In dark alley~
"P-p-Plea-please... s-spare.... me..." A man in his 40's begging for his life, clutching the other man's leg, his eyes pleading for mercy, his voice is barely above a whisper. His chest heaved with labored breaths, each one shallower than the last.
"You have to think before you act." the man in his 20's said, his eyes narrowing as he gripped the hammer tightly in his hand.
"I-I'm... s-sor...ry, for... w-what-t I have d-done. Pl-please... save me."
Suddenly, there's a call.
"Hey. Seung-Ha. Boss wants to talk to you." A man came forward and gave the mobile to Seung-Ha, who is catching the hammer in his hand. Seung-Ha's eyes narrowed slightly as he took the phone, his fingers wrapping around it with a quiet intensity.
"Yes, Mr. Kim." Seung-Ha replied, his voice even.
'What happened? Is he still alive?' Mr. Kim asked for confirmation.
"I think, he's taking his last breaths." Seung-Ha said, his eyes fixed on the man lying on the ground. He nudged the person's side with his shoe, checking for any signs of life.
'Hm... Leave him there, and come back. I want to discuss something with you.'
"Ok. I'll be there soon. But, what about him. Shall I kill him completely."
'Let him die slowly. He should feel every ounce of pain, regretting every moment he wasted. He should think to himself that, why didn't we kill him earlier?'
"Understood. I'm on my way." Cut's the call.
"Mr. Kim said to leave you like this... in this alley," Seung-Ha spat, his eyes blazing with contempt. He grasped the man's hair brutally, yanking his head back. The man's scream echoed through the alley, a haunting cry of agony.
"You know what? I'm not Mr. Kim." Seung-Ha sneered, his eyes glinting with sadistic pleasure. With swift, ruthless movements, he hit the man's hands and knees with his hammer, the crunch of breaking bones echoing through the alley. Blood oozed from the man's shattered limbs, his screams growing louder, more anguished. Later, Seung-Ha's authoritative voice commanded attention.
"You're all dismissed. Return to your homes; your duties are fulfilled." The assembled individuals bowed deeply, their movements synchronized in a display of respect, acknowledging Seung-Ha's dominance.
Seung-Ha strode back to his car, his expression unyielding. He slid into the driver's seat, started the engine, and sped away from the alley. His destination was clear. Mr. Kim's opulent mansion.
In Mr. Kim's Mansion~
Seung-Ha strode into Mr. Kim's grand mansion, his presence commanding attention. As he walked, the other members bowed respectfully, acknowledging his authority. He halted briefly, inquiring about Mr. Kim's whereabouts to one of the members. Receiving the answer, Seung-Ha proceeded directly to Mr. Kim's personal cabin. He pushed open the door and stepped inside, his eyes locking onto Mr. Kim, who sat serenely behind his desk.

"You wanted to discuss something with me," Seung-Ha said, his tone neutral.
"Tomorrow's plans are all set," Mr. Kim replied, his eyes narrowing slightly. "But I've received intel that some unwanted visitors are snooping around our territory. Take care of them."
"Will do." Seung-Ha said, his expression unchanging.
"Also, I've learned that Hyun-Sik has been selling information to another group. The buyer's identity is still unknown, but be cautious."
Mr. Kim's expression turned grave, his jaw clenched in concern.
"I'm certain he shared the information with the Baekho group." Seung-Ha said, his voice firm.
"Whatever the situation, handle it." Mr. Kim ordered, his tone commanding.
"Yes, Mr. Kim." Seung-Ha replied, his expression resolute, acknowledging the task.
Seung-Ha turned to leave, but Mr. Kim's unexpected request stopped him. "Why don't you give me a hug?"
Seung-Ha's eyes widened in surprise. "Aish... Appa, I'm not a baby."
Mr. Kim's expression turned stern. "Shut up and give me a hug. Come on. Quick."
Seung-Ha's face softened into a smile as he walked over to Mr. Kim and wrapped his arms around him.
"Be careful, okay?" Mr. Kim whispered.
