Just as their laughter echoed, a gunshot shattered the night, the sound silencing the whole alley. Taehyung watched in horror as the thugs slumped to the ground, their mocking laughter silenced in an instant.
Confusion and dread washed over him. What just happened? Is this universe's way of playing with him? His heart raced faster than his thoughts. Before he could process what just happened, a figure emerged from the shadows.
Relief washed over him only to be swiftly overshadowed by a chilling recognition. The man who stepped into the dim light was not a stranger. He was a ghost from the past.
