Episode 1: A Church is Born

Introduction

In the heart of Nigeria, a young man named David Chukwuma had always felt a deep calling in his spirit. From a young age, he prayed daily, worshiping God with all his heart. But one thing always troubled him—he wanted a place where people could gather and experience the presence of God, but he had no money to build a church.

One day, after years of waiting and trusting, he finally decided to step out in faith. With the little he had, he built a simple but sacred place—an open space with a standing altar, a Bible at the center, a microphone in his hand, and rows of plastic chairs for those who would come. Overhead, a small roof provided shade from the burning sun. He stood before it and named his church "House of Grace."

Determined to bring people to hear the Word of God, David created a Facebook page for the church, inviting people to come, worship, and grow in faith. But he knew he couldn't do this alone—he needed workers, people who shared his vision.

David’s First Sermon

One evening, with only the wind as his witness, David stepped onto the altar, microphone in hand. He took a deep breath, looked at the empty seats, and began to preach with power and conviction.

📖 "Brothers and sisters, hear the Word of the Lord! The world is searching for answers, but the answer has always been Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Matthew 11:28—‘Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.’ Many of you are struggling. Many of you are carrying burdens too heavy for you to bear. But Jesus is calling you! Come to Him, and He will give you peace that the world cannot give!"

David’s voice echoed through the small gathering place. He continued:

📖 "Some of you feel forgotten. Some of you feel like you are not enough. But I tell you today—God has never abandoned you! Isaiah 41:10 says, ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’ No matter what you are going through, God is with you! He is calling you today!"

As he spoke, people walking by on the street stopped and listened. Some turned their heads, curious. Others felt something stir in their hearts. One by one, they started to come.

The First Gatherers

A young woman carrying a basket paused and sat on one of the plastic chairs. An elderly man leaned against a tree, nodding as he listened. A small group of children sat on the ground, wide-eyed. Slowly, the seats were being filled.

David lifted his hands.

📖 "If you believe that Jesus is Lord, do not wait! He is calling you today! Come and be transformed! Come and find purpose! Come and receive the love that never fails!"

The crowd grew. Some raised their hands in worship. Others whispered prayers. A few even wept, overwhelmed by the presence of God.

From a distance, a tall man in his late 20s watched with a mix of admiration and concern. This was David’s older brother, Emmanuel Chukwuma. He had always supported David, but he never imagined his younger brother would actually start a church.

Emmanuel stepped closer, watching as his brother passionately preached. Something inside him stirred. Could this be the beginning of something great?

Episode 2: The First Sunday Service

A New Beginning

Sunday morning arrived with the golden rays of the sun spreading over the small church, House of Grace. The simple altar stood firm, the Bible still in place, and the microphone ready for the Word of God. The plastic chairs, once empty, now began to fill with men, women, and children who had heard David’s preaching the previous evening.

People from different walks of life came—some out of curiosity, some searching for hope, and some who had already felt the power of God working in their hearts.

David stood at the front, watching as the small congregation grew before his eyes. His heart was full of gratitude.

📖 "Hallelujah! Welcome, my brothers and sisters! Today is a special day because where two or three are gathered in His name, the Lord is present among us!"

The people clapped and responded, their spirits eager to receive the Word.

David’s Sunday Message

David picked up his Bible and turned to Psalm 23. His voice was steady, filled with faith and power.

📖 "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want!" he declared.

📖 "Many of us have spent our lives chasing things—money, success, approval from others—but we forget the most important thing: GOD! He is our provider, our protector, and our guide! When we trust Him fully, we will never lack any good thing!"

Some people nodded in agreement, others whispered ‘Amen.’

📖 "Some of you are going through trials. Some of you are facing storms in your life. But listen to the promise of God: ‘Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me!’"

A woman in the front wiped her tears. A man in the back closed his eyes and lifted his hands.

📖 "My brothers and sisters, God is FAITHFUL! He has not forgotten you. He has a plan for you. But you must trust Him with all your heart!"

The Prayer

After the message, David lifted his hands and prayed over the people.

🙏 "Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I thank You for bringing Your people here today. Lord, You see their hearts, their struggles, their pain. I pray that You touch every person here today. Heal the sick, comfort the broken, provide for those in need. Let Your presence fill this place!"

🙏 "Lord, I pray for the families represented here. Strengthen marriages, restore relationships, and bring peace into their homes. Let their children grow in Your wisdom. Let their households be full of joy and Your presence!"

🙏 "Father, for those who are facing financial difficulties, open the windows of heaven and provide for them. You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider! For those who are seeking direction, let them hear Your voice clearly. Lead them in Your perfect path!"

🙏 "I declare breakthrough! I declare healing! I declare joy! I declare victory over every life in Jesus' mighty name!"

The people shouted ‘Amen!’ Some were in tears, feeling the power of God touching their hearts.

Blessing the People

David then stepped down from the altar and began to pray personally over some individuals.

🔹 To an elderly woman who had been struggling to feed her grandchildren:

📖 "The Lord will provide for you. You will not lack, and your family will see the goodness of God!"

