Upon

hearing about Carrie's promotion Jonah and Alana made reservations at a fancy

restaurant to surprise her. “Why am I blindfold protested Carrie. "It's a

secret whispered, Jonah as he held her wrist and directed her to Alana's White

Mercedes parked on the side of the street. Alana pushed open the passenger door

while Jonah helped Carrie inside the car. Carrie worked for the New-York

Rangers for four-years before becoming co-manager.  She quite liked the

guys they're a rowdy bunch but genuine. They never once tried to sexual

harass her nor do anything inappropriate. A couple minutes later Alana's

white Mercedes was flying down Canal Street then turned left on Maiden lane. A

short time later, they arrived at Carrabba Italian House. "We have arrived

said Alana. Unbuckling her seat belt, she exited the car and made her toward

the restaurant first.

Carrie

Clearwater has been with the New York Rangers for five-years strong. Carrie

Clearwater is a twenty- nine- years old, who she lives alone in a cozy two-bedroom,

condo off on harbor heights. “Why do I have to be blind folded for?” “Because

then then a quick turn to Maiden Road. A short time later, they arrived at

Carrabba Italian House. "We have arrived said, Alana as she unbuckled her

seat belt. Alana exited the car and made her toward the restaurant first.

helped Carried out the car since he still had her blindfolded. “Don’t let me

fall said Carrie as she held on tighter to Jonah’s arm. “You’re in good hands

said Jonah.  Jonah takes off Carrie's

blindfold after they entered the restaurant. The place was indeed fancy, live

piano music was been played. A giant Greek painting of an elderly woman holding

up a Hawaiian pizza with a big smile on her face. Mahogany color tables and

mahogany color chairs to match with a single pink rose in the middle of the

table. The waitresses were dressed in white dress shirts, black slacks, with

white aprons tied over the pants. Everyone was dressed in formal wear, from

designer suits to fancy dresses. "While Carrie was admiring the

restaurant, the blonde waitress was already ushering them to their reserved

table. "I’ll be back with your menus shortly said the blonde, curvy

waitress as she leaves in search of the menus. Jonah pulls out Carrie's seat

. As

Carrie sits down, she says to Jonah, thank you. Jonah winks at Carrie and takes

his seat a across from her. Jonah pulls out Alana’s

chair before taking his own across from them. “You’re being a gentleman, that's

a shocker said, Alana. “She has been wanting this career upgrade for the

longest said Jonah. “Her hard work finally paid off said. “It was long over-due

order asked Alana. Alana wore a red Fendi printed dress with red bottoms to

match with 14-carat diamond studs’ earrings. Alana was an Indiana beauty,

chestnut color eyes, and jet-black hair pulled back in a ponytail. She had full

lips, a small nose, and she had outstanding fashion taste. “I’m ready when

you’re Alana.” “Ready to order now then said as Alana signals for a waitress to

come to our table. The blonde hair waitress from before stops at our table. She

then places three black menus on the table, and then she pulls a yellow notepad out

her apron. “My name is Ella and I will be your server this evening." “What

can I get you three asked Ella?

Carrie opens the menu and her eyes almost pop out her

eye socket. Involtino di MANZO Con Spugnole, Cipolline e Nocciole was 59

dollars and that was the lunch price. Hundred sixty-four dollars per guest

includes five courses. So, she would choose the lunch special since you get a

three-course lunch of your choice and it was cheaper than the Dinner special.

This meal was going to break her, Carrie sighed. She was a cheapskate that's

how she was able to always have money saved she never went over her limit of

takeout. She didn't spend a hundred dollars on a meal she could cook at home.

She was an excellent cook. Closing

the expensive menu back Carrie shakes her head she had no idea why she

willingly followed her friends to this overpriced restaurant."Are you ready to order said Alana. "No, you can order first." Alana looks at the waitress and recites her order.

chilled over ice said, Alana. "Ricotta-Lemon-Artichoke Agnolotti and

Pistachio Flan with Milk Chocolate Gelato for dessert said, Alana. After she

finished ordering Alana looks over Carrie. “What are you getting Alana asked Carrie?”

“Chicken Involtini and Chocolate Polenta Souffle for dessert said, Carrie.”

