Transferred to a new school in my second year of middle school, hmm.. i dont like the sudden change of environment but i guess i have to since im forced anyways, i hope i dont mess things up in my new school, i was just doing fine in my old school.. but not turning back now, as i took a deep breath. As soon as i stepped into my class, i noticed them staring a bit weirdly at me.. "huh? what are they staring at? is there something wrong with my face" as i touched my face thinking that there was something in my face, as i did, i noticed a slight figure in the corner of my eye. I turned around, it was.. a boy? he had a cold, firm look, probably in a bad mood? but it's only the first day, well for me. "What? Something wrong?" he asked confused. "Huh? oh, sorry" i stepped back to let him in. Not gonna lie he looks quite handsome but nevermind, i dont wanna think much about it. "Geez, took long enough" he said firmly. "You could've just asked me to move? " i replied. "What?" he said as he stoppes his tracks, eyes glaring at me. "You heard me? you could've just asked me to move then have a problem with me cause you didnt wanna say anything" i replied standing my ground. Didn't know how or why but i felt shivers down my spine but i didnt pay too much attention to it. "You better watch your mouth shorty, or else" he said while turning around to face me. "Or else what? who are you to boss me around?" i replied. "Excuse me?" he said, his voiced has gone more deep, seems he was really pissed.

"You know what, maybe we got off at wrong end of a the stick, let's start over, Im just new student who transfered here, alright?" i said to him, not wanting any trouble since it's only my first day. "Who are you to boss me? like you said, you just transfered, so why dont you just go, it'll be nicer for both of us" he suggested. "Why you-" as i was cutted of by a sudden shout, "SETTLE DOWN CLASS, ASTER, GO BACK TO YOUR SEAT" as the teacher shouted by the door. This "Aster" guy then starts looking pissed but he obliged. As soon as he went to his seat, i then looked at the whole class looking aghast, like they had seen i ghost or something. I didnt even realize the people in the class, my mind was just too pissed at that boy or "Aster" guy. "Ok Class, we have a new student here, why dont you introduce yourself Miss.... " said the teacher walking beside me. "Oh, hello everyone, my name is Luna".

"Okay you may take a seat beside..." said the teacher while scanning for an empty seat. "Oh, she can sit beside me miss!" exclaimed a girl, raising her hand. "Oh very well then, you may sit beside her" the teacher said while pointing. I then walked to the empty seat, some were still staring, i could feel their eyes looking. "Hey there, Luna? my name's Mandy, sorry for my boyfriend" she said. "Boyfriend? I thought we was just lonely as how he's such a jerk" i said pissed. "Yeah... its kinda his personality, dont know how it happened, he just suddenly changed after first day of middle school, but dont worry about that, have a seat first" answered Mandy. I then snapped back from my thoughts, realizing i was still standing by the desk the whole time, so i sat beside her. "By the way, who does he think he is? and also, why everyone was staring at me just now, i dont get it" i asked, curious. "Well.. he's kinda more of the 'You better not mess with me or i will rip your head off' type, and so people tend to avoid him, they're just shocked cause your the first who talked back and went unscathed" she replied, sweating a bit. "Huh? nonsense, he's just all talk, he looks more like a softie than a savage type" i said, not realizing that i was talking a bit too loud that "he" heard it. "What's that supposed to mean pipsqueak? " he said with a sturn face. "Dont mind about her babe! " she exclaimed looking worried. As she said that, i heard a sudden "tch" sound as he turned his head back to what he was doing in the first place.

A few months go by i already felt more comfortable with my new school, Mandy became my closest best friend. Even though we met for only a few months, it felt like i knew her for years, we had so much in common. The only thing i dont like about her is her boyfriend, he's still a jerk, no difference there. Now that i think about it, i havent seen both of them being all close like boyfriend girlfriend close. It's more like a one-sides thing, Mandy keeps being clingy to him but he seems cold towards her? Does he even like her? Why are they together then? Nevermind, im just overthinking it.

A few months go by again and it's all still the same, though Mandy got a new friend, her name's Sophy, if i recall. They didnt really tell me how they both met and became best friends but it's fine, the more, the merrier. "Hey Luna, you still there?" asked Sophy. "Huh?" i jolted after hearing the sudden voice. "You kept staring at your food, looked like you were about to vomit" said Sophie. "Oh, it's nothing, have you seen Mandy?" i asked. "She went to the toilet just now, you were too busy in your own mind" she replied. "Oh alright then, i think im also gonna go to the bathroom, brb" i replied. "Oh ok" Sophie replied waving while i was already walking towards the bathroom. Hmm.. why was i going to the bathroom again? I cant recall, was it to use the bathroom? I dont think so? "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?.. " someone shouted. Huh? Did i hear something? It sounded like Mandy? or am i still overthinking it? Maybe i should check it out too see clarify it.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WANT TO BREAK UP WITH ME?" shouted Mandy, "WE'VE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 2 YEARS OR MORE, DID EVERYTHING NOT MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU?". " Oh please, dont make a fool out of yourself, you know why I'm breaking up with you!" exclaimed an unexpected voice. "ASTER, YOU'RE JUST BEING PARANOID, WE HAVE NOTHING GOING ON? WHATEVER, IF THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT, FINE! YOU WILL REGRET IT!" Shouted Mandy as she stormed off passed beside me, not noticing i was there. "What a fake bit-" said Aster, as he cut off his words after noticing i was there, "What do you want shorty?". "Huh? Oh, why was Mandy shouting? What did you do?" i asked firmly. "It's none of your business, you shouldn't eavesdrop to someone else's conversation pipsqueak" he replied while being pissed but still calm. "Well i wouldnt be eavesdropping if you didnt do anything to Mandy, now tell me, what did you do?" i asked glaring at him. "I did nothing, but you wouldnt believe me anyways so get lost" he said as he walked away from me. I stood there in silence, what happened? Then i ran to Sophy to see Mandy crying and Sophy comforting her. "What happened to Mandy?" i asked, pretending to not know anything that happened before. "She broke up with Aster, she said it's because Aster cheated on her" said Sophy, still comforting Mandy who's crying on her shoulders. I wanted to trust her, but the words Aster said, 'you wouldnt believe me anyways', it seems believable but.. o dont know anymore, i should comfort Mandy first then resolve the matter later.

