Wolf Princess

Aria Meets Ayan for the First Time

Aria (to herself):

I knew I shouldn’t have come this far into the woods. But something… something was calling me. It didn’t feel dangerous, just… unknown. I can handle unknown.

(She pushes through the dense trees, hearing a stream in the distance. The sun begins to set, casting long shadows across the forest floor. She stumbles upon an old stone bridge, covered in moss.)

Aria (to herself):

This bridge… I’ve never seen it before, but it feels like I’m meant to cross it.

(She steps cautiously onto the bridge, her heart racing with both fear and excitement. Suddenly, she hears a rustle behind her. She whirls around, her breath catching in her throat.)

Ayan (calm, yet distant):

“You shouldn’t be here.”

Aria (startled):

“Who—who are you? And what do you mean I shouldn’t be here? This is just the forest…”

Ayan (stepping out from the shadows):

“This part of the forest doesn’t belong to you. It’s not safe. Especially not for someone like you.”

Aria (defiantly):

“Someone like me? I can take care of myself, thanks.”

(Ayan smirks, his gaze scanning the darkening woods behind them.)

Ayan:

“You’re more stubborn than I thought. But this place... it’s not what it seems. Trust me, you don’t want to find out what’s waiting on the other side of that bridge.”

Aria (stepping closer to Ayan):

“And why should I trust you?”

(Ayan’s eyes meet hers, a flicker of something unreadable passing over his expression.)

Ayan (quietly):

“Because I’ve seen it .

---

Aria (narrowing her eyes):

“You’ve seen it? What exactly are you talking about?”

(Ayan’s gaze flickers to the shadows creeping closer as the sun disappears behind the trees.)

Ayan:

“There are things in this forest, things you can’t imagine. And once you cross that bridge, you enter their world. They don’t take kindly to uninvited guests.”

Aria (crossing her arms, skeptical):

“You expect me to believe that? What, are you some kind of guardian of the forest or something?”

(Ayan smirks but there’s no humor in his eyes.)

Ayan:

“Something like that.”

(Aria takes a deep breath, her curiosity outweighing her fear. She glances at the bridge again.)

Aria:

“Look, I didn’t come here by accident. I felt… drawn. There’s something I need to find, something that’s been calling me. And I’m not leaving until I figure out what it is.”

(Ayan studies her for a moment, his expression unreadable.)

Ayan:

“You’re stubborn, I’ll give you that. But this isn’t just about you anymore.”

(He steps forward, standing between her and the bridge, his presence commanding. For a moment, Aria hesitates, her pulse quickening.)

Ayan (quietly):

“I’ve already broken the rules by being here, talking to you. If you cross that bridge, there’s no turning back. The world you know will never be the same.”

(Aria’s heart pounds in her chest, but something inside her is urging her forward. She looks up at Ayan, determined.)

Aria:

“I’ll take that risk.”

(Without waiting for his response, she brushes past him and steps onto the bridge. The moment her foot touches the moss-covered stone, a chill runs through her body. The air around them seems to shift, the trees whispering secrets in a language she doesn’t understand.)

(Ayan watches her for a moment longer, then curses under his breath and follows her onto the bridge.)

Ayan (muttering):

“Of course you would.”

(As Aria and Ayan cross the bridge, the air grows colder, and the light of the setting sun fades entirely. The forest ahead seems darker, as if the very life of the trees has been drained away. The ground beneath them turns from soft moss to stone. A strange mist rolls in, swirling at their feet.)

Aria (whispering, trying to stay calm):

“What is this place?”

(Ayan walks a few steps ahead of her, scanning the horizon with sharp eyes. His voice is low but steady.)

Ayan:

“It’s a borderland. Between the world you know… and the one you don’t.”

(Aria glances at him, unsure of what to say. Her heart races, but something about this place feels oddly familiar, like she’s been here before.)

Aria (tentatively):

“You said you’ve seen it before. What exactly did you mean?”

(Ayan doesn’t respond immediately. His expression hardens, and he looks like he’s wrestling with something inside him.)

Ayan (finally):

“I used to live here. In the other world.”

(Aria stops in her tracks, her eyes widening.)

Aria:

“Wait… what?”