Seung-Ha pulled back\, his expression confident.***"Eh... I'll be alright."***
Mr. Kim nodded. "Okay, go."
Seung-Ha broke the hug and left immediately, leaving Mr. Kim to his thoughts.
The Next day~
(Seung-Ha's bedroom)
Seung-Ha woke up to the gentle morning light streaming through his window. He reached for the remote control and turned on the TV in his bedroom, the screen flickering to life as he settled back into his pillows. Seung-Ha flipped through the channels, landing on the news station. The breaking news headline caught his attention. "Hyun-Sik Found Dead in Gruesome Murder." The anchor's voice was somber as he delivered the details.
"Reports indicate that Hyun-Sik was brutally killed by an unknown assailant using a blunt object. The police are currently investigating the scene and reviewing security footage to identify the perpetrator."
Seung-Ha's expression remained neutral as he watched the news report, his eyes fixed on the screen. He got up from bed and went to take shower.
At Police Station~
The Chief of Police walked in, busy allocating tasks to his team. He entered his office accompanied by Park Min-Hwan, the Deputy Chief of Police.
"What's the lead on the Hyun-Sik case?" the Chief of Police asked, his tone firm.
"At present, nothing, sir," Park Min-Hwan replied. "We don't have any concrete evidence to pursue."
(Park Min-Hwan)

**(Police Officer)(Very determined to catch the smugglers)(tried many time but failed)(want to take revenge for his father\, who died while catching the smugglers) **
The Chief's expression turned stern. "Nothing? Why don't we have any leads?"
Park Min-Hwan hesitated before responding, "It appears the perpetrators were highly organized and preplanned the murder. They erased all potential evidence, and even altered the crime scene to avoid leaving fingerprints or DNA traces."
The Chief's face darkened, his frustration palpable.
"This is unacceptable! We can't let them get away with this. I want you to assemble a team and re-examine every inch of the crime scene. Find something, anything, that can lead us to the perpetrators."
"Yes, sir. Right away. But, sir, I have to warn you, the perpetrators seem to be highly skilled and well-connected. It won't be an easy task."
"I don't care about easy or hard. I care about justice. And I want it done yesterday. Now, get to work!"
"Wait, what about the ships? Did you find any lead?" Chief asked.
The Chief's expression remained stern. "No, sir."
"Ok, go," the Chief said, dismissing him.
Min-Hwan bowed slightly and turned to leave, muttering to himself, "Sorry, sir. I shouldn't reveal it until I confirm who the mole is, the one passing information to the smugglers."
Min-Hwan's eyes narrowed as he focused on the documents in front of him. He couldn't shake off the feeling that there was a mole within their organization, feeding information to the smugglers. Just as he was about to make a note, his phone buzzed. He hesitated for a moment before answering.
"Deputy Chief Park," he said, his voice firm.
"Min-Hwan, we've received a tip about a suspicious shipment coming in tonight," the voice on the other end said.
Min-Hwan's grip on the phone tightened. "What's the location?"
"The docks. Warehouse 3."
Min-Hwan's eyes locked onto the clock on the wall. "I'll be there."
"The docks. Warehouse 3."
Min-Hwan's eyes locked onto the clock on the wall. "I'll be there."
He hung up the phone and stood up, his mind racing with possibilities. Was this the break they needed to catch the smugglers? As he walked out of his office, he couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being watched. Without another thought, he ran towards his car and sped away.
He glanced in the rearview mirror and noticed a car following him. His heart racing, he tried to make a distraction by changing his route. Finally, he succeeded in losing the tail.
Min-Hwan arrived at the location, his senses on high alert. But as he stepped out of the car, he realized that it was empty.
(Ignore people)
Min-Hwan stepped inside the dimly lit warehouse, his eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of his colleague. But he was nowhere to be found.
Min-Hwan tried to call his colleague, his voice was loud and urgent.
"Officer Jaehwan!" There was only silence.
Min-Hwan felt a shiver run down his spine. Something didn't feel right. He tried calling again, his heart pounding in his chest.
