Hey 👋, I just wanted to say thank you for reading my first GL Chat story, I hope you enjoy it and that you check out the upcoming side stories! Well then here goes the first episode...

I walk on the gravel path around the campus, a soft tune playing from my headphones as I admire the scenery of spring blooming, I get lost in my thoughts thinking of how my second year is about to begin, the sheer thought giving me shivers…, I continue to zone out staring at my feet.

As I'm walking, subtle unnoticed footsteps follow behind me before someone grabs my shoulders, Startled I turned my head quickly.

Minjun, Kim (20)

"Soo-Noonaaa~ whatcha thinking about?"

Soo, Gae (21)

"It's none of your business…, I thought I told you to quit sneaking up on me didn't I?"

{Minjun Pouts slightly before grinning}

Minjun, Kim (20)

"I heard you're switching majors, is that true?"

Soo, Gae (21)

"Yeah, I'm switching to Economics and international trade"

Minjun, Kim (20)

"Whyyyy?? We won't have many classes together anymore!"

"Exactly"

{Soo walks away with a grin, as Minjun stands there seemingly upset}

I continued with my task before Minjun interrupted me, following the populated gravel path towards the college's front gate.

After exiting college grounds I continue with my route home as usual before noticing a large newly opened BBQ restaurant, it was heavily crowded and seemed like a popular hot spot, I'd go their now, but I was already quite late at getting home, so I walked past it.

As my walk comes to an end, I stop Infront of the large gated entrance of my house as push the fence, I think to myself "Finally Home!" before someone yells at me…

"oh, Soo-ya Your finally back, Grab me a beer from inside while your going in!"

"I'm literally just in the door, and you're nagging me already Unnie?"

Yujin, Gae (27)

"Quit complaining and get it already"

I sigh and walk into the house kicking my bag to the side and walking into the kitchen, I crouch down in front of the cooler and rake through the ice to grab a glass bottle of chilled beer.

I walk back outside and throw the bottle at Yujin.

Soo, Gae (21)

"Heads up!"

Yujin, Gae (27)

"Don't throw it!"

{Yujin luckily caught the glass bottle before it fell to the ground}

"The next time you do that it'll break!"

"You say that every time"

I smirk and walk away

I take off my shoes at the front of the house and slip on my house shoes instead

"You're late"

I look up

Soo, Gae (21)

"I thought you'd still be in bed, Eun Unnie"

Eun, Gae (25)

"ha ha very funny, now go help mom and oppa quickly before you get in trouble."

{Eun watches you walk away before returning into her room}

I Make my way to the living room and find my brother and mom trying to set a TV up

"you guys suck at this"

I say as I walk over

"We wouldn't have been struggling if you'd come earlier! You know your brother sucks at this!"

"Hey! I offered to help when Soo-ya wasn't here"

"I am better than Min-oppa thanks for noticing mom"

Min, Gae (31)

"I guess my help isn't needed then"

{Min stands and leaves}

Ari, Gae (49)

"I didn't say that! You know he's better than you at almost everything but technology.."

Soo, Gae (21)

"Maybe, but I'm better personality wise"

I Chuckle to myself

Ari, Gae (49)

"be nice to your brother!"

Soo, Gae (21)

"fine... well then what do you need me to do?"

Ari, Gae (49)

"I can't seem to get the static screen to go away??"

{Ari said as she clicks the Remote repeatedly}

"well if you keep smashing the buttons like that it's bound to not work.."

"Just hand me the remote"

{Ari hands it over}

I press one button and the TV goes back to normal

"really? that's it?"

I nod

"if we're done here I'm going to go study"

i walk away and into my bedroom flopping down onto my bed with a sigh

"I wish...."

"I wish I could have some peace…"

"Maybe even a little would be nice…"

I think about how chaotic my family is and sigh

"I should get out of the house for a while…"

I sit up before grabbing a coat and my bag, heading straight out the door

Ari, Gae (49)

"soo? Where are you going?"

Soo, Gae (21)

"I'll be back at 8!"

Ari, Gae (49)

"Hey soo!"

(Ari hurries outside as I run out)

Ari, Gae (49)

"Ugh, that girl.."

I walk down the street shivering a little from the cold as I pass by the barbecue restaurant from earlier, smelling the grilled meat I pause

Soo, Gae (21)

"mm.. Meat.."

I turn and head into the restaurant looking around before sitting down at a single table

A server comes up to greet me

"Hello there! What can I get for you today?"

I look down at the menu before saying

"uhm, I'll have a serving of jeyuk bokkeum..."

*jeyuk bokkeum is spicy pork barbecue

Soo, Gae (21)

"and a single bottle of sake"

Server

"is that all for you today?"

Soo, Gae (21)

"Yes please"

Server

"It'll be ready shortly!"

(the server walks away)

I press my chin on my hand as I look around the restaurant spotting only a few other customers, as well as a table of Guys dressed in tacky suits and cheap chains

Among that group was a girl who was dressed the same way

I continue to stare at her before she makes eye contact with me, I quickly look away
