"Capture the demon Queen! No matter what it takes! Risk your life today and become a hero tomorrow!!" The commander's voice thundered across the battlefield, a rallying cry that stirred the hearts of his soldiers and sent shivers down their spines. Their spirits soared with a fervor born of duty and honor, as they braced themselves for the impending clash with the dreaded demon Queen.
"Yes, sir!" Their response was resolute, each word dripping with determination and resolve. They stood tall, their weapons at the ready, their eyes fixed on the horizon where their enemy awaited.
"The demon Queen must be killed! Demons must be eliminated! They cannot coexist with humans!" The declaration rang out with an air of finality, echoing through the ranks and igniting a fire within the soldiers' hearts. They knew that they were the last line of defense against the encroaching darkness, and they were prepared to lay down their lives to protect their homeland and loved ones.
"Demon Queen, you've been an arrogant, proud woman for your whole life, but today it all ends!" One soldier's voice rose above the rest, filled with righteous indignation and the burning desire to see justice served. His words reverberated through the air, a testament to the collective fury of those who had suffered at the hands of the demon Queen and her ilk.
"KILL HER!!" The cry was taken up by the throng, a chorus of anger and hatred that shook the very earth beneath their feet. They charged forward with a ferocity unmatched, their minds consumed by thoughts of vengeance and retribution.
The demon Queen stood resolute on the edge of the cliff, her once proud form now battered and broken. Blood dripped from countless wounds, staining her ebony skin and pooling at her feet, yet still, the fire in her eyes burned bright. She knew that this would be her final stand, her last chance to defy her enemies and protect the world she had fought so hard to preserve.
For years, she had been a towering figure, a symbol of strength and power in a world plagued by darkness. But now, as she stood on the precipice of defeat, she appeared as both a wounded beast and a fragile flower, teetering on the brink of oblivion. Her heart ached with the weight of her sins, yet still, she could not bring herself to surrender to the inevitable.
The heavenly officials surrounding her, like hungry wolves circling their prey, waited eagerly for the opportunity to strike. Their eyes gleamed with malice and cruelty, their weapons poised to deliver the final blow. They knew that victory was within their grasp, and they would not rest until the demon Queen lay dead at their feet.
Yet, despite her formidable strength and unwavering resolve, the demon Queen knew that continuing the fight would only lead to more suffering and death. With a heavy heart and a weary soul, she made the ultimate decision to surrender, to lay down her arms and accept her fate.
With a heavy heart and a sense of resignation, she took the fateful step off the cliff, a gesture of defiance and acceptance all at once. As she plummeted through the air with astonishing speed, her tattered cloak billowed around her like the wings of a fallen angel. Yet, despite the gravity of the situation, a serene smile graced her lips, a silent acknowledgment of the inevitable.
With each passing moment, the wind whipped past her, carrying the echoes of battle and the cries of the fallen. But amidst the chaos, her thoughts were consumed by the bittersweet memories of a life lived in service to a race that had ultimately betrayed her. A single tear escaped her eye, glistening in the sunlight like a precious jewel, as she pondered the cruelty of fate and the injustices that had led her to this moment.
In her final moments of consciousness, she reflected on the human race that she had once loved, cherished, and protected with all her heart. She had believed in their capacity for kindness and compassion, their ability to see beyond the surface and embrace the inherent goodness that resided within every being. But now, as she hurtled towards her own demise, she couldn't help but wonder if her faith had been misplaced.
Innocence, love, a glimmer of humanity in a demon – all had been her guiding principles, her raison d'être in a world consumed by darkness. Yet, in the end, they had proven to be her greatest downfall, as the very traits that had defined her as a benevolent ruler had been twisted and distorted into weapons to be used against her. Discrimination, born of fear and ignorance, had blinded her enemies to her true nature, casting her as a villain in a narrative that she could never hope to control.
As she hurtled towards the earth below, she prayed silently for a future where such prejudice would no longer hold sway, where her twins, born into a world torn apart by hatred and violence, would be free to live without fear of persecution. It was a fragile hope, a flickering flame in the darkness, but it was all she had to cling to in her final moments of existence. And as she closed her eyes and surrendered to the void, she whispered a silent prayer for peace, for redemption, and for the chance to be reunited with her beloved daughters in a world beyond the reach of mortal strife.
