episode 1

The palace-Y/n's room

"I've spent my life surrounded by walls and whispers. Every day feels the same—stifling, endless, like a cage." (She sighs, closing her diary and looking outside at the distant forest.) "I wonder what lies beyond the woods."

Queen Akari

"Y/n, my dear, don't lose yourself in daydreams. Your engagement to Prince Kael is in two weeks. You have responsibilities."

Princess Y/n

(mutters under her breath) "Responsibilities I never asked for."

(Late at night, Y/n sneaks out of the palace, wearing a hooded cloak. She tiptoes past the guards and enters the forest.)

Princess Y/n

Thinking) "They say the forest is haunted, filled with spirits who lure humans to their doom. But I can't stay in that palace anymore... even if it means risking everything." (The wind howls, and eerie whispers fill the air.)

Mysterious Voice

(soft, teasing) "Lost, little princess?"

(Startled, Y/n spins around, clutching her cloak tightly. A figure steps out from the shadows, golden hair glinting faintly in the moonlight. His eyes glow with a mischievous light.)

Princess Y/n

"Who—who are you? Show yourself!"

Mikey

(grinning) "I’m the spirit of these woods. And you, princess, have wandered where you shouldn’t. Don’t you know these trees are alive?"

(The trees seem to rustle ominously as Mikey gestures. Y/n takes a cautious step back.)

Princess Y/n

(defiant) "Then maybe I’m here to meet them. I’d rather face ghosts than a life in that prison of a palace."

Mikey

(laughing softly) "Brave... or foolish. Either way, you’re interesting. I might just keep you."

(Y/n stands her ground, glaring at Mikey as his laughter fades.)

Princess Y/n

"I’m not a thing to be kept. Who are you to decide my fate?"

Mikey

(tilts his head, intrigued) "You’ve got fire in you, princess. But this forest isn’t kind to intruders. If you want to stay alive, you’ll need me. I can guide you... for a price."

Princess Y/n

"What’s the price?"

Mikey

(smirking) "A promise. One day, you’ll owe me a favor. No questions asked."

(Y/n hesitates, then nods firmly.)

Princess Y/n

"Fine. Deal. But you’d better not trick me."

Mikey

(grinning wider) "I wouldn’t dream of it."

(As they walk deeper into the woods, Y/n notices strange lights dancing in the trees and hears faint, melodic singing.)

Princess Y/n

(looking around) "This place... it’s beautiful and terrifying."

Mikey

"That’s the way of the forest. It’s alive, just like you and me. But beware, princess—beauty can be deadly."

Episode 2

(Y/n follows Mikey deeper into the forest, struggling to keep up as he moves with an almost otherworldly grace.)

Princess Y/n

(panting) "Do you ever slow down? Not all of us can float through trees!"

Mikey

(glancing back with a smirk) "Complaining already, princess? We’ve barely started. You wanted freedom, didn’t you?"

Princess Y/n

(glaring) "Freedom doesn’t mean running for my life!"

(The forest grows darker, with glowing fungi and strange, shifting shadows. Y/n hesitates as a low growl echoes nearby.)

Princess Y/n

"What was that?"

Mikey

(calmly) "A warning. The forest isn’t fond of strangers. Stick close, or you might not make it to sunrise."

(A shadow darts past, and Y/n instinctively grabs Mikey’s arm.)

Mikey

(teasing) "Scared already? Don’t worry, princess. You’ve got me."

(Mikey leads Y/n to a hidden glade surrounded by glowing flowers and shimmering water. Fireflies dance in the air, creating a serene atmosphere.)

Princess Y/n

(in awe) "This place… it’s like something out of a dream."

Mikey

(smiling softly) "It’s one of the few places the forest doesn’t touch with its darkness. You’ll be safe here—for now."

(As Y/n explores, she notices strange carvings on the trees and stones.)

Princess Y/n

"What are these symbols?"

Mikey

(serious) "They’re wards. Protection against the Shade."

Princess Y/n

"The Shade?"

Mikey

"An old enemy of the forest… and of me. If it finds out you’re here, it won’t stop until it destroys you."

(Y/n’s expression hardens, determination replacing her fear.)

Princess Y/n

"Then I’ll fight it."

Mikey

(chuckling) "Brave words. Let’s hope you can back them up, princess."

(Night falls, and Mikey vanishes, leaving Y/n alone in the glade. She hears faint footsteps and turns to see a young girl with brown hair and piercing green eyes stepping out of the shadows.)

Princess Y/n

(startled) "Who are you? How did you find me?"

Shiori

(calmly) "My name is Shiori. I live in these woods. I’ve been watching you since you entered."

Princess Y/n

"Watching me? Why?"

Shiori

(cryptically) "Because the forest has chosen you. But that doesn’t mean it will protect you."

(Before Y/n can ask more, Shiori turns and walks away, disappearing into the shadows as quickly as she came.)

