I can't see anything! Oh! And Ray has surely organized a surprise for tonight.Rita

When Ricky's grandmother tries to spruce herself up and accidentally glues her eyes shut, Ricky guides her on a risky journey to find help.

The episode begins at the reef village where Ray is getting ready for his wedding anniversary with Rita. While getting himself clean by the cleaner fish, he tells Ricky, Sammy, and Ella about how he met Rita by rescuing her from being imprisoned by a fishing net. While Ricky is intrigued by the story, Ella asks her grandfather if that really happened. Sammy, who never gets to meet Rita while he was traveling around the world until after he was reunited with Ray many years ago and thus he didn't witness how Ray met his wife, tells his granddaughter that Ray more or less is telling the truth and he knows how his best friend always somewhat embellishes the truth whenever he's telling his tales. Ray tells Ricky that he has an incredible surprise for Rita for their wedding anniversary later that night.

Meanwhile, after Rita retrieves a "fluorescent seaweed cream eye make-up" from César, she is getting ready at her den by applying it to her eyelids. However, after applying it, she realizes that her "cream eye make-up" is actually a paste which makes her eyes glued shut and she's unable to open them again, thus rendering her blind. Outside her home, Ricky is telling Pipo and Annabel about his grandfather's story in an exaggerated way, which Ella teases him for being just like his grandfather for always embellishing the truth, but Ricky doesn't get it and tells her that he never lie. Just then, the kids all heard Rita's crying for help from inside the habitat and they all get in to see a blind Rita. Ricky tells his grandmother that Ray has "an incredible surprise" for her for their wedding anniversary later tonight but because Rita has the sticky paste on her eyes which Ella is unable to help pull her eyes back open, Ricky suggests that he knows a place "where [they] can get [the] stuff off fast" and he leads his grandmother out of their home.

The kids guide Rita to the passageway to get outside the reef, but when the kids are a few miles away from Rita to prevent her from hearing them, Ella asks Ricky where he's taking them and Ricky informs his friends that they're secretly going to take Rita to the Tank that's outside the reef village. However, both Pipo and Ella didn't like his idea since the Tank is way too far for them to go and it is very dangerous for them to get there. But Ricky tells them that it's the only solution left since he thinks the humans there could "always take care of fish when they have a problem". Ella asks her best friend why he couldn't just tell Rita the truth and keeps it secret from her, but Ricky tells her that otherwise, she'd never accepted to follow them out of the reef. The kids guide Rita through the passageway and they all get outside the reef together.
