated because of his repetitive failure and now even Sou is making fun of him. Somehow it hurts his pride maybe.

“Wait !! What did you just say?”

“How many days will you need?” Sou winked at Rema. Rema sighs.

“No no… not that. Before that. What did you say?”

“I said maybe with your current situation, you will need infinite time!” says Sou while clicking on his laptop.

Dr. Ren is blankly staring at Sou as if he is totally zoned out. Suddenly his expression changed to astonishment. A wave of joy covers his face. Sou becomes very confused.

“Ah! What nonsense are you two doing? Get to work.” Rema says to change the conversation.

"Oh! Hahaha...Finally after all these years, at last I have done it."

“What happened? Can you please explain to me Doc?”

“Sou, Rema, prepare to work to the last drop of your blood,cause I have finally completed the time-space thesis!!. it was infinity… hahaha” says Dr Ren as soon as he started scribbling on the papers.

Time went by while the final touch was being given to the world’s first ever time machine. When the whole world is unconscious about this huge truth, they are finally ready to venture in the time space. No one in the world knows what is finally going to happen but atleast the first step of traveling is taken by humanity.

“Does it not look a little weird? This time machine is alright, right?”

“Are you insulting my design, Rema?” Sou is checking the final database.

“Though it does look like a soap box!” Dr. Ren cuckles while giving a funny look at Sou.

“ Hey you two! Don't judge the book by its cover . It is important that the main function is okay.

“ yeah yeah… all the big talk, Sou. Okay then, where to go? I suggest the past. Then all the events will be our understanding.”

“Then I am starting.” Doc switches on the red button after putting the time and place in the monitor. It is set on 3rd April, 2043, the day Rema’s parents died.

As soon as the machine starts, it enters the time tunnel. The view is outstanding ,like all the colors are spiraling to create a tunnel. They can see some past event pictures flashing through them. The Tick Tock sounds of various clocks are humming through their ears. Suddenly a spark creates smoke in the machine.

“Ah!! What is happening?” Rema notices the smoke. She tries to control device settings through coding.

“I can't control the machine! Where the hell did it go wrong?” Doc screams in despair. All the monitors are showing the error signs while the alarm is buzzing like crazy. It has started to shake and the three of them are losing their balance.

“Hold the machine tightly!!” Sou closes his eyes as he hugs Rema and Doc to cover them.

A black hole is created in front of the machine and it enters through it. A bright light puts their eyes to shut.

 Sou opens his eyes when a drop of water falls on his face. Rema and Dr. Ren is still unconscious. Sou does not  know how long they were unconscious. Sou tries to wake up Rema and Doc.

“ It hurts!” grones Rema while trying to sit up.

“My whole body hurts... Where are we? Wait , what happened to my machine!” doc runs towards the machine.

The machine is now nothing but like a fallen soldier.

“Guys! look ahead. Actually where are we?” Sou says in astonishment as well as in fear.

That time they didn't know what journey was waiting for them in this unknown world.

When they open their eyes , it is not earth. The whole place is so beautiful and dazzling. A lot of large trees around the place. Just like a fairy land. Rema looks around .

REMA: Waaahhh.. how beautiful. Look guys! it does not look like our world!

SOU : YEAH! just like a isekai novel in online platform!!..... Rema! are you thinking that I will say something like that? are you in right mind ?

REMA: What do you mean a**hole?

SOU : We are in a situation where we don't know exactly where are we or how can we go back in earth and here you are appreciating the beautiful nature! for real?

REMA : And whose fault is this you think?

SOU : What the hell! you mean this is all my fault? Everything that is happening is because of me?

REMA : I don't think that I took your name! And I did tell everyone that the machine outlet was not looking right..

SOU : Huuuhhh!

DR REN : Tskkk! Will you two stop?? This is not the time to blame anyone. In this project everyone tried their best .So Rema and Sou stop this. Why do I always feel like you two completely ignore me...like I am some kind of side character!!

REMA : I am soooo..... Ahhhhhh! Arrrrrg!

DR REN : What happened?

REMA : Mmmmph.... what is this! It's so gross!

Everyone looks down. Something is licking Rema's  feet.  A small elephant like creature . It has a horn on its forehead and two small wings. Rema likes it and thinks that it is so cute.

REMA : Aaawwww! it's sooo cuteee... Come here baby. I will give you something to eat.

