(Jiang Yue leans forward, his voice suddenly softer.)

"From now on, you’ll only answer to me. No more outside interference. No more… suffering."

(He turns to leave, but Jiang Yue’s voice stops him in his tracks.)

"You will. Because I don’t lose, Lu Zeyan."
(Lu Zeyan’s heart pounds against his ribs, but he doesn’t look back as he walks out.)
