Are you seriously just going to leave me here? To take care of myself? Alright fine leave I don’t care.” After saying that I stormed out of the house and went to the local park. I was thinking “ how could my parents just leave me there and go to Europe for work. What were they thinking when they decided that they would go there?” I had so many questions but no answers. After walking in the park I bumped into someone. “Oh hey there Liam” Said the person. I looked up and saw a familiar face. It was Rei my classmate. One day he suddenly started following me around and talking to me but I ignored him. After like a week I started to not hate his presence and we kinda became friends? Well anyway, I stepped back and apologized. Rei said something but i couldn’t hear him, everything was blurry and after what seemed forever, everything went black. I saw a familiar scene. I saw me and my parents walking in the same exact park and having fun. I thought to myself “Am I dreaming?” It was true I was in a dream. When the scene shifted to another scene. This time it wasn’t a happy one. It was the time I overheard my father and mother having a serious conversation.

“We have to do this.” Said my father while my mom was sobbing. “I know but it’s hard. I know that it’s for better for his dreams. And that we have to do it. But it’s so hard.”My mom said while crying. Father hugged her and said it was going to be alright. I didn’t understand that time, but now it hit me. They were leaving so I can follow my dream. How could i be so blind I thought to myself when all off a sudden I heard Reis voice. It was trying to wake me up. I ran towards it the voice got louder and louder until I woke up breathing heavily in Rei’s arms. When i looked up I Saw Rei’s worried face. It looked like he was going to say something but I cut him off saying “No time to explain, take me to my house!” When we got there, my parents were about to step into the taxi. I yelled out “Wait!” They turned around, surprised to see me standing there with Rei. My heart raced as I desperately shouted, "Im sorry I left” I stood there frozen while looking at the ground. My parents came closer and hugged me while saying” Oh Liam we are so sorry. We just want whats best for you. We know you will achieve your dream if you stay here. Don’t worry we will come to visit.” I looked up tears pouring down my face. I hugged them back wishing this moment would never end. But after hugging for around five minutes they had to leave. I sobbed As I saw the taxi leaving. After they left I headed inside but I heard Rei behind me asking what just happened. I completely forgot he was there. I turned around and told him to come inside. We went to the kitchen and asked him what he wants to drink. He answered “ Oh, um I can have some tea?” He said visibly confused. I nodded, putting the kettle on. The tension between us was palpable as the steam began to rise, signaling a brewing conversation. “ Well I guess you wan to know what happened, am I right” Rei nodded in agreement. I started to explain everything while finishing the tea. By the time I was done explaining the tea was done. I picked up the cup with tea and turned around to hand it to Rei. I sat down and gave him the tea. I started to sip on my tea when I hear him say. “ So now you are going to stay here alone?” I looked up so i could look at him. He looked worried again.