"Officer Ja-Hwan, I'm here," Min-Hwan called out, his voice echoing off the walls. "Please respond. Where are you?" There was only silence.
Suddenly, the warehouse doors slammed shut, plunging Min-Hwan into darkness. He froze, his heart racing with anticipation. And then, he heard the sound of As the footsteps drew closer, a figure emerged from the darkness. footsteps, echoing through the hallway...
Min-Hwan's eyes widened as he recognized his colleague, Officer Jaehwan.
"You're one of them, right?" Min-Hwan growled, his hand instinctively reaching for his gun.
"Don't try officer Min-Hwan. Let us talk for sometime."
"What do you want to talk?"
"I want to talk about your loyalty, Officer Min-Hwan," Jaehwan said, his voice dripping with malice. "You're quite the dedicated public servant, but I think you can be persuaded to see things our way."
"My loyalty isn't for sale," Min-Hwan spat, his eyes flashing with anger. "And neither is my integrity."
Jaehwan smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "We'll see about that," he said, with a fierce cry, Jaehwan launched himself at Min-Hwan. The two men clashed in a flurry of punches and kicks.
**fight scene**
Min-Hwan dodged Jaehwan's initial kick, using the momentum to fuel his own counterattack – a swift combination of punches that sent Jaehwan stumbling back.
Jaehwan retaliated with a series of rapid-fire jabs, but Min-Hwan sidestepped each blow, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. When Jaehwan left himself open, Min-Hwan seized the opportunity, landing a devastating kick that sent Jaehwan crashing to the ground.
As Jaehwan struggled to get back to his feet, Min-Hwan unleashed a flurry of precise, calculated punches that left Jaehwan reeling. Finally, with a perfectly executed roundhouse kick, Min-Hwan sent Jaehwan crashing to the floor, unconscious.
Min-Hwan stood over Jaehwan's prone form, his chest heaving with exertion. He swiftly pulled out his handcuffs and secured Jaehwan's wrists.
As he dragged Jaehwan towards his car, Min-Hwan's eyes scanned the surrounding area, wary of potential witnesses or accomplices.
Just as he reached the car, a single gunshot echoed through the night air. Min-Hwan spun around, but it was too late. Jaehwan's lifeless body slumped to the ground, a bullet wound in his forehead.
Min-Hwan's eyes scanned the rooftops and alleyways, searching for the shooter. But there was no sign of the killer. The only clue was the faint echo of footsteps, fading into the distance.
Min-Hwan felt like he'd been punched in the gut. His main witness, Jaehwan, was dead, and with him, the entire case against the smugglers seemed to have unraveled. Min-Hwan's mind reeled with a mix of emotions - anger, frustration, and a deep sense of loss. He felt like he was drowning in a sea of despair, unable to catch his breath.
As he stood there, trying to process his emotions, Min-Hwan knew he had to act fast. He pulled out his phone and dialed the department's emergency number.
Within minutes, the sound of sirens filled the air, and a team of police officers arrived at the scene. Min-Hwan's heart sank as he realized he was now the prime suspect.
The officers took Min-Hwan into custody, handcuffing him and reading him his rights. Min-Hwan didn't resist, knowing he had to cooperate if he wanted to clear his name.
At the police station, Chief Inspector Kim interrogated Min-Hwan, his expression stern and unyielding.
"So, Officer Min-Hwan," Chief Kim began, "tell me what happened tonight."
Min-Hwan took a deep breath and began to recount the events of the evening, his voice calm and steady. He told them about Jaehwan's phone call, the meeting at the warehouse, and the ambush.
As Min-Hwan spoke, a team of officers worked in the background, conducting a thorough background check, tracing his recent phone calls, and analyzing his location data.
The results were conclusive: Min-Hwan's alibi checked out, and there was no evidence linking him to the crime.
Chief Kim's expression softened, and he nodded at Min-Hwan. "You're free to go, Officer. We apologize for the misunderstanding, you can continue from here."
Min-Hwan stood up, rubbing his wrists where the handcuffs had been. He knew he still had a long way to go to bring the smugglers to justice, but for now, he was just grateful to have his freedom back.