SOU : A moment ago it was gross to you but now it suddenly becomes cute! The most mysterious thing in the world is girl's mind after all.

Rema does't give a dam about Sou's words and bring out a packet of potato chips from her bag .That elephant like creature first see it and smells it carefully.Then it takes a piece of chips.After eating that, it's expression changes. It looks like it's pleading to give some more.It suddenly screamed in loud voice,like it is informing it's friends. And then in a moment  thousands of this creature surround them. These creature start screaming . Dr Ren , Rema and Sou get scared and tried to get away from them but one of it bites DR Ren.

DR REN : Aaarrrggg... it bites me. It has poison! My hole body is becoming numb!

REMA : I am so sorry Dr Ren! everything is because of me!

DR REN : Don't talk like that...aaarrrgg ...huuh ...huuuh! My right leg feels like burning!!

REMA : OHHH noooo.... more of them are coming! What should we do Sou?

SOU : We have to run away from here. I don't have any medicine but I have painkiller.Dr Ren .... please bear with it for now. We will think of something later.

" gulp"

DR Ren drinks the medicine. He still feels nauseous. But they have to hurry or they will die here.

Three of them start running like mad but can't get away from them.

"Haa... haaa...haaa"

"Wait! wait! I can't anymore! I don't even feel my leg anymore"

Rema looks back. The creatures are not following them anymore. They don't know where they are ,but they can feel that they have gotten pretty far from that place.

REMA: Sou... we should rest a little bit. I am also pretty tired.

SOU: Got it. DR Ren... let me check your right foot.

DR Ren's foot has gotten worse. It has swollen and has a bluish colour. It is also spreading very fast. At this rate ,it can endanger Ren's life. Dr Ren also have a high fever.

SOU : Rema ! exactly how much food you have with you? I did't bring with me any.

REMA: Well plenty for two days. But after that I can't say anything. Ummm... well we don't have enough water.

SOU : DR Ren's condition is not good. He is starting loose consciousness. We have to find a human locality. But after observing the surrounding , I don't think there's any near here. Let's first fine a riverbank like place. We have our camping materials. There you can watch over Ren and I will go to find any information.

REMA : Nng.. okay. I also don't feel this forest safe. I can feel that there can be many dangerous beast we don't know about.

SOU : Let's move on. It will be better if we can find the safe place before the night falls. DR Ren ! Come , I will give a piggyback ride..

DR REN : Sou... Rema... I am very sorry for the trouble...

REMA : DR what are you talking about! It is a kind of my fault that you are in this situation.

SOU : It's no one's fault. We just have to be together and everything will be fine.

Sou carries Ren in his back and starts to walk in the front. Rema follows her. In times like this, Sou always acts like a brave leader and proves how intelligent and decisive he is. Rema can feel how trustworthy Sou is.

They don't know how much time has spent. They can't find a way in this vast forest. Their compass is also not working. Dr Ren has already passed out.His breath is unsteady and he is gasping very fast. The sun is also setting. Sou is starting to feel dehydrated as he did't drink a drop of water.

SOU : Rema! can you pass the water bottle?

" Rema! Rema....??"

REMA : Huuuhh... ohhh..yeah . Take it.

Rema is staring back of her. Like she is trying to find something in this darkness.

SOU : What happened? Is something wrong?

REMA : No.. may be my imagination. But I fell like something is stalking us for sometime .

SOU : What can it be? Anyway , we have to stay alert.

The moment they start walking, Rema can feel that gaze again. Suddenly Sou notices that the roots of a tree are crawling on the ground. Like a horde of snakes . As if the roots are forming limbs. Sou gets shocked and does't get any idea what to do in this situation. Rema screams in fear. In a few moments , the tree forms limbs and a human face is carved in the center of the huge trunk.

" Hmmmph... Don't get scared ,my little fellow"

" Run!!.. Rema! run as fast as you can"

" Huhh! wait... don't be scared! I am vegetarian and I don't hurt little fellows"

SOU : Really?

REMA : Can you get anymore stupid ? you are actually believing it!

" No ! really. I will not you all. My name is Gill. I am a resident of LA VOLLY forest community. I only came here to drink soil sap  in the afternoon. Then I noticed you all. I wanted to talk to you as it is not safe here for you humans in night ."
