I have to find a way out. I...I have to. I can't let Xavier stay here any longer. It's getting harder to protect him and all the Omegas in the pack. We're like lamb, just waiting to be slaughtered with no hope of escaping.

" Lucien, thank you so much!" Kiran gripped my hands with watery eyes " if...if you didn't happen to pass by, I... I'd-"

" Alright don't think about it." I interrupted him. " You all have to be careful. I can't always be there you know."

 They all nodded but I could detect their worries by the way they were all frowning. It's forbidden in the pack for an omega to resist an Alpha or a Beta. If they want you, you can't fight back even if you wanted to.

  I...I hate this! I hate being here! I hate this pack and every damn Alpha! Even the betas are no different. They all see us as nothing but a tool, used to satisfy their own sexual needs.

  I've been protecting the Omegas in this pack ever since I turned ten. It's a very tasking responsibility I imposed on myself but I can't just wait on my hands and do nothing. Ever since one of us got pregnant and every Alpha shirked responsibility and the omega killed himself, I vowed never to let history repeat itself.

 I alway mask my scent and sneak to the training grounds every morning till noon to spy on them. Self trained, I grew stronger than an average omega and I was on par with a Delta. Though not strong enough to challenge an Alpha, I wouldn't lose easily against a beta either.

 Our pack healer Alexia, always supported me and always stood up to them whenever she had the chance. Head Alpha Nicolas can't do anything to her cause she's an Alpha like him, but one of these days, he might just snap. I can see it coming.

" I think you should be more careful Lucien." I snapped out of my thoughts and turned to Cameron " Do you know how crazy they are for you? Your hair and eye colors are very distinctive. They're lusting after you even more than us."

 " I say they're even more stupid than I thought." I sneered " if they want their balls cut off, they can try coming after me. It's been a while since I had a real challenge."

I saw them all widen their eyes in horror before shaking their heads at my stubbornness.

  The door suddenly flung open as Xavier rushed inside.

 " Lucien? You're in deep trouble now!"

" What?"

" Head Alpha Nicolas called for you. The beta you hit a moment ago is also in his office." he was fidgeting and so were the others.

 " Don't fret. I'll be back." I assured them before walking out with Xavier.

  The moment I closed the door behind me, my expression grew cold. I knew what was waiting for me, but I don't regret it. We walked fast and got to Alpha Nicolas' office and walked in.

" Alpha." I lowered my head despite hating the act.

" Lucien you're getting bolder. For an omega, you've got guts hitting my pack members." he said, reminding me that I'm nothing but an outcast who was abandoned on their pack borders.

" Did you attack him?" Alpha Nicolas gestured at the beta standing close to me.

" Yes I did Alpha."

" Courageous as always." Alpha Nicolas laughed " Do you know what your punishment is?"

" I'm prepared for it." I answered with my head still lowered.

 " Take him away and strike him twenty times. Don't let him die." Four arms reached out and dragged me outside.

 I didn't struggle nor put up a protest as I got dragged towards the punishment ground. The Omegas ran to watch and I saw Alexia amidst them. They all had a worried expression on their faces and Xavier was on the verge of crying.

 I gave them a small smile to tell them I'll be fine. It wasn't the first time I'm getting dragged out and flogged like this but this was the first time I was to be hit more than seven times!

" Tie him down." ropes were tied on my two wrists as my hands were sprawled out.

  I stood still and took the first couple hits with a frown. I felt my bones fracture, but I was unwilling to show any sign of weakness and stood still. When the fifteenth strike landed, I coughed up a mouthful of blood, but I didn't open my eyes.

 I could feel their gazes on me. Their lustful and penetrating gazes that threatened to strip me bare. It was gut-wrenching and I felt the urge to cough up a mouthful of blood in which I did.

I heard the Omega's burst into tears one after the other. It started with one of them and like a chain reaction, they all burst into tears. I felt an headache coming up and I shot my eyes open.

" Quiet!" I reprimanded while coughing up more blood " I'm getting an headache from all those crying. Do you have to be weak all the time? I'm the one getting hit not you."

I didn't wait to see their reactions before lowering my head again and closing my eyes to wait for the last two strikes.

