The snow blazed fiercely as the people of Athens quickly ran into their home for shelter. A girl stuck out her hand from a mansion's window

"It's snowing fiercely again, can we go out for a run?!" A little girl asked smiling as she opened the curtains under the moonlight, her rare silver hair shone brightly with her pale with skin.

Her lashes fluttered open revealing her silver pupils, she quickly shuts them back out of pain and dizziness, she fell towards the floor but before she could hit the ground a pair of cold arms caught her. She closed her eyes waiting for the pain to come but it never did so she peeked at her surroundings meeting a pair of deep red eyes staring at her angrily.

The little girl quickly broke out a smile as she stuck out her tongue in a silly manner

"It's snowing now, can we go for a run?" She asked again but this time out of strength so she whispered.

The moonlight shone on the red haired girl except it had no effect on her. Also she had a spitting image of the silvered hair girl.

"Being silly again, what were you doing under the light? Do you want to die?" The red haired girl scolded as the silvered hair girl shook her head almost immediately. A thin lie separated the girls as the red haired girl wore black clothing in the light while the silvered hair girl wore white clothing in the dark.

As she was about to reply, she was interrupted by the sound of glass chattering as a man's voice followed

"I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" The male voice said

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" A feminine voice replied screaming back at him

"I'M SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR ATTITUDE!!"

"ATTITUDE?! What attitude? All I did was ask where you went to last night!"

"What are you trying to imply?! Why are you like this?!" The man asked as the woman froze

" Why am I like this? You want to know why?"

"Yes, yes I would very much like to know why you are like this!!" The man replied as the woman threw a brown paper at him

" EXPLAIN THIS THEN!!" The woman shouted as the man picked up the papers the froze, the atmosphere became tensed as everywhere was silent.

The 2 girls peeped from their room as the silvered hair girl gasped lightly

" Oh oh, it seems mom has found out, after dad we will be next" She said shivering

" Quit it" The other girl said as the silvered hair girl made an acting of zipping her mouth

"So does it change the fact that you are with me? Does it change the fact that you love me?" The man with silver hair asked as the woman shook the paper at his front

" I SAID TO EXPLAIN THIS! Please tell me what is in here isn't true" The woman begged with a slight tremble in her voice

" Stephanie, I..." Skyler said reaching out for her but Stephanie took a step back avoiding his touch. His hand froze in the air as he stared for a while before squeezing it and withdrawing

"It's true" said as Stephanie turned to him in tears

"It's true? You are telling me all my life the person who u have loved, who I have adored and looked up to, who I want to see everyday and have 3 children for IS A UNDERWORLD CRIMINAL?!" Stephanie shouted as the two girls turned to each other then to Skyler

"Busted" They said in unison as a whisper

" It's not as you imagine, I am still the Skyler you loved..I.."

" The Kai I love wouldn't keep things from me, he wouldn't tell me lies, he won't deceive me for 20 years! We've know each other for 20 years, childhood sweetheart. Yet I know from an outsider that you are an underworld boss, a mafia!"

" Who told you that?" Skyler asked

" SO NOT THE POINT!!" Stephanie said in a fit of rage as Skyler remained silent

"So you admit it's true?"

"Honey....." Skyler said as he reached out to Stephanie who avoided his touch by taking a step away

"Don't touch me, I don't want to be tainted" Stephanie said as Skyler got hurt, he frowned but put in a smile again

"I can explain, you see..."

"Don't...not today, not ever again" Stephanie said a she walked out.

The 2 little girls peeped out of room, the blacked hair girl snorted as she walks away leaving her twin sister to watch the scene.

"Hey aren't you going to see what will happen?" The silvered hair girl asked

"What else? It's the same everyday"

"Not today, she found out our secret! I think we really broke her this time"

"We've been in this game for 10 years and heard mom said she would leave dad nine and a half of those years, did it ever happen?"

" You have a point, I guess no dinner tonight it is then, Mafia rule number one"

" Hmn hmn"

" I just can't believe it, who doesn't give their children dinner on new years?!"

" This family, come on I save something for us" The black haired girl said as the silvered hair girl's eyes shone brightly at the statement.

" Tch! Little foodie"

" Sister knows me best" The silver haired girl said before the sound of plate crashing interrupted her then the sound of Stephanie yelling was heard

The black haired girl held the plate in her hand so firmly as it broke startling the silvered hair girl

"SISTER!!"

"I'm fine, it's nothing"

"Nothing?! You're bleeding!" The silvered hair girl said as she quickly tears off her clothes wrapping the injury

"Thanks Silver"- The black haired girl said as the silvered hair girl bowed pouting her lips

-"Uh.. what's wrong?"