(Ayan turns to face her, the weight of his words settling in the air between them.)

Ayan:

“I’m not just some stranger wandering the woods, Aria. I’m from the kingdom beyond this bridge. A place your world has forgotten.”

(Aria’s mind races, trying to process what he’s saying.)

Aria:

“You’re saying you’re from another… world? A kingdom?”

Ayan (nodding):

“And I left it. But now… I’m tied to it again. Because of you.”

(Aria’s breath catches. Her eyes narrow as a realization dawns on her.)

Aria:

“What do you mean, because of me?”

Ayan (stepping closer, his gaze intense):

“You don’t remember, do you? What brought you here… it wasn’t just curiosity. You’re connected to this place too, Aria. In ways you can’t imagine.”

(Aria shakes her head, confusion mingling with frustration.)

Aria:

“No, that doesn’t make sense! I’ve never been here before. I don’t know anything about this world, or—”

Ayan (interrupting, his voice firm):

“You were meant to come here. The call you felt—it’s been waiting for you.”

(Aria stares at him, her pulse quickening. Deep down, she knows he’s right. The pull she felt, the strange dreams she had before coming to the forest—it all points to something bigger. But what?)

(Before Aria can respond, a sudden, piercing howl echoes through the mist. Ayan’s expression shifts, his body tensing.)

Ayan (quietly):

“We’re out of time.”

(He grabs Aria’s wrist and pulls her off the bridge just as dark figures begin to emerge from the fog. They move swiftly, too fast to make out, but their presence is unmistakably menacing.)

Ayan (urgently):

“Run!”

(Aria’s feet stumble as she follows Ayan into the deeper parts of the forest. The creatures chase them, their glowing eyes cutting through the mist like knives. Aria’s breath comes in short gasps, fear gripping her chest.)

Aria (panting):

“What are they?”

Ayan (gritting his teeth):

“Hunters. They belong to the king.”

(Aria stumbles but Ayan pulls her up, his grip firm. The world seems to blur as they weave through the trees, the creatures gaining on them.)

Ayan (glancing over his shoulder):

“We need to get to the sanctuary. It’s the only place they can’t follow.”

(Aria nods, too out of breath to respond. The forest thickens, branches tearing at her clothes as they run. Just when Aria thinks she can’t go any farther, they break through into a clearing.)

(In the middle of the clearing stands an ancient stone structure, covered in vines and moss. Ayan pulls her toward it, his voice low and urgent.)

Ayan:

“Hurry, inside!”

(They rush into the stone sanctuary just as the hunters reach the edge of the clearing. A force seems to stop them, as if an invisible barrier keeps them from entering. Aria collapses onto the floor, gasping for air.)

Aria (breathing heavily):

“What… just happened?”

(Ayan leans against the wall, watching the hunters pace at the edge of the clearing.)

Ayan:

“They can’t cross into this place. It’s protected. For now, we’re safe.”

(Aria’s head spins. She looks at Ayan, who seems calm despite the danger outside.)

Aria (determined):

“Tell me everything. I need to know why I’m here. Why this world feels like I’m a part of it.”

(Ayan meets her gaze, his eyes filled with something like regret. He sighs and sits beside her.)

Ayan (softly):

“You are a part of it, Aria. You’re the key to everything.”

(Aria’s heart skips a beat.)

Aria:

“What do you mean?”

Ayan:

“You’re not just anyone, Aria. You’re the daughter of someone who once held great power in this world. And now, the king wants you back.”

(Aria stares at him in shock, her world spinning even faster.)

Aria (whispering):

“The king…? Who was my mother?”

Ayan (quietly):

“Queen Lylah. And your brother… is Elian.”

(Aria’s mind races as the truth starts to unravel. She’s not just a visitor here. She belongs to this world—its royal blood flows through her veins.)

Aria (shaking her head):

“No, that can’t be. My parents—Vivek and Rhea—they raised me…”

Ayan (gently):

“They raised you in your world to keep you hidden. To keep you safe. But now, your real family knows where you are.”

(Aria’s chest tightens as the weight of her identity settles on her.)

Aria (whispering):

“What do they want from me?”

(Ayan looks away, his voice barely a whisper.)

