Ayla walks into the small café near her college, hoping to find a quiet corner to study. Her usual spot is taken, so she reluctantly grabs a table by the window. She pulls out her textbooks and laptop, settling in for another long night.

[walking in, scanning the room]

Looks like my usual spot's taken too. Guess I'll have to improvise.
Ethan, a well-dressed man in his early thirties, enters the café, looking slightly out of place in his tailored suit. He spots Ayla sitting alone at a table for two and walks over.

[clears throat]

Excuse me, mind if I sit here? The place is packed, and I don’t think I’ll find another seat.
Ayla glances up, surprised. She studies him for a second—he definitely doesn’t look like the typical café crowd—but she’s too tired to care.

Sure, I guess. But I’m buried in notes, so I won’t be much company.
Ethan Carter
That’s fine. I won’t be here long. Just need a place to sit while I wait for my coffee.
They sit in silence for a while, Ayla trying to concentrate on her work, and Ethan scrolling through his phone. Every now and then, he glances at her, intrigued by how focused she seems despite the obvious exhaustion on her face.

Ethan raises an eyebrow, amused by her frustration.

Ethan laughs softly, but doesn’t elaborate further. Ayla notices he’s still being vague about what he actually does, but she shrugs it off, too focused on her studies to probe further.

Ethan hesitates for a second, but then smiles.
