Lily
Good morning sleepyhead...(Put the hot pancake in the plate)
Erica
Thank you! (get the pancake and shove in the mouth)
Lily
Being a grade 11 student while working surely will make you old at that age... (get a cigarette and light with lighter while sitting in front of the small table where Erica is eating. )
Erica
Lily my dear, I always told you that cigarette will not make all your problems away! (snatch the cigarette in Lily's lips before she would inhale it.)
Lily
What's the point of studying when you can just use your body to earn money ? (shoving a pancake in her mouth)
Erica
(Inhaled deeply that her shoulders went up and down) Thank you for the invitation, but you knew that I have a protective boyfriend right?
Lily
Oh you mean David? The poor little rabbit that always hanging out with you ...
Erica
(Rolled her eyes) First David is not a rabbit and second he is always worried about me that he always to drop me home every day , lastly what's wrong with him? He is one of the top student in our school. (Begins to collect the plate from the table.)
Narrator
The reason why Erica's hair is short is that she is fed up with everything around her. She grew up in a house full of prostitutes, the moment she knew how to identify faces and to write her own name she always hears the same words from her surrounding. " Why bother go to school, just be naked and earn money. " Etc... so hearing such words from Lily was not new to her.
Episode 2
Erica
(While washing the plates and cups) Lily.... Do you think my mother still thinks of me? Do you think she is guilty of leaving me in this place ?
Narrator
The surrounding have become silent
Lily
(Clenched her fingers) I am not the right person to answer that question because honestly she is just another bitch who lets you live for nine months in her belly and abandoned you in this place.
Erica
(Smiled)But you know what Lily? Sometimes I am really thankful that I grew up here with you. I don't know how to call it, but you became my comfort, and you are always in my thought.
Lily
(One eyebrow went up) I know. Who wouldn't be lucky in my presence?
Narrator
They both laugh in the morning.
As usual the surrounding became bright when the most beautiful muse of the school walk in the corridor with her group.
Both boys and girls are staring at her with amusement .
Erica is with David at that time and his eyes is fixed to Therese direction, Erica cannot complain because she finds her attractive as he does.
David
(He shakes his head disappointed) I don't understand why she wears that short skirt and revealing her body too much publicly. TSK. TSK.TSK.
Erica
Atleast she is being herself. ( She smile)
Episode 3
David
Anyway have you decided which university you will go? Being the fourth out of top 10 smartest in our school I hope you have already decided what you wanted for your future.
Erica
(A bit of silence) I... to tell you the truth David, I haven't decided yet.
David
Well, that is not a surprise at all. I have listed all the universities that offering scholarship. Thinking about your situation and everything, I know this will be the best for you.
Erica
(Bite her lower lips) I saw you and your mother yesterday in the coffee shop that I am working, I served you the coffee...
David
Oh! that ?! Yeah! Yeah! I didn't know that my mom happen to be in that mall with her friends and she saw me, she likes the coffee in your place anyway.
Erica
I'm glad. (smile awkward)
ERICA POV:
Why did he not introduced me to his mom that moment? He said, and he promised that he'll introduce me one day. (Shakes her head) Maybe, maybe he is just taking the right timing. Come on Erica don't think bad about him, he's a smart guy, and you know that. He's planning everything carefully. That's it! He must be planning something for the right time to introduce her mother to me.
Narrator
Erica is with Therese for tutoring in the library .
Therese
I hate this subject, you know that right?
Erica
You have told me , that is why you pay me to teach you.
Therese
Ugh! Is there anything else in your mind besides studying?!
