In the dense forest, there is an old, scary house where a mad scientist is conducting experiments.

" What kind of world is this, where only those people who were born with a golden spoon in their mouth, are the ones who truly live happily! I want to change this ugly system."

" I want all people will be equal"

"And forget how bitter life is."

The mad scientist is shouting with excitement to complete his experiment; he wants to change the world through it.

After he finished what he did, he laughed loudly again and said.

"Through this, the world will become perfect,"

He shouted out loud.

"Through Project-X, everyone will be fair!"

After that, he injected Project X into himself.

He didn't expect to regret what he did; he didn't know that PROJECT-X was a genetic mutation that, once it clung to your body, would make you lose control and turn you into a monster so terrifying in appearance that no one would accept you.

Due to the lack of self-control, from that day on, a series of killings occurred in their area, but it didn't last long, and the monster was captured.

They called it Genra.

Genra cannot be killed with normal equipment or even military weapons because Genra has an ultra-speed healing ability where, even if you destroy its body, it will just return to its form.

There is a saying that if the Genra cannot be killed with normal weapons, there might be a cure for whoever created it, but how can they do that if the Genra is also the one who created itself.

The people in their village decided to just throw Genra into the forest.

"Ahhh, Yasu, what do you think would be a good thing to do?"

Kagumi asked him while blowing smoke from his cigarette.

"It would be better if we went camping"

Yasu said softly while turning the pages of the book he was reading.

"Correct! Correct! ¡camping! That's fun, especially if there's food"

Dave exclaimed while eating chips.

"Hahahaha!"

Loud laughter coming from Alice

"You're really only thinking about food, Dave!"

"Where do you think is the best spot to go camping, Yasu?"

"Do you have any idea?"

Kagumi said questioningly while toasting the cigarette on the wall.

"There, in the private forest"

Yasu said as he closed the book.

"Where? that one who said that there was a monster?"

Kagumi asked with a questioning tone while leaning against the wall.

"Aren't we prohibited from going there?" Hikaru's voice, while focusing on the video game she is playing.

"That's right, isn't it? When something is forbidden, it becomes more fun to do."

Kagumi's said while staring at the ceiling.

"What if the monster there, is real?" Alice said with a hint of fear on her face.

"Do you believe in monsters?"

Kagumi said, laughing loudly, clearly teasing Alice.

After they finished talking,Yasu went out, and he immediately said.

"I have something to do in my home."

"What are you going to do there?"

Kagumi's question was spoken with a hint of surprise.

"It's up to you"

Yasu said, and then left.

"Tomorrow, Yasu, let's all just meet here!"

Kagumi shouted at Yasu with a mix of excitement.

While the four of them were watching television, Yasu, who was at their house, continued reading a book until a day passed, and now it was the day they had been waiting for—the camping trip to the private place.

[PHASE THREE] CAMPING

"Is everyone here now?"

Hikaru's voice as she organizes her things

"Where is Yasu?"

Kagumi asked them while looking around.

"I don't know; maybe he won't join."

Hikaru said with a hint of sadness on her face.

"He's on the bus",

Dave said softly while pointing at the bus and eating chips.

They all looked at the bus together.

"You're so excited, Yasu!"

Kagumi said loudly while walking towards the car.

Yasu just glanced at them for a few seconds and then turned his gaze back to the book he was reading.

While they were bringing in the things, Hikaru loudly told Yasu,

"Aren't you going to help us?"

while Yasu doesn't care about his surroundings.

You can clearly see the annoyance on Hikaru's face.

Kagumi said,

"Just let him be, Hikaru," and then laughed loudly.

After they finished what they were doing, the bus driver started the vehicle.

"Old man, how many hours do you think it will take us to get there?" Kagumi's question to the bus driver

"Maybe around five to six hours."

The bus driver spoke while looking at the road.

"Ahh, thank you".

Kagumi said while leaning on his chair.

While the others are sleeping in their seats due to the long journey, Yasu continues reading a book.

And finally, after a long journey, they finally arrived at their destination.

"Wake up,"

the bus driver said, while waking up the four.

"¿Ah? Old man, what time is it?"

Kagumi asked while stretching out his hand.

"It's already six in the evening," the bus driver said while looking at Kagumi.

"Ahhh, okay, old man, just wait for us here." We'll go home when the sun rises."