Ayan:

“They want you to take your place as the heir to the throne. To join them in their war against the kingdom’s enemies. But I… I’m not sure if that’s what you want.”

(Aria’s mind is a whirlwind of emotions, but one thing is clear—her life will never be the same again.)

Black Wolf:

(Aria sits in silence, the weight of Ayan’s revelation sinking into her. Everything she thought she knew about herself, her life, feels like it’s been ripped away. She looks up at Ayan, her voice soft but steady.)

Aria:

“So… I’m supposed to be some kind of princess? The heir to a throne I didn’t even know existed?”

Ayan (nodding):

“It’s more complicated than that, but yes. The king—your father—has been waiting for the right moment to bring you back.”

(Aria’s heart clenches at the thought. The man she thought was her father, Vivek, had always been kind and caring, but distant, as if he were carrying a secret. Now she understood why.)

Aria (softly):

“And my mother? Rhea?”

(Ayan’s gaze softens slightly, understanding the storm of emotions swirling in her.)

Ayan:

“They love you, Aria. They raised you to keep you safe. Queen Lylah and King Kael sent you away when the war started, to protect you from their enemies. Vivek and Rhea became your guardians, but… they always knew the day would come when you’d have to choose.”

Aria (shaking her head):

“Choose what?”

Ayan (his voice growing serious):

“To either claim your birthright and join the war… or stay hidden in the world you’ve known.”

(The words hang between them, heavy with meaning. Aria feels the weight of a decision she never asked to make. She rises to her feet, pacing the small space of the sanctuary.)

Aria (frustrated):

“How am I supposed to choose? I don’t even know these people! I don’t know this world. And now they expect me to just… become a part of it?”

(Ayan watches her, his expression unreadable. But then, for the first time, he softens, stepping closer to her.)

Ayan:

“I know it’s overwhelming. But you’re stronger than you think, Aria. You’ve felt the pull of this place your whole life, haven’t you? Like something was missing, something you couldn’t explain.”

(Aria pauses, her back to him. He’s right—there’s always been a part of her that felt like it didn’t quite belong in the world she knew. The dreams, the strange sense of being watched, the constant restlessness. It all made sense now.)

Aria (whispering):

“Yeah… I’ve felt it.”

(She turns to face him, her eyes filled with confusion and determination.)

Aria:

“But I don’t want to fight in a war. I don’t even know what this kingdom is like or who these enemies are. How can I be expected to lead?”

Ayan (his voice low):

“You don’t have to decide now. But the king’s enemies know you’re here. They won’t stop until they capture you, or worse.”

(Aria feels a chill run down her spine. The hunters outside the sanctuary are still circling, their eyes glowing in the mist. She looks out at them, the weight of her situation pressing down on her.)

Aria:

“And what about you? Where do you fit into all of this?”

(Ayan hesitates, his gaze distant as if he’s guarding his own secrets.)

Ayan:

“I… used to serve the king. But things changed. I can’t go back to that life.”

Aria (curious):

“Why not? What happened?”

(A shadow crosses Ayan’s face, and he doesn’t answer immediately. Instead, he steps closer to the entrance of the sanctuary, his back to her.)

Ayan (quietly):

“I lost someone. Someone I cared about. And now I’ve made a different choice.”

(Aria frowns, sensing the pain behind his words, but she doesn’t press him further. For a moment, the only sound is the low growl of the hunters outside. Then, Ayan turns to face her again, his expression resolute.)

Ayan:

“For now, we need to get you to safety. There’s a place deeper in the forest where they can’t follow. But it won’t be easy.”

(Aria nods, feeling the weight of her choices hanging over her. She knows she can’t go back to the life she once had, but she isn’t ready to claim a throne she never knew was hers. For now, survival is all that matters.)

Aria (determined):

“Okay. Let’s go.”

---

(As Ayan and Aria leave the sanctuary and head deeper into the forest, the mist thickens, and the trees twist in unnatural shapes. The further they go, the more Aria feels the strange pull intensify, like the forest itself is alive and watching them.)

(Suddenly, a flicker of movement catches Aria’s eye. She stops in her tracks, her heart pounding.)