"Could you not do that all the time? I don't think I can take it, seeing you hurt makes me feel worse"

" UH...silver....hmn", The black haired girl nodded as the silvered hair girl crashed into her arms

" I love you sister"

" I love you too silver" The blacked haired girl replied as they shut their shelves from the noises in the background

"We won't separate, ever promise me", The silvered hair girl said as the blacked haired girl replied

"I promise"

The sun rose hours later, the girls woke up and got out of bed

" I wonder if the neighbors can have a break today, the snow is a little heavier than usual" The silvered hair girl said

"Yeah, it's likely a storm will set out hours from now"

" You can tell?" The silvered hair girl said as the black haired girl nodded

" You?"

" I can't predict anything, sister you really are amazing" The silvered hair girl said smiling

" Let's freshen up and let's go find breakfast " The black haired girl said as they both got out went to the bathroom, freshen up and walked out, the blacked haired girl wore a black torn robe and the silvered hair girl wore a white torn robe

They both set out opening the door to the room together

"HAPPY NEW....." The silvered hair girl said before she froze at the sight of the messed up living room

"Find mom!" The black haired girl said as she ran into the kitchen seeing Stephanie on the floor beaten and injured, she laid in a fetal position, her legs folded towards her stomach and her hands wrapped securely around her stomach.

"Mom! Did....did dad do this?" The black haired girl asked as Stephanie opened her eyes, one was in a black circle ring indicating she was hit there and her cheeks swollen, blood pouring out of her head and hand

"HE WENT TOO FAR THIS TIME!" The black haired girl shouted frustrated as Stephanie sighed smiling

"Diana it isn't your dad's fault, I pushed him too far I guess, I'll take it as a mood swing"

" A mood swing that can only be taken care of by beating his spouse? What a man!"

" DIANA! YOU WILL NOT SPEAK TO YOUR FATHER THAT WAY!" Stephanie scolded alarming the girls as the silvered hair girl quickly hugged Stephanie

" Please mom, don't shout, you are injured, you are too tired, please don't shout"

" Diane I'm sorry to scare you" Diana said as Diane shook her head

" Diane is not scared, Diane is only worried, Diane thinks that sister is right, Father doesn't treat mother well, Diane thinks Father crossed the line"

" TCH! HE'S WORSE THAN A DOG!" Diana said as Stephanie cut her short

" DIANA! DON'T EVER SAY THAT AGAIN!"

" Tch! why accept all this?! You could just walk away from it all and live your life the way you want to, if you are afraid you are leaving us behind we will be fine, we have been enduring all these for ten years doesn't make a difference how many more we endure"

" Hmn, sister is right, I also think mom should leave and start a new, don't look back, life is long and vast, we will be alright" Diane said as Stephanie froze dragging Diana's hand as she pulls her close hugging her, Diane stood awkwardly in the dark as she watched Stephanie show so much affection she had never given her.

Diane smiles in thought

*"Mom seems to like sister better, sister is wise and swift unlike me, she had never even said an I love you to me, is it because I am too weak and can't protect her like big sister can? Then I must grow up faster so I can protect them both."*

Diane said with a broken smile as tears clouded her eyes

Night fell as everyone went to sleep, Diana woke up tucking Diane then she lights up some incense sticks.

Breathing it in, Diane struggled to wake up by feel asleep deeper, Diana smile walking to her as she tucks her in gently

"Sister, we have grown up now, but mother still treats you indifferently because she is afraid you won't be able to bear the harsh world with your lovely and kind nature...." Diana said gently smoothing out the bed spread

".....what she doesn't know is, you are also smart and extra ordinary, you are the smarter twin yet you hide it from her behaving dumb and cute, do you really think I wouldn't know? All those years dad trained us since we were 5 and you already grabbed all his skills while I still struggled with my martial arts"-

-" We ran from China and stayed in the states because of the people who wanted us dead were increasing, yet you still endured and understood while I complained about your moving about, you calmly explained to me the situation and rebuilt our family together with mom and dad"

Diana said as tears flowed out of Diane's eyes but she couldn't move

" Now, it's falling apart again and it seems this time it's going to take longer than usual to build it back again, I know mom is going to attempt to escape tonight, and she would take me with her, but I don't feel rest assured leaving your here with dad, he is responsible but I'm afraid you can't take his training, what he wants from us requires being heartless and having a big kind heart is all you are about. So go, in my place and see the world, I would use the transformation skill we learnt from dad, we are two heroes in this world of evil and now one has to do her part and become the villain so the hero could have her moment, don't disappoint me" Diana said in tears as she casts a spell changing their hair and dress