Meanwhile, her husband, fleeing from the battlefield with their precious daughters in tow, ran with a singular purpose burning in his heart. With each step, he whispered words of love and reassurance
to his children, determined to shield them from the horrors of war and ensure their safety in the tumultuous days ahead.
As fatigue threatened to overwhelm him, he stumbled upon an abandoned temple nestled within the heart of the forest. Despite its dilapidated state and eerie atmosphere, it offered sanctuary from the chaos of battle, a haven where he could protect his family from harm and plan their next move.
With a heavy heart and aching limbs, he resolved to make this temple his home, a bastion of safety in a world torn apart by conflict. And as he entered its ancient halls, he knew that no matter the challenges that lay ahead, he would face them with unwavering determination, for the sake of his beloved daughters and the memory of their courageous mother.
17 Years Later, the twins' teenage years:
Both the girls, grew up to be very beautiful. 17 years old, yet both of them had become expert scammers, the reason, solely being their hard life on the streets, after their father passed away 13 years ago.
They weren't in an extreme need of money for food or anything, because even if they didn't eat for 5 days, they'd be all good and fine, the partial demon blood in their veins was their source of power, but those five days were a limit, their powers weren't awakened yet, so they did need food after 5 days. Mostly, they only wanted expensive clothes and a good place to live in.
Their cultivation powers could rival the peak lords of the famous mountain with 13 peaks, but they weren't trained professionally so their strengths were not that high for now.
The lord of the 13 peaks had opened the gates of the mountain to accept new disciples. They did so every 4 years so, you could either go there at a very young age or later, but younger the age, better the training. The teenagers of noble families were usually sent there to train. The reputation of the training in the mountain was on its peak. In a small town, full of gossipers, the news spread like the plague, and reached the ears of the twins. They really wanted to go to the peak!
"Jadie, I want to go there to raise my cultivation level!! please? I want to become strong and beat up those people who've wronged us! Pretty please?" said menacy, acting all cute to convince her sister.
Jade saw how her sister was desperate to go so she smiled and said "Alright, but only if you behave. What about the travelling costs? You do know that it takes 5 days to go there on foot, and 2 days on a horse, don't you?"
"Yes, jadie"
"I'm fine with walking, but will your lazy *** be able to handle it?"
"Of course not!! We're going to earn some money today."
menacy winked. Jade had a poker face but after seeing her wink, her face went from red to green to various spectrums of colors before returning back to normal.
As they walked, Menacy was thinking about something and smiled to herself. Jade saw that and asked her, "So, how are we going to earn the money? Money doesn't grow on trees like mangoes, We need to think of something."
"Hey Jadie, come on, don't you know that your cute lil sister always has some ways to do that?"
Menacy winked. Again. This time it didn't affect Jade's expression much but that didn't mean she didn't cringe in her mind.
As they were walking, They reached the corners of a bustling market. Hustle bustle, here and there. It was a noisy market, a very noisy one. Some were bargaining peacefully, some were yelling, some actually fighting, accusing others of theft and what not.
Menacy had thought of a perfect scam for the over smart and the dumb people of this market. She was looking for a man who would suit this type of preference. The 'dumb and greedy' preference.
Jade was walking slowly right behind her sister. Menacy suddenly stopped in front of a store. They hadn't seen this store before, which means its a new one. A new store, means a need of customers, treating their first customers like gods and a need of a lot of earning.
The merchant sitting inside, in a small cabin was a short man, with a fat belly. He was wearing a gold chain around his neck. It was a jewellery shop.
Menacy was already dressed in an elegant dress, looking like she was from a noble family, While Jade wore a simple dress. So the merchant stood up from his place and came out to welcome them with a smile that was probably fake.
The shop merchant eyed them from top to toe and then gave a flattering smile, then continued, "Hello miss, what are you to buy today? Our shop has the best and one of the most expensive jewelry sets in this whole town."
Menacy smiled, with an attitude of a rich lady she said, "Oh yes, show me the most expensive jewelry set you have in your shop, I have to go to a big wedding function and I want to look the best."
The merchant looked around, searching for the set, while Menacy sat and Jade stood right beside her. Menacy played the role of a daughter of a rich noble family while Jade played the maid.
As soon as menacy saw the merchant bring the sets, she gestured Jade to go and choose one for her.
Jade went and chose the diamond necklace.
The merchant handed her the necklace and said, "Miss, these sets are the most expensive ones in my shop, their designs are so amazing and rare that you won't be able to find another one like this."
Menacy replied, "Perfect, Thats what I've been looking for."