Min-Hwan dove back into work, determined to crack the case. He started by analyzing the witness's call log details. As he scrolled through the numbers, he noticed something peculiar - each number was different, with no repeats.
"This is getting weirder by the minute," Min-Hwan muttered to himself.
He called in a team of officers to help him trace the locations of each number. The task was tedious, but Min-Hwan was convinced it would lead to a breakthrough.
As the night wore on, the office grew quiet, except for the occasional rustle of papers or murmur of conversation. Min-Hwan's eyes began to feel gritty from staring at screens and paperwork.
Just as he was about to call it a night, his phone rang, shrill in the silence. Min-Hwan's heart skipped a beat as he glanced at the screen - unknown number.
"Deputy Chief Park," Min-Hwan said, his tone firm.
A low, husky chuckle echoed through the line. "You're quite the determined one, aren't you, Deputy Chief? I must say, I'm impressed."
Min-Hwan's grip on the phone tightened. "Who is this?"
The caller's voice dropped to a sultry whisper. "Someone who's been watching you, Min-Hwan. You're very...persistent. And handsome, might I add."
Min-Hwan's frustration grew, but he tried to keep his cool. "What do you want?"
The caller's tone turned mocking, with a hint of flirtation. "Oh, I just wanted to admire your...tenacity. But don't get too comfortable, Deputy Chief. You're playing with fire, and I'm not sure you can handle the heat."
Min-Hwan's anger boiled over. "Who are you? What do you want?"
The caller's laughter sent a shiver down Min-Hwan's spine. "All in good time, Deputy Chief. For now, just remember...I'm watching you."
The line went dead, leaving Min-Hwan seething with anger and frustration.
Meanwhile, Seung-Ha smiled to himself as he ended the call. Seung-Ha took out a cigarette and lit it up, the flame casting a brief, golden glow on his face. He took a long, slow drag, exhaling a stream of smoke into the air.
"Min-Hwan, you're so predictable," he said, his voice low and menacing. "And soon, you'll be mine."
"Min-Hwan, you're so predictable," Seung-Ha said, his voice low and menacing. "And soon, you'll be mine."
Seung-Ha placed his phone aside, a sly smile still plastered on his face. He took another drag of his cigarette, savoring the moment.
Just then, one of his men approached him, a hint of urgency in his voice. "Seung-Ha, sir. Mr. Kim is calling for you."
Seung-Ha's expression turned serious, and he nodded curtly. He took one last drag of his cigarette before stubbing it out on the ground. He walked over to the nearby table, where his phone lay. He picked it up, his eyes narrowing as he answered the call.
"Seung-Ha, we're about to make a major delivery to the 'Viper Syndicate', an American mafia group. They're notorious for their ruthlessness, so we need to be careful." Mr. Kim's voice turned serious, his tone dripping with caution.
Seung-Ha's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with the implications. "The Viper Syndicate? I've heard of them. They're not to be underestimated with."
Mr. Kim's voice was firm. "Exactly. Which is why we need to ensure the delivery goes smoothly. The ship with the load is scheduled to depart the day after tomorrow. I want you to oversee the operation personally."
Seung-Ha nodded, his grip on the phone tightening. "Consider it done, Mr. Kim. I'll make sure everything goes according to plan."
Mr. Kim's voice turned cold, his words laced with warning."See that it does, Seung-Ha. The Viper Syndicate is not a group to be underestimated. If anything goes wrong, we'll all be answering to them."
Seung-Ha's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with anticipation. "Don't worry, Mr. Kim. I'll take care of everything."
"And. Seung-Ha, I hear you've been playing games with that officer." Mr. Kim continued.
Seung-Ha's eyes gleamed with amusement. "Just a little cat-and-mouse game, Mr. Kim. Nothing to worry about."
There was a pause on the other end of the line before Mr. Kim spoke again. "I want you to be careful, Seung-Ha. That officer is not someone to be underestimated. He even got your attention. He's getting close to us."
Seung-Ha's smile grew wider. "Don't worry, sir. I have everything under control."
