So this is my first book and I hope you all enjoy it.
About the description,I didn't know what to write so I just let it be

Astrid was sitting on the porch swing outside her house, basking in the sun's glowing presence and reading a novel when two men in suits walked up to her, blocking the sunlight
Astrid
*Looks up at the two men*
Can I help you
Man 1
Does Ayra Bellows live here
Astrid
Yes sir...
Is there a problem
Man 2
Not yet...
We need to see her
Astrid
*Goes inside and calls her mom*
Ayra
*Walks over to the two men*
Such a sudden visit,is there a problem
Man 1
*Motions to Astrid*
Can she excuse us
Ayra
*Turns to Astrid*
Can you wait inside sweetie
Astrid eyes the two men suspiciously before going inside
Ayra
*She turns her attention back to the men*
Why are you here... what do you want from me
Man 2
You know what we want
Man 1
Your husband made a deal with us before he died
Ayra
Can't your boss change his mind
Man 2
Your time is running out
Both the men leave and Ayra goes back inside. She sits down with a sigh and buries her face in her hands
Astrid
Mom who were those men
Ayra
*Looks up at Astrid*
You don't need to worry
Ayra stands up and goes into her room
One night,Astrid wakes up to the sound of gunshots then her mom walks into the room
Astrid
Mom what's going on
Ayra
I can't explain right now. Pack your bags we have to leave
Astrid
What,why what's happening
She leaves and Astrid packs her things and goes to meet her mother downstairs. She sees a gun on the table with a few other bags
They get into the car and drive off. Astrid looks out the window
They keep driving. Then they hear more gunshots from behind as black cars start chasing them. One of the bullets break off a side mirror
Arya drives faster till the black cars are out of sight.Then she parks in an alleyway and turns off the headlights. A few minutes later,the other black cars speed past them
Ayra
Pick up your bags. We'll continue on foot
They pack their things out of the car and keep walking. Then more gunshots.
They start running and quickly hide behind a boulder. They both hold their breaths as the men shooting them scan the surroundings before leaving
Astrid looked over at her mom,who was clutching her stomach
Astrid placed her hands on her mom's stomach and felt a warm thick liquid spread over her hands
BLOOD
Ayra
Astrid... promise me you'll get to your aunt's house
Ayra
I'll only weigh you down... leave and make sure those men don't get to you... You have to survive and get to your aunt
Ayra
No buts... leave now
I wish I could protect you but I can't so your aunt will
Ayra
Go Astrid... run and don't look back
With tears in her eyes,she takes her bags and runs.She hears gunshots but she keeps going
Eventually,she gets to her aunt's house and explains everything that happened
That's the end of Chapter 1

After explaining everything to her aunt,she takes a bath to wash away all the blood and lays on her bed
She falls asleep but wakes up in a cold sweat as images of her mother's death flash before her eyes
She curls up in her bed and cries her eyes out
After her mother's death,Astrid becomes nothing but a shadow of herself,not knowing what to do
Two years pass like this before Astrid is slightly able to recover. She starts to work at an Art studio where she meets Amelia

Owner of the art studio where Astrid works
Personality: Calm,kind hearted, helpful, trustworthy
So that day,Astrid and Amelia were organising the Art studio when Amelia spotted some suited men walking in front of the studio.
Astrid was in the back room so she didn't know they were there
Amelia
*Walks over to the men*
Is there any problem
Man 1
Do you know anyone named Astrid Bellows
Amelia
*She shook her head*
I'm afraid I don't
Man 2
We need to search your Art studio
Amelia
...okay
Give me a minute
Amelia went inside the store and told Astrid about the men
Amelia
Some suited men asked about you.
Astrid
I need you to hide me right now
Astrid
I'll explain later but right now I need a place to hide
Amelia showed Astrid a stairwell under one of the floorboards
Astrid
Um...why is there a stairwell here...
Amelia
I just keep extra supplies there,quick get in
Astrid went in and Amelia closed the floorboard just as the men walked in
They searched the whole place including the back room
One of them stood right above the floorboard where Astrid was
Man 2
Seems you have a loose floorboard here
Amelia
Um...yeah....I keep extra supplies there
Thankfully they left without searching underneath the floorboard and Amelia helped Astrid out
They both sat down and Astrid explained everything to Amelia

So now you're like a walking target
Astrid
Yeah and I don't even know what for

What about your Aunt
Amelia
Does she know anything about this

I never really thought to ask

Maybe you should... just incase she knows something

Um...also thanks for helping me hide from those men earlier
After work that day,Astrid went home to go confront her aunt
