The B Mafia (BL)

New mission

' "Please spare my life, I beg of you. Please don't kill me."

Lian's mother grabbed the guys' right leg pleadingly and the guy looked at her disgust creasing his facial features.

He bent down and grabbed the lady by her hair causing her to let out a painful yelp," Filthy trash like you should know their place."

He forcefully threw her down and her entire body shook with fear. He raised his gun and fired. The loud sobs slowly quieted down as the dead body fell limply to the ground and he kicked it. He smirked and walked out of the house…'

Lian slowly opened his eyes and sat up. He stretched his hands above his head and looked around his shabby room. He let out a low sigh, got down from the bed and headed to the bathroom. The water flowed down his pastel hair, trailed down his cheeks and down his body. After a quick bath, he put on ordinary clothes, tied his gun holder to his waist, slid an extra bullet magazine into his pocket and walked out. The walk to the police station was short and he directly walked into his office.

"Morning Lian."

"Morning," he replied without lifting his gaze from the case files.

"Still searching for the killer?"

He slowly nodded his head and Tyler placed a cup of coffee in front of him. Lian froze and looked at him brows furrowed in confusion.

"What? Coffee's good for you," he said and Lian turned to the files.

"Thanks but no thanks, you can drink it yourself."

Tyler slammed his hands over the desk and Lian looked at him," Do you think I poisoned it?"

"Whether you poisoned it or not doesn't have anything to do with me," he said his tone indicating finality.

Tyler scoffed and angrily stormed out of the office nearly knocking down Rin.

"OUT OF MY WAY!"

"What's his problem?" she asked taking a seat on Lian's desk," here for you."

Her long cherry red hair fell over her shoulder and onto the case files spread across the table as she placed the cup on the desk and Lian looked at her.

"Rin. Your hair."

"Sorry, it has gotten a bit long don't you think?" she asked tying it up messingly," better?"

Lian nodded his head in gratitude," Thanks."

He took a sip from the cup and Rin picked a file from the pile before her and skimmed through it.

"Your mother's case?"

"Mmh," he replied and Rin closed the file placing it back on the desk.

"Didn't the police close this case already? Something about it being an accident?"

"They did but I know that wasn't the truth, my mum was murdered. Nothing about her death was an 'accident' as the police so claim it to be."

"So you're going to try and find the guy who killed her?"

"I swore to avenge her and bring her murderer to justice and I plan on fulfilling it."

"Just don't push yourself too hard, if you ever need any help, you know where to find me."

Lian nodded and opened the fourth file. Rin looked at him and sighed. She got down from the desk, pat Lian's shoulder and walked out softly closing the door behind her. After finding no useful clues in the files before him, Lian groaned and leaned back on the chair looking at the white ceiling.

"Why can't I find anything? This is so annoyingly frustrating!"

He closed his eyes and took in deep breathes to clear his mind and to calm down. He looked away from the ceiling once his office door slammed open.

"Lian, boss is calling for you."

"Understood. And would you mind being gentle next time? Maybe a knock on the door?"

"My apologies sir."

He sighed and waved a dismissive hand. He then stood up and headed to the boss' office. On the second knock, he walked into the lavish office.

"You made it Lian. Please…"

He indicated for him to sit and he did so without a word. The boss rested his head on his crossed hands and eyed Lian causing his body to tense up almost immediately. The boss had a habit of calling people into his office for two reasons; one was to end the person's career and two was to promote the person.

"Did I do something wrong?" he asked and the boss' eyes softened a bit.

"Of course not. You are one of my best employee."

Some of the tension on Lian's shoulders dissipated at this and the boss cleared his throat.

"So, let's get to the main reason as to why I called you here."

The seriousness in his tone made Lian flinch a bit but he didn't show it.

"So ever heard of the group called 'THE B MAFIA?'

"Yes. My mother used to tell me stories about them, why?"

"It has been brought to my concern that that group is behind some killings your mother included."

At the mention of this, he sat up right listening keenly.

"My mother? But… they are the good guys, they would never kill innocents."

