At A hospital

" Push, push, the head is out, push a little harder" the doctor said to the woman in the operating table, who was drenched in sweat as she pushed harder.

Few hours later,

 The cry of a baby echoed in the labor room, and the woman passed out after glancing at the baby.

  in front of the hospital nursery , a woman with exquisite makeup ,a curly hair , a beautiful curvaceous figure and a cunning smile on her face walked towards a nurse " I'm here to see my baby " and the nurse replied with a meaningful nod , they both entered the nursery room .

      They stood in front of one of the isolette , with a name tag 'Lily ' and the woman whispered " is this her child ?" and the nurse nodded and said " yes , she gave birth a few hours ago , the baby is very healthy " the lady sneered and smiled , walking towards a child not so far away , and carried it smiling " my little Anne , mom loves you " she hugged and kissed her and dropped her back . Turning towards the nurse she brought out a cheque and signed saying " you know what to do , right? " she said with a sinister expression and the nurse nodded with greed as she took the cheque , the woman walked out and left .

 Meanwhile ,the nurse picked up Anne and puts her in Lily isolette and puts Lily in Anne isolette....

 * BREAKING NEWS: Mrs. Emilie sister of the famous actress committed suicide by jumping down the hospital building where her sister put to birth, everyone knows about the grudge between this two sisters....... * Emily switched off the TV, she had no feelings for this so-called sister of hers. " You should rest, don't care about these insignificant things, you just put to birth, you must be stressed out, so get a good sleep" her husband Caleb said as he sighed and strokes her hair. " Do you pity her ?" Emily asked angrily as she laid on the hospital VIP bed.

  " NO!!" Caleb said anxiously "listen, what happened that time was a mistake, I don't love Emilie, never!, what she said was a lie, okay, listen to me love" he held both side of Emily face and touched her forehead with his. " Okay, I trust you !" Emily said as she smiled " why haven't they brought my lily yet ! , I'm worried Caleb, what if Emilie has a trick behind her sleeve !?" she continued anxiously, " she's fine, she will stay with Grandma for a few months for protection’s sake okay " Caleb reassured her. " But I don't want to separate from her please 🥺" she plead with Caleb. " You can only see her once, but it's final she'll stay with Grandma for safety reasons okay, sleep first" he replied and held her shoulders to help her lie down on the bed, she smiled sadly and closed her eyes to sleep due to stress of delivery and tiredness, she fell asleep quickly. While Caleb stared at her with tenderness.

* The next day*

Emily woke up and just then received the news that Emilie had a daughter secretly before she died named Anne, just thinking about it made her blood boil, Emilie had a daughter!!! . She requested to see the child and when, she did she felt suffocated.

" Let's take her home with us" Caleb said expressionlessly, as he stared at the child also feeling resentful towards it." she looks pretty, are you sure she's her child, or she stole someone else's" Emily said pondering '' she hasn't been in a relationship apart from that time with you, so the child couldn't be hers right?" . " I don't know, I don't care" Caleb said indifferently and turned to the nurse "we'll take her with us so prepare the discharge procedures" . After the nurse left little Anne started crying and wailing, annoying Emily, she turned to Caleb "let's go see our own baby then, I want to see Lily!" Caleb nodded "sure!" pushing her wheelchair towards the door and Anne wailing and crying grew louder, but they didn't feel like comforting her either, they kept walking and left the room, living little Anne crying and sobbing till the nurse came.

" OOO, what a poor thing, did they leave you like this, alone !?" and Anne stopped but continued like she wasn't stopping anytime soon, the nurse picked her up and patted her back, Anne was born just yesterday, so she was weak and sobbed silently while Lily was a few days old and acted more comfortable than a newborn. But these two couples didn't seem to notice

'Well if it was me I wouldn't see the difference either.'

Emily carried Lily in her arms and smiled so happily that her eyes were not visible, Caleb was happy too and although he carried Lily he was stiff and didn't carry her for long as she kept moving to show she was uncomfortable, and gave her back to Emily. " She's so beautiful, just like you " Caleb complimented smiling and Emily blushes and turns away. " let's get discharged ,the hospital disinfectant smell is suffocating " Emily murmured in a low tone and Caleb nodded as he half danced and half walked out of the room.

