Untouched Love
New commers in dull life
A small, cozy house in Del Mar, California.
Young Noel, her mother Rosa, and Father Mark.
Rosa, out of breath, is waving a finger in the air while scolding Noel
Rosa
Noel, you can’t just keep running around like this! 😮💨
Noel
Catch me if you can, Mom!😉
Mark, in the background, shakes his head and smiles softly, saying,
Mark
Let her be, Rosa. She’ll grow up, eventually🥰
A town eerily quite and calm
Noel
I cant stand it , the world is just ...... frozen . And here I am stuck in a house that feels way too small😞
Phone rings in the kitchen
Rosa
"Hi Jwell, how have you been??? Hows your family ?? You wanna come over "
Jwell
" We are not okay !! This isolation is scary as my Arnold is still eight months !! You told that Mr. Samuel wants tenant so we are planning to move there "
Noel
Wow Aunt Jwell is coming 🤩
Rosa
Sometimes, when everything around us changes, we find a someone to alter our lives
Noel
How much everything changes Mom !! After 10 years she is coming back 😢
Finally after two day Jwell His husband Robert and baby Arnold arrived
This interaction and new people changed Noel's life
Noel
Robert ! Is that you ?
The Back Porch Reflection
Noel
Aunt Jwell!” she shouts, a wide grin breaking out on her face.
Jwell steps out of the car, holding a baby in her arms. She looks tired but smiles warmly at Noel. Robert stands beside her, carrying bags, looking calm and composed.
The two women embrace, the connection feeling both familiar and distant
Noel
You look like you haven’t slept in days. Being a mom is tough, huh?
Jwell
Yeah, but it’s worth it
Noel and Jwell are standing at the stove, chopping vegetables. Jwell’s face shows the weight of time and responsibility, while Noel watches her curiously.
Noel
You’ve changed so much. You’re not the same aunt I used to know
Jwell
Life changes us, Noel. But the love stays the same.
Noel
I guess I miss the way things used to be.
The two of them work in silence, the shared bond of family hanging in the air, unspoken but deeply felt.
The back porch at night, under a starlit sky.
Noel and Jwell sit together on the porch, the quiet of the night surrounding them. The stars twinkle above, and a gentle breeze rustles the trees.
Noel breaks the silence
Noel
You know, when you got married, I felt like you were leaving me behind. It wasn’t just you… everything felt different after that
Jwell looks at Noel, her face filled with a mixture of understanding and regret
Jwell
I never meant to leave you behind. But sometimes, life just pulls us in different directions
Noel gazes at the stars, her voice quiet.
Noel
I know. It’s just hard to see things change so much.
Jwell places a hand on Noel’s shoulder, a gesture of reassurance
Jwell
Some things stay the same. Family. Love. Those things don’t change, no matter how much time passes.
Noel
Maybe things change, but that doesn’t mean we lose each other
Jwell
You’ve grown up, haven’t you?
Noel
Maybe... but I think I’m starting to understand the things that really matter
Next encounter Noel and Robert
Bonds in the Time of Lockdown
Afternoon in the living room. Noel sits cross-legged on the floor, playing with Arnold as he giggles, stacking and knocking down blocks. Robert is at his desk, earbuds in, staring intently at his laptop screen. The sound of typing fills the air
Noel
(glances at Robert) Hey, Robert. Busy day?
Robert
(pauses, pulling out one earbud) Always. But nothing I can’t handle. What about you? Arnold keeping you on your toes?
Noel
(laughs) Always. But he’s the best boss I’ve ever had. (smiles down at Arnold, who squeals) What’s next on the agenda, buddy?
Arnold babbles incoherently, making both Noel and Robert laugh.
Robert
I think he said “nap,” but I could be wrong.
Noel
(grinning) You’re an optimist.
The room falls into a comfortable silence. Noel picks up a fallen block, glancing back at Robert, who’s now typing again.
Noel
(casually) Do you ever feel... stuck?
Robert pauses mid-typing, looking at her thoughtfully
Robert
Stuck? Yeah, sometimes. Why do you ask?
Noel
(shrugs) I guess it’s just... this whole pandemic. Feels like the world’s hit pause, you know? But also like it’s moving too fast for me to catch up.
Robert
(nods, leaning back in his chair) I get that. It’s like... you’re running on a treadmill. You’re moving, but you’re not really going anywhere.
Arnold lets out a loud squeal, interrupting the moment. Noel picks him up and bounces him on her la
Noel
You’re not stuck, are you? You’ve got all the time in the world to figure it out.
Robert
smiling) That’s the thing about being young. You’ve got time, Noel. More than you think.
Noel
(pauses, then looks at him seriously) But what about you? What do you want to do when... all this is over?
Robert
(sighs, running a hand through his hair) Honestly? I want to build something of my own. A business, maybe. Real estate. Construction. I’m good at what I do, but... I want more.
Robert
Big dreams need big risks. And I haven’t taken enough of those. Not yet.
Noel
You will. I can tell. You’re not the kind of person to settle.
Robert’s eyes meet hers, a quiet gratitude in his gaze.
Robert
Thanks, Noel. That means a lot.
Weeks later, the living room. Noel and Robert sit across from each other, sipping coffee as Arnold naps in his crib
Noel
You know, you’re like the big brother I never knew I needed.
Robert
(surprised, then touched) And you’re like the little sister I never got to annoy.
Noel
I’ll take that as a compliment.
They laugh, the bond between them unspoken but deeply felt. The pandemic had brought many uncertainties, but in the midst of it, they had found something certain—a connection, a shared understanding, a quiet friendship that would endure