"Ok. Play as you wish. But, it should not be a problem to us. Did you get it?" Mr. Kim said with a slight hint of warning.
"Understood, Mr. Kim." Then cut's the call.
Seung-Ha turned to the other members present, his voice firm and commanding. "I'm going to check on the ship and the goods. Once I'm satisfied, I'll head back to my house."
He glanced around the room, his eyes meeting those of his men. "You're all dismissed. Go back to your homes and get some rest. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow."
The men nodded, quickly scattering as they headed out into the night. Seung-Ha watched them go, his expression unreadable. He turned and walked back to his car, the sound of the engine roaring to life as he started it. He pulled out of the parking lot, the wheels of his car screeching as he sped off into the night.
Seung-Ha's destination was the dock where the ship was moored. He arrived a short while later, the sound of the sea gulls filling the air as he stepped out of his car. He walked up the gangway, his eyes scanning the ship as he made his way to the cargo hold. He checked the goods, his expression satisfied as he verified that everything was in order.
With his inspection complete, Seung-Ha headed back to his car. He drove back to his house, the silence of the night broken only by the sound of his car's engine. As he pulled into his driveway, Seung-Ha couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. He glanced around, but there was nothing out of the ordinary.
Shrugging off the feeling, Seung-Ha stepped out of his car and headed into his house, the door closing behind him with a soft click.
other side~
Min-Hwan's frustration simmered as he tried to track Caller's location. But every attempt was met with a roadblock - a sophisticated security system protected Caller's tracker. Undeterred, Min-Hwan focused all his energy on breaking down the tracker's defenses. His fingers flew across the keyboard, his eyes scanning lines of code as he worked to outsmart the security system.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Min-Hwan succeeded in breaching the tracker's defenses. A surge of adrenaline coursed through his veins as he accessed Caller's location. The tracker revealed Caller's current location - the dock, where he was likely checking on his goods. Min-Hwan's eyes narrowed as he watched Seung-Ha's location change, indicating he was now heading back to his house.
Min-Hwan's mind whirled with possibilities. He stopped the tracking, knowing he had to be careful not to alert Caller. With newfound determination, Min-Hwan set out to investigate the locations Seung-Ha had visited. He started with the dock, looking for any clues that might lead him to the smugglers.
As he arrived at the dock, Min-Hwan's eyes scanned the area, taking in every detail. He spotted a few suspicious-looking characters lurking in the shadows and made a mental note to question them later. Min-Hwan's search for evidence led him to a small, rundown warehouse on the outskirts of the dock. He cautiously approached the entrance, his hand resting on his gun.
With a deep breath, Min-Hwan pushed open the door and stepped inside, his eyes adjusting to the dim light. The air was thick with the smell of saltwater and decay. Min-Hwan's gaze swept the room, his heart racing with anticipation.
Min-Hwan's eyes widened as he took in the shocking sight before him. Inside the warehouse, he found a collection of exotic animals, each one more breathtaking than the last.
t
A black panther paced in its enclosure, its eyes gleaming in the dim light. Nearby, a wild rhino stood calmly, its massive body a testament to its incredible strength. Min-Hwan also spotted other species, including rare birds and reptiles.
But what caught his attention was the detailed documentation attached to each enclosure. The papers listed the owner's name, delivery dates, and other pertinent information. Min-Hwan's mind reeled as he realized the enormity of the smuggling operation. He had stumbled upon something much bigger than he had initially thought.
Suddenly, Min-Hwan felt a chill run down his spine. He didn't dare take a step forward, fearing he might alert someone to his presence. In a swift moment, Min-Hwan turned around and made a hasty retreat from the warehouse. He sprinted back to his car, his heart pounding in his chest.
Once inside, he locked the doors and started the engine. As he drove away from the warehouse, Min-Hwan couldn't shake off the feeling that he had just narrowly escaped danger.
He drove back to his place, his mind racing with thoughts of the smuggling operation and the exotic animals he had seen. Min-Hwan knew he had to report his findings to his team, but for now, he just wanted to get back to the safety of his home.
