The Fall of Euphoria

In 2007, on the planet Earth, civilizations were advancing, and numerous empires had been established. However, these empires didn't last long because seven of them, driven by dominance and powerful armies, waged extensive attacks on various territories, becoming even stronger. On February 20 of that year, there was one nation beyond the dominance of these empires where people lived happily and peacefully. They were peace-loving and generous by nature. The region was also very fertile and beautiful, with a river flowing over the mountains, which was a prime source of pure water. Altogether, they lived in contentment. Now, a question arises-why hadn't this beautiful region or country caught the eye of other empires, and if it did, would their happiness have lasted? The answer is that the people of this country didn't know that there were other civilizations beyond their realm. This mystery was because the region was surrounded by tall, needle-like mountains that shielded the nation from outsiders. Several times, people tried to cross these mountains, but no one has succeeded yet. This massive wall sat like a ring on Earth. In the middle of that ring, ordinary people lived, unfamiliar with any spiritual power. This nation was named The Land of Euphoria, or the Land of Happiness. To the north of Euphoria, the weather gradually became colder, and to the south, the opposite. To the east and west was The Grand Blue Sea, where the weather was always bad and storms frequently occurred. No one had ever crossed this sea, so what lay beyond it was unknown to all.

In the stellar year 2007, in a simple household in that village, a boy was born, and the family collectively named him Lin. His birth brought festive joy among the relatives, and everyone was bringing gifts for the child, as this was a traditional custom of the village. However, witnessing this festive atmosphere, a little girl chessing cat nearby and it jumped over the fence for rid of her,it fell to the pond. The wet cat looks so funny as she couldn't hold his laugh. She and the cat also noticed that someone was bornt in that family. There was a festive environment so she also wonders, "Did everyone came like this for me too?" As she pondered the answer, her mother called her, and she left.

A man hiding his face, riding in his horse, going through the east forest known as the ancient forest. Eventually he found the place what he was looking for. It was a normal house. He tied his horse beside the house owner horses. He knocked the door. No reply. Again he knocked the door 1 times every 5 seconds until it count as 3 times. So a man opens up the door and welcomed him to his house. "So what bring you here today?Remond. "I sensed very unusual things these days. My stone of elements somehow reacting to the air without presence of a magical particle. I don't know how it's happening do you feel something like that?"Arold,"You are indeed correct. Recently my aurinator( A mirror that can sense magic or elements particles) working and it acting weirdly."Remond,"Does that mean he(????) is already bornt?" Arold," I can't say anything for sure but I do see the barrier between the land of Euphoria and the radiant energy world being weakened." Remond,"We can't let this happen, I must find his vessel until it's too late.""Don't do any reckless, we must investigate the situation first. Take my aurinator and find the source of the unknown energy" after Remond left Arold thinking in his mind,"The prophecy I found in a secret gate that says 'The wall will vows to him and worry if he comes"

Lin grew up and made many friends in the area, regularly playing with them in the field next to his house, where a part of the Blue Snake River flowed. One day, Lin went to the market with his mother. While there, he noticed a particular kind of brooch(badge). Seeing it, he thought, "I've seen boys and girls in my area wearing this." He wanted to buy it, so he asked his mother, "Mom, can I get this?" His mother replied, "Aren't you going to buy your favorite toy today?" Lin said, "No, Mom, I'll buy it another day." "Then you'll have to be patient and can't regret it later," she said. With his mother's permission, Lin bought the brooch from the shopkeeper, whose craftsmanship was renowned in the village. Lin was delighted to own the brooch with his favorite red water lily flower on it. He was happily looking at it and walking with his mother when he heard a loud sound, surprising him in such peaceful weather. Looking up at the sky, he wondered, "Why is there such a loud sound in this calm environment? This isn't a new occurrence; many people have heard similar sounds before. Some say it's coming from the north, while others spread rumors that a demon has been born in the mountains to the south. Many believe the rumors and fearfully avoid looking toward or going near the black stone mountains. But today's sound was much louder. Anyway, I have this precious brooch now."

After shopping, Lin and his mother met Yuné and her mother.

