The day starts like this.....who am I kidding, i just got a massage from Cambridge University, where I'm to study mining engineering haw great is that, of all my peers I stood out and was given admission and very soon I'll be admitted. This is the best news I can give mom ever since dad was taken away by the cruel hands of death leaving me to pick up the pieces, because mom never recovered from the shock, and being a housewife and all. I'm also very glad that my parents only want one child which was me, otherwise mom would have died of thinking on were to start.

My way home I was so happy even old Mark Reynolds was it on my face and smiles, which made me confused, because right from when I was a kid the old man didn't like people especially kid and teenagers, which also made me scared and wondered why he was smiling at me, I thought ....old man I don't know what you're smoking out of that pipe, but I'm off the grip.l smiled back and greeted I don't want to be rude.

Mummy!mummy!! Panting while I shouted her name, my mother was scared to her me shouting that hard to she ran out of the kitchen, were I could smell my favorite food cooking, but the only thing that matters is the letter i was holding in my head, honey was wrong are you okay my mother sweet voice obstructed my thoughts,

I looked up and saw my mother looking so worried, my mom was a woman that hard a dark skin that glow like diamond well polished and had cat eyes, umbrella lips with the perfect height and shape coupled with that she had a straight long black hair...you do the aftermath of haw she looks and haw her daughter.me… Will look like with satisfactory smiles I handed her the letter

what's this? if its another bill just drop it on the table, mummy yes its a bill but one we will have joy paying i saw confusion and fear in her

Mama could not hold her joy, but she decided to go through the formalities of reading the letter,

The Administration of Cambridge University is given you a notice that your admission to Cambridge University has been approved. Thus, we will commence registration of new intake on, 12th of September, miss Andy Lucy we await your recommendation

my mother was so excited she hung me so tight, i felt my bones cracked literally. i started imaging what life will be like in England.

Andy Lucy, went to bed with a tomy full of excitement. she didn't eat, even upon knowing that her mother cooked her favourite food, and this time mummy did not force her, for once in a long while she felt her mum understood her.

Andy while arranging her bed,heard the sound of the lock on the door opened, turning she saw her mother's face, it looked like a proud mother looking at her child who has achieved hevean.

muma to be honest I'm having a mixed feeling, fear of the fact that I'm living home to a foreign land, even though Scotland is not to far from England.

I'm wondering haw I'll be accepted, will day be respective or disdainful welcome me,

i was just wondering were we'll get sufficient money to pay for the registration.

on second hand, I'm happy because i will be studying at one of the best schools in the world!and I'll get to meet people of different mindset and schools of thought.

I woke up early the next morning, after preparing myself, coming down stares surprised to see my mum already waiting for me, I just smiled and greeted her, good morning mum, mum just smiled at me and asked, are you ready snow?.....wait its only daddy that calls me that, my face grew a little sour,

As if mummy could read my mind,…I miss him to snow

On entering the bank, mummy told me she had already called daddy's manager to inform him that we were coming,

So I wasn't to surprise to see him at the receptionist corner, but I was expecting to see an elderly man, but to my disappointment he was younger than I envisaged.

He welcomed us Warmly and without any hesitation led us up to his office, which felt like a long trip through the elevator, because of my anticipation.

When we finally reached he offered us a sit which! I was unwilling to accept,

I just wanted to take the money what ever amount it is and leave

Because I wasn't expecting the sum to be enough for my expenses, but it will help a great deal

Miss Andy noticed her daughter Lucy was still standing after she was offered a seat

Miss Andy felt that was rude apologizing on Lucy's behalf, and turned to her daughter, giving her that ordering looks, compelling her to accept Mr Mike kind gesture,

I was unwilling to seat, but I was not going to get into my mother's bad books

So I quietly sate down

After much talk between miss Andy and Mr Mike, i didn't understand much but the only part I picked was when Mr Mike said his last sentence,

ma I understand,but your husband left a direct statement that until his beloved daughter is up to the age of 23 years before we let go of all his property's for her to handle

but for now I'm afraid you will have to do with out

my mother's facial expression was not comforting at all,

me and mummy left the house with nothing and came back from the bank with nothing,

all my hopes, expectations and joy where croshed it felt like a pine was perusing my heart,
