Tides of Trust: Shadows of the Heart
Introduction
Shizuka – The protagonist who is emotionally fragile but growing stronger. She starts the story as an innocent, unsure young woman, but as she forms deep bonds with Nobita and Dekisuji, she learns that love and trust are complicated and not without cost.
Nobita – The “switch” between playful and intense, he hides a troubled past filled with family trauma. He becomes emotionally entangled with Shizuka, but his darkness pulls him into situations that challenge his bond with her.
Dekisuji – The “top” with a dark past and a secret agenda. Cold and calculating at first, his affection for Shizuka deepens, but his true motivations remain veiled. As their relationship intensifies, Dekisuji’s need to control everything threatens their fragile balance.
Ava – Shizuka’s older sister, whose jealousy and cruelty drive much of Shizuka’s emotional turmoil. Ava’s manipulative nature creates obstacles for Shizuka’s personal growth.
Herdis – Shizuka’s brother, who suffers from a mental condition known as "Little Space." He is unaware of the abuse Shizuka endures and becomes a tragic figure in the story.
Hayato – A mysterious figure from Dekisuji’s past who resurfaces, adding an element of danger and betrayal. His presence destabilizes the delicate equilibrium between Shizuka, Nobita, and Dekisuji.
Chapter 1: The Quiet Before the Storm
Shizuka had always lived in the shadows of her family.
Quiet and introverted, she spent most of her time in books, escaping into worlds where she didn’t have to face the harshness of reality. Her family didn’t understand her, and she didn’t understand them.
The cruelty of her older sister, Ava, and the coldness of her parents were all she had ever known. But in this world of darkness, there were moments of light—strange, unexpected connections with people who saw her as something more.
One day, she met Nobita and Dekisuji. Nobita, with his playful smile and deep, searching eyes, had an energy that pulled her in.
Dekisuji, on the other hand, was the complete opposite—brooding, distant, and with a sharp, unsettling aura that intrigued her.
They both came from backgrounds filled with secrets, yet Shizuka couldn't help but feel drawn to them.
They first spoke to her one evening, after a school event. As she lingered by herself, watching the other students laugh and talk, Nobita approached her. His smile was warm, disarming.
Nobita
Hey, you don't look like you're enjoying the party. Want to grab some coffee or something? We could talk.
Shizuka was hesitant, but his offer was too kind to refuse. Little did she know, this simple invitation would change everything
Chapter 2: A Dangerous Connection
Nobita and Dekisuji started to appear more often in her life, not just in the hallways but in moments that seemed to blur the line between friendship and something deeper.
Shizuka found herself sharing parts of her life she had never dared to before.
The things she kept locked inside—her fears, her pain, and the suffocating feeling that had haunted her for years—came out in fragments during their late-night conversations.
There was something compelling about both of them.
Nobita's vulnerability drew her in, while Dekisuji's quiet intensity seemed to pull at something hidden deep within her. She found herself questioning why she had never allowed anyone to get close before.
Shizuka
I don’t know how to feel about this. You two... you’re different. But why me?
Nobita
Because you’re real, Shizuka. Not like the others.
Dekisuji's eyes met hers for a moment, cold but searching.
Dekisuji
You’re not like everyone else. You’re interesting.
The words were simple, yet they sent a chill through her. There was something deeper in them, something unspoken.