The moment my hand were freed, the Alphas standing close to me reached out to hold me steady. Struggling to stand, I yanked myself free.

" No matter how strong you try to act, you're nothing but a weak omega."

" Ah! " I laughed while staggering " Well then, you all wait and watch. Watch how this weak omega ruin you all!" I stumbled towards Alexia and finally collapsed in her hands.

" Get him to the infirmary!" Alexia passed me to Xavier and the others who ran towards the pack clinic like their life depends on it.

They're all making a mountain out of an anthill. I'm not going to die. Not now. I have to kill then all first. Every single one of them.

 I slowly opened my eyes and tried to adjust to the bright lighting of the room. I glanced at the familiar ceiling, blue curtains and white hospital bed.

 Glancing down, I saw an IV drip connected to my right hand. I threw my head back and sighed. My bones were aching like crazy, but I was used to it.

 Pain. It's not a new thing to me. It's something I experience every few days. Due to the training I go through every day, my body heals faster than other omegas, but I end up getting those bones broken again in a few days.

 The door suddenly swing open as a figure ran towards my bedside.

" Lucie? You're finally awake!" Xavier was crying his eyes out while holding me.

" Alright, stop crying now." I tried to pacify him.

" Do you know how worried we all are? The others have been crying and blaming themselves these past few days."

 " Wait days? " I widened my eyes " how long was I out for? "

 " Three days."

" Three days?! " I struggled to sit up " How are the others? Did anything while I was out? Are they-"

" Lucie, slow down." Xavier held me down " We are safe. Alexia has been keeping us safe this past few days. "

" Are you sure?"

" Will I lie to you? We're really fine. They're all waiting for you to wake up."

  I calmed down and laid back down. It's good nothing happened. Since all the chores and work are handled by the Omegas, it's easily for them to be raped if they're away from the omega hostel. I can't help but worry.

" Alpha Nicolas said to visit him once you wake up."

" Tell him I'm dead. " I deadpanned and shut my eyes.

" Don't you dare joke like that." Xavier smacked my arm " Nothing will happen to you. Don't say things like that."

 " Alright don't cry. I was just joking." I quickly soothed him.

  Ah! How can I die and leave you behind?

  Three days later, my bones were healed, and my scars were slowly fading. My room has been packed with omegas every day since I woke up. Some came with food while others came to ask about my well-being.

 Kiran has been bawling his eyes out and blaming himself for what happened to me. No matter how hard I tried to convince him, he just wouldn't listen so I let him cry to his heart satisfaction.

 The thing I'm dreading the most is Alpha Nicolas' order. I have to go see him soon or he might take out his anger on the Omegas. He knows they're my weakness, so he always try to threaten me with them.

 " Vier." I called out " let's go meet head Alpha Nicolas. If I wait it out any longer, I might die of Anxiety."

  We dragged our feet towards Alpha Nicolas office. After knocking and receiving the order to enter, we walked in.

 My pupils constricted when I smell the pheromones of three dominant Alphas. Alpha Nicolas has guests.

" Alpha." Xavier and I lowered our head as we tried not to show any signs of weakness to their pheromones.

 " Raise your heads." I heard Alpha Nicolas command.

 Though confused, I complied and raised my head. I tried not to stare into their eyes as I took in their features. They were young Alphas with domineering presence.

 One was blond with blue eyes and a pale skin. He was putting on a suit with a coat on top.

 The other was brunette with hazel eyes and a soft feature. His skin was even more paler than the blond. He was also putting on a suit with a coat on top. They both had smiles on their faces, but it felt disgusting to me.

" What do you think?" I heard Alpha Nicolas say, which only add to my confusion.

" I'll take the one with Silver hair and mismatched eyes. Conner can take the one with black hair."

  Wait what?! What the actual fuck is going on here?! I raised my head and stared at Alpha Nicolas.

 " Alpha. I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean." I tried not to grit my teeth.

 " You and your brother are going to get mated to these Alphas. What don't you understand? "

 I felt my world crashed down heavily upon me, threatening to bury me in it ruins. Mated? To an Alpha? I'll rather die!

