The night sky strecthed endlessly above, a canvas of glittering stars. Elliot adjusted his telescope, muttering to himself as he sketched the constellation Lyra into his notebook. "This one's bright tonight," he noted, circling one of the stars with his pencil. A soft breeze rustled the leaves outside his small observatory- a refurbished shed in his backyard. Elliot sighed, leaning back in his chair. "If only life was exciting like the stars,"he murmured. His days were a monotonous cycle of work, small talk, and quiet eveings alone. The stars were his escape- a world so far away it felt untouched by the mundanity of life on Earth. Suddenly a streak of light tore thourght the sky, illuminating the darkness with a brilliance that made Elliot gasp. He jumped up, knocking over his chair. "What the-" he began, rushing to the window. The light brighter than any meteor he'd ever seen, arced across the sky and disappeared into th nearby forest with a deafening crash. The ground trembled beneath his feet, rattling the telescope. His heart raced. "That was no meteor," he muttered. Grabbing his flashlight, he bolted out the door and into the night. when he reached to the forest. A cater smoldered in the earth, glowing faintly with an unearthly silver light. At its center lay a figure. "Hello?" Elliot called out hesitanly, stepping closer. The figure stirred sitting up slowly. it was a man--- no, not quite a man. His skin shimmered faintly, as thought it were reflecting the light of the stars, and his eyes glowed a soft slivery hue. Elliot knelt at the edge of the crater, his heart pounding."can you understand me?" The being tilted his head, studing Elliot and captured Elliot lips in a fervent kiss that ignited a spark between them. Their mouths moved in perfect harmony, a dance of passion. In a bold gesture, the figer gently took a hold of Elliot tongue and pulled it out of Elliot mouth and licked Elliots tongue. and then taking his tongue and put is in hins mouth then slowly put is in Elliots mouth as they continued to kiss. As the figure depends the kiss feather. And pulled back to see a small sring of saliva. Then Ellot staggered back, breathless. His mind was clearer than it had ever been. Then the figure spoke "Hi, am Vega of Lyra," he siad, his voice now comprehensible. Elliot touched his lip, still tingling the strange kiss. "What are you donig here? Why did you fall?" Vegas gaze darkened. "The stars... there are broken. I was pulled from the heavens through a rift. If i cannot return before the moon completes its cycle, I will case to exist so that means i have 24 hours and it starts tomorrow." "okay." said Elliot, swallowing hard. "I dont know how were going to do it and get you back up in space but I'll help you." vegas lips curved into the faintest smile. "Then perhaps i have a chance."
The night deepened, and the house was filled with quiet hums of the old heater and the occasional rustle of papers. Elliot sat at the dining table, his laptop open and a notebook beside it. He scribbled ideas furiously, pausing only to glance at Vega, who sat silently by the window, gazing at the stars. Elliot ran a hand through his hair. "If we're going to figure out how to get you back, I need to understand more about this Rift thing. How does it even work? Is there a way to track it?"
Vega didn't respond
"Hey, are you listening?" Elliot asked, looking up. Vega turned his gaze to Elliot, a strange softness in his eyes. Slowly, he rose from his seat and walked over to where Elliot sat. Elliot raised an eyebrow. "Uh, Vega? Are you okay?" Instead of answering, Vega leaned down, wrapping his arms around Elliot's waist from behind. His touch was warm, and the faint shimmer of his skin glowed softly against the dim light of the room. "Vega, what are you---" Elliot's words faltered as Vega nuzzled his face into the crook of Elliot's neck, planting a kiss along his skin.
Elliot froze his heart racing. "Vega, Wait--- what's wrong?" Did something happen?" But Vega didn't answer. His lips continued their gentle exploration, brushing against Elliot neck and sending a shiver down his spine. "Vega..." Elliot's voice was breathless, and he couldn't suppress the soft moan that escaped as Vega's kisses become more deliberate. His hands moved instinctively to Vega's, gripping them gently. "Seriously what's going on? You're acting... different."
