Gruesome barks waged in the dense forest as the fireflies began lighting up below the canopies. Sid searched down his pocket to retrieve his dagger and held it firmly in his hand while hiding behind a pine tree with His eyes sharp ahead waiting.
'Sid?'Jackie hissed.
She sat just beside him with a bullet wound on her leg.
'We have to get going!'He hissed. We have to get out of here and get help!'
Trying to help her stand on her feet,She lightly groaned as she added weight on her wound, leaning on his side.
'Come on!You can do it.'He added.
They moved on to beat time under the darkening blue, with pounding hearts held firmly in their hands. The escape plan just worked out fine for Sid and one task ahead of him just slew his chances to get out of this witty Nightmare.
In a short while, the sky rumbled as drops of rain splashed heavily on their faces.
'Come on Jackie!Come on!'He Said with frights in his voices. The ground just become marshy to move, trying with much effort to get to a safe place,Home.
As they move, she coiled as the pain effortlessly waged across her body, with flawless intervention letting out a painful groan.
'Its okay.'He said panting her back slightly.'You can do it.' He added encouragely.
The rains has been pounding hard but the impact was less severe. However, the streams burst flooding the area entirely. Sid tried to move swift but the cold just made her sister numb from continuing. Her Eyes almost glassy from the rain drops, shivering profusely with her teeth chartering.
Sid stopped to check her wound. He tore his sleeve and covered it to stop it from oozing and looked around and gladly, by luck spotted an old bun. He carried her and quickly rushed to safety as the Thunder rumbled again and this time sounded overly unpleased upon his luck. Nature sometimes can be cruel, judging harsly without a care. The wind slightly blew as the pines and Mahoganys sway gracefully on the impact.
They enter the bun and he sets Jackie on a torn rug on the floorboard and again checked her wound.
'We need to get this bullet out before it gets dark, can you bare it?'He asked as his damped hair streamed over his face. He stood and looked around, searching and pacing while Jackie laid there watching and still shivering from the rain.
'Sssssssssssssss.....Sid.' She sounded incoherent pointing at a lamp ahead of her and unluckily,She's not even able to grab the slightest sense of his attention at all.The rains clattering on the rusty iron roof just made it even hard for her to be heard. Sid roughly searched through, knocking pitch forks and mechanic tools down.
As the com-motional soundscapes filled the bun, with a strange fowl smell almost becoming noticeable,The bun suddenly moved and In just a tiny blink, he quickly jumped to see Jackie. He held her hand trying to awake her. Shaking her. He felt her cheeks with the back of his hand and they were cold as Ice.He called out to her and finally leaned down to listen to her heartbeat.
'No!'He hissed. He leaned again to make sure maybe, just maybe it skipped and soon he realised. He got stuck there on her ******, emotionless with his eyes wide open and tears rolled down from his eyes With a seris of No's and why's in his mind. Moments of him and her waged and recurred like a rewinded playbook, over and over.
For a moment, he forced himself he was in a spare of illusions or lucid dreaming. If only he wished he could switch events with just a single snap, everything would've end way back.
He damped his face on her blouse and sodded and With a sudden creak, the bun loudly went down to pieces as the ground below began opening up its away down and of course,it was too heavy for it to bare.He had to move fast as the ground lost its patience to hold up the bun and possibly take his sister with him and maybe give her a nice send off. He carried Jackie and tried to reach for the door but a tree branch from ouside swang blocking the exit almost impaling him. At the moment,A box hidden down the shelf opens its cover throwing stuffed small animals and broken femurs over.
As the bun now shrunk going down and the stench revolting entirely,Sid tried to break through the wooden walls with the bones to make a glorious escape, groaning from the cuts due to the tight grip on the fermur following oozes from the his blisters. He sensed death in his conscious but his will to live slightly overpowering the latter.
The rains poured in the dark, sending flashes of raging lightening accompanied by a powerful amplified growl and soon, the old creaky bun swirled into pieces into the pit, effortlessly.
The lights flickered as Pete lite up his lamp and signed in disappointment. He threw his books on his bed and reached for his phone to call His landlord only to find him on voicemail.
'Damn it!'He said Distortedly. He quickly took his wallet which he forgot about it in the morning while heading for his classes and claimed his cash and quickly dashed out.
It was almost eleven, an hour to midnight and most people began rushing to beat time as the folktales around messed up their heads. With Sudden events and tragedies, stories of unknown serial killers taking lives without a care,Witches and Necromancy, skimmed across their minds.
