On a calm evening, Ruhaani and Aishwarya sat on a bench facing the beach, the gentle waves lapping against the shore.
The wind played with their hair as they watched the horizon, enjoying the peaceful moment.
Aishwarya took a deep breath and broke the silence.

Today was the day. She had to talk to Pihu about her marriage. She knew her daughter well—sweet, naive, and full of drama. This wouldn’t be easy.
Aishwarya called, her voice slightly strained.
Pihu bounded into the room with her usual exuberance, her long hair bouncing as she moved.

"Yessss..... Mumma what's up?!"
She flopped down on the sofa beside her mother, eyes wide and curious.
Aishwarya hesitated, then smiled softly.

"I wanted to talk to you about something important."
Pihu immediately perked up, narrowing her eyes.
Pihu Verma
"Uh-oh. Mom, why do you have that look? Are we moving? Are you selling the house? Oh no, wait—you're not sending me to grandma in village, are you?!"
She dramatically clutched her chest, her tone filled with mock horror.
Aishwarya chuckled, shaking her head.
Aishwarya Verma
"No, nothing like that, Pihu."
She paused, taking a deep breath.

"I want to talk about marriage"
Pihu Verma
*gasps*..."You're getting married mumma? Koun hai woh Buddha?"
Aishwarya Verma
"What!!!Nooo , Not my marriage dumbo. I want to talk about your marriage."
Pihu gasped loudly, her eyes widening in disbelief.
Pihu Verma
"Marriage? Me? Now? Mom, I'm only 19! I haven't even figured out what my favorite ice cream flavor is, and you want me to get married?"
Aishwarya Verma
"Next month you're getting 20 pihu."
Pihu Verma
"It's a same thing mumma."
Aishwarya smiled at her daughter's theatrics but placed a hand gently on her arm.

"I know, beta, you're young, and I’m not forcing anything. But I want you to understand that... I might not always be here to look after you."
Pihu's playful expression faltered for a moment, concern flickering in her eyes.
Pihu Verma
"Mumma, don't talk like that. You're going to be here forever."
Aishwarya sighed, knowing how deeply her illness scared her daughter.
Aishwarya Verma
"Pihu, I’m not saying anything will happen right away. But I just want to know that you’re happy and taken care of, by someone who loves you, with a family who will cherish you."
Pihu shifted uncomfortably, her dramatic front wavering.
Pihu Verma
"But... marriage is such a big deal, Mumma. I mean, I don’t know anything about these people you’re talking about."
Aishwarya Verma
"Ruhi and Agastya are good people. I’ve known them for years, and they have a lovely family. Ayansh... he’s a kind-hearted boy, and I believe he would be good for you."
Pihu blinked, looking away for a moment.
Pihu Verma
"Ayansh? Ruhi aunty's son?"
Aishwarya Verma
"He’s smart, responsible, and I think he would make you happy. But, Pihu, this decision isn’t mine to make. It’s yours. I just want you to meet them, get to know them, and see how you feel."