“I'll have the Seafood Board with extra gribiche sauce and chocolate duffle for

dessert said, Jonah.” They had to be joking Carrie thought. They’re picking the

most expensive items on the damn menu. After the waitress writes down our order

and leaves. Jonah smiles at me. “You dyed your hair recently he asked. Carrie

touches her unnoticeable lighter color hair. “Yes, I dyed it a bit, to it’s

still blonde but lighter.” “But how did you know ask Carrie. “I pay a lot attention

to detail responded Jonah. “Plus, you posted on snapchat that you highlighted

your hair.” “Oh, I did.  A couple of minutes later their food was brought to

the table and Carrie’s mouth began to water as the delicious smell drifted

toward her nose.

“Let me know if you might want something else and with those

words, the Elsa left. “The food looks wonderful remarked Jonah. Then he took a

sip of San Felice, Chianti Classico 2011 the cold liquid sliding down his

throat. Jonah turns towards Alana you have good taste sweetie.” Dapping her

mouth with a napkin Alana winks at Jonah. “Don’t I always recommend the best

things.” Precisely how are you going get those aggression meatheads to listen

to you asked Alana.” “They’ll listen or get punished by me said Carrie.” “Good

luck then.” “Because I don’t know how you do it.” “I have a question said Alana.

“What is it?” “How do you look at those hot, hockey players every day without

wanting to bone one of them.” “She already boned one that’s why said Jonah.

“Who?" Jonah looked at Carrie.” “The tall, bulky dude with the dark eyes. “Oh Gator, he’s

fine said Alana. “He got a nice ass, and nice body.” Carrie whipped her head

around at Alana's comment. “How the heck does you know that asked Carrie. Alana takes a

sip of her drink before answering. “Remember the day, I got wasted and you let

me stay over?” “I remember that.” “I left out the guest room and got went got some water, and Gator was going back inside your room." " He had on tight boxers and I happen to look when i heard your door shut." "Omg, moaned Carrie as she covers her face embarrassed. Jonah chuckles.  "How are you working with him knowing you two used to have a relationship?" Carrie stopped eating her food and  wiped her mouth. "I just don't talk to him alone or be alone with him much." "So I don't get tempted to jump his bones." "Do you still mess around with him asked Alana. "No, I want to but no." "You said before he was the best sex partner you ever had?" "Yeah, however he has commitment issues." They ate in silence for the rest of the meal.

Ella the waitress strolls by the table. “May, I get the bill please asked

Jonah. “Sure, sir the waitress disappeared toward the back. “This was by far

the best meal I ever had said Jonah rubbing his belly.” “I agree with you said

Carrie cleaning her teeth with a tooth pin. “I second that opinion says Alana

as she finishes off her Milk Chocolate Gelato. After Ella came back with the

tab.

Jonah and Alana both reached for the tab at the same time. “I’ll pay for the meal said,

Alana. “No, it’s my treat said Jonah removing Alana’s hand. “Go ahead then, I

won’t stop you said.” Jonah pulls his leather wallet out and takes out a black card.

He slides his card inside the tab without looking at the receipt. “Why didn’t

you look at the receipt asked Alana. Jonah looks to the side at Alana. Alana

was beautiful but then again, her taste in men was horrible. Her currently

boyfriend real estate owner Toby Garden was proof. He was a playboy, and he had

awful taste in music. Jonah disliked the guy and he made sure every time he

meets up with them it showed. Touchy bastard almost kissed his girlfriend in

the mouth when he first met her. That almost got him a black eye, yet Alana had

to jump in and claim it was a simple accident. Jonah thanks the waitress after

she brings back his card. “Let’s go ladies says Jonah as he pushes his chair

back.

Carrie was laughing at a joke the manager of Tampa Bay Lighting said when one the guys on the team came rushing toward her with a jittery expression on his face. The smile on Carrie’s face disappears as blue-eyed baby face Tim approaches her. Out of breath, he explains that “Gator and Austin are at again in the locker room and he can’t seem to make them stop. Oh no, that was not good. She couldn't afford for them to buffoon today. Carrie puts a hand on Tim's shoulder to reassure him. “It’s my problem I will handle it, thanks, Tim.” Carrie takes off in a panic her heart beating fast. As she mulls over the bad outcomes of what will happen if Gator and Austin exactly destroy the locker room. Like losing our spot to go to nationals if Gator and Austin make another scene again. Yes, again they're known for being troublemakers. As known for being a pain in my ass.