 " I wouldn't do that if I were you." Alpha Nicolas voiced out " I know what you're thinking boy, and it's best if you don't do anything foolish. I'm sure you're other 'brothers' wouldn't want to see that."

 I clenched my fist tight as I lowered my head in defeat. Xavier grabbed unto me, but there's nothing we can do. Our fates has been sealed.

 Very quickly, the news spread around the whole pack. The silver haired omega who serves as a protector for the omegas, is getting sold of to another pack.

 The Omegas were bawling their eyes out up until the day Xavier and I were to leave arrived. Our so called ' future mates ', came to pick us up with their warriors.

 Xavier was putting on a pair of turtleneck and jeans with a blue coat while I was putting on a black button down shirt with trousers and a gray coat. Winter was right around the corner.

We each had a bag pack with us. It took us a while to leave cause Alexia and the omegas were unwilling. After advising and encouraging them to look after each other, Xavier and I were separated and placed in different cars.

I sat close to the window as I tried to create as much space as possible between Alpha Conrad and I. I stared at my reflection in the tinted glass. My hair was up in a rough bun cause I was in a hurry. My mismatched eyes were dull and almost looked lifeless.

The usual green glow and sparkling blue eyes Xavier loved and cherished, had died. I looked even paler than usual. I was nervous as hell.

" You don't have to be nervous you know." I turned towards Alpha Conrad " Nicolas said you and your brother haven't had your first heat yet, so you don't have to be so nervous. We'll get to know each other first and even after your first heat, I can wait till you're ready."

I blinked at him before lowering my head and staring at my entwined fingers. Alphas....their silver tongue are unmatched!

I played along and nodded my head slowly. This is the only chance I have to escape. Once we leave the woods, I won't be able to escape from him if we enter his pack grounds.

I can't let that happen. To either me or Xavier! I dread the thought of mating with my own fated mate, and now I have no choice but to mate with another Alpha who's not. I hate it! I hate everything! I hate-

My thoughts were interrupted when the car came to a screeching halt. Alpha Conrad grabbed my hand much to my dissatisfaction and drew me close to him.

" What the fuck happened?!" he yelled.

" Rogue attack! "

  Rouges?

 My heart leap to my throat as I grab the door handle. A hand yanked me back and I collided with a sturdy figure.

" Are you insane Lucien?!" I heard Alpha Conrad seethe " How can you jump out like that? Your brother will be fine as long as Conner's with him."

 I refused to listen to a word he says as I frantically struggled to get away from him. I hate being this close to an Alpha. I can't help the disgust that wells up in me.

" Stay still." he held me tighter " I'll go out to lend a hand, but you have to stay inside Lucien and that's an order. Don't you fucking take a step out of this car. Am I understood?"

 I whimpered and nodded as my submissive side could not fight against an Alpha's commanding voice. He buried his neck in the scruff of my neck and nuzzled around a bit. After a little while, he let go and jumped out of the car while shifting in midair and landing on all fours.

A large gray wolf with deep blue eyes turned to look at me before shutting the door with it paw and pouncing on a rouge.

  Realization hit me and I grabbed my backpack. I waited patiently and when the perfect moment arrived, I opened the door and crept out. I made my way towards Xavier who was also locked in the car. The moment I opened the car door, Xavier pounced on me.

" Be quiet." I covered his mouth and grabbed his backpack.

 With the car as a shade, we crept further into the woods. The moment we were out of sight, Xavier and I made a run for it. We had zero idea where we going, but we didn't stop. We had escape.

 After running hours nonstop, we found a cave and ran inside. It was empty much to our satisfaction and we quickly settled in. The fight should have ended long ago but I tried not to imagine how the Alphas will react if they found the cars empty.

" Lucie it's cold." Xavier moved closer to me and placed his head on my shoulder.

 I opened my backpack and rummaged through it. Pilling up a bunch of dried woods, we made a fire with the lighter I found. Xavier leaned on me and I wrapped my hands around me and drew him closer as I leaned back on the stone wall.

 I had no idea where were headed but as long as we're together, we'll be safe. As soon as we leave the woods, I'll find us a relatively quiet place to live amongst humans. We'll live away from werewolves and the likes.