*" There, this spell should last for a day, while mom flees, by the time she finds out dad and I would be long gone, live well ok? We will meet when two seasons collide"*

Diana lays on her bed putting out the incenses and light as she hid the incense pot under her bed

Minutes later Stephanie sneaked in as she injects anaesthetics into Diana, thinking it was Diane, then she proceeds to Diane who had slept off due to the effect of the incense, Stephanie turned to Diana again

" I'm sorry Diane but mother has to go, I can only afford to take care of one of you, anymore would be too much, I leave you behind because you are the weaker twin, you have nothing to offer me and you won't survive with Skyler either. You existence is a waste and I'm sorry I gave life to you." Stephanie said as tears fell out of Diane and Diana eyes at the same time

Stephanie ran out with Diane as she got into the car speeding off, she drove for hours as she managed to get far from the village, at night Stephanie had arrived at the city as she was tired of driving, she decided to take a short cut at a very high speed then a strong started and rain poured down to the earth. Due to the wind and darkness Stephanie's car collided with another sending both cars tumbling, people rushed to the scene as they pulled out Stephanie who was bleeding badly

"My child, my Diana is still in there, save her" Stephanie muttered weakly before fainting, the sun rose slowly

Stephanie opened her eyes again but drowsily as she saw 3 nurses wheeling her into the hospital on a stretcher into the operating room, she closed her eyes again.

Few weeks later Stephanie opened her eyes as she felt sore everywhere, the nurse walked in to examine her as usual the she found her awoke

"Madam you are finally awake! I'll go get the doctor"

" Wait did you say doctor?" Stephanie asked but the nurse had ran out. She looked around in confusion

A doctor walked in seconds later as she checked her drip

"Madam, do you feel sore?"

"Yeah, everywhere" Stephanie replied as the doctor nodded

"Hmn, the collision was really huge, if not for the protection I'm afraid you wouldn't even make it alive" The doctor said as Stephanie looked around

" Sorry where am I?"

"A hospital ma'am"

" Hospital? That doesn't sound right..."

" Calm down ma'am what is the last thing you remember?"

" Oh...I was driving but then it started raining heavily so I decided to take a short cut then suddenly it started raining heavily and the visuals were poor, the brakes failed and my child... wait my child, where is my child, a small girl of age 10? She has long black hair and...."

" Black?" The doctor asked as Stephanie nodded

" She was with me when the accident happened"

"Calm down ma'am, she would be alright hopefully"

" Will be? Hopefully? Where is she?"

" Uh.. ma'am.... "

" Talk to me!" Stephanie screamed as the doctor sighed

" What happened is your daughter's head was hit into the car glass badly during the collision, the position she was found in suggests she threw herself forward to protect you there fore taking 80 percent of the damage, shards of the glass is in her skull which may likely have gotten to her brain so we are operating on her right now, she will be fine....." The doctor said as Stephanie got agitated

" No my baby..."

"Also she seems to have a rare medical condition that has been triggered so we don't know if we can help her..."

Stephanie froze at the word medical condition as she slowly turned to the doctor

" What colour of hair does she have?"

"Silver ma'am" The doctor said as Stephanie's head rang and became dizzy and fainted.

"Ma'am!" The nurse called out as the doctor quickly tried to stabilize her condition, another nurse walked in as she whispered to the other nurse who nodded

"Doc the results are in, she is 4 months gone"

Another nurse ran in

" Doc, the other patients involver in the car crash are here it's the Princes and they are badly injured

"SHIT!" - The doctor cursed as he quickly brought out his phone

"Quick! Prepare for their surgery!"

"But doctor the girl and the lady...." A nurse said as the doctor turned to Stephanie

"We can only attend to one of them...attend to the lady" The doctor said as the nurse argued

"But the small girl is in a critical condition..."

"The lady is of priority, she had another life inside her besides you can tell from her look when she heard the girl has silver hair, she won't care"

"Hmn" The nurse nodded as they attended to Stephanie while the doctor went out to attend or the Princes.

POV: DIANE

And so I was deemed inferior once more, left unattended and badly wounded with mother's words playing in my head over and over, I guess this is all I will ever amount to her and to everyone, the air seems tight and the surroundings quiet as I clung unto the little life force I have left to hang in till help was in my reach, one thing is for sure, I will make it this time and I will see my sister again"

The doctors were done with the operation and from their expressions it went well. I'm next right? Or so I thought.

Turns out not only my family beared resentment towards me but the whole world.

I was forgotten for a week, any normal human would have died but then again, is any one in the Mafia world normal?

