Ep-2

After Raina is done with Vicky Raina left to her apartment in the late night and slept
The faint glow of the city lights seeps through partially closed curtains. The room is quiet except for the soft ticking of a clock on the wall. Raina lies tangled in her sheets, her brows furrowed, her breath uneven. The room grows colder, unnaturally so. A faint crackling sound echoes, like fire consuming wood.
Voice
Voice
*Faint, distorted* Raina... Raina... Look at me...
In her dream, she’s standing in a dim, smoky room. Shadows dance violently on cracked walls. In the center, a figure stands—his body engulfed in flames. His face is twisted, grotesque, melting into itself, yet his hollow, fiery eyes remain locked on her.
Voice
Voice
*Voice crackling like burnt wood* You let this happen... You watched... You walked away...
The sound of flesh sizzling fills the silence, accompanied by distant screams. The figure takes a step closer, and the smell of burning flesh becomes suffocating.
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Whispers in her sleep* No… stop… please…
Suddenly, the flaming man’s charred hand grabs her wrist, his touch blistering her skin. His face gets impossibly close, and his hollow eyes reflect her own terror.
Voice
Voice
Flaming Figure *screaming* LOOK AT ME!
Raina jerks awake with a sharp gasp, bolting upright in bed. Her chest heaves, and her skin glistens with sweat. Her hand trembles as she clutches the blanket to her chest. The faint smell of smoke lingers in her senses, making her glance around the dark room frantically.
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Panting, whispering* It’s not real… it’s not real…
Her breath is sharp, uneven, and she struggles to steady herself. Her hand reaches for the glass of water on her bedside table, but it tips over, spilling water across the floor. Her entire body shakes as she runs her hands through her hair, trying to ground herself.
She stumbles out of bed, nearly tripping over her tangled sheets. Her bare feet hit the cold floor as she makes her way to the bathroom. The fluorescent light flickers as she switches it on. Raina grips the sink tightly, her knuckles turning white as she stares at her reflection in the mirror. Her face is pale, her eyes wide with lingering fear
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Staring into the mirror, voice trembling* Pull yourself together. It’s just a dream. Just… a dream.
But her reflection doesn’t offer any comfort. The faint image of flames flickers in her pupils, and she quickly shuts her eyes, turning the tap on and splashing cold water on her face repeatedly.
Her phone buzzes on the nightstand, breaking the silence. Raina takes a deep breath, straightens her posture, and wipes her face with a towel. She walks back into the bedroom, her expression now carefully controlled, the panic buried deep beneath her composed exterior
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Softly, but firmly* You’re stronger than this.
She grabs her phone and sees a notification from Ravi about a new case. Her face hardens as she slips into her authoritative demeanor. The haunting echoes of the nightmare linger in the shadows of her room, but Raina refuses to let them consume her.
CBI Headquarters – Briefing Room
The sun filters through the large glass windows of the briefing room. A long conference table sits at the center, scattered with case files, photographs, and a laptop displaying gruesome images of burnt bodies. Raina enters briskly, wearing a crisp black blazer over her shirt. Ravi is already seated, flipping through the case files, his expression serious.
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
*Looking up* Morning, Raina. You’re earlier than I expected.
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Crossing her arms* Let’s cut to the chase, Ravi. You said it’s urgent.
Ravi gestures to a whiteboard with images pinned in sequence—two crime scene photos showing burnt bodies in grotesque poses.

Ep-3

Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
*Pointing at the images* Two murders. Both happened on the same date—the 19th, exactly a month apart. Both victims were burned to death, and the killer left… *pauses* absolutely nothing behind. No fingerprints, no footprints, no traceable accelerants.
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Studying the images* And the connection between the victims?
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
*Shakes his head* None. The first victim was a local schoolteacher. The second was a retired postman. Different age groups, different professions, different parts of the city
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Narrowing her eyes* That’s impossible. There’s always a pattern, Ravi. Even chaos has a method.
Ravi sighs and runs a hand through his hair.
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Trust me, Raina, we’ve turned over every stone. The killer is either incredibly smart or incredibly lucky.
The door creaks open, and Kavya enters, holding a tablet and a fresh stack of files. Her eager expression contrasts the heavy air in the room
Kavya Deshmukh (fl
Kavya Deshmukh (fl's jr)
*Smiling slightly* Morning, ma’am. Morning, Ravi sir.
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
*nods* Kavya, sit down. We’re discussing the pattern—or lack of it—in these murders.
Kavya places the files on the table and pulls up an image on her tablet.
Kavya Deshmukh (fl
Kavya Deshmukh (fl's jr)
I cross-referenced both crime scenes, ma’am. No unusual movement in CCTV footage nearby, no suspicious persons reported in the area. It’s like the killer is a ghost.
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Leaning forward, eyes sharp* Ghosts don’t set people on fire, Kavya. Humans do. Intelligent, methodical, ruthless humans.
Silence fills the room for a moment as they process the gravity of the situation.
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
*Breaking the silence* There’s one more thing. Both victims received anonymous phone calls a day before their deaths. Burner phones. Completely untraceable.
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Narrowing her eyes* What did they talk about?
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
No clue. Both phones were destroyed after the calls
Kavya Deshmukh (fl
Kavya Deshmukh (fl's jr)
*hesitant* Ma’am, could it be revenge-related? Maybe someone connected to them from the past?
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*coldly* If that were the case, there’d still be some common thread. We’re missing something. Something small but important
Raina walks over to the whiteboard, her heels clicking against the tiled floor. She studies the victims' profiles carefully, her eyes sharp and focused.
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
The date—19th. Why the 19th? It’s not random. It’s deliberate. *pauses* And fire… the killer uses fire every time. Why fire?
Kavya shifts uncomfortably in her seat, while Ravi rubs his temple.
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Maybe it’s symbolic? Fire often represents purification, revenge, or even rebirth in some twisted minds.
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
*Looking at Ravi* Or guilt. Sometimes fire isn’t about the victim—it’s about the one setting the flames.
Kavya looks at Raina with concern, noticing the slight tremble in her hand as she holds the marker. Raina quickly composes herself.
Kavya Deshmukh (fl
Kavya Deshmukh (fl's jr)
Should we focus on the phone calls, ma’am? Maybe we can find something with cross-referenced telecom data.
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
Ravi Sharma (Inspector)
I’ll start digging into telecom records. But it’s a long shot
Raina Mehra (fl)
Raina Mehra (fl)
Do it. And Kavya, pull up every detail about the victims' pasts—friends, family, any hint of a connection.
Kavya nods and starts typing furiously on her tablet.