Aria (whispering):

“Ayan… did you see that?”

(Ayan glances at her, then at the shadows between the trees.)

Ayan (quietly):

“Stay close.”

(They continue forward, but the presence in the trees seems to follow them, watching from a distance. Then, out of the mist, a figure emerges—tall, cloaked in dark armor, with glowing red eyes that pierce through the fog.)

Ayan (his voice tense):

“Stay back.”

(The figure steps forward, drawing a long, curved blade that gleams in the pale light. Aria’s breath catches in her throat as she realizes this isn’t a hunter—it’s something far worse.)

Ayan (gritting his teeth):

“A shadow knight.”

(Aria’s blood runs cold as the knight raises his sword, the air crackling with dark energy.)

Ayan (his voice low and urgent):

“Run, Aria. I’ll hold him off.”

Aria (shaking her head):

“I’m not leaving you!”

(Ayan draws his own sword, his eyes locking onto the knight’s.)

Ayan (firmly):

“You have to. Go now!”

(With no other choice, Aria turns and runs, her heart pounding in her ears. Behind her, she hears the clash of steel as Ayan battles the shadow knight, the sound of their swords ringing through the forest. She doesn’t stop running, tears blurring her vision as fear grips her. But then, a voice echoes through her mind, soft and familiar.)

Voice (whispering):

Aria…

(She stops, her breath hitching. The voice isn’t Ayan’s. It’s something else, something deep within her.)

Voice (gently):

Come to me…

(Aria’s chest tightens as she realizes the voice is coming from deeper within the forest—from the heart of the kingdom she’s been running from.)

Aria (whispering):

“What… what is this?”

(She knows now. It’s her mother—Queen Lylah—calling her home.

(Aria feels the call growing stronger as she runs deeper into the forest. Her legs burn, her heart races, but something inside her pushes her forward. She can still hear the distant clash of swords behind her, but Ayan’s voice is drowned out by the one in her mind, the voice of her mother.)

Voice (whispering):

Aria… find your true self…

(The trees around her seem to shift, growing denser and darker, as if they’re guiding her to a hidden place. Finally, she stumbles into a clearing illuminated by the faint light of the moon. In the center stands an ancient stone altar, covered in intricate carvings of wolves. Aria’s breath catches in her throat.)

Aria (whispering):

“What is this place?”

(The moment she steps toward the altar, the carvings seem to come to life, glowing faintly. A sharp howl echoes through the clearing, and suddenly, Aria feels a surge of energy rush through her body. She falls to her knees, clutching her chest as the transformation begins.)

(From the shadows of the trees, several wolves emerge, their eyes glowing with an eerie light. They circle the altar, their movements slow and deliberate, as if they’re waiting for something. Aria looks up, her vision blurring, her body trembling.)

Aria (gasping):

“What’s… happening to me?”

(She feels a sudden pain, like fire running through her veins, but along with the pain comes a powerful, primal instinct. It’s as if something deep within her is awakening, something wild and ancient.)

(The wolves stop their circling, one of them stepping forward—a massive black wolf with silver eyes. It stands before Aria, and she suddenly hears a voice inside her mind, not her mother’s, but something else.)

Black Wolf (calm, powerful):

You are one of us, Aria. You’ve always been. The blood of wolves runs in your veins.

(Aria stares at the wolf in disbelief, her heart pounding.)

Aria (whispering):

“How… how is that possible?”

(The wolf steps closer, lowering its head to meet her gaze.)

Black Wolf:

You are the Wolf Princess. The daughter of Queen Lylah, who once ruled this land with the power of the wolves. You were hidden away to protect you from those who would hunt your kind. But now, the time has come for you to claim your birthright.

(Aria’s mind spins as the truth hits her. She had always felt something wild within her, something she couldn’t explain. But now, it’s clear. She’s not just the heir to the throne—she’s part of a powerful, ancient lineage, one that connects her to the wolves of the forest.)

Aria (whispering):

“I’m… the Wolf Princess?”

Black Wolf (nodding):

Yes. And it is time for you to awaken that power.

(Suddenly, the other wolves begin to howl, their voices rising in unison. The air around Aria crackles with energy, and the carvings on the altar glow even brighter. She feels the fire in her veins surge, her body shaking as the transformation takes hold.)