"We are all humans Lian, sometimes we can't simply suppress our desires to kill. You understand what I mean right? Believe me, I have your best interests at heart."

"Of course sir, what should I do."

The boss nodded amused by this and Lian clenched his hands into fists under the table.

"Back to the work at hand, I am assigning you to infiltrate them and report to me what you find."

"You want me to go and spy on them?"

"Yes. You should find solid evidence of their sinful acts so that we may bring them to justice… you believe in justice don't you?"

The boss knew how important solving his mother's case was for him and he also knew that if there were any leads as to her murderer, Lian wouldn't hesitate to take the case.

Lian nodded and stood up," You can leave that to me."

The boss nodded his head in satisfaction," You may leave."

Lian walked out of the office and immediately bumped into Rin.

"Why were you called into boss' office so early in the morning? Are you getting fired? Should I start looking for a new friend?"

Lian chuckled and flicked her forehead," What do you mean by fired? Am the best officer around, who'd want to fire me?"

Rin slowly rubbed the place he hit her, her lips pouted," You're awfully confident about your tenth grade performance huh?"

"Tenth grade?"

"That aside if he didn't call you in his office to fire you, are you getting promoted?"

"What! No!"

"You do know those are the two things the boss would call to say right? Besides, weren't you bragging about how ' capable' you are just now?"

"Of course I do. And no I wasn't bragging and for why I was called, the boss just assigned me a mission."

Captured

"Really? Why did he go through all the trouble as to ask for you personally? He could have sent over the case document file don't you think? What type of case did he assign you?"

"Not here, let's head to my office," he said looking around," there are so many ears and eyes around."

Rin looked around, shook her head and together they made their way to Lian's office away from the so called eyes and ears of the police building.

"So what about the case? Can you tell me now that we are away from the crowd?" Rin asked taking a seat.

"Nothing much just told me to spy on The B."

"Wait! The B? The mafia group?"

"That's the one."

"But why them? Aren't they a righteous group?"

Lian shrugged and took off his badge placing it in the drawer," They are but if they are involved in crimes, I will bring them to justice."

"And why did boss pick them? Did he at least tell you the reason?"

"He said something about them being involved in the murder of righteous people."

"That doesn't seem right. Did he tell you anything else?"

"What's up with you? Why are you so concerned about this group?"

Rin pursed her lips and Lian raised his brow.

"Rin… is there something I should know about?"

"What do you mean?"

"Quit playing dumb Rin, the way you were asking about the group was… how should I say it… it was somewhat odd."

"Odd? I was just surprised by why the chief said that about the group," she replied her mind trailing off as she blankly stared at him.

"Rin, what's wrong? You suddenly have the lost look in your eyes, is there something I should know?"

"Huh? No, it's nothing you may leave. Good luck with the case."

Lian nodded and walked away Rin staring after him.

The phone rang once, twice and on the third call, Ding answered the call.

" This better be good," he said.

After the person from the other side of the line finished explaining everything, Ding hang up the phone and stood up. He walked out of the office and headed to his car.

"To the dock."

"Yes sir," the driver said and started the engine bringing the car to life.

Lian lay among the containers overlooking the men off loading the ship. A sleek black car drove into sight and Lian lay still camera in hand.

"I just need to get some shots of this illegal shipping," he said to himself and positioned himself using the shadows of the huge containers to his advantage.

From the sleek car, Ding got out and with hands in his pocket, he stood watching the offloading of the crates. Having full focus on the man and the goods, Lian took pictures and on the fourth picture, the man's eyes moved from the cargo and landed on the camera. A smirk played on his lips and Lian fell back leaning against the container his heart beating loudly in his ears.

"Did he see me? There's no way he could have seen me. Right?"

Feeling a little bit relieved, he slowly began to crawl from his hiding spot only to be stopped by two men.

"Hi gentlemen, I was just about to leave."

The first guy threw a punch at him and he dodged running down the opposite path. Two more goons appeared in front of him and trapped him.

"Can't we talk things out?"