🔹 To a young man who had been searching for work:

📖 "I bless you in the name of Jesus! The doors of opportunity will open for you, and you will be a testimony of God’s favor!"

🔹 To a mother carrying a sick child:

📖 "Healing in the name of Jesus! Your child will recover, and the Lord’s power will be seen in your family!"

🔹 To a man who had lost hope:

📖 "Brother, do not be discouraged. God has not forgotten you. He is preparing something greater for you!"

More People Begin to Come

As David prayed and blessed the people, more people began arriving. Some had heard about the service through the Facebook page, others had been invited by those who had been touched the previous night.

Emmanuel, David’s older brother, stood at the back, watching everything. He had never seen his brother this way before. Something powerful was happening.

The first Sunday service ended with joy, hope, and the presence of God filling the place. Many left feeling renewed, blessed, and eager to return the next week.

But this was just the beginning…

Episode 3: Signs and Wonders

A Church with Worship

It was another glorious Sunday morning at House of Grace. The chairs were no longer empty—the small church was growing. People from different backgrounds came with expectation, knowing that God was moving in this place.

David stood at the front with a smile on his face. Today was special because, for the first time, the church had singers. A small group of five young men and women had volunteered to lead worship. They stood together, holding microphones, their hearts ready to sing for the Lord.

The Worship Begins

As David stepped onto the altar, he lifted his hands and spoke with joy.

📖 "Brothers and sisters, before we hear the Word, let us worship our King! The Bible says in Psalm 95:1—‘Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation!’"

The worship team began to sing, their voices blending in harmony.

🎶 "You are Alpha and Omega, we worship You, our Lord, You are worthy to be praised!" 🎶

🎶 "What shall I render to Jehovah, for He has done so very much for me?" 🎶

The church came alive. Some lifted their hands, others knelt, and a few wept in God’s presence. The power of worship filled the atmosphere.

David took the microphone, closed his eyes, and declared:

📖 "Lord, let Your presence dwell among us today! Let every chain be broken! Let every heart be restored in Jesus' name!"

David’s Preaching

After the powerful worship, David opened his Bible and began to preach.

📖 "Brothers and sisters, today we are reading from Mark 10:46-52, the story of Blind Bartimaeus. The Bible says that Bartimaeus was sitting by the roadside, begging, but when he heard that Jesus was passing by, he shouted, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’"

David paused and looked at the congregation.

📖 "Some of you here today are like Bartimaeus. You have been waiting for a miracle. You have been waiting for a breakthrough. But I tell you today, your miracle is coming! Do not be silent! Cry out to Jesus, and He will answer you!"

The crowd responded with ‘Amen!’

📖 "Jesus told Bartimaeus, ‘Your faith has healed you.’ And immediately, Bartimaeus received his sight! I declare to you today—if you have faith, you will see the hand of God move in your life!"

Testimony Time

David then invited people to share their testimonies.

🔹 A young woman came forward, smiling.

📖 "Praise the Lord! Last week, I came here with no job. Pastor David prayed for me, and this week, I got a new job! God is faithful!"

🔹 An elderly man stepped forward.

📖 "For many years, I could not sleep well at night because of sickness. But after last Sunday’s prayer, I have slept peacefully every night! Jesus has healed me!"

The church clapped and praised God as more people testified of God’s goodness.

Healing a Blind Man

As the testimonies ended, a woman walked into the church, leading an elderly blind man by the hand.

📖 "Pastor, this is my father. He has been blind for many years. We heard that miracles are happening here. Please, pray for him!"

The church fell silent. Everyone watched as David stepped forward with confidence.

📖 "Sir, do you believe that Jesus can heal you?"

The old man nodded. "Yes, I believe!"

David placed his hands on the man’s eyes and prayed with power.

🙏 "Father, in the name of Jesus, I command these blind eyes to open! Let Your healing power flow! In Jesus' name, receive your sight!"

The church shouted "Amen!"

For a moment, nothing happened. Then suddenly, the old man staggered back, blinking.

📖 "I can see!" he cried out. "I CAN SEE!"

The church erupted in praise! Some people fell to their knees, crying. Others jumped and clapped, celebrating the power of God.

David lifted his hands and declared:

📖 "Our God is still a God of miracles! What He has done for this man, He can do for you!"

Offering Time

After the miracles, David announced:

📖 "Now, let us give our offerings to the Lord with a joyful heart!"

The ushers passed around baskets, and the people gave generously. Afterward, David lifted the offering and prayed.

🙏 "Lord, bless every hand that has given today. Multiply their finances. Open doors for them. Let them never lack in Jesus' name. Amen!"

Sharing the Grace

As the service came to an end, David led the congregation in the grace.

📖 "May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forevermore. Amen!"

The people responded "Amen!"

David Announces a Program for Tomorrow

Before dismissing the people, David picked up the microphone and announced:

📖 "Before you leave, I have an important announcement. Tomorrow, we are having a special program—A Night of Worship and Deliverance! If you need healing, if you need freedom, if you need a fresh encounter with God, do not miss it! Come and invite others!"

The church clapped and cheered.

David smiled, knowing that this was just the beginning of something great.
