I was In a Desolate place, gasping for air, My head hurts as if a million spears had struck me. I was too tired and weak to even feel my own body.

The cold ground of earth held my battered body. Where am I? All I could see was bloodshed and a lot of dead bodies lying everywhere. It took a lot of will but I managed to sit down.

It was only then I notice how awful I looked. My black cloak was torn apart, my combat boots were smeared with mud and dirt. my arms are bleeding both from deep cuts and scratches. I stood up and groaned, I'm pretty sure my ribs are broken and my lungs are badly damaged.

I force myself to walk and check if anyone else is alive except me. There has to be another survivor. But I found no one. I grab my head, trying to stand still as everything spins and my eyesight gets blurry, Then when I was about to collapse, there was a blinding light, shining brighter than the sun. I squint my eyes for a moment before the light turned into a figure of a beautiful lady.

She was wearing a long dress made of gold, her skin was white and her eyes reflect the surroundings like a delicate piece of glass. Her face, I have never seen someone as beautiful as her. Her face was flawless and perfect. She was glowing. Then what happened next was something I was not expecting. The goddess lends her precious hand to me.

"Goddess." I blurted out. "Please help me," I said struggling to speak.

She looked directly into my eyes, her eyes are full of life as she genuinely smiled, "It's my pleasure mortal." Even her voice sounded like a sweet lullaby. It was soft and caring, almost tempting me to close my eyes and forever sleep.

Despite feeling tired, weak, and defeated. Her presence brings an undeniable comfort to me. My voice threatens to break as I force myself to speak more. "Forgive me Goddess but may I ask your name?"

To my surprise, she let out a laugh. It sounded like music in my ears. "My name is Suzune." She said, her lips forming into a huge smile. my knees felt weak. It was like I am melting for those damn smiles. "How about you mortal? Spill your name."

"My name is Haru," I answered. "Goddess Suzune," I repeat her beautiful name which suited her.

Goddess Suzune Gently opened her mouth and spoke, "Mortal would you like to see a place beyond a mortal sight," I was still in a daze and didn't hear what goddess Suzune has spoken, " Pardon My goddess Suzune what did you have said", I answered. The goddess just laughed reluctantly, "what a funny mortal" The goddess Gentle Laugh Have My heart warmed up.

As I was walking towards goddess Suzune, I felt the pain from my injuries as I walk step by step, I was gasping for air, as my lungs are broken, I couldn't see anything clear, as if I was hit by something, my eyesight gets blurry, I fell due to weakness and restlessness, goddess Suzune took a glimpse at me and smiles gently, a faint smile is shown through my awful face, I felt something like someone was carrying me, I saw that goddess Suzune used her magic to bring me into a place that she only knows.

I wake up in trance trying to recall what happened last night, My head felt heavy like a ton of weight was dragging it, I groaned in agony, but the good side is that my wounds don't hurt anymore. I sighed in relief, trying to gather enough strength to get up from the tree, "Ah!" I exclaimed in both disbelief and awe. This is the Tree of life that I was Looking for, I remembered that before we fought in that forceful War. Blood shedding war, I was assigned by the king of our Kingdom Skylar to find this tree of life.

I step back and further examined the astounding tree of life unable to believe that I am actually standing in front of it. The tree is tall, sturdy, and huge. Its roots were deeply nourished as if it's alive. And the leaves are made of crystal, which I'm certain anyone would find attractive and magical. After I examined the Tree of life, I tried to recall my mission however, my memory seems to be fussy due to fatigue and hunger. I haven't eaten anything after I was assigned by the king, I could only recall certain details about my mission.

"Haru." King Natala spoke in a monotone and authoritative voice.

"You have summoned me, my lord". I answered in honor of the king, kneeling down.

"Yes I have summoned you, The Famous Black Mage of the Town Glize, You may Stand up Now, I don't mean to Intimidate you." The King smiled discreetly. I didn't know what that means but somehow it unnerves me.

" I have a special mission for you, only you can do it". The king smiled Wickedly as if He's planning to do something awful.

" What is it my lord also why am I the only person capable to do it?". I frowned secretly and in Confusion.

"Haru you're the only who's capable of doing it, ordinary people can't subdue the curse or the effect of that tree, only gifted people like you can see and get it for me," The king replied.

I looked at him, making sure to listen carefully.

"Haru I'm talking about the mysterious tree of life, it's both blessing and a curse, it can cure people of an unbelievable state, can cure any diseases, it can bring back the dead, also it can grant you powers and it can grant people unbelievable strength, it can make the elders look young, not only for the physical aspect, as well the mind and soul, the curse of that tree is that one touch of the leaves of it can make ordinary people go insane and it can make your soul disperse from your physical body," He continued.

I was surprised yet I didn't let him read my emotions. Instead, I found myself nodding at him. No one can disobey the King. Not even me.

"However people with powers and abilities won't be affected and you Haru is the only one who has powers in the whole kingdom of Skylar, and in your own town, I only need you to get me a bunch of leaves Haru," He stated. with the tone of his voice, I already know that he's not asking me to do it. He's telling me to do it.

"I know it's a tough mission, but I really need the leaves Haru". The king sighed, almost as if he's showing sympathy but the determined look in his eyes told me the otherwise.

"I accept thy mission, my lord, It's my honor to be bestowed with such mission". I replied in full of honor and confidence.

"Do not worry Haru, I'll send my soldiers in your mission to accompany you, also you need to arrive there before dawn comes, understood?" He replied in his cold authoritative voice.

The voices seem to fade away, I tried to recall anything, but to no avail. I spend the whole day to scatter for food and decide to wash in the lake, near from the tree, I take off my clothes and jumps to the lake, I sighed dreamily thinking about goddess Suzune.