Still, Vega said nothing. Instead, he tightened his embrace, pulling Elliot closer as if grounding himself in the connection between them. His lips traced down to the hollow of Elliot's throat, and the sensation sent waves of pleasure through Elliot. " Ah~... Vega stop." Elliot murmured, his voice trembling, his face flushed. He gripped the edge of the table, trying to steady himself as Vega's lips continued to press against his neck, igniting sensations Elliot hadn't expected.
But Vega didn't stop. His hands gently slid up Elliot sides, holding him closer, as if afraid to let go. The warmth of Vega's breath on his skin sent shivers down Elliot's spine, and his protest softer, almost reluctant. "Vega, I... I don't understand," Elliot stammered, his breathing uneven. Vega finally paused, his lips lingering near Elliot ear. "You don't need to understand right now," he whispered, his voice low and steady. "Just feel~" Elliot heart raced.
He wanted to argue, to pull away and demand but instead, he found himself turning to face Vega. There eyes met, Vega's shimmering silver gaze locking with Elliot confused but searching one. Before Elliot could responed, Vega closed the distance between them, their lips meeting in a tender kiss. It wasn't hurried or demanding---- It was deliberate, as if Vega was savoring every second. Elliot mind raced, but his body betrayed him, learning into the kiss. His hands moved hesitantly to Vega's arns. His fingertips brushing against the faint shimmer of his skin.
Elliot cheeks burned as he gently pushed Vega's hand away, intense affection----or the way his own body had responded to it. Sitting at the table, he refocused on his notes, trying to bury himself in the plan to send Vega back to the stars. Vega, however, was anything but subtle.
He leaned against the doorway, watching Elliot with an unreadable expression. The soft morning light danced across his silver hair and golden skin, giving him an ethereal glow that made it hard for Elliot to ignore him. "You didn't sleep much," Vega finally said, his voice low and almost... concerned. Elliot didn't look up. "I couldn't. You---uh---your kind of distracting." Vega smirked, stepping closer. "I'll take that as a compliment," Elliot murmured, scribbling nonsense on the page to avoid meeting Vega's gaze, His pen scribbling nonsense on the page in a futile attempt to steady his racing thoughts. The intensity of Vega's presence was overwhelming, and the memory of the night was far too vivid. Suddenly, Eliot felt a warm hand on his chin, tilting his face upwards, Startled he found himself staring directly at Vega's golden eyes, which burned with a starling ferocity. "Eyes on me" Vega said, his voice was low and commanding. " And only me do you hear me, love?" Elliot open his mouth to respond, but the words caught in his throat as Vega's eyes began to change. The golden hue blend away, replaced by a stark, glowing white that seemed to radiate light and power.
The surrounding air grew heavy, the hum of an unseen energy filling the room. Elliot's heart pounded in his chest. "Vega... your eyes--- What's happening?" Vega ignored the question, his grip on Elliot's chin firm but not to painful. His voice softened but lost none of its intensity. "Your mine to protect, mine to love, mine to cherish and hold. Don't for get that." Elliot's pulse quickened as the glow in Vega's eyes seemed to pull him in, like gravity binding him to a star. For a moment, it felt like the rest of the world had vanished--- there was no room, no table. "I..." Elliot stammered, his voice barely above a whisper. "I hear you." "And your mine and only mine." Vega released him, his eyes fading back to their golden hue as if nothing had happened. Vega didn't answer immediately. He simply leaned closer, his lips brushing against Elliot's ear as he whispered, "A promise"
Before elliot could process what vega had said there was a knock at the door. The sound startled him, breaking the changed atmosphere. "I'll get it," Elliot mumbled, stepping away from Vega, who stood silently, his gaze heavy with something Elliot couldn't name.
When he opened the door, Harper stood there holding a vibrant bouquet of wildflowers, she started to cry tears running down her soft peach skin as she put the flowers on the mat and left.
