"'cough''cough', Why, WHY DID YOU BETRAY ME?" shout Alex to his companion

"Why, you ask? Ask yourself why. We have done so much for you, for the group, even many sacrificed themselves to keep the group safe. But because of your greed, even my sister has died!" one of his companion explain

"Your sister? I didn't mean to get her killed. I even told her to stay and let me go alone!" said alex trying to convince his companion

"It's to late now. There's no way to bring her back. You have to atone the sin of leading my sister to death with your life!"

*Swiish* *Splatter*

Alex's head fell to the grown while spilling up blood

"Enjoy your life in the afterlife" said his companion while frowning

"Ah, this is it. My life has finally ending. I've done many mistakes, and some of my mistake involve my friend and led them to dead, including my parent. Father, mother, i'm sorry. Ahh, I'm so tired. Now is the time for me to sleep in peace" said Alex as he close his eyes

*......*

*chirp chirp*

"Wh-what happen? I'm not dead yet? ugh i can't move" Alex confused

"Ohhh look at him, he's so handsome" said the nurse who helps the delivery

"But why is he not crying after being born?" ask the mother

"Maybe because he takes after his dad, strong and devoted" answer his father confidently

"Hahahah ohh you"

"What's happening? Could this be, i'm reborn? And, i'm a baby?" said Alex in his mind as he started crying

"Ahh what's gonna happen to me now?"

*6 YEARS LATER*

"Mom, Dad! Look at this!" said Alex while putting his hand up

" 'focusing' Fire Palm!"

*Whuush* *Whuush* a fire appeared on his hand

"Whooa my son is so talented!" praise his mom

"Yeah, honestly. To be able to read and write at the age of 5 is something, but using magic at the age of 6 is incredible. My son surely takes after me hahahahah" said his father while laughing

"C'mon, Calvin dear. You're already 28 years old and you're still at intermediate mage rank 2. Alex is surely more talented than you"

"Hahahah it's a joke Tasya. But, even though he's born as commoner, surely Alex's talent will get recognized by the emperor and he can at least become the Royal Knights or Court Magician when he grow up later"

"Dad, what's a court magician?" ask Alex curious

"Ah, court magician is a group of skilled mage that personally serves the royal family beside the emperor" Calvin explain

"But it's a dangerous job you know. You'll have to protect the royal family from assasins all the time" said his worried mother

"Don't worry mom! When i grow up, i will become the strongest mage in the kingdom so that no one can beat me!" said Alex with confidence

"Fufufu, i'll be looking forward to it then!" replied Tasya with warm smile

"Then i'm going back to train outside" shout Alex while blushing and started running toward the door

"Eh? Why is he blushing?" ask Tasya curious

"Isn't it because you're pretty?" Calvin asked back

"Ohh you, fufufu" laugh Tasya

"Be careful, Alex! Don't go to the forest! It's dangerous." shout Calvin

"I get it! See you later!"

*Sitting on the ground near the house*

"I'm now 6 years old huh, time sure flies after i've been reincarnated"

From what i've gathered, looks like this is a world of magic, where magic rules above all. This is the Nil Village, a village at the eastern side of the kingdom. The kingdom is split into 4 area, at the corner of the kingdom is the Village, then Suburbs, City, and lastly in the middle is the Palace. There are terms like Nobles and Commoners, and discrimination exist among them. Only nobles are allowed to live at the palace. Another example is the squad division. There are 4 stages of mage, starting from the lowest is Lower Mage, Intermediate Mage, Upper Mage, and Expert Mage. Each stages consist of 10 ranks. To be allowed to join royal knights the minimum requirement is you have to be at least Upper Mage. Royal Knights are a group of magic swordsman that served directly under the emperor to protect the kingdom. Commoners is able to become royal knights, but unable to become Court Magician. Court Magician serves the royal family therefore should be nobles. There are only few cases where commoners get to be a court magician, only if you're recognized by the emperor or the empress. There is also court rank for nobles, but i forgot about that. I'll ask dad about it later.

By the way, it looks like i'm quite talented. The average age of people started using magic is 10, while i can already use magic at the age of 6. What surprised me the most it the fact that i don't need to do the chant of some lower rank magic like fire palm and water slice. I have 3 elements affinity, which is Fire, Water, and Dark elements. Father told me that dark elements is very rare even among nobles and it should be used with extreme caution, because overusing it will darken your heart and make you evil. At first i didnt believe it. But after i tried to use shadow step, it's like i get forced to remember my past when i was a heartless and greedy killer. It's said that to be able to master shadow element, you have to find a partner of the opposite gender that can use Holy Magic to help neutralize the darken effect. For that, father said he will recommend me to the academy of magic when i reached age 10.

"Alex, where are you? It's time for your first sword lesson!" shout Calvin looking for Alex

"Ah i'm here dad! I'm coming" replied Alex while running toward Calvin

"Now that i've been reincarnated, i'll make sure to protect my family, and not succumb to greed. Now time to start my new adventure!"
