Saving My Villain Daddy to Claim His Inheritance!
Chapter 1
This is my first chat story. I’m not very good at writing stories, so this book might end up a bit messy since it’s just an experiment.
I think I should make a few quick notes before starting this book.
1. Although the book cover looks historical, the content is entirely modern-day. I’m not skilled at writing historical stories.
2. The main genre of this story isn’t romance. It’s more of a slice-of-life.
3. [I’ll use these for thoughts,] meaning the character is speaking to themselves in their mind.
For now, those are the main notes. If I have more, I’ll add them in the relevant chapters.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[When I was little, I was always jealous of my older sister, who could go anywhere on her own because she was already grown up.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[She had her own room, her own phone, and even her own TV in her room.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I always thought that at night, she must stay up late watching TV because there were lots of dramas and interesting shows on.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Only God knew how jealous I was of her back then.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Because of that, I wanted to grow up fast and be an adult like her, and go to school on my own without needing anyone to take me.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Every morning, my sister would take the train to school by herself, just a short distance from our house, and I thought she was so amazing back then.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[When I grew up, I wanted to be just like that.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I wanted to follow in her footsteps in everything—do what she did, dye my hair neon pink like hers, wear eyeliner so bold even the black metal kids would be outdone.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[And then I’d go out with my friends and hang out at all the big malls around our area.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[But unfortunately, now that I’m grown up, I feel like everything I wanted to do after years of watching my sister just seems so ridiculous.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Now that I’m grown up, my mood for watching TV has completely faded.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Never mind watching TV; I don’t even feel like going out to hang out or meet people.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I’m too tired and fed up with dealing with the different types of personalities that challenge my patience every day.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[My tolerance has thinned so much that sometimes I feel like giving certain people a slap or two.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[If I could be a kid again, I wouldn’t have to deal with all this—I’m just exhausted.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[That’s what I thought, anyway.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I figured if I became a kid again, rewound time to when my brain was still blissfully underdeveloped, maybe I wouldn’t have to think about so much.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[But I was wrong—so wrong. Even as a kid again, my life is anything but peaceful!]
Lily Sinclair / MC’s Friend
Teacher! Seraphina doesn’t want to be my friend! Uwaaa!
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Kids who cry so much are really annoying.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
Tsk, so loud.
Lily Sinclair / MC’s Friend
Teacher!!!
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
Lily, Seraphina! Stop fighting and be friends nicely.
Lily Sinclair / MC’s Friend
She doesn’t want to be my friend! Wahhh!
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
Alright, stop crying. Why don’t you want to be friends with Lily, Seraphina? Be friends with Lily, go color with her over there.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[So annoying.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
She’s too loud. Talks too much. I need peace. Teacher, can you go color with her and take my place?
Lily Sinclair / MC’s Friend
Teacher! Wahhh!
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
Seraphina!
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[The longer I stay at this kindergarten, the deafer I get.]
Chapter 2
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Who says being a kid is easy?]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Who says being a kid means you don’t have to think or do anything?]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Who said it?]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Yup, it was me.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I was the fool who thought being a kid was the easiest thing on the face of the earth.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Ever since I transmigrated into the cringiest novel I read back in high school, I feel like the world of childhood is the most challenging.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[If adults have their version of screaming and hair-pulling arguments, kids have their own—a screaming competition of who can cry the loudest, complete with tears.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I wasn’t even arguing with Lily, but she somehow took it like I’d asked her to dig her own grave and lie in it.]
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
Seraphina, did you hear what I said?
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
I heard.
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
Then repeat what I just said.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Miss Amelia, despite being pretty, is really annoying.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I think I need a new target for Alistair.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I’d go deaf listening to this teacher lecture every day at home and at kindergarten if she were my mom.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
Don’t use harsh words. Don’t be angry with others. Be nice and make friends with everyone.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Tsk, since when did I get angry with anyone’s child?]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I only shared my opinion; how they interpret it isn’t my problem.]
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
Good. Now go apologize to Lily and be friends with her.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
Teacher, I can apologize, even though I don’t know what I did wrong, but I don’t want to be friends with her.
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
Why don’t you want to be her friend?
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
She’s your best friend.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Correction, she was little Seraphina’s best friend. I’m grown-up Seraphina.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
I’m tired of being her friend.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
Today, I want a break.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
There are so many other people here.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
You can tell someone else to go color with her.
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
Are you ordering me around?
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
I’m your teacher, you know?
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[This is what I can’t stand about adults.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[They don’t want to listen to the opinions of a small, insignificant person like me.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
No, I’m not ordering you around, teacher. I’m just tired.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I’m exhausted having to listen to her rambling every day about all things related to princess cartoon dramas, only to be bombarded with questions as if I’m some monument meant to answer all her nonsense.]
Amelia Bianchi / Teacher
Hmm… in that case, just tell her politely that you’re tired and ask her to take a break with you, okay?
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[As if that little kid would even understand… and this teacher too…]
Chapter 3
In the car on the way to the Hawthorne Residence.
Alistair Hawthorne / MC’s Father
What did you learn today?
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
Today, I learned addition, subtraction, and coloring.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[That’s my dad—my transmigrated dad, the infamous villain in this novel, Alistair Hawthorne.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[I don’t remember every detail of the story because I read it ages ago, but I remember the key scenes involving Alistair pretty well.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[It’s about Liora Adler, the poor female lead who ends up marrying the male lead, Lucian Hawthorne—Alistair’s older brother.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Alistair is the middle child, and their younger sister is Vivienne Hawthorne.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Lucian already has a girlfriend, and she’s a doctor, but his mother doesn’t approve.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[So, he’s set up to marry the female lead, who just happens to be the daughter of his parents’ best friends.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Since both her parents have passed away, Lucian’s parents are eager for their son to marry Liora to take care of her.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Liora feels obligated to accept the proposal from the family who supported her, and Lucian, on the other hand, can’t refuse because his girlfriend told him to go along with his parents’ wishes.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[That’s when Alistair, the misunderstood “villain,” starts showing interest in Liora.]
Alistair Hawthorne / MC’s Father
Was it hard?
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
No.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Just basic math…]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[When I read the novel, Alistair was portrayed as the family’s genius—handsome, aloof, and arrogant.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[But now that I’ve been in Seraphina’s body for a week, I’m starting to think he’s not actually arrogant.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[His resting face just makes people think he’s judging them—classic villain vibes.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[He’s also quiet and doesn’t talk much. Just like now.]
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
Daddy.
Alistair Hawthorne / MC’s Father
Hmm?
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
Don’t you want to find a new mommy?
Alistair Hawthorne / MC’s Father
Do you want one?
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
Yes, I do.
Alistair Hawthorne / MC’s Father
Alright.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
Daddy, do you think Ms. Amelia is pretty?
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Amelia already has a boyfriend, but her boyfriend has another girlfriend, so it wouldn’t hurt to start this mission early.]
Alistair Hawthorne / MC’s Father
She mentioned earlier that you might have bullied Lily at school.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
I didn’t bully her. She just cries too much.
Seraphina Hawthorne / MC
[Looks like I’ll need a different strategy.]
