I'm not that hungry though.
Rima knew that her friend was hungry but because she was there on scholarship she hardly ever had money to do anything else other than buy herself basic needs as she works as a janitor at an office building at night.

(squints her eyes) yeah...yeah funny.
On their way to the cafeteria they walked past a park. Nia was looking at the waterfall that was there and not where she was going. Before she even realized what happened the books she had in hand were already on the ground.
As she went down to pick the books up she saw a man standing in front of her. Well basically she saw his legs as they were in her face. She then slowly looked up just to be met by a pair of dark brown eyes looking right at her.
She immediately stood up.
Venny(ML)
Couldn't you watch where you were going?(irritated)
Nia(MC)
(Murmurs)As if you were.
Venny(ML)
Next time please do watch where you are going. I don't want to get all your dirt on my suit.(smirks a little before walking away)
Nia watched him walk away before groaning in anger.
Nia(MC)
(Annoyed)Ooh...he's such an as******, who the heck does he think he is? A king? I should have told him off. I take back my apology, he can go f*** himself for all I care.
When all this was happening Rima was standing on the side with an amused look on her face. In her head she was already shipping the two together. Nia's angry comments made her snap out of it.
Rima(MC's best friend)
Friend calm down, he's not even worth it. I mean look at him walking away in his perfectly tailored suit with his massive back and...(In dreamland).
Nia(MC)
Argh! Rima snap out of it already (snapping her fingers in front of Rima's face to bring her back to earth)
For a second Nia wondered who that man might be as he didn't look like he belonged in such an environment. Apparently he looked too rich.After Rima came back to earth they continued walking to the cafeteria to go have their lunch.

(Nervous) You called sir?

There's a girl I need you to find for me. She's in her early twenties, she attends school at Kempton college, and is an English major(saw one of her books). She has dark brown eyes, brunette hair and she looks like a Greek goddess. Oh and, her friend has blonde hair.
Ash(ML's PA)
*Well that narrows it down to at least 200 people!! Couldn't i choose a better career?*(felt like crying and screaming at the same time.) *A Greek goddess, really?*(sarcastic)
Ever since Venny met Nia he hasn't been able to stop thinking about her. There was something about her defiance that made him want to get to know her more. He found her fighter spirit refreshing especially because all the women he was surrounded by were submissive and mostly just interested in pleasing him for his money. Something about meeting someone who couldn't care less about his status seemed to pique his curiosity.

(Yawns)*I'm so tired, yesterday I had to work a double shift and then finish up my assignment. A girl can only do so much.*
Staci(Nia's mother)
📞: Hello my baby, how are you? How is everything that side?
Nia(MC)
📞: Everything is okay mom, what do you want?
Nia is very respectful especially to people deserving of her respect but with her mom things are different, when they were still living together she would beat her, call her names and blame her saying she was the reason why her father left and because of the constant abuse Nia grew to become indifferent when it came to her mother. She also knew that whenever she called was because she wanted money.
Staci(Nia's mother)
📞: You know you can be a little nice to your mom. I gave birth to you after all.I called because I wanted to tell you that I've arranged to get married into one of the richest families here, they are going to give me 5 million in exchange for your hand in marriage. The groom will come get you in 3 months and the wedding will be held the day after your arrival. From there on you will stay with your husband and do whatever he says.
Nia(MC)
📞: (shocked) What? How could you do all that without asking me first? I don't want to get married.(tearing up)
Staci(Nia's mother)
📞: Well unfortunately for you that is not your decision to make, I gave birth to you so I decide what you do with your life and my decision is final. Take this as a way of finally paying me back for all those years I spent raising an ungrateful bustard such as yourself. Make sure that in three months you are ready to leave the city and come back here, and don't even think of doing anything stupid otherwise you'll regret it .(Hangs up)
After her conversation with her mom, it took Nia quite some time to get back to her sense as she was still in shock. After all she had just found out just how far her mother is willing to go for money.
Nia(MC)
*Here I was thinking nothing she could say would ever leave me shocked. She really outdid herself this time. One thing is for certain I'm not going to marry who ever this mystery man of hers is, even if she drags me kicking and screaming*
After the call Nia showered and got ready to go to campus.
Off on the wrong foot
During the lesson Nia's mind kept wandering off to the conversation she had with her mother earlier that morning that she didn't even hear when the lecturer asked her a question.
Lecturer
Miss Voight do you mind sharing what has you so deep in thought during my lesson that it is preventing you from paying attention?
Nia(MC)
Umh..uh...(stammering) I'm so sorry ma'am (looks at Rima hoping she'd help get her out of the trouble she seemingly got herself in)
Rima(MC's best friend)
(Raises her hand)

Can you please explain the last two points again, I do not understand them.
With that all was forgotten and Nia was off the hook, although Rima mouthed 'you owe me' after, Nia put her hands together, a gesture she used to show that she was thankful.
As the lesson continued there was a knock on the lecture hall door and in walked, none other than Ash, the personal assistant of the City's most popular heartthrob, mostly well-known for his cold demeanor and his tactical and strategic approach when it comes to business. Let's just say that Mr Venny was known for being a ladies' man and always getting what he wanted.
Ash whispered something into the lecturer's ear and then turned to look where Nia was sitting.
Lecturer
Miss Voight please kindly follow this lady out to the dean's office.
Nia looked at Rima as she was standing up who also had a look of confusion on her face. She then quietly followed the strange woman who wasn't heading towards the Dean's office but to the parking lot.
When they got there Nia saw a black car with tinted windows packed there and as she approached it the do was opened by a man looked like the driver. When the door opened inside it revealed a man whose face Nia found familiar.
Nia(MC)
It's you! What do you want from me (she said after sitting down on a sit opposite Venny's)
Venny(ML)
Even a simple 'hello' is difficult for you.
Nia(MC)
It's not that it is difficult, I just find you undeserving? You are a mean, self-centered prick who think he owns the world.
Ash and the driver were shocked by Nia's words because for as long as they had worked for him no one had ever dared to say such things about their boss especially to his face.
Venny(ML)
Undeserving, huh?.. And you think you are better than I?(smirks)
Nia(MC)
By far. At least I don't walk around feeling myself a little too much as if I'm walking on a cloud. So, I'll repeat myself one last time. What do you want from me?
Ash(ML's PA)
*He's letting himself get insulted, and he's not even mad about it, how?*
Venny(ML)
I want you to be my girlfriend.(indifferent tone)
Both were shocked as they were not expecting him to say what he had just said.
Venny(ML)
(looks at Ash with a cold look)
Ash(ML's PA)
(Shyly looks out the window tapping her fingers on her thigh)
Nia(MC)
Are you crazy? What makes you think I'd say yes to that?
Venny(ML)
Because of the terms of our agreement.
Ash(ML's PA)
(Hands her a contract.)*I didn't know this was what he was planning*
Nia(MC)
Now I'm sure that you're crazy. What do you mean I'm not allowed to see my friends unless I tell you first, and you permit it? You're the only man I'm allowed to be seen with in public, what?
Venny(ML)
That contract states that you will be acting as my girlfriend for three months, and during this period we will be acting like a true couple kissing, hugging, and all that affection stuff in public but when we are alone we both do our own things separately. From the time you agree to be my girlfriend until the termination of the contract I'll be taking care of you financially and I'll give you everything you want. And yes, you are not allowed to be seen with any other guy in public and you will report everything that you want to do to me before you do it. It is clear?

I'm not doing this, go find someone else who can deal with all this madness for you (stomps her way back to the lecture hall)
