Ushijima: You all did a good game today.

Semi:Yeah, you all seem like your gonna be the best, make us all proud.

Goshiki and Shibata start crying.

Tendo: hey, don’t cry. How are you guys gonna lead the team if your gonna cry over this.

Semi: Yeah. You guys should focus on being the best.

Goshiki goes to practice a little bit more, he thinks to himself “why aren’t they more upset!?, I would be crying until I couldn’t”

Goshiki sees that Ushijima is there.

Ushijima: You shouldn’t worry about us. Us third Years wouldn’t have made it so far anyway.

Goshiki is upset “Ushijima, we would have made it so far. I’m sorry I didn’t do my best.

Ushijima: it doesn’t matter now, since your gonna be the next ace. I decided to help you practice.

Goshiki: you don’t have to help me.

Ushijima: I have too. I’m gonna make sure you guys beat karasuno, make it to nationals.

After Ushijima and Goshiki practice. They are both ready to go home.

Ushijima: You guys are gonna have practice matches with some powerful players. Until then, Im gonna teach you and the rest all, me and the third years know.

Goshiki: Even if you did teach us, none of us will be as good as you, Ushijima.

Ushijima: you will never know. You may even surpass me.

As they both say goodbye to each other, Goshiki imagines him becoming the best ace anyone has seen.

The next day.

Tendo and semi arrive with Ushijima, they plan to teach the rest of the team all moves they use for certain situations.

Ushijima: hey. Tendo and semi, I want you guys to try and help boost their confidence. They seem like they don’t have any hope.

In the coroner, he sees the former Libero teaching Akakura all tips on catching the ball.

Shirabu: it’s a shame they won’t be able to play anymore.

Goshiki: yeah. If only they could have stayed longer.

Ushijima: I want you to try and hit the ball with all your strength, and try to aim inside the court.

Ushijima: alright guys! Time to work on your blocks!