A guard patrolled the hospital at night as he found my room, seeing that I was in stand by and way due my operation he was alarmed looked for help

He saw a nurse who he explained the situation to, she confirmed the story and decided to confront the head doctor, threatening him.

The doctor finally decided to attend to me but was it worth it?

Few days later I woke up to a splitting headache as I didn't have the strength to lift a finger

"Easy there, how do you feel now?" A sweet gentle voice said to me as I located it's source, it was a woman probably in her 20's and judging by her dressing, must be a nurse.

"Who...who are you?"

"Shh, you underwent surgery days after the accident you shouldn't move or talk too much or the backlash of your pain would be unimaginable" She warned softly as I nodded

" I thought i would be abandoned here, I didn't know I still had a chance to survive, it must be all thanks to you, thank you ma'am" I bowed slightly

"Aiya, if it were another person I would do the same, don't move too much ok?" She said concerned about me

"Hmn, right! A lady must have been brought here, she is tall and fair looks like a fairy at first sight, how is she?"

"If it wouldn't be too much...can I ask you a question?"

"Ah? Ask away"

"If you find out the one you love the most and would risk anything for, betrays you in the blink of an eye when given the opportunity, would you still protect the person in time of dire need?"

" Yes" Diane replied immediately

" You...you didn't even think about what I said..." The nurse said in a state of shock

"You said the person I love the most which means I would be willing to protect the person no matter what, even if the person betrays me, I would live up to my part"

"So you would still stay with the person?" The nurse asked

" I said I would live up to my part not become a saint for him, at most I severe ties with him or her" Diane replied honestly as the nurse nodded in a daze whispering

" I see, you are not a stupid kid just a crazy one"

"Ah? Did you say something?"

"No!" The nurse said quickly as Diane smiled

"Actually...I know what you are implying but one's mother is still one's mother, I can't fail to protect her"

"So..you know uh?"

"She asked to be saved first didn't she?"

"I guess you really are crazy if you still insist on protecting her"

"Hmn, I guess I am"

The nurse clenched her first in anger as she bursted out

"DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW SHE WAS?! Even when the doctor explained your situation she didn't give a second thought about your life, If I hadn't discovered you, you might as well have been dead!"

"You saved my life, I owe you one for that, but my decision still remains the same, I would protect her" Diane smiled warmly at her

"Even if it means you die of an excruciatingly painful death?" The nurse said as Diane's smile froze

"What do you mean?"

"The doctors had another chance to save you, there were 4 experts on duty that day, they could have easily saved you, but there was another family involved in the accident. The car your mother crashed into wasn't just any car, it was the car of the most prestigious family in The States, the Lu family.

They seemed to be going on a trip and got caught up in the snow storm, when your mom crashed into them, Grandfather Lu, Mr Lu and Mrs Lu were badly injured, with the heirs so the Lu group, Lu si ming, and Lu si teng also known as Bobby and Jackie. They sustained minor injuries but his father didn't make it. And a certain report said that a little girl saved them, she dashed to the car and drew out little young master Lu, and everyone else"

"But couldn't save The master Lu himself, so useless" Diane muttered to herself

" Use....useless? Should you have moved after being hit so badly?! Who do you think you were?! Superman?"

" No, superman would have saved everyone"

" I see now, it's pointless talking sense into you"

" Anyways, leaving his grandfather to survive on a portable oxygen concentrator. They are the survivors of the Lu family now, when your mother heard of this she was frightened that her life would be in danger so she sold out your life willingly in exchange for hers, the chance of the operation being successful were 80 percent if 3 experts attended to them and you would have been saved but your mother wanted 100 percent at all cost so she told the doctors to go, and said you were unlucky by birth and that your life isn't long anyways you would dies sooner or later due to your condition"

The nurse turned to Diane who was frozen and looked broken

"Would you still insist on protecting her now?" The nurse asked as Diane smiled

"Yes"

" You..."

" How many years till I die of the excruciatingly painful death you spoke of earlier?"

" You this little brat! Don't you value your life at all?!" The nurse bursted out as Diane smiled

" Of course I do! Which is why I want to know how much time I have left so I can live out my days happily and cherish each moment"

"You're crazy, no doubt, the operation performed on you was successful but late so i would say at most....you won't live past 25"

" So 15 years uh? No bad" Diane said as the nurse groaned

" Why am I the one taking this seriously? I must have owed you my life in my past life"

" If so, you have repaid your debt and can live freely now, thank you Miss nurse" Diane bowed

" I feel like if I stay here any longer I would be needing a brain surgery." The nurse replied being frustrated

" One more thing, when my mo... When she wakes up, tell her I have lost all my memories and that the accident wiped out all my memories, Don't mention my injuries, I will take it from there"

" You want her to keep you under the pretext of a memory loss?"