Jade gave the necklace to Menacy to try it on after examining the diamonds properly.
Menacy of course, liked it since it was expensive. Very expensive at that.
She told the merchant that she liked it a lot and asked him to pack it for her.
Menacy asked Jade to give him the money and Jade, a good actress started her act! She first searched for the money pouch in all the possible places it could be kept then, in a panicked state, she said,
"OH NO!! Miss, I'm really very sorry please don't kick me out! Please! I'm so sorry!!'
"What are you sorry for? Be clear."
"Madam, I...I...."
"What?"
"I lost the money pouch!!"
"..."
"WHAT?! You're not joking are you?! Tell me the truth! How could you be so careless?!"
Jade kept quite and silently started crying.
Menacy turned towards the merchant who was silently watching all of it and said, "Sorry for the inconvenience, as you saw, My maid lost the money pouch, But don't think I won't pay you. My uncle lives nearby and is a taoist priest known for getting rid of bad spirits possessing innocent humans."
"So I'm getting my money, right?"
"Yes, you just have to follow me to his place and he'll give you the money," said Menacy, smiling pleasingly.
The merchant agreed happily thinking that he'd get his money, but he didn't know what was coming for him. He asked his wife to take care of the shop while he was out.
He followed the two girls and came in front of what looked like a big temple, a majestically constructed temple. He thought that these girls were rich as hell and he might be able to get a higher price than the original value of the necklace.
As soon as they reached the entrance, Menacy said, "Sir, you'll have to wait here with me, till my maid goes to my uncle and asks him to make the arrangements for the money."
Menacy told Jade, "Go inside and make the servants aware of our presence and make the necessary preparations."
To this, Jade replied hesitantly, " Ye...Yes m-miss."
Jade went inside and saw the giant godly structures inside the temple but she didn't waste any time in sightseeing, her work comes first. She immediately searched for the priest.
She found the room the priest was in, but before entering, she decided to prepare herself as she wasn't as confident with this as Menacy is, even after years of scamming various people. She told herself, "Jade, you and your sister need the money, you must do it. You're not robbing a poor man, he has many sources to gain his profits even if he faces a loss. I can do it!"
Jade was anxious, but she prepared herself well, she had complete control over her mind and she was calm. She entered the room.
The priest was meditating in a well lit room, with him sitting in the centre. Different brooms, that seemed to be the 'spirit chasing' brooms, a pole rod and various other tools were neatly settled in the corner.
The priest opened his eyes and looked at her.
Jade started her acting, looking very sad, she said, "Good afternoon respected priest, I'm here to seek your help today."
"Yes, tell me how can I help you miss?" The priest said, smiling.
Jade started her Oscar winning act and said, "Sir, My father has been possessed by a very wicked spirit. We own an agricultural farm and we're only middle class people but since the last week, he keeps saying that he wants his money for the expensive jewelry set with diamonds and that those girls tricked him, we really don't know what he's talking about, so we concluded that he must've been possessed. Please help us sir."
Jade almost started (fake)crying, looking helpless and poor. The priest saw her and said, "Miss, don't fret, I'm a very reliable priest, I can easily identify Demons and humans and those evil spirits that possess innocent humans. Is he outside? Send him in, I'll take care of him and then all your problems will be gone."
"Thank you so much! I'm really glad that I came here to seek the Great Priest's help." said Jade, smiling widely.
"I'll send him in."
she went outside and told Menacy that she had made the preparations and Menacy told the Merchant to go in and get his money, The merchant was very happy and went into the room and asked the priest, "So where's my money for the diamond jewelry set, sir?"
The priest heard him and said, "So it really is the case as the young miss told me."
The merchant agreed and grinned, "Sir, so the..um...money?"
The priest went and brought his 'spirit chasing' tools and told him, "Yes you will soon get what you want, YOU EVIL SPIRIT! GET AWAY FROM THIS INNOCENT MAN!"
and he started chanting various Mantras and hitting him with the brooms and what not while the poor man could only yell in agony.
The Merchant yelled and screamed, but within the closed doors, nobody could hear his screams. He went on yelling the words, "Those girls took away my money! Those petty scammers!! I WILL REMEMBER THIS FOREVER, YOU SCAMMERS!!"
But his screams went unheard, he felt really wronged.
Meanwhile, the girls both had already ran far, far away from that place with the necklace. Running side by side, happily giggling and laughing.
