The setting was a gloomy scene, he saw it clearly, the figure in front of him, it was neither a man nor a beast, it was more like a demon, He was surrounded by a grayish fog filled with a bloody scent, the movement of the grayish fog seemed to carry endless wails of people being tortured, it looked like a scene from hell.

In front of him was the image which seemed to be about twenty foot tall, the vague outline of the object showed that the object was in the shape of a throne , and there was a gigantic figure sitting there, with it's right hand supporting it's jaw, though he couldn't see the figure clearly, he felt that it was sleeping or it's best to say the figure was in hibernation.

He wanted to see what the figure that measured up to a two story building height was, so he stepped forward, without moving his gaze away from the figure in front of him

It was at that moment he felt the fog rush up to his face, blocking his vision, but it instantly cleared up a second later, He would never forget the vision he saw, He saw a meter throne made up of human like skeletons, the armrest were made of gigantic human heads exuding a tyrannical breath, the weird thing was that the skeleton's head was golden in color not white, when he brought his gaze to the figure sitting on the throne, he felt tremendous amount of pressure acting upon his body in an instant, it was like gravity was pulling him to the ground, to prevent him from taking another glance at the creature

The figure on the throne was about fifteen foot tall, its body was covered in darkness, or to be accurate, dark flames, it's body was huge and it's exposed arms had a metallic luster to them they were silvery in color but those arms had blood red veins squirming on top of it, the Creature's face was like that of a human skull covered with a hood-like black flame, it's eyes were empty like it was filled with darkness, it's mouth had protruding fangs on its lower jaw, they were so huge and were in the shape of an elephant's tusk, but those fangs had blood red runes on it.

But what gave him the greatest visual impact was that this god-like creature seating on the throne was bound with golden chains burning with white flames, the chain wound around him in a cross like manner on its chest pinning it down to the ground, and when he looked down he saw that at the foot of the throne, there was a circular diagram which looked like a formation flickering with golden light.

When he tried to move closer to see the formation clearly, he suddenly felt the pressure that was acting on him multiplied by a hundred fold, pressing him to the ground till he was kneeling, all his bones were cracking and screaming for help, his blood flow seemed to stagnate, his back was drowned with cold sweat because he felt a terrible gaze looking down at him, then he heard a harsh and thick voice that filled the void which made it seem like the voice was being spoken from all directions

"Presumptuous, a mere mortal wants to pry into the secrets of this Deity " The creature scolded, it empty hollowed eyes brightened with a red bloody color, staring at him with disdain, like a God looking at an ant, then the creature leisurely pointed it's left arm index finger towards his direction, this little action of his increased the pressure on him multiple times untill the moment he felt his whole body was about to explode.

It was when he felt like he was truly about to explode did he feel his whole body covered with a warm golden layer, dispelling the pressure acting upon him, then his vision went blank, but before he fainted he clearly heard the creature laughing out loud

"....the immortal body.... hahahaha....just what this Deity needs"

He found himself in an area filled with darkness, but when he looked in front of him, he saw a golden light, but this golden light was in the shape of a woman, who looked at him and sighed, then he heard a voice filled with endless regret

"your existence has been exposed......run....run...protect yourself... Luke...Luke" The golden woman murmured, his name kept echoing till his vision went blank.

"Luke......Luke.....Luke...wake up...bro ..wake up" Luke felt someone kicking his seat from below in order to wake him up, jumping in shock, his eyes were still drowsy, the Creatures image overlapping with the image of the person in front of him

"Monster!!!!!" Luke screamed

"Ooh I am a monster", a very irritating voice was heard, which made Luke regain his clarity only to see a middle-aged man with an ugly expression looking straight at him, eyes filled hostility

"Mr Mayweather, it seems you didn't get enough rest last night"

_ooh shit..., I must have slept off again_

Luke looked around only to see his fellow classmates looking at him with odd looks, most of it were filled with disgust, some were filled with ridicule, some had sneers on their faces

"Teacher Ortega ...umm sorry I wasn't sleeping I just decided to close my eyes for meditation to reflect on your teachings...cough...cough " Luke said awkwardly.

"Oh really, then tell me Mr Mayweather, what was the last statement I made" Teacher Ortega asked coldly

_ Shit, can't this dude just let things go_

"ummm....I think you said ...Mr Mayweather, it seems you didn't get enough sleep yesterday night" Luke said smiling wryly, he was already in a bad mood regarding the weird vision he just saw and he pretty much knew he was going to get detention with him sleeping in class, so why not infuriate this bald white monkey, he had always been sick of this racist bald monkey, who always made things hard for him just because he of his skin color.

"ooh, is that funny Mr Mayweather" Teacher chuckled evilly, "Well then detention, you are not going home till six today " he said as he turned back ready to go back to the black board in front of the class to resume his lecture.