" How about that? Aren't I smart?"

" Yeah, really smart, hey. You didn't hear it from me, but a certain someone said before he passed out, he heard a voice and saw a girl with silver hair, it seems that was all he could make out so be careful. " The nurse said

" Thanks" Diane smiled as the nurse rolled her eyes

" You're welcome" she said walking out.

Diane frowned in thought

*" Was that sarcasm? Shouldn't be, right?"*

*"At last I near the end of my life, but where is the my soulmate to comfort me? In the raging snow cold and helplessly I look at the starry star as they had never been so beautiful, wish I had another day to run into the moonless night with you"*

Diane said closing her eyes as hot tears flowed down her cheeks.

Few days later Stephanie and Diane got discharged.

Stephanie bought a mansion with her shares in Florida as they settled in she hired maids and servants to take care of the house.

Making new friends and connection Stephanie began a new rich happy life but told all her rich friends she was divorced, and that Diane was a maid she brought back from her village, an orphan. Under this pretence, Diane served Stephanie till a baby girl was born and named Destiny

She was cute and lovely with black hair and black pupils just like Diana and Stephanie showered her with love as she did with Diana.

Diane raised Destiny who slowly grew up to be a spoilt brat always blaming things on Diane and making life hell for her unknown to her and just for fun due to her naivety.

8 years passed in a flash and Diane finally turned 18 which meant Diane could attend College. She secretly gained admission into Yale's university on scholarship, one of the elite school in the world. And it was time for her to leave.

"DIANE!!!!!" Destiny shouted as she had began the day's trouble.

"Yes young mistress" Diane replied walking out of the kitchen drowsily, her lips chapped, her skin paler than a ghost and she looked sickly like she could drop dead at any moment.

Since Destiny was born i have been sleeping in the kitchen, not because there isn't enough room, but the madam ordered it herself. But it's nice since I get to share the leftovers with the maids in the house. They are very nice towards me....most of the times.

"Have you gotten my things ready? I am going to my friend's house to play today so you have to do all my assignments."

"Aren't assignments given so that you could correct your mistakes in class, young mistress, if you keep letting me do your assignments who would help you with your exams?" Diane asked as Destiny bursted out in tears making Diane sigh

" Of course...." Diane muttered as Stephanie ran out

"My baby, what's wrong? What happened?"

"Mom, I was being bullied by the maid again, I asked her for some help with my assignments and she said I was dumb and wont pass my exams, she even cursed that I won't make it to high school" Destiny cried as Stephanie turned to Diane with a frown, her eyes turned red from anger.

" ANYONE THERE?!" She called out as 2 hefty men ran in, they were dressed as guards

"Take this maid to the detaining room and beat her a hundred lashes nothing less, after that no food for a week! Let me see how she dares maltreat my daughter after that?!" Stephanie said as Diane gave a smirk as she soliloquies

*" It's the same punishment everyday, mom don't you find it boring?"*

The guards took Diane to the room as they whipped her. Diane didn't make a sound through the whipping as each lash tore through the old wounds, bleeding profusely.

After the punishment, Diane was thrown into a cold dark room without any ray of light, she bowed in thought

*"The darkness is treacherous to some and peace to others, they never ask what triggered you, they only know you did it"*

Night fell as everyone fell asleep, Diane sneaked into Stephanie's room as she watched her sleep peacefully

*" I didn't expect it to turn out this way, but if there was still a chance, no matter how little it was that we could still be mother and daughter in our next life, I would take it, farewell mother"* Diane bowed to the floor as she clad her hands as a form of great respect. Then sneaked out silently.

The next day Destiny called out for Diane as usual but no one answered frustrated she went to Stephanie to complain, as usual Stephanie ordered the guards to go drag her out and beat her up again

This time the maids intervened

"Please madam, have mercy, calm your anger" The maids bowed.

An old woman walked doubt as she was the head maid

"Madam, since the little young mistress was born, the child raised by me, succumbed to torture everyday by something so trivial, something both you and I know she isn't to be blamed for"

Stephanie turned to the head maid angrily

" You old hag, if you want to keep your job you better shut it now!"

" Madam, the maid is missing!" One of the guards ran in to report

" What?! Where did she run off to?!" Stephanie shouted in anger.

Earlier....

Diane snuck out of the mansion, she sprayed her hair black with an temporary hairspray to avoid suspicious also to make sure the young master of the Lu family never find her.

Diane made it to the gate then looked back feeling remorseful.

