The whole world is eagerly waiting to welcome the new year
The city is full of lights, events, music, plays, laughter and excitement
But that night was not the same for one person who was driving her car on the outskirts
Siri received a call that night from the hospital
Nurse
Hello. Am I speaking to Ms. Siri Neerav
Nurse
We are sorry to inform you. Your grandfather is in very serious condition... please come to the hospital immediately
Siri Neerav
I'll be right there
Siri rushes to the car anxiously. She calls her brother but there was no response
Not knowing what to do then, she starts her car and drives to the hospital
It was a quiet dark night. Siri was driving down Maple Street. The street was quiet, no crowds as it was on the outskirts.The familiar hum of the car engine was the only sound she could hear. Her mind was lost in the thoughts of her grandfather who was on the bed.
Suddenly, there was a screeching sound—tires skidding against the pavement. Before she could react, a force slammed into the back of her car.

What the hell is happening??
The impact knocked her forward, then back, her head jerked forward violently. Soon her vision blurred
Amidst the darkness she could see a familiar shadow approaching her in the light of her car
"Haaa Haaa Haaa". A strange voice came closer and closer.
As the voice came closer, Siri could recognize who that person was
BETRAYAL
Siri was half conscious lying in the quiet of the night
Through the fog of drowsiness, her senses began to sharpen, though slowly, as she sensed something—or someone—approaching.
At first, there was a faint rustling of footsteps, soft against the ground. The rhythm of the steps is even, as if the person walking was fully aware of the situation.
The footsteps grew louder, yet her mind couldn’t fully connect the sound to a name or a face
Then, as the figure drew closer, Siri could feel a familiar presence
an echo of a voice, a hint of a scent, a silhouette was just enough to recognize.

Alia... Alia... I'm here. Help!... help me!!
Siri pleaded for help though she was not fully conscious
The words come out in a strained whisper, barely audible, as if her throat was made of sandpaper.

she muttered softly, her tone laced with mock sympathy.

But don’t worry. I’m sure someone will find you soon... though I doubt it’ll make much of a difference.
She bent down just enough to make sure that Siri could hear her voice, savoring the look of fear that flickers in her eyes.
Shock was the first wave, a numb disbelief that refuses to settle.

No!! *whispers* why are you speaking this way?? please... please help me