Kagumi's shout while grabbing the things.

"Oh, you bring this, Yasu,"

Hikaru said to Yasu with an annoyed expression.

"What is wrong with these two always fighting?"

Alice exclaimed as she stood up from her seat.

"Let's go out now,"

Kagumi said while carrying the items.

"Look for a good spot,"

Hikaru said while carrying a bag.

"There, it looks nice over there,"

Yasu said while pointing to a flat area surrounded by large tree

"Let's go!"

While Dave and Kagumi were setting up the tent, Hikaru and Alice were starting a fire to cook.

Hikaru turned to Yasu, who was once again doing nothing but reading a book.

"Damn it, can't you contribute anything?" Hikaru said with an annoyed expression.

"Ahahaha", Alice laughed while looking at Hikaru.

"Why are you annoyed with Yasu, Hikaru?" Alice asked while looking at Yasu, who was focused on reading.

"¿Eh? You asked, Who wouldn't get annoyed with him? He doesn't contribute anything to our group! Even just helping to set up the tent,"

Hikaru said, clearly hinting at Yasu while holding her waist.

Yasu just glanced at them and then turned his gaze back to what he was reading.

"Oh, did you see that? It's obvious he can hear us, but he's pretending not to, right?" Hikaru's expression was a mix of annoyance and irritation.

Alice just laughed at Hikaru and put down the frying pan.

"Give me the garlic, Alice,"

Hikaru said while stirring the dish she was cooking.

An hour passed, and Kagumi and Dave finished setting up the tent.

On the other hand, Hikaru and Alice have also finished cooking.

And Yasu is still not done with what he's reading.

"Yasu! Let's eat!"

Kagumi called out to him while eating.

After a few minutes, they all finished eating.

They are getting ready to sleep while

Dave, Kagumi, and Yasu are in the same tent, while Alice and Hikaru are together in another tent.

"I need to pee outside first,"

said Yasu while opening the tent.

Kagumi just looked at him and went back to sleep.

A few minutes have passed, and when Kagumi opened his eyes, Yasu was still not there.

He was already wondering, so he woke up Dave.

"Dave, Dave, wake up,"

Kagumi whispered softly.

Dave's eyes widened.

"Why, Kagumi, what do you need?"

Dave asked, closing his eyes again.

"Damn it, wake up already; let's find Yasu; he hasn't come back yet." Meanwhile, tapping Dave's face.

"¿Eh? Come on, let's go",

Dave said while getting up together.

As they stepped out, they looked around but couldn't see Yasu, so the two of them went to Alice and Hikaru.

"Hikaru!"

Kagumi called from outside their sleeping quarters, and Hikaru opened the tent and said, "Why?"

"What do you need?" said Hikaru, peeking out, clearly still sleepy.

"Yasu seems to be missing".

Kagumi's speech was mixed with nervousness.

So Hikaru's mind was quickly stirred, and she said, "What do you mean, how did you know?" Hikaru's worried tone

"Ehh, because earlier Yasu said he just needed to pee, but he hasn't come back yet," Kagumi said hurriedly.

"Ahh, give me the flashlight, Alice; let's go together,"

And she said

"Let's find him!"

While they were searching they reached the dense part of the forest, and Dave illuminated a person with his flashlight.

"Guys, that looks like Yasu",

Dave said as they all turned to the dark cave because there was a figure standing like a shadow of a person.

"Come on, let's go"

They walked slowly towards the cave.

"Yasu! Yasu!"

Kagumi's call to the person standing in the cave.

"Why was he not moving?!"

And as they walked closer to the cave, they saw Yasu standing there and called out his name.

"Yasu, what are you doing here?" Kagumi spoke with a puzzled expression.

"Shhhh! quiet"

Yasu's answer hints at something going on around.

"Just be quiet. Do you hear any noise?" Yasu asked them.

"What noise are you talking about?"

"You keep going out, thinking you're so important." Hikaru said with a hint of anger.

"Huh? Who do you think was really worried when I said Yasu was missing—wasn't it you, Hikaru?"

"You didn't even wear slippers; you came here barefoot because you were in a hurry." Kagumi said that it was obvious he's teasing Hikaru and then laughed.

"Yes, that's right, she's really worried about you, Yasu."

Alice spoke sharply and looked at Hikaru with a piercing gaze.

"¡Ahhh! You guys are so annoying! I'm going back."