Returning to the story, I was surprised to see Yuné because, when my mother asked her mother questions, Yuné used gestures to answer, which her mother interpreted for us. She seemed gentle in nature and, to my surprise, was older than me, though she looked about our age. Lost in thought, the adults finished their conversation, and we said goodbye and headed home. Tonight (September 18, 2016) was a special night for us because we gathered for a grand feast in the largest field in the area. Through this event, we expressed gratitude and brotherhood toward each other. The adults were chatting, while I noticed a group of older boys who lived near my house. They used to annoy us kids, tricking us or making us do their work. Farhan was the leader among them. One day, my friends and I planned a business venture to gather water lilies from the river near our village and sell them at the market to become rich. But since these flowers were far from the shore, we planned to reach them using an abandoned boat. Just as we were about to go, Farhan appeared and said, "I heard you're going to take this boat for a ride?" "No, who said that? We were just exploring here," I replied. "Oh, really? Well, I came here to warn you because there's a big snake with arms in this river that pulls kids like you into the water." With that, he left, but our plan sank as no one dared to get on the boat anymore.

Days were passing like this. One evening, I was quietly sitting by the Blue Snake River, enjoying the cloudy weather and the beautiful scenery. I noticed that the water lilies didn't change position despite the strong current, holding on with all their might. I wondered, why does it struggle so hard? Just then, an elderly man sat beside me. He was known and respected in the region, having made significant contributions to its development, for which he had been offered the position of chief advisor of the area several times, though he always declined for reasons only he knew. His name was Rimon. Although I didn't know much about his past, people said he was a master swordsman whom no one could defeat. I felt he knew a lot because I'd seen him teaching people. When he sat beside me, I got a bit nervous because, despite nearing 60, he still looked fit enough to take on ten to twelve people. Rimon said, "You seem like you're curious to know the answer to a question." Surprised, I replied, "Yes, something has piqued my interest. Why does this flower keep struggling against the current?" He said, "Because its roots are firmly anchored to the bottom and maintain their spread. Nature is a battlefield; you must survive in this world one way or another-that's the law of nature. Otherwise, like the current, you'll drift away. But this flower has unique qualities. Wherever it grows, the water remains pure, fish are abundant, and it beautifies the environment with its fragrance. Doesn't this show that nature isn't just ruthless but also filled with love?" I was astonished by his words. At that moment, Yuné came and sat beside him. Their behavior suggested they were father and daughter. Then, he asked me a question, "What do you want to become in the future?" I answered honestly, "I don't have any specific aspirations yet." He smiled and said, "In the modern world, there may not be a place for boys like you." Lin: "The modern world?" Rimon: "Forget it, I didn't mean to say that."

Suddenly, a loud explosion erupted as a fireball crashed crashed a building and fall into the water, causing a great disturbance.Few seconds later it blown like a massive explosion. The buildings near the site was blown away. I was emotionless after seeing this disastrous. The calm river water turned turbulent. Yuné's father, frightened as he was hiding something from us, told us, "You must leave now! Go quickly toward the forest in the east, where you'll find a hut. Tell them I sent you." Pointing the way, he urged, "Go quickly, don't waste any time!" I asked, "Aren't you coming?" Rimond replied, "No, I'm going to save your parents." "But from whom?" (At that moment, an emergency alarm blared, and people started screaming.) "From the demons."

With that, he embraced Yuné for the last time and instructed us to go in that direction. Yuné, crying, ran with me. Seeing her, I became scared and began thinking about my family.

Rimond hurried towards the main gate of the Alén province (Lin's birthplace) on his horse. Before reaching the gate, he met his wife, Lione. People were fleeing in every direction, arrows and incendiary bombs falling upon them. Rimond said, "Take my horse and go to the hut where I showed you." Lione, panicked, asked, "Where is our daughter?" "She's there. Go quickly." (But Lione refused to leave him.) Then, emotionally, Rimon said, "Go, our daughter is alone there. Don't worry about me; I know how to handle this situation." With that, he sent her to safety and climbed up the tower near the main gate, where he saw a vast, well-armed army surrounding them. The older boys from the village were with him, and they were shocked because they'd never seen such a large army before. Recognizing the army's flag, Rimon muttered, "The Redsun army... here? How is that possible?"

One of the older boys angrily asked, "Did you know they were coming!?" Rimon didn't answer but kept thinking.

Emergency was declared in Alén, Iri, Riosa, Rinasia, and The Last Heart province. Soldiers prepared for battle, with Lin's father directing everyone to gather in the arena. Those ready to fight positioned themselves at the gate and on the walls, although they were fearful, as they had never faced such a massive, well-equipped army.