(Mikey returns, finding Y/n deep in thought.)

Mikey

"You met her, didn’t you?"

Princess Y/n

"Shiori? Who is she? She said the forest chose me."

Mikey

(grimly) "Shiori’s… complicated. She’s not your enemy, but don’t trust her too easily. She’s lost much to this forest."

(He pauses, his usual smirk replaced by a rare moment of seriousness.)

Mikey

"And if the forest really has chosen you, princess… you’re in far more danger than you realize."

Episode 3

(The glade is silent, but Y/n struggles to sleep. The faint glow of the flowers casts eerie shadows on the trees. Mikey sits nearby, leaning casually against a tree, watching the darkness with a sharp gaze.)

Princess Y/n

(sitting up) "Do you ever sleep, or do spirits not need rest?"

Mikey

(smirking) "Rest is for the weak. Besides, someone has to keep an eye on you, princess. You’ve got a knack for attracting trouble."

Princess Y/n

(sighing) "Why do I feel like you’re not telling me something? You’ve been on edge since Shiori appeared."

Mikey

(looking away) "The forest isn’t safe tonight. The Shade stirs when new blood enters its domain."

(Y/n shivers at his words, but her curiosity outweighs her fear.)

Princess Y/n

"What is the Shade, really? You’ve mentioned it, but I need to know what I’m up against."

Mikey

(his tone darkens) "The Shade is a remnant of the forest’s curse. A creature of pure hatred and hunger. It’s not just a spirit—it’s the forest’s wrath. And now, it knows you’re here."

(A sudden, distant growl echoes through the woods. Mikey springs to his feet, his glowing eyes scanning the shadows.)

Mikey

"Stay close. It’s coming."

(The forest darkens unnaturally, the glade’s light dimming as a cold wind blows. Y/n clutches her cloak, heart pounding as a figure emerges from the shadows—a tall, amorphous entity with red, glowing eyes and claws dripping with shadowy mist.)

The shade

(a guttural voice) "The girl… does not belong. Leave her to me, spirit."

Mikey

(stepping in front of Y/n) "She’s under my protection. If you want her, you’ll have to go through me."

(The Shade lunges, its claws slicing through the air. Mikey dodges effortlessly, summoning a glowing blade from thin air. The two clash, sparks flying.)

Princess Y/n

(stunned) "What… what can I do?!"

Mikey

(gritting his teeth) "Stay back! This isn’t your fight!"

(Despite his warning, the Shade turns its attention to Y/n, sensing her fear. Shadows rise from the ground, snaking toward her. Y/n scrambles backward, but she’s quickly surrounded.)

Princess Y/n

(panicked) "Mikey!"

(Mikey glances back, his expression conflicted. He throws his blade, piercing the Shade’s form, but the creature doesn’t falter.)

Mikey

"Use the flowers! Their light repels it!"

(Y/n grabs a glowing flower and thrusts it toward the shadowy tendrils. They hiss and recoil, giving her a chance to escape the circle.)

(Mikey lunges at the Shade, forcing it back with a burst of energy. The creature snarls but retreats into the darkness, its red eyes lingering on Y/n before disappearing.)

Mikey

(breathing heavily) "That was too close."

Princess Y/n

(shaken) "Why did it go after me? I didn’t do anything to it."

Mikey

(grimly) "You’re human. That’s enough for it to hate you. But there’s more to this—why would it attack so soon?"

(He looks at her, suspicion flickering in his eyes, but he doesn’t voice his thoughts.)

(The next morning, Shiori appears at the edge of the glade, her expression serious. She approaches Y/n as Mikey watches from a distance.)

Shiori

"The Shade won’t stop, Y/n. You’ve stepped into a world you don’t understand, and it won’t let you leave so easily."

Princess Y/n

"Then tell me how to fight it. I can’t just run forever."

Shiori

(hesitates, glancing at Mikey) "Fighting it is nearly impossible. The only way to survive is to uncover the truth about why it’s after you."

Mikey

(interrupting) "That’s enough, Shiori. You’ve done your part—leave the rest to me."

Shiori

(narrowing her eyes) "Protect her all you want, Mikey. But you know the forest doesn’t choose lightly. She’ll have to face the truth sooner or later."

(Shiori vanishes into the woods, leaving Y/n with more questions than answers.)

(As the sun sets, Y/n sits by the glade’s edge, lost in thought. Mikey approaches, sitting beside her.)

Princess Y/n

"You knew, didn’t you? That the forest would target me. Why didn’t you tell me?"

Mikey

(after a pause) "Because I thought I could protect you. But the forest… it’s more dangerous than I expected. You’re braver than I gave you credit for, princess."

(He glances at her, a rare flicker of softness in his expression.)

Princess Y/n

"Don’t call me princess. I’m not some helpless damsel waiting to be saved."

Mikey

(grinning) "Fair enough… Y/n."