Just as Hikaru was about to turn around to leave, Yasu called out to him.

"Ahhh wait, wear my shoes; there are many thorns on the road; you might get hurt." Yasu said, then took off his shoes and handed them to Hikaru.

You could clearly see the excitement on Hikaru's face when Yasu handed him his shoes.

Dave and Kagumi, on the other hand, are hugging and jumping for joy.

While Alice is laughing.

"Huh? How about you? What will you wear?" Hikaru's voice was filled with concern.

"Ahh, I'm okay! It's no problem if I get hurt as long as you don't." Yasu spoke in a soft voice, staring at Hikaru.

Hikaru blushed after Yasu said that.

" Ahem,Ahem,"

said their three companions while laughing.

After Hikaru put on Yasu's shoes, they were about to leave when they suddenly heard a loud moan.

"¿Eh? What is that?!"

They said it together with surprise and a bit of fear.

"That's exactly what I'm talking about—the noise I mentioned to you."

"Earlier, when I was urinating, I heard a noise coming from this cave, so I went to check."

Yasu recounted in a soft voice.

"What could that be?" Kagumi's Speech

"Should we go and look?" Yasu said while complaining about the noise.

" yah!"

"Come on, it seems like the noise is coming from that direction." They both started looking for where the noise they were hearing was coming from until they saw a figure with its back turned.

"What is that?" Dave spoke in a soft voice while holding Kagumi's shirt.

"Shhh! Just be quiet." Yasu said while he was the one on the front.

When the monster with a terrifying appearance and sharp claws suddenly turned around.

Because of what they all saw, they didn't hesitate to run out of the cave.

"Hey, let go of me, Dave!" Kagumi shouted while Dave was holding onto Kagumi's clothes, which was why he couldn't run properly.

"Damn it,"

while Yasu and Hikaru were holding hands and running together.

"What is that? That's so unfair, Yasu!." Kagumi shouted as the five of them ran through the forest.

" Hey! Alice"

Kagumi also held Alice's hand.

And looked into her eyes, Alice's face blushed, and she also held Kagumi's hand tightly.

"Hey, what about me?" Dave's line while holding his chips tightly that he's breathless from running

[PHASE TWO] FOREST

While they were running, they were about to reach the bus they had boarded when Yasu shouted, "Old man, open this!"

While the five of them were outside the bus, they called the bus driver.

"¡señor! Open the door."

The bus driver immediately opened the door, and they got in.

"Why, what's happening to all of you?" asked the bus driver with a look of confusion and concern on his face while sitting in the driver's seat.

"¡Hoo! hoo! hoo! " the sound because of the pants running.

"Let me drink water first." Dave said while he was out of breath.

"What happened to all of you that you're all sweating?" The bus driver asked curiously.

"Ahhh! Earlier, we saw a monster." Yasu exclaimed breathlessly while sitting in the passenger seat.

A shock and fear on their faces is so clear.

"What monster are you talking about?" The bus driver's expression with a pinch on the face

"The monster in this place is real." Kagumi said with a hint of fear on his face.

While they're having a conversation

After a few more minutes, they heard the monster's growl outside.

The terrifying moan, they all turned silent just to escape the monster.

"What is that?" The bus driver asked in a soft voice.

"Shhhhhh," said Kagumi while lying down so he wouldn't be seen through the car window.

"Don't make noise; that monster has sharp hearing." Yasu whispered while lying down.

While the monster continues to circle outside the vehicle

The six of them are still quiet inside.

In the extreme silence, even the slightest sound they make could put them in danger.

When Dave suddenly farted loudly, it caused the monster outside to hear it.

"Sorry guys," "I can't hold it back anymore." Dave said his face was scrunched up because of a stomach ache.

"Damn it! really,! " They all looked at Dave at the same time!

"It still stinks! You farted!"

Because of the noise the monster heard, it jumped onto the roof of their vehicle.

and slowly destroying the bus roof.

"Old man, drive the car!" Yasu shouted in a hurry.

The bus driver hurriedly drove the vehicle.

while the monster was still above them and tore the roof of the vehicle.

The bus driver sped up and suddenly stopped, causing the monster to be thrown from the roof of their vehicle.

After that, the bus driver started the vehicle again while the monster slowly emerged from behind them.