The four goons closed in on him and he slowly withdrew from them only for his back to rest on the container wall. Frantically, he looked for an exit route but found none, he had to deal with the approaching goons first. The first man attacked and Lian dodged retaliating with his own attack. As he was fighting off the last of the goons, a strong arm pulled him back and before he could analyse the situation, cold metal wrapped around his wrists.

"Who…"

He turned around and met with a pair of cold, golden eyes belonging to the guy he had taken pictures off.

"You… let me go this instant!" Lian said frantically pulling on the silver cuffs binding his wrists.

"Watch him," Ding said to one guy and headed to the edge.

He picked up Lian's camera and turned to face him.

"What are you doing with my camera?"

"You took photos of me right?"

"So what if I did. Are you going to destroy my camera?"

"You're smart."

Ding threw the camera down with enough force that it shattered to pieces.

"My camera! Why you…"

Lian broke free of his captor and rushed towards him. Just before he reached him, he was tackled and he fell to the ground face first. The impact with the rough ground left a bruise on his cheek and the sting from when his sweat mixed with the cut made him wince. Ding knelt in front of him and tilted his chin up so that he could look directly into his eyes.

"Interesting, you've got some skills," he said and Lian spat on his face.

"Sir!"

Ding wiped his face with the back of his hand and stood up an amused smile on his lips.

"Boss, we got company."

"Take him back, you know what to do."

"Understood."

The men dragged with them a struggling Lian and threw him onto the back seat before settling on each side of him.

"Don't worry kid, they won't do anything bad to you. That is until I tell them to."

He stood from the window, tapped the roof of the car twice and watched as it drove out of sight. Four cars drove into sight and stopped in front of him.

"Well well well, long time no see brother."

"What brings you here?" he asked coldly and Tsun smiled.

"Why are you so cold brother?"

Ding shrugged and turned his attention to the men finishing on the last crates.

"My men are almost done offloading the ship."

"How's your group? Heard you protect the righteous now."

"Which song bird told you that?"

"Don't play dumb brother, everyone knows about this. Even father…"

"Won't you load the crates in your car?" Ding asked cutting him off and Tsun sighed.

"At least take two crates with you brother," he said.

"No need I…"

Tsun grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and unwaveringly stared into his eyes.

"It's not up for discussion, you MUST take two crates with you, that's an order."

Ding defiantly stared back with an unbothered expression on his face. Slowly, his hands came up and wrapped around Tsun's before gently freeing himself from his grip.

"As you wish young master," he replied and turned his back to him," and next time, refrain from grabbing me, you just left some creases on my clothes."

"Loosen up brother, you can get new ones anytime you want. I'll even pay for the clothes."

Prisoners should know their place

"That will not be necessary but thanks for the thoughtful thought," he replied and turned away from him.

Tsun grabbed his forearm and Ding turned to look at him and his gaze lowered to the place he grabbed.

"You will take two crates won't you?"

"Fine. I will take two crates."

"Great!"

He snapped his fingers and his men began loading the remaining crates into the waiting vehicle. Ding watched this in silence and once the loading was done, Tsun turned to his brother once more.

"The annual meeting is approaching. Father wanted me to let you know that you are invited."

Ding opened his mouth to respond but Tsun held a finger up silencing him," Don't say anything. If you want to protest, make sure to tell father that. Am just a messenger."

Ding sighed and nodded his head," I'll see if I will be free."

Tsun smiled and got into his car. Ding watched on as the cars drove out of sight.

"Should we load the crates into the car?"

Ding walked towards one crate and flipped the lid open revealing numerous firearms. He traced his fingers over a gun before picking it up and inspecting its design.

"Not bad."

"Sir?"

"Take it back to the warehouse," he said and got into his car.

"Here we are."

Lian, who had been obediently following orders, got down from the car and looked at the building before him. A slow whistle escaped his lips at the sight.

"Nice place you got here."

"Get moving!"

The guy behind him pushed him and he stumbled forward nearly tripping.

He found his balance and mumbled inaudibly," Would it kill them to be less aggressive?"

