Narayana Private School has earned a reputation across India for its academic excellence and notable alumni. Interestingly, the school has also been associated with several Indian freedom fighters who have studied within its walls. Many desire to get admission to such an academy whereas very few get admission.
One of many boys stood out not because he tried to get admission through backdoors but due to his excellent grades and intelligence. Samved, he is a well known student ,his father, Mr. Rajiv Singhaniya, he is a retired Indian army officer, known for his discipline and achievements whereas his mother is a teacher, under such guidance he grew up to be a young man with great discipline and a fire within him to earn a reputation, name and status for himself.
He believes in supreme lord Krishna and believe that one's own actions leads to consequences. He got his admission in 9th , through a message school asked students to be present for orientation .
"Dear students,
your school are starting tomorrow on the 15th 06/25 , be prepared with necessary materials in class 313"
Waking up early, he ran towards the bathroom and started getting ready for the day , today he was finally going to school ... that's when his mother shouted
"VEDDDD...." shouted his mother,
"coming" ,he said running downstairs and hugging her.
" Here your breakfast" she said placing masala dosas , he smiled and ate them , filling his stomach with delicious treat.
He bid goodbye to his mother and walked towards his school ,
He was never excited for such things, his father got promoted alot due to this they couldn't stay at one place and had to be continuosly moving, due to this he had few friends but in different state
"was it going to be good?
"is he going to make friends?he thought,as
Multiple questions running through his head , he reached krishna's temple, removing his shoes , he prayed
" god , i wish to get opportunity, please help me reach them " he said as he reached about the bell, touched god's feet and left .
Upon reaching his School, his eyes wandered for his class, he sat across the teachers bench and waited for everyone to come . An unknown individual Came and sat by his side, and they became friends "Mihir and Samved".
The orientation began as his class teacher Ms.Sonali smiled at him, as she began speaking
" good morning students, I'll be your teacher for thIs year and will help you get through, now , i would like everyone to start with their introductions ,likes and dislikes"she said
She sat down as students began their introduction and what they would like to do in this class.
First Encounter
As the students settled into their seats, their teacher, Ms. Sonali, invited them to introduce themselves and share their interests and aspirations. The first student, Anil Singh, confidently shared his passion for reading and singing, and his dream of becoming a writer. The class applauded, and Anil smiled, feeling proud of himself.
As the introductions continued, Ved's turn approached. He stood up, feeling awkward and uncomfortable. At 6 feet tall, he often felt self-conscious about his height, and speaking in public only added to his anxiety. He took a deep breath and began, "Good morning, I am Samved. I love technology and want to develop something that can benefit society." He quickly sat down, trying to calm his racing heart.
As Ved gazed out the window, lost in thought, a sweet voice caught his attention. "Good morning, everyone. I am Inika Srivastava. I love to dance and write poems, and I believe in the supreme lord Krishna." Her smile lit up the room, and Ved's heart skipped a beat. For the first time in his life, he turned around to look at someone, and that someone turned out to be breathtakingly beautiful. Her beauty melted his heart, and he felt a sense of wonder he had never experienced before.
The bell rang, signaling the end of the orientation session. Ms. Sonali stood up and reminded the students to behave well and avoid getting into gangs or fights. As she left the room, another teacher, Mrs. Bharti, entered. She was their history and political science teacher, and Ms. Sonali introduced her with a warm smile.
Ved was still lost in thought, replaying the moment he saw Inika. He didn't even notice the interaction between the teachers until Mihir patted him on the back. "She's calling you," Mihir whispered, nudging him to look at Mrs. Bharti. Ved stood up, showing respect, and Mrs. Bharti asked him, "Who invented the printing press?" Ved was caught off guard, but he quickly composed himself and replied, "Johannes Gutenberg."
Mrs. Bharti looked at him with a hint of surprise and asked him to sit down. After the class ended, Ved approached her, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Ma'am, I'm sorry I was lost in thought earlier. I'll make sure to be more attentive in class." Mrs. Bharti smiled kindly and said, "I know, I saw your face. You're a good student, Ved. Just be mentally present in class when you're physically present." Her words were laced with a hint of sarcasm, but Ved appreciated her advice.
As Ved walked out of the classroom, he couldn't help but think about Inika. He had never felt this way about anyone before, and he wasn't sure how to process his emotions. He looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of her, but she was nowhere to be seen. He sighed, feeling a bit disappointed, but he knew he would see her again soon.
Little did Ved know, this day would change his life forever. He had taken the first step towards a new journey, one that would be filled with excitement, love.

Six months had passed since then, and Ved still couldn't get used to seeing Inika every day. His heart would race every time he saw her, and he couldn't help but feel excited. As the mid-term exams approached, Ved devoted most of his time to studying. He would often see Inika in the library, but he never had the courage to go up to her and sit beside her.
Finally, the exam results were out. Ved eagerly looked at the notice board and saw that he had come in second. Inika had come in first. But instead of feeling disappointed, Ved felt happy for her. He was standing near the notice board, lost in thought, when he felt someone beside him. He turned to see Inika standing there, smiling at him.
"Samved, congratulations. You came second," she said, extending her hand. Ved shook her hand, feeling his heart beat faster. "Thank you, congratulations to you too. You came first... I lost against you, but..." He didn't finish his sentence, but Inika tapped him and asked, "But what?" Ved just smiled and said nothing.
Inika left with her friends, leaving Ved with his racing heart. As the midterm examination ended, the vacation began. Ved spent his time teaching children with his mother. They both taught children from economically backward classes.
One day, after his lectures ended, Ved was walking home when he saw Inika again. She was wearing a beautiful pink and white floral dress, and Ved couldn't help but stare. She smiled at him, and Ved smiled back, feeling his heart beat faster. He walked home, lost in thought, wondering what would happen next between them.
After the Diwali vacations, Ved didn't expect Inika to approach him first. But she did, with a bright smile on her face. "Samved, how was your Diwali?" she asked.
Ved's heart skipped a beat as he replied, "It was great, thanks." He wanted to say that it was beautiful because of her, but he couldn't muster the courage to express his feelings out loud.
Inika smiled and asked, "How was yours?" Ved was taken aback by her interest in his life.
Inika then asked, "What were you doing during Diwali?" Ved looked at her and said, "My mother and I were teaching underprivileged children."
Inika's eyes widened in surprise, and she gasped a little. "That's awesome!" she exclaimed. "I want to do something like that too, but I don't know where to start," she said, making a cute pout.
Ved smiled at her and offered, "If you want, I can help you. Just let me know when and where." But before they could continue their conversation, the bell rang, signaling the end of the break.
