"My head hurts a lot"thought Solomon. I wonder what happened to me and why this pain in my head won't stop.

He sits up and places his left hand on his forehead to check his temperature. "My God I'm burning up" Solomon said while freaking out.

He tries to stand but fails and then gives up entirely. I'll go back to bed, and hopefully I should be better before my job interview tomorrow.

He lays back down and stares at the ceiling while counting sheep, but he still couldn't fall asleep. "I wonder why Alessia and my other maids haven't come to check on me" he thought but didn't bother calling out for them.

"I don't think I can hold a conversation right now, I'll ask why they didn't come to check on me tomorrow morning" he said while yawning before finally falling asleep.

The next morning in the Rich mansion

" Good morning, my Lord "said a maid named Chris after catching sight of Solomon. He waved his hands as a sign of acknowledgment after all he never cared what his maids were doing as long as the house was clean, and they were at his beck and call when he needed them.

The maid knowing she won't get more than that sighed internally and continued to dust the cupboards.

To her greatest surprise she heard him stopping and thought he might have had a change of heart, but instead he asked.

"Where is Alessia" Solomon asked. The maid turned around and said with the sweetest smile in the gardens my Lord. He nodded and left for the gardens making the maid regret ever deciding to work at the mansion because of his good looks.

In the gardens

"Alessia, Alessia" he called. "Yes, my Lord" she replied. Is there anything you need, my Lord she said while staring at him. I'm going to be at a friend's party for a couple of hours don't bother with my breakfast. I'll eat out. After that statement, he turned around and left.

I need to teach my ex-girlfriend a lesson at her stupid engagement party and finally have her as mine. "How dare she leave me for the weird and stupid concept called love" Solomon thought. I'm the richest guy in this estate, hell I'm even the richest guy in country right now.

It pissed him off a lot that Emilia thought of him as second best because of the concept of love, and he was more pissed at himself because he couldn't get over her.

He could have any girl in the country, but Emilia was the only one he wanted. He kept pondering why he had such thoughts over and over again but eventually came up with nothing.

A few minutes later

We proudly announce to you all that I, Emilia Clarke and Duncan Hines are getting married in late fall.

That's when Solomon had the realization that he loved Emilia and vowed to do everything in his power to bring her back into his life.

In the evening of the same day

Solomon was walking away from the engagement venue while pondering on the best way to make Emilia his again.

He walked a few miles before hailing a taxi while still preoccupied with his thoughts. It was when he alighted from the taxi that he suddenly remembered that he drove his car there.

Solomon pinched the bridge of his nose clearly annoyed by his act of stupidity before turning around and walking into the mansion.

"I'll just get my car tomorrow" he thought.

I can use that as an excuse to see Emilia again. He chuckled clearly satisfied that such a situation had presented itself so soon.

"Amelia, where are you? . Never mind just get dinner started" he commanded.

Another maid rushed in to tell him that Amelia the head maid was out buying groceries.

He nodded and then asked her to prepare dinner for him with whatever was available.

She bowed before exiting the room to prepare dinner.

In his study

Solomon opens the door and hangs his coat on a rack before walking to his desk only to sense someone else's presence in the room.

He was the best student in his martial arts class for many years, so noticing he wasn't alone was a piece of cake for him.

The gears of his brain were turning to device the best course of action to take to leave the room without being suspicious.

Minutes later, he decided to just sit down in the study and act natural while signalling his bodyguards to come to him but for some reason the transmitter wasn't working and that was a very bad sign.

Then, full of confidence the assassin walked out and locked the study door.

"You should have escaped while you had the chance Mr. Rich. You could have avoided your untimely demise" the assassin said while walking towards his desk step-by-step.

"Is that so?" Solomon said while smiling.

I'm sure you know that I am trained in the martial arts, so what is giving you the insane confidence that you aren't the one facing an untimely demise.

"I know about all your skills and achievements better than anyone trust me" said the assassin.

But as they say when life gives you lemons make lemonade.

You have left a bitter taste in my mouth time and time again, so it's time to pay you back is all. "Then my life can finally be as sweet as lemonade" he said while flashing his pearly whites.

After the assassin finished his boring monologue, Solomon asked why are you after me, I deserve to know why I'm going to be killed at least.

True, let's just say you know some things you're not supposed to.

"Like what" Solomon asked while lifting an eyebrow.

That Emilia is in an arranged marriage to pay her father's huge debt from gambling.

"What did you say" Asked a surprised Solomon

Noticing that the surprise on his face was genuine the assassin realized he had made a wrong assumption by assuming that Solomon knew the details.

Whereas for Solomon this was a discovery that he couldn't have expected to stumble upon in a thousand years.

In the mansion's study

Solomon looked at the assassin like he was the most stupidest person in the world for revealing such a core detail.

"This must be his first time on the job, poor guy" Solomon thought.

"I can feel you mocking me from all the way across the room, so it's time to make it quick and send you to the afterlife" said the assassin.

"Bring it on, dealing with you won't take up to 15 minutes of my time"

"Just because your rich makes you think you can say anything right? . I'll show you what I'm made of"

"Why does he keep talking like he knows me" he thought while moving towards the assassin?

"So you're finally ready to settle this, I look forward to your burial ceremony" the assassin chuckled

The assassin rushed towards him with the knife he brought along and slashed forward. Solomon reacted quickly by grabbing a chair to defend himself.

With the knife still embedded in the chair, Solomon attempted to use the chair to flip the assassin over. The assassin pulled out the knife and slashed Solomon's thighs while he was trying to make the flipping motion.

"Not such a pro now, eh smart ass" the assassin smirked before kicking Solomon.

"Shut up" Solomon growled. I'm fucking gonna kill you.

I would have believed that of you were armed but you're not.

"Your not that armed yourself"said Solomon.

"You think so" the assassin said before bringing out his gun.

"I'm beginning to think you're stupid, why didn't you shoot me in the first place. Whoever spent money on you must be the Earth's stupidest human ........"

Several gunshots fired in succession

"Don't you ever in your fucking life ever insult my uncle again" said the assassin.

While spitting out blood, Solomon said "So your uncle is that poor that he sent you to do the job. Well you've almost.... (Vomits blood again) you've almost succeeded."

"My parting gift to you would be to bullshit your family because they're freaking dumb, and I bet (Vomits consecutively) I bet that you're the ones controlling Emilia's dad. I'll kill all of you"

"Such a pitiful display from someone at death's door but I guess you didn't put much of a fight for someone who claims to be skilled in martial arts" said the assassin.

"Don't worry I'll make it nice and painful with this next shot don't want you haunting me from your grave" the assassin said while giving Solomon a playful wink.

"Oh, since your dying I can at least tell you that Emilia's father owes seven billion dollars. Don't be disappointed since your only a millionaire maybe it'll work out in your next life" he said before laughing like a third-rate villain.

"This is goodbye, Mr.rich. Hope you lived your life without regrets."

The assassin shoots the bullet

"Fuck you" Solomon says before dying.

Well, I couldn't fight to the death with him but at least I fought to the finish with my words . He thought while his dead face looked tranquil and at peace.