'You got to hurry lad,or else you'll end up losing an arm or a leg!'Wizzled an Old passerby.
His voice just sounded concerned but at the same time sarcastic at some point.Pete picked up his pace as the residence around somewhat made him nervous with their swift movements. He dug into his pocket to get his phone and effortlessly,His money too came out right clean and plunched onto the damp waterway on the street, floating away. Most of the shops were closed and the only one on service was up ahead.
Soon,He arrived and the owner peeped from above his glasses.
'What brings you here at this time!' Asked the shop owner.
'Umm, I need a box of neon bulbs,White with Ten watts of power.'Pete Enquired. He searched his pocket to get his cash and voilà!his heart stopped abit, and a warm rush conquered his body. He bit his lip and lifted his head facing the keeper who had an awful grimace on his face.
'No money,No bulbs Young Man!' He blustered. He took the box and carefully put it back to the counter.
Pete looked in disappointment and noticeably peeped at the clock that ticked behind the keeper on the wall and it was ten minutes to midnight. His eyes widened and quickly dashed out and made a run. His house was almost a Twenty Minutes run but surprisingly wondered how fast the time ticked. He could feel his silhouette agonising as the time countinued to elapse. Soon,He arrived but tensely the gate was locked! He got even tired! He banged to be let through but no one came to his aid.At that time,The air was timid and Pete could hear a chant which sang them to sleep.Of course Nobody could hear him what so ever.It sounded more like a choir, with a voice of a chorus girl accompanying the latter. Their voices reverberated in his head and each and every passing moment it went louder and louder. The moonlight glared upon his face and this time he saw death in his own eyes. He had to make an effort to fight for his life.
He climbed one by one up the gate and threw himself to the other side and rushed and banged his door flying into his room. He quickly closed his it and pushed a carbinate baracading it for safety.
'All clear.'He uttered as his breath came in short gasps. He walked backwards and unluckily tappled on an old can that laid losely on the floor.
His balance now altered, he hits his head on the table's edge landing on the carpeted floor with a dull thud.
'....Some one hold be me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory
Far away,Long ago......'
(Anastasia)
The little angles sang flawless as the Sounds reverbed crisply creating a sweet athmosphere across the auditorium.
As the piece came to an end, Carol and Sam rushed to meet Suzy, Sam's Youngest Sister and Carol's daughter at the back stage.
'Oh Darling,'Carol says as she hugged and kissed her. 'You did great!'She added. Suzy Smiled and Sam patted her shoulder lightly and knelt.
'Yes Sweetie and you know what,I got something for you!'She said Enthusiastically. She got to her bag and from inside, she retrieved a barbie doll and just then Her sister exclaimed in excitement! It's what she dreamt for entirely.
'Thank you so much!'She expressed happily with her incomplete dental formula showing. Carol Pinched her cheek lightly and hugged her again as Sam joined straightening fair blonde hair.
Soon, they left for the mall and Suzy's smile could not erase from her face. She sang silently swinging her hands awaiting for that glorious moment to come.
The mall was just a few minutes from the hall, as she watched people rushing and doing their part to make ends meet.
'Sam,Sam, can I have a balloon? Please.' She asked.
'Alright.'She smiled. 'Mom, we'll go buy balloons down the hallway, we'll be back in a few.'She added.
She quickly held Suzy's hand and rushed, gracefully counting her steps dreaming and hoping about her own life.
She gets her phone from her bag and calls her one love of whom sadly didn't attend her sister's Performance or not even picking her calls. He left from town to his father's cottage a few days ago and since then, he's been on blind spot and not in the air ways. She felt angered at some point and fumed but at the same time, broken and not merry. She briefly checked his insta, stalking over his updates but nothing new came up.
'I'll write him a text one last time and the next time I do, enchant me.' She whispered. She quickly tapped on her screen almost wanting to break the glass and pressed send. She put her cell back in her purse and suddenly heard an eerie whisper creeping softly in her ears only to realise her sister is missing. Her face almost went red, with a warm rush streaming fast as she felt the adrenaline cursing through her veins.
'Suzy!' She called. 'Suzy!Oh My God!' She Exclaimed.
Confused, she gets her phone to call her mother but fumbles allowing her sleek cell dance in her hands and soon having a painful landing and supposedly smashed into pieces under the crowd. She felt ever bit of its pain but didn't bother getting it back. She had to find Suzy no matter the cost, pacing her way through the busy crowd asking and calling out to her name.
