"Please wake up!" an annoying high-pitched voice drilled in my ears.

[Huh? Where am I? What was I doing again?]

I groggily opened my eyes and winced. I was suddenly blinded my the brightness of my surroundings. I seemed to be…..in a waiting room? The floors and walls were carpeted in rich velvet and glistening golden pillars supported the corners of the room.

[Where the hell am I? How did I manage to end up in some fancy ass rich place..? Did I forget to pay back another installment again...?]

"Please for the love of God! Stop ogling and get up! You're expected upstairs!" the high-pitched voice whined again.

I pulled my eyes away from the room to face the incessant nagging voice. The voice came from a baby. A literal flying baby. Well not literally a baby-

More of a cherub? I squinted closely to get a better look. A small, chubby and adorable face nestled in handsome chocolate curls? Check. Basically naked except for a loincloth? Check. A freaking angel halo and wings? Check. Small little arms and legs like a baby? Check.

"I can see what you're thinking you pervert! I know that I was born with such a natural beauty, but that doesn't mean you can stare at me. Now hurry up now! Chope chope," the cherub puffed out his chest.

[Hah?? What the-? Is he talking about himself?? What a weirdo lol... Nevertheless, he is an angel though... Wait. An angel? Don't angels only appear if you're...dead?]

"Excuse me, Mr Cherub sir? Could you tell me where am I? How exactly did I end up here?" I mustered up my best sucking-up voice as I could.

"Hmph! Finally a young un who knows how to respect me properly! For that I'll reward you with an answer to your question. Firstly, you're in the waiting room to the afterlife where you'll be judged later on to see where you'll go. Secondly- well I don't really need to explain how you got here right? You can add the pieces together by yourself"

"I can't be dead! I'm a healthy 16 years old female! Dammit! I even win gold in physical education every year so how....?"

"I'm afraid we can't disclose the information of your death. The higher-ups have implemented this rule after a few too many incidents broke out in the waiting room. Now if you would follow me inside this elevator to get sorted out please, it would be immensely wonderful."

[What the hell-? Was I in some wacky dream? Should I run? But there were no exits I could spot. But if I was dead then... I didn't need to pay of all my debts.. Shit whatever I guess, being dead is better than paying off 500million dollars...]

I smiled contently while the angel cherub shivered at grin. It was probably unsettled by my eerie calmness at this whole situation. There wasn't sliver of doubt that I would go to heaven after working my ass off 11 years to pay my parents debt. Surely they'd take pity on such a hardworking child right? I couldn't believe I've struck gold for early retirement. Now I could sit back, relax, and enjoy a nice long vacation for the rest of my life. Just thinking about the goodies that awaited me above dissipated any sorrows for my death and left me with a greater glee instead.

"Well then! Please lead the way, Mr Cherub Sir."