(Her skin begins to tingle, her senses heightening. She feels her nails sharpen, her muscles grow stronger. Her eyes glow with a golden light as her body shifts, taking on the form of a wolf—but not just any wolf. She is larger, more powerful, her fur a mix of silver and black, her eyes fierce and bright.)

Aria (in her new form, gasping):

“I… I can feel it. The power…”

(The Black Wolf watches her, his voice calm.)

Black Wolf:

This is who you truly are. You are the Wolf Princess, the guardian of the forest, and the one who will unite both the human and wolf kingdoms.

(Suddenly, a familiar voice calls from behind her.)

Ayan (shocked):

“Aria?!”

(Aria turns, her glowing eyes locking onto Ayan, who stands at the edge of the clearing, sword in hand, staring at her in disbelief. His battle with the shadow knight has left him bruised, but the sight of Aria in her new form stops him in his tracks.)

Ayan (breathless):

“What… what are you?”

(Aria steps forward, her body still in wolf form, but her voice echoes in Ayan’s mind, clear and strong.)

Aria (telepathically):

I’m the Wolf Princess, Ayan. This is my true form.

(Ayan’s eyes widen, a mix of awe and fear flashing across his face.)

Ayan:

“I… I didn’t know.”

(Aria looks at him, her wolf instincts sharp, but her human heart still beating strong. She steps closer to him, her form shifting slightly, a blend of human and wolf as she stands before him.)

Aria (telepathically):

Neither did I. But this is who I am now. And I need your help, Ayan. The hunters are coming. The king won’t stop until he has me.

(Ayan hesitates, clearly struggling with the revelation, but there’s no time to waste. The howls of the hunters echo in the distance, growing louder as they close in.)

Ayan (determined):

“I’ll help you. But what do we do now?”

(Aria turns toward the black wolf, her new instincts guiding her.)

Black Wolf:

Lead them, Aria. The wolves will follow you. Take your rightful place.

(Aria nods, her resolve hardening. She turns to Ayan, her eyes fierce.)

Aria:

“We fight. Together.”

---

(As the hunters draw closer, Aria stands tall, her wolf form glowing with power. The wolves of the forest gather around her, their loyalty unquestioning. Ayan stands by her side, ready to defend her against whatever comes next.)

(Aria knows that the path ahead will not be easy. She must confront her past, her family, and the enemies of the kingdom. But now, she has the strength of the wolves behind her—and the power of the Wolf Princess within her.)

---

hunters

(As the howls of the hunters grow louder, the black wolf steps forward, his silver eyes glowing fiercely. Aria watches him, her mind racing. She feels a deep connection to this wolf, like he’s been protecting her long before she even knew of her true heritage.)

Black Wolf (telepathically):

I am Kaelen, the guardian of the royal bloodline. And I will fight by your side, Princess.

(Aria nods, feeling a surge of power through her veins. Kaelen is no ordinary wolf—he is ancient, powerful, and loyal to her family’s legacy. She turns to Ayan, expecting to see his usual determined expression, but instead, she finds hesitation in his eyes.)

Aria (confused):

“Ayan, what’s wrong?”

(Ayan’s jaw tightens, and for a moment, he can’t meet her gaze. His hand tightens around the hilt of his sword, and when he finally looks at her, his expression is one of deep conflict.)

Ayan (quietly):

“I… there’s something I haven’t told you.”

(Aria’s heart sinks, the growing sense of unease gnawing at her.)

Ayan (voice low, filled with regret):

“I was one of them. One of the hunters.”

(Aria steps back, her golden eyes widening in shock.)

Aria (in disbelief):

“What? Ayan… no…”

(Ayan shakes his head, his voice pained.)

Ayan:

“It was before I knew who you were, before I understood what the hunters really stood for. I was raised by them, trained to hunt down those with wolf blood. But when I learned the truth about you, about your family, I left them. I couldn’t do it anymore.”

(Aria’s breath catches, her mind swirling with the revelation. Ayan, the person who had saved her, fought beside her, had once been part of the very group hunting her kind.)

Aria (her voice trembling):

“You lied to me.”