Reporters were here and if there were to catch them in the act. That would blow our chances away. She worked far too hard for all her hard work to go to waste. She was rounding the corner and notice no journalists were in sight. She was in luck today. As she approaches the locker room, she was hoping I didn't have to bench my guys this week. Yet she found herself standing in the center of a rowdy group of sweaty men as they exchanged foul words and blows. “What a shitty start she thought to herself as she sighed out loud. Today, actual was the start of her new role as Co-manager for the New York Rangers. It wasn’t going as smooth as she once assumed it would be. The guys were already starting a big scene. The guys were a piece of work. Carrie could see herself slapping the shit out of their dumb asses. Unexpectedly a big guy almost landed a right hook straight to her head and just like that she exploded. As she dodges the almost blow, she slaps her binder down and yells “STOP! I HAD ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT!” “One more person throws a punch and kisses next weekend of free play away.”

“Everybody is this room will be here tomorrow at 4 am in the morning running laps no exception.” A bearded guy with thick eyebrows raises his hand. “What Carrie snapped at him. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it at 4 am in the morning.” “That sucks for you then Kaiser you will have an extra lap to run.” “Whoever cannot show up will be kicked off the team and that’s final.” She looked directly at Gator and Austin with those last words. As she marches out the locker room with my head high, she could hear showers being turned on and lockers being slammed shut. She grins to herself. A win for her. That shut them up for now, but for how long was the question.

Later that day, she was at a fresh market picking tomatoes when a basket ran into her. One-minute Carrie was picking tomatoes the next she was trying to catch flying vegetables without falling on my face. She slipped and fell into a man’s warm embrace it was like something out of a lifetime movie. Women fall into the arms of a handsome stranger and fall in love. That’s what she believed into he let her go. Carrie’s butt hit the ground and her magical moment ruined. “Sorry came a raspy voice from above her. Carrie was working her mouth but as soon as she looked up from picking herself up. She notices the strangers strangely hazel eyes weren’t looking directly at her, however, through her like she wasn’t there at all.

She ignores his apologies and babbles. She was wrong since he was blind. “No, I am sorry I- I didn’t know you couldn’t…. “Never mind, thank you I will be on my way said Carrie quickly. He smiles, his smile was cute. “I am blind you can say; It won't offend me he declares his voice oddly deep. “Here he utters offering me the tomatoes she desperately tried to catch. Carrie grabs the tomatoes from him feeling awkward but as soon as her hand connected with his electrical sparks. Sending strange sensations down her back. She quickly snatches her hand back feeling like she got burnt. Our eyes met, and it felt as if he was looking at her for real. Hazel eyes staring at her unblinking his face was so strikingly handsome. Pink full lips, thick eyebrows, and big nose.

His lips were so sexy. Carrie was still staring at Mr. hazel eyes and didn’t hear her name being called several times. “Carrie!” Carrie looks over her shoulder and notices Messy Grant Stanley standing a few feet waving his hand at her with a smirk on his to a handsome face. He was up to no good she bet. Grant Stanley was her enemy/ friend. Grant always picked with her every chance he got but they’re quite close when he wasn’t being a jerk. “Grant!” Hi, I haven’t seen you in a long while.” “I was just about to say the same thing to you.” We air kisses each other on the cheek and Grant pulls me into a hug. Carrie tries to look over his shoulder to find Mr. Hazel eyes, but he was already long gone. She pulls out of Grant’s hug and picks up her small basket back up. Grant peeks into her basket. “Looks like you’re making your favorite spaghetti tacos tonight.” “Why wasn’t I invited?” “You do not look any of my teammates that’s why.” “That hurts my feelings said Grant trying to sound wounded. “What feelings murmured Carrie as she picked up a few more ingredients. “Hold my basket said Carrie as she gave Grant her basket. Grant followed Carrie to check out. The hazel eye stranger listens as Carrie talks to Grant. He will meet her again.