The five of them were just watching the monster, which was far from them, slowly getting up from lying down, when it suddenly ran towards them quickly. Before the monster could reach them, they noticed that it was really fast.

"Wow, he's so fast!" Kagumi shouted with a mix of fear.

"Is it impossible to increase the speed of this vehicle, Old Man?" Yasu asked the bus driver while looking at the monster chasing them.

"Sorry, this is the fastest the car can go", the old man replied while driving, clearly scared of the monster.

"Uncle, where is this going?" Hikaru asked with a hint of curiosity while looking around.

"¿Eh? Ay, darn it, I didn't know this would turn into this way!" shout of the old man while driving

Due to a mix of fear and losing his composure, the bus driver forgot the way, and instead of going out of the forest, he ended up going deeper into it.

They are unable to turn around since the monster is pursuing them from behind; their only option is to keep driving and bide their time till daybreak.

"What time is it now, old man?" Kagumi asked the bus driver while sitting in the vehicle's seat.

"It's already nine," the old man replied, while his voice trembling.

While the old man is driving the bus, the others are resting in their respective seats.

[Yasu-POV]

"I can't take my eyes off the monster chasing us; I'm really amazed by it."

"The book is really true, after all."

"The book I always read, the Project X."

"It is true what is written in the book that the strength of a Genra cannot be compared to any being in this world."

"Speed of a cheetah, strength of a gorilla, and the tough skin of a bull."

"But why the writer didn't write where Genra's regeneration ability came from?"

"I asked myself while looking at the monster."

"I looked around and observed the resting friends; they seemed tired from tonight. A real nightmare"

I shifted my gaze back to the monster when I saw it running even faster until it reached our vehicle, causing my companions to wake up.

The monster attacked again, and because of the force of its push on our vehicle, we crashed into a large tree, causing us to lose consciousness. When I woke up, I saw my companions still unconscious and bleeding.

I went to Hikaru and woke her up, "Hikaru! ¡Hikaru! "

I shouted at her until she woke up.

"¡Ahhh! What happened!" She told me when she regained consciousness.

"Wake the others, and I'll check on the old man!"

I told her because I was sure the old man was in serious condition since the front part of the vehicle was more affected because it hit the tree.

Hikaru immediately woke the others up, and I went to the bus driver!

"What happened? Hikaru?!!" Kagumi's said after he gained consciousness.

When I became aware, I looked at the driver's seat and saw that the old man was gone, so I immediately told them!

"¡Guys! The old man is missing."

I can still clearly see the shock on their faces.

"What? Maybe he was eaten by a monster!" Alice's voice was trembling with fear.

"Why did we even come to this place?" Alice's scream

"Because of you, Yasu, if only you hadn't put us in this situation!" Alice spoke with anger and fear evident on her face.

I can't do anything about it because it was really my idea to come to this place. I told myself.

"That's enough!!!!!!!!" Hikaru shouted in frustration, "This is not the time for blaming! If we want to survive, let's think of a way and take action!" Hikaru's words gave me strength.

"Yes, enough with the drama!" Kagumi spoke while holding Alice's hand.

"I'll check if the car is still running!"

I told them, while walking out the car door, I looked at the car engine, and since there was no major damage, I think it's still good to go.

"Here, it looks like the vehicle will start!"

I shouted and told them, but they just looked at me.

Then I got into the car and said "it looks like the car will work." Does anyone here know how to drive? "

They just sat in the car seats and looked out the window.

I haven't received an answer to my question.

So I know what this means; none of them know how to drive.

"Hey!!!!" I shouted at them! You, Kagumi, do you know how to drive?"

"No, sorry, I didn't," he said while scratching his head.

"Dave?" Kagumi asked him,

I told them while preparing to sit in the driver seat.

"I was probably around 7 years old then." I told them while starting the vehicle's engine.

"That's outrageous! 7 years old and already knows how to drive!" Kagumi spoke with curiosity.

"Yeah, I was with my mom at the mall then". I said to them

"What do you mean by "at the mall"?

"Don't say it's the one the kids ride?" "at the mall with small vehicles?"

Kagumi's speech, filled with tears

"Exactly!!! Why is there a problem?" I told them along with the sound of the car engine already starting.

"Well, it's better to die at the hands of your friend than to be devoured by a terrifying monster," Kagumi said.

"¡Hahahahaha!" We just laughed to forget the danger that was right around us.