(One hour later)

A messenger came and told the chief all artillery cannon doesn't working then The Redsun army's chief commander, Asklan, ordered his troops to advance. The bloody battle began as the Alén soldiers gave their all to resist the enemies, inflicting significant damage on the Redsun army. Realizing that the current tactics weren't working, Askalan received news from a soldier: "He has arrived..."

Surprised, one of Askalan's deputy commanders asked, "Who has arrived?"

Askalan replied, "The heir of the Renarfia kingdom, Refiko Renar, has arrived with his dragon, Araxy."

The deputy commander Aryan objected, "Why call him here!? If he brings his dragon, many people will burn to death. This will tarnish our soldiers' reputation. The city will be completely destroyed...!"

One of the senior commanders responded, "You're right; many will die, but remember, we are here for a noble purpose. Even King Lucius ordered us to accomplish this mission."

"But if we kill them, it will... it will seem inhumane..."

Furious, Askalan said, "Stay within your limits. This is being done on my command; anyone who opposes it can leave my sight! We're doing this not for ourselves but for the future, and we'll do whatever it takes."

(Aryan remains silent.)

The Alan forces tried to fortify their wall with renewed courage. Everyone was shouting, "Keep going!!" But soon a terrifying sound was heard from the sky, and everyone looked up to see a gigantic, terrifying flying beast heading their way. It approached so quickly that before anyone could react, Prince Refiko signaled Araxy to unleash fire, instantly turning everything into ashes. All the soldiers on the wall were burned to death. Witnessing this horrific scene, a soldier exclaimed in disbelief, "What kind of creature is this? A human... riding this savage beast...?!"

He ordered his soldiers to retreat and headed toward his wife, but the destruction caused by the dragon made it impossible. At this moment, the main gate broke down, and the Redsun army entered the city, killing mercilessly. Lin's father was trying to reach his wife and children on horseback when he saw Prince Refiko sitting on the dragon.

Refiko sneered, "It seems you're in a hurry... Going to your wife and children?"

Loren(Lin's father) replied, "First, tell me, who are you? I've never seen you here before. What do you want?"

Refiko laughed, "Ha! You really don't know? Never mind, it's a long story. We're here to save the future, for a noble cause."

"How vile must you be to think killing people is noble."

"If you were in my place, you would've done the same long ago, because we know things you don't. Now, I'm not in the mood to watch the battle from afar anymore; let me test my sword."

(Their conversation ends here(Rest of the thing will be flashback later).)

Lin and Yonei successfully escaped from Alan province and reached a mountain, but they still had a long way to go. Lin, turning back, saw his homeland ablaze, hearing the cries of people. He realized that Raymond had not kept his word.

Yonei pulled at his cloak, signaling him to continue the journey.

Lin replied, "...What should I do? Who attacked our land? My whole family is still there... Can I really leave them like this...?"

(A past event comes to Lin's mind.)

Ten-year-old Lin was playing football with his friends when a slightly awkward boy came and asked to join them, saying, "Can I play with you?" Lin had never seen this boy before. His friends in the background shouted, "What's taking so long? Bring the ball quickly!" and added, "Don't let him play; he's crazy." When the boy tried to join by holding Lin's hand, Lin ignored him and continued to play.

Enefa, who was watching her son from a distance, noticed his reaction.

When Lin reached his home, his mom said,

"Lin, what did you do today?"

"What do you mean?"

"Why didn't you let that boy play? Why did you ignore him?"

"He... he doesn't know how to play well, and everyone says he's crazy and weak."

"Listen to me carefully, whether he can play or not, you should let him try and teach him. Just because others say something, will you do it without thinking for yourself?"

"No."

She held his hands, saying, "You're my child; I raised you. Promise me you'll never become cruel or heartless. Listen to your heart, no matter what others say."

Lin, moved by remorse, said tearfully, "Okay, I promise I'll never act like this again."

(His mother affectionately embraced him.)

(Returning to the present moment.)

This memory lingered in Lin's mind.

Yonei, with tears in her eyes, made no further gestures.

Understanding her silence, Lin said, "I must go back. My father, mother, and unborn sibling... I must go to them."

When Yonei tried to stop him, he pleaded, "Please, let me go. My heart isn't allowing me to leave."

After another attempt to restrain him, Lin cried out, "Let me go!"

Startled, Yonei froze in fear. Seeing her reaction, Lin muttered, "What am I doing?"