(Ayan steps closer, desperation in his eyes.)

Ayan:

“I didn’t lie. I just didn’t tell you. I was trying to protect you. I couldn’t let you know about my past, not until I was sure I could keep you safe. But Aria, I swear—I’m not with them anymore. I’m here with you.”

(Kaelen growls, his massive form tensing as he steps between Ayan and Aria.)

Kaelen (growling telepathically):

You brought a hunter into our midst, Princess. He is dangerous.

(Aria feels torn, her emotions swirling between anger, hurt, and confusion. But before she can respond, the hunters break through the trees, their eyes glowing red in the mist. They are clad in dark, twisted armor, their weapons gleaming with silver, specially forged to kill wolves.)

Hunter Leader (grinning):

“There she is. The lost princess. And her traitorous protector.”

(Ayan draws his sword, standing beside Aria despite the weight of his past.)

Ayan (defiantly):

“I won’t let them take you, Aria. Not now, not ever.”

(Aria’s eyes narrow as the leader of the hunters steps forward, his presence chilling. He removes his helmet, revealing a cold, hardened face that Aria immediately recognizes from her nightmares—he is the one who has been hunting her, the man who has been after her family for years.)

Hunter Leader (sneering):

“You think you can protect her, Ayan? You think switching sides will save you?”

(Aria’s chest tightens, but before she can respond, Kaelen lets out a deafening howl, and the battle begins.)

Kaelen (roaring telepathically):

Fight with the strength of the wolves, Aria! Show them who you truly are!

(With a powerful leap, Kaelen launches himself at the hunters, his massive form crashing into the leader with a force that sends him flying back. The other wolves, led by Kaelen, charge at the hunters, their fangs flashing as they tear through the ranks of their enemies.)

(Aria feels her own power surge as she shifts fully into her wolf form, her senses sharper than ever before. She leaps into the fray, her claws slicing through the armor of one of the hunters. She fights with a ferocity she didn’t know she had, the strength of her lineage coursing through her veins.)

(Ayan fights alongside her, his sword clashing with the hunters’ weapons, but the battle is chaotic, and the hunters are relentless. They know Ayan’s weakness—they trained him, after all—and they fight with the intent to break him down.)

Hunter Leader (snarling as he clashes with Kaelen):

“You can’t win, wolf. The princess will be ours.”

(Kaelen’s eyes flash as he pins the leader to the ground, his teeth bared.)

Kaelen (growling):

You will never touch her!

(The hunter leader manages to push Kaelen off with a surge of dark magic, and he turns his attention to Aria. As she fights off another hunter, the leader closes in on her, his sword raised high.)

Hunter Leader (sneering):

“Time to end this, Princess.”

(But before he can strike, Ayan steps between them, blocking the attack with his sword. The force of the blow knocks him back, but he doesn’t falter. He looks at Aria, his eyes filled with determination.)

Ayan (yelling):

“Run, Aria! I’ll hold him off!”

(But Aria doesn’t run. Not this time. With a fierce growl, she lunges at the hunter leader, her powerful jaws closing around his arm and pulling him to the ground. The leader screams in pain as Aria rips the sword from his grasp, standing over him, her golden eyes blazing with power.)

Aria (telepathically, voice commanding):

You will never hunt my kind again.

(With a final surge of strength, Aria and Kaelen, fighting side by side, overpower the hunter leader, leaving him broken and defeated on the ground. The remaining hunters, seeing their leader fall, retreat into the shadows of the forest, their mission failed.)

(As the dust settles, Aria shifts back into her human form, breathing heavily. She looks at Ayan, who is wounded but alive, and then at Kaelen, whose silver eyes glow with approval.)

Kaelen (telepathically):

You are the Wolf Princess, Aria. You have proven yourself worthy of your title.

(Aria feels the weight of the moment, the power of her lineage flowing through her. She has fought for her people, for her identity, and for the future of her kingdom. But as she looks at Ayan, she knows that the hardest battles are still to come.)

Aria (quietly):

“We’re not done yet.”

(Ayan meets her gaze, his expression filled with both guilt and gratitude.)

Ayan:

“No. But we’ll face what’s next together.”
