Killer Apartment
Chapter 1
Quinn rushed around his flat. It was his first day at work, and he was already late.
The old building creaked as he moved—it was small, had no lift, and felt like it might fall apart any day.
He said, grabbing his bag
Quinn
“I’ll work hard to fix my life and make everything better.”
He ran out the door and down the stairs.
As he turned a corner, he bumped into someone.
The person’s bag fell to the ground with a loud thud.
The kaiza said sharply, staring at Quinn.
Quinn bent down to pick up the bag
Kaiza
“Where are you going?
Quinn handed over the bag, feeling awkward.
Quinn
Sorry again. I really didn’t mean to—”
He took the bag and walked away without a word.
Quinn
Great start to the day
Quinn muttered as he hurried down the stairs.
Chapter 2
At work, Quinn sat at his desk while his colleagues chatted loudly about the share market.
The topic didn’t interest him, and the noise made him feel uneasy.
He decided to step outside for some fresh air.
The balcony was quiet, and the cool breeze was refreshing.
He leaned against the railing, trying to calm his nerves.
Cheerful voice called out.
Quinn turned to see a girl standing nearby.
She had a playful smile and seemed eager to chat.
He replied, keeping his tone neutral.
She said, stepping closer
Izumi
What’s going on? Work stress?”
Quinn
I’m just settling into a new flat.
Izumi
Oh, new in town? That’s exciting,”
She said, leaning slightly toward him. “
Quinn
I’ll handle it myself
Izumi
I’m pretty good at organising.
Quinn gave her a polite smile.
Quinn
Thanks, but I’ll manage. I’ve got to finish unpacking fast.
Quinn
My stuff’s everywhere.
Izumi
Well, if you change your mind
Quinn nodded and excused himself, feeling like the conversation was getting too personal.
Later, on the metro ride home, Quinn couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was watching him.
He glanced around but didn’t see anything unusual.
Quinn
( Probably just my imagination )
When he reached his flat and unlocked the door, he stopped in his tracks.
Everything was spotless. The boxes were unpacked, and all his belongings were perfectly organised.
Confused, he went downstairs to the building owner.
Quinn
Did you… clean my apartment or something?
The owner looked up from his newspaper.
Building Owner
Oh, no. Your neighbour asked me to do it. Said you’d be too busy to unpack.
Building Owner
Yes, the lad next door,
Building Owner
He seemed pretty serious about it.
Quinn stood there, puzzled. He hadn’t even spoken to his neighbour yet.
Chapter 3
Quinn stood outside his neighbour’s door, knocking firmly.
He knocked again, harder this time. Still nothing.
Frustrated, he almost shouted,
Quinn
Hey! Are you in there?
Just as he was about to leave, he heard footsteps behind him. Turning quickly, he saw his neighbour standing there, calm and unbothered.
Quinn
Why did you unpack my stuff?
Kaiza
Because you needed it
Quinn
Needed it? Did I ask you for help?”
Kaiza said casually, leaning against the wall.
Kaiza
But as your neighbour, it’s my duty to help.
Quinn
I don’t need your help
Quinn
You didn’t even apologise!
Quinn
Don’t touch my stuff again
Quinn
That’s your last warning
He turned and walked into his apartment, shutting the door behind him without another word.
Quinn stood there for a moment, fuming.
he muttered before heading back to his flat