He then dashed back home, leaving Yonei standing in shock.

Arian stood at a distance, watching the fall of the Alan Province. Just then, a messenger approached him and informed, "Alan has completely fallen. The chief commander has invited you to join them."

Arian replied, "Alright, you may go."

After the messenger left, Arian muttered to himself, "This isn't right. The army that once symbolized freedom is now trampling on others' liberty. I was told we came here to kill demons, but all I see are people of flesh and blood."

Though he didn't want to go, Arian made his way to the city. Upon entering, he was stunned as an 16-year-old nobleman's son, witnessing the ruins of buildings around him, with people lying helplessly amidst the debris. Soldiers were killing the survivors who were barely holding on. While the soldiers seemed joyful, Rafiko felt disturbed, thinking, "How can they take pleasure in such a cruel act?"

Noticing his expression, Asklan asked him, "Arian, is something bothering you?"

"No."

"Then why that look on your face? Are you grieving over the enemy's downfall?"

"How can one man stab another innocent person and smile about it? I understand they are our enemies, but we can't just take lives like this."

Asklan spoke sternly, "I can't believe you're my grandson. With this soft heart, how will you lead the great Redsun and our family? Remember, your father's softness towards the weak allowed the enemy to get close and kill him. Harden your heart if you don't want to end up like him. Obey the seniors' orders, for it will be for your own good."

Arian fell silent. After a moment, he muttered, "I have a feeling that one day, we will pay the price for these actions."

Asklan replied, "If that day comes, we'll have a chance to fight with valor again. I hope, by then, you'll have the wisdom to see it."

Shortly afterward, a messenger arrived and announced that Prince Rafiko had summoned them to the center of the city.

Asklan responded, "Alright, we're coming."

Arian asked, "What could it be about?"

Asklan replied, "You'll understand once we get there."

Meanwhile, Leona finally arrived at the place marked by her husband. It was a small, quiet hut deep within a silent forest. Leona dismounted from her horse and knocked on the door of the hut. Suddenly, a man placed a sword against her neck from behind and asked, "Who are you? Where have you come from? What do you want here?"

Leona replied, slightly worried, "My husband, Raymond, told me to come here because our daughter is supposed to be here."

The man lowered his sword and said, "There's no one here but you and me."

"What are you saying...!? Does that mean our daughter is still there? No, this can't be!"

The man continued, "If Raymond sent you here, it means the Alan Province has been destroyed, and everyone is dead. There's no point going back."

At that moment, a myna bird perched on the man's shoulder and said, "A boy and a girl were running toward our hut, but the boy stopped and tried to turn back. The girl tried to stop him. However, the boy eventually left, and a moment later, the girl also ran after him."

Leona immediately realized it was her daughter and Enifa's son. She quickly mounted her horse and started heading in their direction, certain her daughter was with Lin, on their way back to the village. But the man stood there, contemplating what to do. In the end, he mounted his horse and began chasing after Leona.

Lin kept running, exhausted from the relentless sprint, but he didn't stop. An internal battle raged in his mind, though he had never witnessed a real war.

By the time he reached his village, it was night. Gasping heavily, he ignored his fatigue and froze in shock, seeing the vast ruins, ashes, and dead bodies before him. Terrified, he refused to leave his mother alone, running through the devastation. A deep sorrow overwhelmed him as he saw the familiar faces of people he once knew, now lying lifeless. He cried out, "Why did this happen? What did we do wrong? Who could have done this?... Demons? No, demons never leave dead bodies... then who was Raymond talking about?"

Saying this, Lin reached the front of his house and stopped, seeing his mother lying unconscious. Tears fell from Enifa's eyes. Seeing this, Lin screamed and rushed to her side, saying, "Mom... what happened to you? Who gave you such a terrible wound on your stomach? Let's leave here quickly!"

Through tears, Enifa replied, "The demons have killed your brother or sister."

Lin gasped in disbelief, "What... are you saying?"

Lin had never seen his mother cry before. Her suffering deeply affected him. Speechless, he began to cry, saying, "Mom, let's leave this kingdom."

His mother replied, "My son, I can't go. I've lost too much blood. I won't survive long. You must leave quickly."

Lin insisted, "But I won't leave you alone. Come with me, Mom. You've always given me courage; now show that courage yourself."

At that moment, Younei arrived. Lin, with tears in his eyes, looked at him and pleaded, "Help me... we have to save my mom... I'm begging you."

