Chapter 1: The Encounter
The late afternoon sun cast a warm glow over the small convenience store, illuminating the colorful aisles filled with snacks and instant meals.
Giu stood in front of the Korean food section, excitement bubbling within him.
“Lyla, Jane, check this out!”
he exclaimed, holding up a pack of spicy cheese flavored Buldak
Lyla, her eyes sparkling, leaned closer.
“We have to get that! And don’t forget the Seaweed paper!” Jane added, nodding enthusiastically.
The trio busily filled their basket with an assortment of snacks, laughter echoing through the aisles.
Meanwhile, at a nearby table, Vee sat with his friends, with a stack of textbooks spread before him.
he had come to study with his friends but found his concentration slipping away, his gaze drawn repeatedly to Giu and his friends.
There was something magnetic about the way he laughed, his joy spilling over and lighting up the room.
Vee bit his lip, feeling a rush of warmth spread across his cheeks as Giu caught him eye for a brief moment.
His dark hair fell slightly over his forehead, and when he smiled, it was as if the entire store brightened.
he quickly looked away, embarrassed, hoping he hadn’t noticed him staring.
“Hey, are you okay?”
His friend Wonjay asked, sitting down across from him.
He followed his gaze and raised an eyebrow.
“You’ve been staring at them for a while now.”
Vee’s blush deepened.
“I—uh, I just thought he looked like he was having fun,”
he stammered, trying to sound nonchalant.
But his heart raced at the thought of Giu.
he couldn’t help but admire how easily he interacted with his friends, his laughter infectious.
Back at the food section, Giu, oblivious to Vee’s gaze, was animatedly discussing which snacks to try first.
“Let’s get some of these chips too!
They’re supposed to be really good,” he said, tossing a bag into the basket.
“Let’s sit down and eat!
” Lyla suggested, leading the way to the small tables at the back of the store.
As Giu settled into a chair at the second table, he leaned back, stretching slightly, his eyes scanning the room.
Vee’s heart raced as he realized he was looking at his direction again.
This time, their eyes met, and he felt a jolt of electricity. Giu smiled, a friendly, open smile that made him stomach flutter.
he quickly looked down, fiddling with his textbook, while his friends wonjay couldn't help but laugh because of the reaction of Vee.
but still Vee couldn’t help sneaking another glance.
“Why do you keep blushing?”
Wonjay teased him while nudging him playfully.
“ahh I Know Because of him right”
Vee shot him a glare, though his heart didn’t quite agree.
“I’m not blushing,”
he insisted, though he could feel the heat radiating from his cheeks.
Giu’s laughter rang out again, cutting through his thoughts.
he watched as he shared the snacks with his friends, their camaraderie so easy and genuine.
Vee sighed softly, wishing he could be part of that laughter, even for a moment.
Just then, Giu looked over again, catching him staring once more.
This time, he raised a hand in a friendly wave.
Vee froze, his heart pounding. With a shy smile, he raised his hand in response, feeling both exhilarated and terrified.
“Okay, that’s it,”
Wonjay said, smirking.
“You have to go say hi.”
“Me? No way!”
Vee stammered, panic rising in his chest.
But deep down, the thrill of the moment was undeniable.
As she glanced back at Giu, still smiling and surrounded by his friends, he felt a flicker of courage ignite within him.
Maybe, just maybe, today would be the day his ordinary life took an unexpected turn.

Chapter 2: The Hesitation
As Giu finished Eating their snacks, he leaned back in his chair, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him.
His laughter with Lyla and Jane had been infectious, but now he couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was staring at him in the first table.
He glanced around the store and spotted Vee again, his eyes darting away as soon as they met his.
“What’s up, Giu?”
Jane asked, noticing his distraction.
“Nothing, just…”
Giu trailed off, trying to shake off the unease.
“Did you guys notice that guy over there?” He pointed vaguely in Vee’s direction.
Lyla raised an eyebrow. “What guy?”
“The one sitting with his friend, studying.
He keeps looking this way.” Giu couldn’t help but feel a mix of curiosity and embarrassment.
Did he do something to draw attention? He ran a hand through his hair, trying to dismiss the feeling.
“Oh, come on.
He’s probably just bored,” Jane replied, rolling her eyes. “Let’s head back to school before the bell rings.”
Reluctantly, Giu stood up, throwing away the trash from their snacks.
As they walked toward the exit, he stole another glance at Vee.
His cheeks were still flushed, and he felt a strange flutter in his stomach.
Was he embarrassed? Did he even realize how captivating he was?
As they stepped outside, Giu’s mind raced.
“Did I do something wrong?” he wondered.
“Is he upset?”
It felt surreal to think that someone might be admiring him.
He had always been the one to admire from afar, not the other way around.
His friends, completely oblivious to the unspoken connection brewing, chatted about their upcoming classes.
“I swear, Giu, you have this weird energy today,”
Lyla teased, nudging him. “You’re acting all shy.
What’s going on?”
Giu shrugged, forcing a laugh.
“Just tired, I guess.”
But in truth, he felt anything but tired.
The encounter with Vee lingered in his mind, a puzzle he was desperate to solve.
Why was he looking at him?
As they walked toward school, Giu felt a sense of longing.
He glanced back at the convenience store one last time, half hoping to catch another glimpse of Vee.
he was still there, his focus back on his books, yet he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something more between them.
Inside the school, Giu’s mind remained preoccupied.
Even as he settled into his next class, the thoughts of Vee lingered.
“Giu!” Jane’s voice broke through his reverie. “You with us?”
“Yeah, sorry,”
he mumbled, shaking his head to clear the thoughts.
But the sensation of his gaze remained, and he couldn’t ignore the curiosity that tugged at him.
Was he really just a random man, or could he be something more?
He glanced at the clock, counting down the minutes until lunch.
Maybe then he would have the courage to see if he was still around.
After all, sometimes opportunities come when you least expect them—but you have to be brave enough to seize them.
End.