Caleb was done with the discharge procedures and they were free to go home .

* At home*

Jacob, Zack, Simon and Raphael with their grandpa Mr. Adams sat in the living room awaiting their little sister. When they heard the sound of car honk, they knew they were back and anxiously waited, they wanted to visit but weren't allowed so they had to patiently wait at home, the couples entered the house with a smile on their face, Emily held one and a nurse held the other making catching everyone of guard.

" Dad, mom, did mom give birth to twins?" Jacob the oldest 7 yrs asked. Hearing this the couples face became even more unpleasant and they didn't know how to express it.

" No, mommy didn't give birth to twins ,she gave birth to only one girl that's Lily ,the one in my arms " Emily explained smiling , she was too happy for her mood to be spoiled by anyone.

" so who's the other baby?" 5 year old Zack asked frowning. " it's your aunt's child ".

 " She's your aunt's child " Emily replied sullenly and everyone went silent same as their mood.

" What! " everyone echoed and Caleb nodded in conclusion.

" That wicked aunt has a child! " Simon yelled angrily and kicked around, Mr. Adams face was even worse like it would drop ink. " How ?" he asked sternly and Caleb shrugged showing they didn't know how, trying to break the tense atmosphere, Emily said sadly" we've been through a long journey, from the delivery room to the hospital and then to the house, I'm tired and hungry, the food at the hospital taste worse than the sweet one at home !" , everyone burst into laughter at her sad words, and she pouts her lips in response. " Hey, go get my daughter some food to eat" .

" Mom, can I hold Lily ? " Jacob asked excitedly. " Not yet, you can hold her after lunch, okay!"

" What about me ?" - Simon

" And me ?"- Zack

" Me!, mom! , me too !" - Raphael

" Hahaha 😂, okay ! , okay! , you'll all carry her okay" Emily said as she smiled .she wouldn't lie, but it's been a long time she had smile and her family being peaceful and harmonious like this before.

* after lunch *

IN THE STUDY.

" So what are we going to do with the child?" Mr Adam asked staring at the two couples. They stared at each other for a while and Emily replied "I plan on taking her to the orphanage cause that's the best place for her, besides, what if she grows up to be just like her mother !" . Just as she finished speaking, Caleb cleared his throat loudly and said" maybe we should let her stay after all she just a kid who does not know anything, she's innocent in my own point of view!" Emily silently glanced at her husband to show her disapproval of the idea, but all they got was a silence on Mr. Adams side as he seemed to be thinking of something.

After what felt like half an hour, he sighed and said" we shouldn't take her to the orphanage, let her stay with your mother Caleb" the latter sentence was directed at Caleb who hesitated but nodded and said "okay ". "Okay, since that's settled, you guys should go get some rest".

The two stood up and left the study, entering their room, Emily finally expressed her feelings. " You know what Emilie has done to us and this family, so why do you care so much about her child" Caleb tried talking, but she interrupted him again " I know, the child is innocent, so what !! , a child of a fox is a fox simple Caleb, do you think her child would be any different from her, don't get any stupid illusions" Caleb sighed and replied "okay, what ever you say, okay, just get some rest, everything have been settled down, she'll stay with my mother for a while"

"What do you mean by a while" Emily interjected sharply and sighed sadly " Emily don't be like this okay ! , let's see if she does act like her mother, you can do what ever you want with her, scold her, punish her, it's all in your hands, but she'll stay here after a 'while' okay!" Caleb replied and Emily nodded angrily and went to the other room to meet Lily and just seeing the little baby made her a little at ease.

The incident of Emilie death was too unbelievable, Emilie was a scheming woman who never gave up no matter what, so why did she suddenly commit suicide, they didn't believe it at first but, seeing her dead body and the blood test proving that it was real and true, Emily felt Emilie wouldn't die without trying to destroy her.

' I have this feeling that Emilie have something up her sleeve before she died ' she sighed inwardly.