Younei helped Lin, but then Enifa stopped them, saying, "Why aren't you leaving? Go quickly! The soldiers will be here soon, and if they find you, they'll kill you too... Go!"

"But..."

"I said go, don't worry about me."

Lin cried, "Does that mean... you're going to die...?"

"Everyone has to leave someday."

"Then... how will I live alone?"

Taking off the Enarfian bracelet (a special adornment attached by a chain to a ring) from her wrist, Enifa handed it to Lin and said, "My father gave this to my mother, and now I'm giving it to you. This will be my mark on you, so you won't feel alone. Don't forget, I'll always be with you. Now listen to me like the good son you are."

Enifa's condition worsened, but she still worried about them and insisted they leave. Seeing this, Younei began to cry, but there was nothing he could do. Understanding her wishes, he tried to pull Lin away. Lin cried even harder, "No... no... nooo!"

Enifa managed a small smile to comfort Lin, but just then, an Araxy dragon descended from above and incinerated her with fire. Lin was left in shock, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

From atop the dragon, Rafiko looked down at them and said, "How does it feel? Isn't my dragon amazing?"

Lin,"Why...! Why.... Did you do that..!!!?

Seeing the massive, terrifying dragon, Younei was filled with fear and tugged Lin more forcefully, but Lin refused to budge.

Rafiko sneered, "It seems your companion doesn't want to stay with you. From the look of him, he'd rather be with his mother. Let him come closer; let's see how brave he is."

Here's the English translation of the passage:

Younei tried desperately to stop Lin, but Lin continued moving toward the dragon's mouth. Just as Rafico commanded Araxy to unleash fire, the dragon glanced into Lin's eyes. At that moment, small cuts began to appear on Araxy's body, as if someone was striking it with countless sharp blades. Araxy stopped breathing fire and began searching for its attacker, growing more ferocious. Prince Rafko didn't understand what was happening; suddenly, the dragon, driven mad with pain, started thrashing around, causing Abon to flee the scene. Younei was bewildered by the chaos and turned to Lin, who was sitting in front of his mother's lifeless body, deep in thought and crying. Lin spoke to himself, "What a coward I am! How could I run away and leave my family behind?!" Then he sobbed, "If I hadn't fled earlier, at least I could have tried to save them, warned them; maybe it wouldn't have come to this." Younei sat there, disheartened, listening to Lin's lament.

Suddenly, Younei heard her mother's voice and stood up, glancing back with a sigh of relief. She ran toward Leona, and mother and daughter embraced. Leona held her daughter tightly and said, "Are you alright, dear? I'm grateful to see you alive!" Then Leona's eyes fell on Enifa. She walked over to her body and expressed her sorrow. At that moment, an old man approached and said, "We don't have much time. The Redsun army could arrive at any moment; we must leave this place now!" Leona agreed and urged Lin to come with them, but he refused to leave his mother. He declared, "You go ahead; I'll stay here until I've defeated my enemies."

Understanding Lin's emotions, Leona tried to comfort him, saying, "Lin, listen to me; you can't defeat the enemy; you're still too young."

"I can," Lin insisted. "I know how to defeat them," and Younei joined in pleading with him. The old man then learned about the recent events from his pet bird and told Lin, "Your mother sacrificed her life to save you. If you end your life like this, Enifa will fade into oblivion. Come with us; you may be the last hope of your homeland. I say this because you possess something within you that no one else has. Come with me; I will train you in ways you can't even imagine. Now, let's go."

Hearing this, a spark of hope ignited in Lin. Suddenly, the bird returned with news, "A large part of the army is approaching; we must escape in the next ten minutes!"

Leona mounted her horse and waited for them. The stranger took Lin's hand and helped him onto the horse, and they began to flee rapidly. Lin couldn't bring himself to look ahead; he kept glancing back, filled with regret. The stranger reassured him, "Don't worry; one day you'll return here, but not as a fugitive; you'll return as a victor. Now, don't hold onto any pain in your heart."

Lin asked the stranger, "What's your name? Why are you encouraging me so much?"

The man replied, "My name is Arold, and you'll understand why I'm encouraging you once you read this." Hearing this, Lin eventually fell asleep. Leona looked at him and murmured, "Poor boy, he's cried so much today." Younei nodded in agreement with Leona.

(With that, they eventually left the Alan province, meaning they were now out of danger.)

Thus, Lin's journey begins.
