She was excited to start her university journey, the real journey she’s been preparing for. The hostel master finally checked her luggage and she was free to enter, she was in a room of 4 which made her mother extremely uncomfortable and begged her daughter to change her room but she stood firm.

After settling down, the rest of her roomate was also in the room, “let’s introduce ourselves, i’m Ria it’s nice to meet you”, “i’m june and this is claire, it’s nice to meet you too” all of a sudden the door burst open and ria realized it was her best friend from secondary school, “OMG” ria shouted “how are we in the same room?” katy(ria’s bestfriend) asked i have no idea but i’m happy. After the introduction of all the roomates (june, claire,ria and katy) they all went out to have dinner.

A week has passed since the school resumption and lectures are to begin on Monday, ria was nervous but the first lecture for 2hours went well and she had no other class due to the school resumption issues. Ria and her roomates decide to have a tour of the school, june immediately stood up “i have someone who would love to show us around” she said with a smile, “with the way you’re blushing, is this person your boyfriend?” ria said teasingly which made the other roomates laugh “he is not my boyfriend but i like him a lot, he’s my friend from secondary school and he’s a fresher like us but he knows the school well, should i ask him to give us a tour?” june said “you can ask him it will be the perfect time spend time with him but keep him away from ria, we all know she’s the most attractive one” katy said with a smirk “beauty isn’t everything and besides not all guy falls for… attractive girls😒” ria scolded katy “ria, katy isn’t wrong, didn’t you see the way guys were looking at you during physics class with your perfect face and aura no guy can resist” claire said laughing and katy joined her. Suddenly ria kept quiet and said to herself “only if the know the lonely girl behind this pretty face” and she suddenly had memory of her being bullied for her appearance “you’re thinking about those dumb bullies” katy said with a serious face and advice ria to forget and move on and ria responded with a smile.

“he said yes guys” june came into the room smilingng. they all stood up and followed june to where they were supposed to meet her mysterious crush. june decided to meet him in front of a cafè, as soon as they got there katy, ria and claire all stopped shock “why did you guys stop?” just be asked confused “HE IS GOOD LOOKING, THE BEST SPECIMEN OF A MAN, DAMN!!” katy said with love puppy eyes, both claire and ria agreed. “you guys need to relax, he’s mine remember and you guys aren’t the first person that thinks he’s handsome, now let’s go” june said with a laugh.

“daniel?” june approach him and they hugged these are my friends and also my roomates. “hi i’m daniel” he said “OMG his voice i’m going to faint” katy said to herself, “hi i’m ria and this is katy and claire” she said since katy and claire were having their fantasies he smiled and turned to june “let’s begin” he said. Has june and daniel walked in front of ria she couldn’t help but admire his back view “wow even his back view is attractive” she said to herself, the tour went great but before daniel left he said to june “i was thinking will you like to hang out tomorrow if you’re not busy?” “of course but i’ll have to check my time table then i’ll text you” june replied with a smile, he smiled back and waved goodbye to katy, ria and claire.

“he finally asked me out” june said with a scream, “yeah yeah let us sleep we just walked for like 2 hours ok?” ria said with a smile. they all went to bed but june stayed up texting daniel with a smile before falling asleep.

Ria woke up early for her class, she was having one of her main course and she wants to make a good first impression, she got there early with her friends in her department, they talked and laughed and suddenly group of boys walked in, she quickly recognized daniel and the made eye contact but he quickly looked away and stayed with his friends and she really didn’t care. Thiss went on for 3 weeks and she later found out that daniel was studying quantity surveying and she was studying architecture so they had similarities in courses.

After 3 weeks it was time for fresher’s night, ria decided to wear a black short gown and she looked fantastic.

“are you trying to steal all of the boys” katy said with a smirk “shut up and let’s go” ria said with a smile, they got to the venue and all eyes were on ria, “why are they staring so much” ria asked “because you’re looking like a movie star” katy respond with a smile and they both laughed. The party started and everyone was dancing while ria was sitting in the corner scrolling through her phone feeling bored “you can’t sit here all night, come on” katy said as she dragged ria and took her to the dance floor, ria relaxed and danced with katy all night but few minutes before the party ends group of guys circled ria and pushed katy away, ria got so angry she tried to run but she was surrounded, suddenly daniel came and said “babe what are you doing here? you said you wanted to use the toilet, let’s go” he pulled her away and took her to a corner “are you ok? did they hurt you” he said and gave her a bottle of water to calm down “ i’m fine, thank you for saving me” she said with a smile “you’re welcome, be careful next time” he said with a smile and it made ria’s heart skipped a beat. “ria are you ok?” katy shouted as she ran to see her “yes i’m fine thanks to daniel” ria said with a smile, katy took ria away after thanking daniel and they left the party. “i’ll be back, my guy friend, he’s name is fred wants to see me, can you sit here and wait ?” katy said with pleasing eyes “sure but please hurry up” ria responded.

“fancy seeing you here” daniel said with a smile “oh, it’s you, i’m waiting for katy” she said with a smile “it’s not good for you to stay here alone after what happened at the party, let me walk you to your hostel” daniel said reaching out his hand for ria, she happily accepted. ria and daniel talked all the way to her hostel, “you’re so cool to talk to and i thought you were a snob” ria said jokingly “i’m sorry if i made you feel i was unapproachable, i have hard time bonding with new people” daniel replied “it’s ok, i understand” she said with a smile. They finally got in front of her hostel and exchange numbers and finally said goodbye.

Ria and daniel got closer in three days, they hung out but always with june but ria couldn’t shake the feeling that june was glaring at her and seemed rather mad anytime she hang out with daniel and her, so she left early and lied that she had an important assignment to do leaving june and daniel together. Although daniel and ria are just good friends she was already developing feelings for him which was very bad because june likes daniel and she can’t betray her friend so she kept the feelings to herself.

On a particular night, Ria got a text from daniel “can we talk? i feel like you’ve been avoiding me” “sure we can talk” she replied “i’m in front of your hostel, meet me outside” he texted “kk” she replied. Ria got out to talk to daniel and told daniel that she’s been busy that’s why it looks like she’s been avoiding him, daniel believed her and they walked under the beautiful stars talking nonstop, in a moment daniel’s hand accidentally touched ria’s hand and she felt sparks like there’s a connection between her and daniel and she wished she could just kiss him but she quickly shook the feelings away and reminded herself that daniel is june’s future boyfriend and she can’t come in between them.