It stings me seeing him so worried again all because of me. I started to stutter trying to explain. “ No, no I am going to be fine don’t worry about me. How about I stay at the school dorms? That way I wont be alone.” Rei looked at me with his puppy eyes. “Really you will?” I nodded. I looked at Rei he was smiling. I felt this warm feeling. What is this I thought to myself. After Rei left I went to bed. The next day I decided to go to school so I can get a dorm. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon as I made my way to the school. I went to the principal to ask permission to move in. “ Hello Mr. Win. I have a question to ask you.” I said. He signaled me to come and sit down. “What can I do for you today? ” he asked pleasantly. I answered “ I was wondering if there is a free spot in the dorms? And if yes if it would be alright off me to move in?” Mr. Win told me to wait here while he went to check some documents. After a while he cane back and said.”You’re in luck we have one spot left in the room 156. You could move in there but you will be having a roommate.” I told him with relief that i don’t mind sharing a room with someone. “‘Very well then you can move in first thing tomorrow.” Said mr. Win. I once again thanked him and left the office. For the rest of the day I did the usual went to class took notes ate lunch and finished the rest of the school day. On my way home I met up with my friend Izumy. He was my best friend since childhood. He doesn’t talk so much. A complete opposite of Rei. I told Izumy about me moving into the dorm and all. He was pretty surprised but offered to help me pack. I declined because I knew he had an important project to work on. After walking for sometime we split ways and went home. When I got home I spent the rest of the day packing so I could move in as fast as possible. “ Finally all done!” I said. I was happy to go to shower and sleep. The next morning I woke up sooner than normally so I would have time to get ready. Right after I got ready I went to the building where the dorms were. I took the elevator to the second floor and found my room. I was nervous I mean what if my new roommate is some gang member. Well I thought to myself that, that was probably not going to happen. After standing for about two minutes I picked up the courage to knock on the door. I heard footsteps coming from inside my heart was racing. I looked on the ground and saw the door move. Right as I was going to introduce myself, I heard a familiar voice it was Rei’s voice.” Hello you must be the new dorm mate I’m getting. I looked up to see Rei. He was wearing a baggy white shirt with baggy black pants. His hair wasn’t in his small ponytail, it was down. Wow i never seen him like this he looks handsome i thought to myself. The next second I realized what i just thought “ What did I just think!?” I said in my head. Reis voice brought me back to reality. I looked at him again but this time he was already looking at me. I panicked and said “ Oh, um sorry i zoned out a bit. But I am guessing we are going to be roommates now aren’t we?” I chuckled as i finished that sentence. “ Well come in, make your self at home.” I looked around. It wasn’t so big there were two beds and two desk. Well there was also a door to the bathroom I’m guessing. Its small

But cozy I thought. “ I never expected us to share a room. Soon we will live together.” Said Rei. “ Oh yeah I never expected it either.” I said realizing it will be awkward from now on, because every time I think or talk to him I remember the moment i thought he looked handsome. I tried to ignore it and went to take a shower. I was in there for about ten minutes when I heard Rei calling for me. “Hey, Liam are you okay in there? You in there for a long time now so just checking that you didn’t drown or something.” I said that I am alright and soon coming out. “How cute he worries about me.” What did I just think. No he is not cute why am I thinking this. I got embarrassed and left the shower. I told Rei that I am going to bed. “ Oh good night Liam love you.”

“ Im so sorry it’s just I got used to saying it before. I didn’t mean it! Im sorry.” Rei stuttered trying to explain. I felt hot it was as if I was in an oven. What is this? Snap out of it and say something. “ It’s fine font worry about it.” Rei ran to the bathroom embarrassed. I chuckled. That night I couldn’t sleep I was stuck thinking about all the things I thought and what Rei said. The next morning I almost didn’t wake up. But after some time i got ready and went to class. Before I left Rei called out to me.”Liam will you eat lunch with me on the rooftop?” I answered.” Alright see you then.” And got in my way to class. In front of the classroom I met my friend Izumy. We talked until class started. After class Izumy told me he wont be having lunch with me because he already has plans. I told him not to worry about because I also had plans. After I made my way to my second class. “English”so boring I thought. I spotted Rei sitting in his spot and i waved at him. He noticed me and waved back. For some reason that made me so happy. “Again?” I thought. “Seriously what is going on. Do I like him ? There is no way. I like girls right?” I didn’t know what to do so I just tried to forget about it. After class I met Izumy on my way to the music room. “Im so tired.” I said. Izumy asked me why. I explained I couldn’t sleep the whole night yesterday. I looked at Izumy but he looked was deeply in his thoughts. “See you later. Im going to practice now. Dancing? Yes.” When I got to the music room I closed the door and locked it so nobody would come in. Because when I was a kid other guys would bully me for liking to dance. They called it girly. And after they started to call me Liana instead of Liam. I hated it before hit it has changed now. I started practicing. Five minutes into training I hear clapping. I look behind me shocked to see our music teacher. Turns out she was there the whole time. See you then.” After she said that she walked of. I was so happy I almost forgot that I gad to go eat lunch. I agreed to meet up with Rei at the rooftop. “Oh you’re already here.” I said to Rei he nodded and signaled me to sit down. I sat down next to him and started eating. We talked for about five minutes and then Rei looked at me and said.” Liam look here.” I turned my head towards Rei. His face was so close to mine i could feel his breath on my face.