 I cast my gaze low and stared at Xavier. I know why Alpha Conrad chose him, after all, he is one of the most beautiful omegas in the pack.

  Ruffling his hair. I covered him with my coat and closed my eyes. I need all the strength I can get.

 It's been weeks since we've been on the run and the weather became unbearable as the day goes by. It's been snowing heavily, and the whole woods is covered with snow. Xavier almost fell from a cliff one time.

My injuries were still in the process of healing and along with the stunt I pulled while trying to save Xavier, I opened them up and got new ones. Xavier's been worrying his head off about me and the drugs I brought with me weren't really helping the situation.

 Xavier's backpack was full of dried food and snacks while I packed medicines and inhalers, mittens and extra socks.

" How much further?" Xavier groaned.

" I'm not sure, but I see a clearing up ahead." I squinted " Let's pick up the pace. We might be out of here soon."

We soon arrived at the clearing, but there was nothing and no creature in sight. Despite the cold weather, we still encountered some animals on the road, but it's eerily quiet.

 I took hold of Xavier's hand and dragged him behind me. My pupils constricted when I smelt the scent I was trying to run away from, wolves! Ton of them!

 Are they rouges? But we haven't encountered any along the way. Did we fall into a trap set by them?

 A low growl snapped me back to reality, but I wasn't going to back down that easily. Not this time.

 A brown wolf emerged from the woods, followed by another. More wolves in their wolf form emerged and soon, we were encircled by a dozen wolves or so.

 A man walked out with a frown and scanned Xavier and I. His gaze softened after a few seconds buy I know we were in for it cause we didn't run into rogues, No. We've stumbled upon a pack's boundary!

" Who are you?" he asked in a thick voice.

" Lucien." I look him straight in the eye.

" What's your purpose in coming here?"

" None, that I can assure you." I hid Xavier away from their line of sight " We got attacked by rogues and got separated from our pack. We couldn't navigate our way out due to the snowstorm and ended up getting lost. We have no intention to trespass, so we'll be on our way."

 His hard gaze softened a lot, but I wasn't sure if they're gonna let us walk away freely. His face suddenly scrunched up in a frown as he sniffed the air and zero his gaze on Xavier.

 My pupils constricted when I realized what was going on...... Xavier was experiencing his first heat!

 I turned around and held him down. I took off my backpack and rummaged through it to try and find anything that could work. I grabbed a pill bottle. A suppressant. When did those get in there?

 I threw those thoughts to the back off my head as I stuff the pills into Xavier's mouth. He quickly scrunched up his brows and made an attempt to spit it out.

" Don't you fucking dare! Swallow them now! Do you know the situation you're in right now? You're having your first heat and if you don't swallow those pills now, I'll be more than happy to help."

 Xavier swallowed the pills dry and tried to control his breathing. The wolves that were surrounding us had moved back a great distance which I'm thankful for. An omega's heat does things to other wolves.

 " Why the hell is this happening now?!" Xavier groaned " Alexia isn't here. I feel like my insides are on fire."

" Suck it up." I growled and kept stuffing the pills into his mouth.

 When I felt his pheromones weaken, I stopped the pills. Xavier kept holding himself and growling, and I tried not to touch him. The smallest contact from someone who's not his mate will cause him additional pain.

After a while, his pheromones were finally under control. I lifted my hand to touch Xavier when he collapsed. I quickly reached out and grabbed him. It's a normal thing so he'll be fine. It's best if he's unconscious.

I turned to the delta who was speaking to me earlier.

" I have to get back home." I stood up and lifted Xavier and the backpacks " Sorry for the trouble though."

 I turned to walk away when my legs gave out. My injuries weren't healing and I barely ate anything while trying to make sure Xavier was full. I felt my vision get clouded, and a series of hurried footsteps, but my only concern was that I was dying and leaving Xavier behind.

I wanted to give him an easy life but now I'm dying and leaving him in the hands of wolves who'll do anything to an omega in heat.

Darkness slowly wrapped it hands around me and dragged me into it embrace as i sank deeper into it lowest depths
