Bound by Fate
Episode 1: The Contract
[A dimly lit living room]
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
*Sits silently on the couch, holding the contract*
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
*Looks at the flickering candlelight*
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
"Marry me, and your family’s debt will disappear," he said.
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
*Whispers to herself*
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
But at what cost? Why does Damon Cross need me of all people?
(Camera pans to the contract on the table with bold letters: MARRIAGE AGREEMENT)
-Flashback to earlier that day-
-Rain softly tapping on the café window-
DAMON CROSS (ML)
*Leaning back in his chair, a dangerous smirk on his face*
DAMON CROSS (ML)
The arrangement is simple, Amara. I need a wife. You need salvation. It’s just business.
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
*Bites her lip, clutching her coffee cup*
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
I’m not a pawn in your game, Damon.
DAMON CROSS (ML)
No, you’re the queen I need on my chessboard.
[Scene shifts back to the living room]
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
*Picks up the contract, her hand trembling*
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
I never imagined my life would come to this…
-Door creaks open softly-
DAMON CROSS (ML)
*Steps into the room, his silhouette dark against the hallway light*
DAMON CROSS (ML)
Still thinking it over? You’re running out of time, Amara.
(Thunder crashes louder as Amara looks up at him with a mix of fear and determination.)

Episode 2: The Terms of Fate
[The same dimly lit living room, Amara and Damon face each other.]
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
*Glares at Damon, her voice shaking.*
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
Why me, Damon? Why force me into this?
DAMON CROSS (ML)
*Steps closer, his voice calm but laced with authority.*
DAMON CROSS (ML)
Because, Amara, I need someone who won’t get in my way. Someone who can keep up appearances, nothing more.
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
You make it sound like I have no choice.
DAMON CROSS (ML)
You don’t. Sign it, or your family loses everything.
(Thunder crashes in the background as Amara looks at the contract in her hand.)
[Flashback: A younger Amara at a small flower shop with her father]
-The sound of laughter fills the shop as Amara carefully arranges a bouquet.-
AMARA’S FATHER
One day, you’ll find happiness, Amara. Even in the storm, flowers bloom.
(The flashback fades as Amara returns to reality.)
[Scene shifts back to the living room]
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
*Whispers to herself as she picks up a pen.*
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
This is for them… for my family.
DAMON CROSS (ML)
*Smirks as she signs.*
DAMON CROSS (ML)
Smart choice. We’ll make the announcement tomorrow.
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
This isn’t a marriage, Damon. It’s a deal. Nothing more.
DAMON CROSS (ML)
We’ll see about that, Mrs. Cross.
(He turns and walks out, leaving Amara alone in the room as the rain pours harder outside.)
Episode 3: A New Beginning
[A lavish mansion, sunlight streams through the windows of a grand dining room.]
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
*Walks into the room hesitantly, glancing at the extravagant surroundings.*
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
This feels like a cage… even if it’s made of gold.
DAMON CROSS (ML)
*Sitting at the head of the table, reading a newspaper, without looking up.*
DAMON CROSS (ML)
Get used to it. This is your home now.
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
Home? This isn’t a home. It’s your kingdom, and I’m just a piece in your game.
DAMON CROSS (ML)
*Smirks, folding the newspaper. 😏*
DAMON CROSS (ML)
Call it what you want, but don’t forget—this is your choice.
(Amara glares at him, but her gaze falters as she remembers the contract.)
[Flashback: Amara's small apartment]
-Her family sits together, looking worried.-
AMARA'S MOTHER
Are you sure about this, Amara? This isn’t the life you deserve.
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
I’ll do whatever it takes to protect you. It doesn’t matter what I deserve.
(The flashback fades as Amara clenches her fists in the present.)
[Scene shifts back to the dining room]
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
*Softly but firmly.*
AMARA LYNNE (FL)
I’ll play your game, Damon. But don’t expect me to lose myself in it.
DAMON CROSS (ML)
*Leans back in his chair, his dark eyes glinting with amusement.*
DAMON CROSS (ML)
We’ll see, Mrs. Cross. We’ll see.
(Amara turns to leave, her head held high, while Damon watches her with a look of intrigue.)
