I repeatedly kept seeing strange faces. I saw a particular woman, she was the exact carbon copy of me. Or should I say I was the exact carbon copy of her. She was walking through the woods. Her icy blue eyes emanated a cold and powerful aura. It was impossible to look into her eyes. Soon my eyes closed even in the dream . This time, the woman was seated on a throne . She kept saying something but I could not hear her . I was utterly confused, what did all this mean. It all seemed real even though it was a dream. I could not imagine all these being real. It was really strange. The wind was blowing cold . Until I heard a voice saying "Lady Melanie"

Chapter 1.

Melanie's POV ( point of view.)

In that dream, everywhere was chaotic. I repeatedly kept seeing strange faces. I saw a particular woman. She was an elegance of beauty. She was the exact carbon copy of me. She was walking through the woods. Her icy blue eyes emanated a deadly aura. It was impossible to look into her eyes. Soon my eyes closed even in the dream. This time, the woman was seated on a throne. She kept saying something but I could not hear her. I was confused, unhinged and frightened. What did all these mean. It all seemed real even though it was a dream. The wind was chillingly cold. Suddenly I heard a familiar voice calling out to me . I thought it was the woman. I looked around and saw nobody . The voice kept calling out to me. Until my eyes snapped open and I saw the familiar face. It was Francis the butler"Young lady wake up" he shouted. I finally opened my eyes very well and looked around the familiar surroundings.

"Uh huh" I said absentmindedly.

"Miss you've finally woken up" Francis the butler said. "The madam is waiting for you" He added."where am I" l said. Francis looked at me strangely"You have had that strange dream again isn't it?" Francis asked knowingly. " Everytime you wake up from that strange dream you always ask the strangest questions" he added. "uh" Then I got my mind back.

Hi I am Melanie Avery Tate, daughter of Thompson Tate and Andry Tate. I grew up in a mansion. My friends call me Mel instead of Melanie.

" Mel you are awake" Andry said.

"Mom, I had that strange dream again it felt so real." I said to her. "shift it aside". She said like she always did.

This was not the first time I was having that strange dream, I always had it on a daily basis. My parents would always say I should shift it aside. It was as if they didn't want me to know something.

"Mel dad is back" Thompson said embracing me in a hug. I was the apple of my parents eyes. They treasured me with their lives. I love them and they love me so much. It was always in their eyes. "Get ready the Kens are coming here". Thompson said. The kens are my fiancé family.

Melanie's P.O.V

"Get ready the kens are coming here" Thompson said.

The kens were the family of my fiancé. I had a supposed illness that prevents me from remembering my past. I didn't know who I really was. "Okay". I replied.

Few minutes later the Kens arrived.

"Mr and Mrs Ken it's good to see you" my parents greeted, and I followed suit.

The kens were a family friend of my parents, so they were really close.

". Melanie you've grown into a beautiful and stunning lady. Come Joss say hi to your fiancée" Mrs Ken said. It wasn't news to me, we both knew what rich parents did with their Children's martial life. "Joss, nice meeting you again". This wasn't the first time I was meeting him though.

I gave him a handshake, and we all sat down and ate.

After we ate and talked they left.

Mel's P.O.V

"Do you Joss Ken take Melanie Avery Tate to be your lawfully wedded wife?" said the priest

"Yes I do"replied Joss.

I was in a white ball gown with silver high heels and my makeup was quite much.

I was beautiful no doubt. My jet black midnight hair was packed in a princess wavy bun. My icy blue eyes sparkled. Yeah! that's what I thought 'sparkled'. I have icy blue eyes, jet black hair and a flawless porcelain skin.

I was 6 feet tall. Quite tall for a girl.

"Do you Melanie Avery Tate take Joss Ken to be your lawfully wedded husband ". We both knew it was a contractual marriage. I didn't love him neither did he love me. We were just following our parents orders. I could have refused with my parents, but I have known Joss since I could remember. So l didn't protest, maybe it was just that I didn't have any will or anyone I loved. I couldn't even remember who I was, I didn't know what I was living for.

Just as I was about to say I do, I heard a loud sound BANG

"Everybody down" came a threatening voice.

"what why" I said questioningly. Everybody went down and sounds of gunshots followed after and a group of hefty men followed in and asked "where is the bride".

When I heard the question I became frightened because I knew I was the bride. I looked at Joss for any help, but he was battling with his own fears. He was almost wetting his own pants. I realized I was on my own as my parents could not even lift their heads as if they knew this would happen.

I knew they knew something. Soon the group of kidnappers came to me because I was the only lady in a ball gown kneeling on the podium. "Stand up!!" the man said dragging me up harshly. My face fell, what do I do now.I had no idea where they were taking me to. "Who are you"I said in a frightened and fear stricken voice.

"Don't worry you need to know me but our boss wants to see you". The man said.

'Don't worry?' how could I not worry when I being taken away by some group of kidnappers to God knows where. "Which boss who waht do you want" I said still frightened, I was already crying I felt overwhelmed by the whole thing. The man rolled his eyes at me and dragged me towards the aisle out of the wedding auditorium. I screamed "Mum, dad!!!". " we are coming for you butter berry" Thompson said.

They dragged me out of the wedding auditorium like a sheep to it's slaughterer. I was dragged into a luxury jeep and the jeep was driven. A gun was placed by my head so even though I wanted to scream that would be the last thing I do. So after a few hours of driving, the jeep finally stopped in front of a luxury mansion, after the gate was opened I saw a lot of cars packed in the large parking lot . The man beside me dragged me inside the house and after passing the hallway . He sto0ed in front of a man. The man was sitted on the couch like a king. I guessed that must be their boss. He was like a god made out of this world.