"Oh my goddess, where are thou goddess?" I murmured, wondering when I would get to see her again.

Her heavenly aura and angelic face is something I could not get off of my mind. Anywhere I look I imagined her standing there, showing me her brightest smile. For some unknown reason, my heart pounds hard with just the mere thought of her. This is one of those tough times wherein I couldn't understand my own feelings and emotions. I mean, we only met once and I barely know her yet here I am thinking of her like a fool.

I close my eyes and tried my best to stop thinking about her. But then out of nowhere, a sweet and melodic voice spoke.

"Are you thinking of me Haru?"

My eyes flutter open when I heard that. It's the same voice I was longing to hear. Then to confirm my suspicion I saw Goddess Suzune standing near the lake. I blushed in embarrassment. In my mind thinking, " does she heard what I said, I'm such a fool, how could I not think this through" I gets up from the lake to greet the goddess Suzune, when suddenly she screams.

"Mortal what is that thing hanging under you". she closed her eyes in disgust and disbelief.

I couldn't comprehend what was she's talking about until I realize the situation, I was ***** in front of the goddess Suzune.

"Forgive me my goddess Suzune, I didn't mean to let you see me in this state". I quickly dressed up.

"No need mortal because I've brought you new clothes to wear, you don't need to wear that raggy outfit anymore". she replied with her sweet voice, a voice that's music to my ears.

"Thank you so much goddess Suzune". I replied with embarrassment and gratefulness. I quickly dress up and look into my new outfit.

"It's still the same outfit, but it's not raggy looking anymore". I continued speaking.

"Don't be mesmerized mortal, I would love to take you into my moonlight palace, follow me please". she replied with her blissful face and angelic smile.

"It's my pleasure Goddess Suzune". I replied while still blushing from embarrassment, I let out a chuckle.

I followed her through the moonlight palace, I was surprised to what I saw, shining throne, every material of it is shining like a crystal. It's not an actual palace, but a throne in the middle of the forest, surrounded by many trees, moonlight striking under the ground making the Throne standout more. Even the aura of the place seems magical. There are floating crystal beads everywhere illuminating the whole palace. Everything is perfect and beautiful.

"What a beautiful throne you have Goddess Suzune." I breathe.

Goddess Suzune, "Haru wake up", I heard a voice calling out to me. "Haru wakes up". the voice seems to be trembling now. When I woke up, I was in the classroom with strangers.

"There you are the sleepyhead," she said while smiling gently and her eyes full excitement.

"Who are you?, why am I here? where is goddess Suzune?" I replied with hesitation and confusion. I waved off her hand on my head.

"Haru, are you okay, don't you remember us?" she asked while looking very confused. Disappointment is visible through her forest-like eyes.

"Goddess Suzune? I didn't know such person Haru, also why can't recognize us?" She said. "I'm Sune, your childhood friend."

" And the guy with the hoodie on and headphones around the neck is Ichiro Yukimura, your best friend". She continued.

I looked at them in confusion and doubtfulness.

"I don't know you, mortals, Don't lie to me, hypocrites," I replied in disgust, glaring at them. "Don't follow me around". I continued while smirking at them.

I leave the classroom and head to the forest. I scanned the surrounding in an attempt to find Goddess Suzune, I groaned in vain, I couldn't find Goddess Suzune. I heard footsteps and screeching in the bush.

"I said stop following me, I don't know you Mortals so stop following me wherever I go". I said while groaning.

"Haru, we're your best friends, How could we leave you alone in the woods? Besides Ochito and I are the only people in your life that care about you since your parents passed away years ago" Sune said with sympathy visible in her eyes.

"That's right Haru, we're your friends so don't blame us for following you and don't be angry at us" The guy named Ichiro replied, sighing.

"Mortals? Haru are you nuts? Aren't you human to call us Mortals?" He said.

"Haru what's gotten in your head recently? maybe you stay all night in your home, that's why you went insane". Sune said in disbelieve while chuckling.

"Haru, are you all right? what did you say earlier in the classroom? Goddess what?" Ichiro paused for a moment and continued. "What era are you on? There's no such thing as Goddess. They don't exist in the real world, Haru makes up your mind. Don't believe in superstitious things alright?" Ichiro said in disbelief while smiling wickedly. Weird.

I was shocked, I was still in a daze, I couldn't believe what's happening, I was mistaken as a someone I'm not. I was dumbfounded, I couldn't comprehend anything at all, It doesn't make any sense, Then I looked down at my clothes,

What on earth am I wearing? where is my black cloak? My combat boot? My breastplate? It's all gone.

"Mortals, don't fool me, Indeed my name is Haru, but I'm not the Haru you've talked about," I said in a grievance. How dare they try to fool me.

"Mortals, you've said my mother died?"I asked in anger, grabbing the guy by the neck. "What have you've done for my mother!? I won't let anyone live if my mother died or been beaten, I will kill everyone I see to avenge my mother." I said in madness. This is driving me crazy.

"Haru! I c-can't breathe let me go, please! Haru calm down! I swear we're not the one who killed your mother." He replied while gasping for air.

"Haru let him go please!". She said while looking at my eyes in despair for sympathy.

I released him, He cough terribly choking.

"Haru are you crazy? why did you grab him by the neck? He's your best friend! How could you do that!" Sune is exhilarating in anger and disappointment.

"I'm o-okay Sune." Ichiro tried to smile. "Don't shout at Haru, He didn't mean it. Maybe he's just sensitive to that matter." He said sighing and coughing a bit more.

"Funny mortals, such nuisance". I smirked.

I snapped my finger and later on, they both fell to the ground. I vanished into the thick air of dark smoke, I wait and watch in the dark. When they woke up, The two of them look around, trying to recall what happened, but to no avail, their efforts are in vain.