"So you still know to take one last glance? Turns out I didn't raise you in vain" An old voice said as Diane turned to the source

"Grandmother Yi" Diane said running into her embrace as she cried

"I'm sorry grandma I just can't take it anymore..."- Diane said as she looked up to her with tear filled eyes

-" I would die" Diane whispered as Grandma Yi smiled.

"Silly girl, I'm not here to stop you, do you think you can get into Yale's without some money?"- Grandma Yi asked bring out a black card

"How did you know I...."- Diane asked as she froze, Grandma Yi nodded

"You were the one who recommended me to Yale's?"

"Yes, using the Madam's name I got you a sit at Yale but the rest was up to your brains and you did not disappoint me"-

Diane's eye got teary as she was overwhelmed

"Grandma...."

-" Don't sweat it, There's a million dollars in it, knowing you ..it should last you a year make my efforts worth it and make me proud, live well ok?"

" Grandma Yi where did you..."

" The young mistress doesn't keep tab on how many credit cards she owns what difference would it make if one went missing?" Grandma Yi asked as Diane hugged her tightly

" Ok that's enough now, go, live well and never look back ok?"

" Hmn" Diane nodded as she ran far from the mansion.

"Keep going my Silly girl" Grandma Yi smiled

Diane ran far as a storm started then rain poured down heavily and thunder shook the sky like the heavens bursted out in anger.

*"Running through the woods with no food at all in the heavy rain seemed like a good idea when i was leaving... Why does it seem stupid now?"* Diane mumbled as her stomach grumbled loudly

*"And to be honest I don't feel that good too, all this moonlight is sapping my strength, why did sister do this to me?"* Diane whined with low spirit as she kept going.

She got to the train station finally as she wore her black hoodie to prevent people from being shocked or disgusted by her appearance. Walking straight to the train station, she meets an old man working his shift as a night guard

"Hello, can I get a night ticket?"

"Miss, the last train took off a while ago, we are closed. You won't get any train tonight, but you can stay here for the night and get on the early one tomorrow, if you are not in a hurry" The old man suggested as Diane stared at him in thought

*"Would he be so kind as to take in a complete stranger? Or is this one of his ruse to steal what ever it is he thinks I possess?"*

" Miss? If you are worried I would rob you then it's fine you can stay outside in little tent I built, that's completely fine too" The man replied as Diane froze the bowed a bit as a form of respect, walking towards the tent.

The rising sun woke Diane up as she quickly scurried away from the lights into a dark area. Few minutes later, people arrived and waited for the train which rolled in minutes after their arrival.

Diane came out of the tent with her ticket as she avoided contact with the crowd getting into the train with her wooden ticket. People stared at her weirdly as they expressed shock and fear, some even moved their children away from Diane, no one offering her a seat

The train's ticket collector went around pinching everyone ticket as they stared at Diane while handing in their tickets.

"Y...Yo.... Your ticket?" The ticket collector stammered in fear as Diane brought out her ticket handing it over, he quickly punched it in running off while the passengers whispered

"Do you see what I see?"

"Don't you know people like them? They are cursed, you shouldn't go close to them"

" This is what happens to evil people, their deeds catch up to them"

" Mommy what is that?" A little girl asked pointing at Diane as her mother carried her up immediately

"That is a monster, we don't talk to people like that, they have bad luck"

" Bad monster" The little girl said throwing a lollipop on Diane as the mother got scared walking away with the child.

Diane lowered her gaze

*" Don't blame them, people fear what they don't understand"*

The train arrived at as passengers alighted the train. Diane got a face mask after alighting the train as she took a cab to the university. The driver showed serious fear, so she put on shades too.

They arrived at a big building, Diane paid the cab taking her luggage, since her admission was on scholarship, a place was already prepared for her to stay, so she moved into the girl's dormitory.

Every girl stared at her as she wheeled in one old shabby box trying to locate her room. She stops in the room allocated to her online as she knocked on it. A lady with long blonde hair opened the door, she packed up her hair in two and had a blue headphone around her neck. She seemed to portray the character "Harley Quinn" from "The Joker" movie replicating the character.

" Uh... Hi, This is room 2010 right?" Diane asked

"Yeah?" She replied as Diane wheeled her luggage forward

"I believe I'm your new roommate" Diane said as the girl froze, then a creepy smile formed on her face as she squealed.

"You are the newbie? Oh! I have been expecting you, How was the trip? I hope you didn't get caught in the weather, I know it's crazy, Did you have troubles locating this place? You... "

She blabbed on until Diane interrupted

"Can I come in now?"