A few months later, we're already in the last year of middle school, time flies so fast. Mandy has moved on from Aster but i dont think she forgot about him, Aster still looked cold, no change at all, dont know if he moved on or not. Sophy is becoming more close to us, she's been talking more to me lately. I have not changed a bit, i think? Im still pretending not to know anything from what happened a few months before, i dont want to think too much of that. "Listen up class, there will be a competition held in a couple more weeks, the competition are all sports related so please discuss on who should participate, because each class has to bring out one representative for one competition, there are a total of 10 competitions, i will write down the 10 competitions in the whiteboard, you guys decide on who should represent for our class" explained the teacher as she wrote on the whiteboard the 10 competitions that will be held. "I hope you choose the right ones, cause in my 20 years of teaching, i haven't had a single trophy from the classes i teach, but for this class, i see a few promising students so i hope we will get atleast one or two trophies, but if we dont get any, then atleast you tried" said the teacher after writing on the whiteboard. "I will come back later to see the students names in the whiteboard" said the teacher as she walked out of class.

The teacher left and everyone in class then begun discussing, what are the 10 competitions anyway. "Hey guys, are you intending to compete? Seems a lot more fun if all 3 of us joined! " Suggested Sophy. "I dont know.. what were the competitions again?" i replied. "Ok class, we should discuss this now since we have free time, the competitions are track running, long jump, archery, basketball, football (soccer), baseball, swimming, volleyball and tennis. Who should we choose to represent, and since we're discussing, raise your hand if you intend to join and select which one, if there are more than 1 who wants to compete in the same competition, then we'll do a selection, this is excluding track as it needs 1 girl and 1 boy, " spoke the class president. "Oh, I wanna join, I wanna choose baseball! " answered Sophy immediately. "Alright we have one, anyone else? " asked the class president. "Me too, I'll choose swimming" answered another classmate after Sophy. The class then started raising their hands and selecting which they want to compete in. "Alright, is that it, or is there anyone else? we still have no one in archery and track running, " asked the class president. "Hmm, Mandy, what will you choose?" i asked. "Im not quite sure, what will you pick? " she replied. "Probably archery? I'm quite precise" i answered. "Is there anyone else? " asked the class president again. "Oh, I'll join the archery competition" answered Mandy almost instantly. "Alright, now we need a boy and a girl for track running? who will it be guys? " replied the calss president. "Mandy? Why'd you choose archery so suddenly? " i asked confused. "What? I was planning on joining the archery competition in the first place" answered Mandy. Well, that was weird, if she had planned it first, why would she ask me on what i would choose? Strange but ok then. "Nobody? Really guys? If there are no volunteers then i will pick 2 random names, if i pick them, no complaints" suggested the class president. The class was still silent, nobody raised their hands or replied. "Alright then, i guess I'll choose randomly, let's see.. " said the class president while squinting his eyes. "Ah, the new girl, Luna! You're competing, " said the class president. Me?? I dont think i can run that fast to be able to compete in the competition, but the class president said no complaints.. deep breaths Luna, you must try, for our class, hopefully the other person that got picked is someone who's good and not Aster- "ASTER! WHY ARE YOU LATE? " shouted the class president, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Pssh, whatever, you guys aren't doing anything anyways, why should i care? " replied Aster mockingly. "Well, if that's the case, we got our last person to compete, Aster, you're competing in the track running competition, no complaints, " said the class president. "What? You're seriously making me compete? Fine, whatever" said Aster a bit pissed. "So that means it's final, we have ourselves the representative of the competitions" said the class president.

He then continued with the list of names who joined and who needs to be selected. "For volleyball, we have Sophy. For archery, we have Mandy. Finally for track running, we have Aster and Luna, it's all set" stated the class president. "What? It's bad enough you're forcing me to compete in track running, now you're making me get paired up with this shorty? " complained Aster, "Like seriously, out of EVERYONE, why'd you choose her? What in your right mind thought that it was a good idea for her to join, huh?". "Seriously? I'm not that bad, and besides, are you too chicken to be paired with someone like me? " I mocked him. "Chicken? Who are you calling chicken? Do you know who I am? " Answered Aster. "Uh no? Obviously, i just transferred here like almost a year ago? What's so special about you anyway that you had to pull the" do you know who I am? " Card, like what? You think you're so special" I answered. "Uhm actually, he is 'special', before your joined, he won first place in track running in the first year of middle school," said the class president. "Heh, the truth has came out, what? cat's got your tongue?" said Aster mockingly while leaning a bit closer to me. "You wish, like i said, how am i supposed to know? Actually, since you were the first place track runner, let's put it to the test at the competition, i bet i'll be much faster than you" i suggested. "Ohoho, you sure about that? What if i win?" he replied. "I'll do whatever you want from me as long as I can do it" I answered, "So, what if I win?". " The same as yours, I'll do whatever you want from me" said Aster.