He was led past the guards at the entrance of the magnificent house, down the hallways and down to a dark room. The goon threw him into the room and locked it behind him leaving him in darkness.

"Hey!"

Lian struggled to a sitting position before looking around him not that there was much to see in the pitch darkness of the room.

"Great. They could have at least turned on the lights before leaving me here. Hmm, maybe if I can find a light switch..."

He slowly stood up and began walking towards his left trying to feel for anything. After taking around ten steps, he tripped and something cold shattered onto the floor just inches away from his feet. He took a step back not wanting to get injured from whatever had fallen to the ground. He took three steps to the right and walked forward before falling and landing on something soft.

"Guess I won't have to worry about sleeping on the cold floor."

Using his shoulders and knees, he successfully managed to curl up in a comfortable position on the bed. The movement of shackles had him sit upright on the bed wide eyed.

"Hello?"

Receiving no response, he shook his head dismissing the negative thoughts in his mind. He lay back down and ignoring the pain shooting from his wrists, Lian who was completely exhausted, drifted off to sleep.

"Where is he?"

"Sir, we locked him up in the room as you requested."

"Did you take the cuffs off him?"

"No sir."

"Good."

Ding walked past them and headed to his room. He sat in front of the screen and watched Lian fumble in the darkness. He brought a hand to his chin and watched Lian trip and break the vase.

"Interesting."

He continued watching him and once Lian was cuddled up on the bed a smirk formed on his lips.

"It's amazing how he completely ignored the dangers lurking in the corners of the room and fell asleep. What an interesting person."

The door opened and the bright light filled the dark room. Lian groaned and opened his eyes at the noise. He blinked twice trying to clear the darkness in his eyes and adapting to the light.

"Look at that, he's still alive after spending a night here," a voice said and Lian tried to focus on the two dark figures before him.

"Who… are you? Where… am I?"

One guy walked across the room and grabbed him by the hair causing him to let out a pained shout.

"Hey!"

"Listen here, this is our turf and no one is allowed to speak unless spoken to. Am I clear?"

Lian shut his eyes trying to distract himself from the pain shooting up his scalp.

"I asked, AM I CLEAR?"

Lian winced under his grip but said nothing. The guard threw him face down onto the floor and moved to kick him but the second guard grabbed him.

"Don't! You will get in trouble for laying a hand on him before boss' orders."

The guard scoffed and walked out of the room leaving a helpless Lian on the ground. The door shut behind the two and once more, Lian was back to the darkness of the room. With a low boost of strength, he successfully managed to flip himself over and lie on his back staring at what he assumed was the dark ceiling. Ding walked down the stairs and stood before the door housing Lian.

"Boss, the prisoner…"

He held up a hand and the guard bit his tongue.

"Open the door."

"Sir."

The guard brought up a pair of keys from his pockets, inserted a key into the keyhole, turned the door knob and swung the door open. The light filled the room and landed on Lian causing him to groan.

"What? Back to ask if I understood the 'rules of your turf?' " he asked with his eyes closed.

"You are awfully lively aren't you?" Ding asked as he walked towards him.

Lian's eyes flew open at the familiarity of the tone," You… you're the one who captured me."

Ding grabbed him by his hair and pulled him up from the ground and onto a kneeling position.

"Glad you remembered."

"What do you want from me? You already destroyed my camera."

"Right I did destroy your little gadget," he replied his fist tightening on his hair," bring me the chain."

"Sir? Are you su…"

Ding turned his gaze from Lian to the guard," When I ask for something, you get it without questions."

The guard flinched at his tone and ran out of sight. Seconds later, he walked into the room with the choke chain and handed it to Ding who took it a satisfied grin on his lips.

"What are you going to do with that?"

"This? It is to tame disobedient prisoners," he replied and Lian could feel cold sweat trickle down his back.

Ding grabbed his chin and tilted his head up so that their eyes could meet. Lian shut his eyes and turned his head to the side but Ding tightened his grip on his chin.

"Am sure this will look good on you, don't you?"

He brought the chain into view and Lian looked at him.