"Oh! Silly me! Sure, come in! Come in! " She replied as Diane wheeled in her box

Diane:

"Inside the room was a very huge spacious and furnished space with beds far in each sides of the room. I counted inwardly and there were a total of 4 bunk beds meaning there were 6 more people living in the room apart from Ms Blabber mouth here with me.

Tables were assigned to each side of the bed and bunk mates had their tables placed at the same row.

"You came from a far place right?" The strange girl asked as she seemed to be pouring me a glass of water

"You are..." I finally brought the introduction as it seemed she wouldn't do it any time today

"Oh right... My name is Harleen Quinn but you can call me Harley "

DIANE:

*" Somebody please tell me this is a prank?"*

Diane said in thought as it didn't seem to be one

"Cool" She replied as Harley smiled

"And yours?"

"Diane" Diane replied short and cold.

"Diane....." Harley asked

"Just Diane" Diane replied as Harley became silent. The brief silence made the air awkward, of course for Harley but Diane broke the awkwardness by arranging her clothes in the wardrobe designer at the side of the room

"Uhm... All your clothes are black uh?" Harley asked

" Yeah" Diane replied shortly again as she resumes arranging the last of her clothes

"Uh... I have something going on, so.... I'll see you later?"

" Sure" Diane replied as Harley walked out, when she seemed to be gone for real, Diane held her head and chest in pain as she slowly walked to the dark corner of the room and sat on the floor on leg folded the other stretched out.

"She sure talks a lot" Diane muttered with a smirk removing her glasses and mask as she bowed her head.

Few hours later someone opened the door of the room as it was dark and freezing, then the lights get turned on, 3 girls walked in

"What a day!" One of the girls said as she removed her glasses, the other two girls sighed as they threw their bags on the floor

"Hey where's Harley? She's supposed to make dinner, did she bail in us?" Astrid asked

 Astrid is a tall lady with long blonde hair wearing a big circle nerdy glasses, she packed up her hair to an old-fashioned ponytail with ribbon at the tip and wore a pink top inside a blue jumpsuit.

"Ask her sis" A sarcastic voice replied

 Sage, Astrid's elder sister, also a tall and pretty lady but with short black red dyed hair in an Ivy League haircut in a black baggy cargo pants and a big baggy black plain top.

"Good idea!" Astrid replied cheerfully making Sage groan out in thought

*"Tch… Can't you tell when someone is being sarcastic?!"*

" Don't look at me! I don't know anything, the crazy girl doesn't tell me anything" Vanna, Harley's sister replied immediately as Astrid sighed

"Hey isn't there supposed to be a new girl today?" Vanna asked as 3 more girls walked in

"Hi guys"

"Hey, Ruby you are back" Sage said as the remaining 2 girls folded their arms

"We came back too you know"

"Yeah, now I noticed" Sage said as Ruby laughed out shortly

"Ha! Good one"

"Thanks" Sage replied

"Tamar, Vanessa how was your day?" Astrid asked as they sighed

" That can't be good" Vanna said as Sage turned to Astrid

" You just had to ask"

"It went well" Tamar said as Sage paused

" Hmn, not bad" Sage replied with a smirk

" You can never change" Astrid scolded as Ruby changed clothes

"Hey, aren't we expecting a new rookie today?" Ruby asked

" Yeah, but I guess she isn't coming" Astrid replied as Vanna scoffed

" Tch, that's not surprising, I should have known this would happen sooner or later, the college would pick up a noble someday and toss it at us"

" More like noble brat" Tamar added as Sage frowned

" Don't worry we have Sage to help us, if she tries anything funny I'll have my sister take her out" Astrid said making a killing gesture

"All talk no walk" Tamar replied as Astrid scoffed putting an arm around Vanna

" Of course I can walk it right sis?"

"Sure you can" Vanna replied as Sage walked to her wardrobe silently

"I think you made her mad"- Vanna whispered as she walked towards Diane bed

-"Too bad, I spent almost all day cleaning up this.... Ahhh!!!" Vanna screamed out crawling away as she startling everyone except Sage and Ruby who turned to her

"Dude!" They scolded in unison

"Th...th...there is something there" Vanna muttered as Astrid turned to see a big object covered with a blanket

"Just a pile of clothes"

"Clothes do not have legs!" Vanna pointed out a revealed black boots as the girls went in guard against the mystery person.

"Could it be the Dutchman's ghost?" Vanna asked as they all turned to her

"Somehow I actually wish that clown was here" Sage muttered as Astrid sighed

Sage pulled the blanket as Diane's head was hung low with her newly black dyed hair was covering her face, her face came to view as she raised up her head, her eyelash were very dark contrasting her silver pupils, and she had dark circles due to lack of sleep

"Boo" Diane said as Astrid, Tamar and Vanessa screamed out in fear, Diane smirked at their reaction

"Wh...who are you?" Astrid asked in fear

"I'm the noble brat tossed at you earlier today" Diane replied as Vanna, Astrid, Tamar and Vanessa went silent before Diane's laughter broke the awkwardness

"I'm sorry to eaves drop on you but i was already in the room and too lazy to say hi."

" We are so sorry if we were rude earlier" Astrid said in fear as Diane's appearance seemed to be like a vengeful spirit coming to take revenge

"It's cool, I wouldn't like someone barging into my territory too, so I understand" Diane replied as she pulled up her hoodie standing up

"What's your name?" Sage asked as Diane turned to her with a smirk

"Diane"

"Diane..." Tamar repeated as they all nodded unconsciously to the sound

"It takes a train to get here which means the college is a bit far from here right?" Diane asked as the Sage nodded

" I see, you seem surprised about my arrival, didn't Harley tell you I was here?" Diane asked as Astrid growled

"I'm gonna kill that girl"

"For once sister, I'm proud of you" Sage replied as Diane soliloquies

*"They are a crazy bunch, who would have thought?*

"I'm back!!" Harley walked in

"Perfect timing" Ruby replied as Harley tried to run back out but is held by Tamar

"Why are you running?" She asked

"Whenever Ruby or Sage says perfect timing, something bad always follows, I admit my mistake"

"Fine, what was your mistake?" Astrid asked as Harley replied

" Whatever it may be as long as it isn't murder, I admit it"

" Then...theft?" Vanna asked

" What? no!"

" Kidnapping"

"No!"

"Burglary"

" Ok enough! I can't admit to all of that, just what exactly did I do wrong this time?" Harley asked as she walks past Diane

"Who are you?" She asked impulsively then froze as she slowly turned back to the girls

"Would you believe me if I said I didn't do this on purpose?" Harley asked as she gets hit by shoes from all angles

"I'm sorry if I intruded on your lives" Diane said chuckling

" No it's fine, it's this clown's fault" Sage replied as Diane nodded pushing back her hair, it appeared long and wavy also very soft and full but with no weight at all!

"So...the thing about the nobles...." Astrid stretched out

" What nobles?" Diane asked as Sage and Ruby said in thought

*"I like this one, approved"*

"Welcome to Queens hostel and welcome to Yale" Astrid and Harley said as Diane nodded

"Thanks"

"So you are not some rich kid here to make our lives miserable?" Vanna asked as Diane smirked

" Do I look like one?"

The girls nodded as Diane sighed

" I'm not, just a maid taken pity on by her master and sent her to study"

" That must be some great master" Sage said as Diane nodded in low spirit

"Yeah, she... is"

"Well, it's nice meeting a new face around" Astrid said with a smile as Diane sat on her bed

"Sure"

"I'm in psychology department " Harley said with a smile

*" Figures"* Diane said in thought

" Astrid is in Law while Sage's in Criminology with Ruby"

*" That explains a lot, I better watch out for those two"* Diane said in thought with a smirk acknowledging their programs

" Vanna and Vanessa are in Robotics"

"Cool" Diane said with a smile

" And... Tamar studies Computer Engineering"

" Nice" Diane replied as she lies on the bed with a sigh

"So..... What do you study?" Harley asked as the girls turned to Diane

" I'm in for a Dual degree program"

"That sounds promising" Astrid said as Diane stared at the ceiling

"You won't stop asking till I talk would you?"

" Nope!" Astrid and Harley replied

"EMBA and EENG 440" Diane replied as everyone froze

" You mean you got into Executive master of business administration and Cyber security fundamentals at once?!"

" Pretty much"

" Sorry to say, but I find it hard to believe" Astrid said as Harley nodded. Diane reached out for her phone clicking on the admission letter and passing it onto them

"Woah" Vanna said

"Unbelievable" Harley added

"Are you some kind of dark lord in secret?" Tamar joked as Diane's gaze in the ceiling got a little deeper and her muscles clenched in anxiety for a second before composing herself

Sage caught the swift action as she smirked

"I think you have been indulging in too many fantasies" Harley said as Astrid scoffed

" You're the one to talk"

"Okay, that one was on me" Harley said as Astrid rolled her eyes

" Okay let's get ready for tomorrow" Sage said as everyone groaned in reply except Diane who just stared at the ceiling

"Anyways, it's nice to have a new roomie" Astrid said

" Thanks" Diane replied as they all went to do their beds. Sage climbed up Diane's bed making her smirk as she closed her eyes reminiscing on all that had happened since she came in.