"ummm, Mr Ortega can I get detention too..." a silly voice interrupted Teacher Ortega footsteps, Ortega turned around to see a handsome 16 year old blonde teen raising his hand sitting behind Luke

"(sighs).....Daniel why do you have to do this" Ortega sighed helplessly, he knew who this student was, it was Daniel Friccs, the only son of the Mayor in the Mandeville, he couldn't afford to offend such a big shot, "Daniel, you know you really do not have to waste your time with someone like Mr Mayweather, you were born for greatness, while his kind were born to be the scum of the society, taking drugs and all that.." before he finished speaking he was interrupted by Daniel

"...am sorry but who do you think you are to decide his fate, just because of his skin color, it does not mean he was born to be the scum of the society.."

"But Daniel you do not understand, over seventy percent of his kind are all criminals, and they are the cause of the situation in Mandeville and as the son of the Mayor I am sure you are aware of this more than anyone, and it's safe to assume that they are all of the same flock, that is why you need to focus on your upcoming exam to college, you shouldn't waste your time with wastes like him" Teacher Ortega stressed the waste part as he took a glance at Luke

Luke, the subject of their discussion just sat down there looking out the window, like it wasn't any of his business, he had already gotten used to his classmates and teachers taunting him, and he also knew they were doing all this to make him lose his cool and fight back thereby giving them a reason to expel him.

"Teacher Ortega, did you see Luke with those so-called criminals or has he done anything detrimental to the school..." Daniel questioned back

"...no...no, he didn't, but there isn't any difference between him and those scum and he will sooner or later become like them" Teacher Ortega spoke back

"how so.." Daniel stared at Ortega, his eyes filled with hostility and his tone gradually became cold

Teacher Ortega had beads of sweat flowing like a waterfall on his face, he knew he had completely angered Daniel Friccs, but he couldn't back down now in front of his students, he had to stand his ground

"I mean take a look at his Father, the man was shot dead at the lake, come on, I am pretty sure he made dealings with those gang family and got killed, like they say Like Father Like Son..." Teacher Ortega spoke while looking at Luke with mockery written all over his face but it was at that moment his eyes made contact with Luke's golden colored eyes, for a moment he felt his whole body tighten up and he saw a pile of dead bodies stacked upon each other like a mountain, giving off a formidable aura like demons from asura hell, his whole body was soaked in sweat in an instant, he felt like he was dropped in an ice cave left starving for millennials, Ortega stumbled back in and fell to the ground while staring at Luke in fear.

"Do not speak... about my Father like that..." Luke stressed those words slowly which was filled with intense killing intent, his voice was like the grim reaper coming to harvest people's lives, his whole temperament changed from the jovial type to an ice cold one

The action of Ortega falling to the ground left the students confused as they stared at their teacher with odd looks.

Feeling the criticizing looks from his students, Ortega fumed with rage and embarrassment, stood up in anger and rushed towards Luke to hit him

"who do you think you are to threaten me little boy" Ortega screamed loudly as he raised his hand ready to give Luke a smack in the face but his hand was caught mid-air by Daniel who looked at him coldly

"Assault on a student of the school is a serious offense, Mr Ortega hope you know that, you could lose your job for that" Daniel spoke as he gripped Ortega's hand tightly, broken bones sounds could be heard from Ortega's wrist

Feeling the pain from his wrist, Ortega had no choice but to let the matter go and scoffed "ok, I will spare you today little boy" He said as he glared at Luke before walking back to the front of the class to continue his lecture.

"you ok bro" Daniel asked Luke standing next to Luke's desk

"yh, yh, am cool, thanks men....it seems pretty cool to be a Friccs" Luke smiled jokingly at his only friend in Daybreak high, Daniel had been the only one he had ever talked to and related with in this high school, because most of his classmates were bloody racist and this clouded their judgement, for example he himself in terms of appearance was handsome with his tall and slim but well proportioned body and his golden coloured eyes which he had since birth, his looks even surpassed Daniels by a small margin, he was meant to be the school hunk, but the students here do not care about that, the only thing they see is his skin color, hence the ridicule and contempt

"But you this is all your fault why would you come to an all "White's school", you are just begging for trouble" Daniel glared at Luke

"I know.....I know, I just had to come here since it was the best school in terms of academics, and I need a good result for college"

"so bro, which college are you going to.." Daniel asked Luke as he took his seat

"ummm, the non-racist type" Luke chuckled loudly for the nearby students to hear, they all turned back to look at him with disgust, like they were looking at a pest.

"ha ha ha, very funny, but don't blame them actually, because most of the robberies and murders going on in the city are pretty much done by the gangs in the city, and most of them are black.......soo... they hold a grudge" Daniel voice trailed off.

"alright, forget about this,... the college I am going to is Oasis college"

"seriously bro, you want to go to the newly built college, that's where my Dad is sending me to....., I heard it's actually nice, my Father said the college curriculum is different from that of normal colleges, it practically a city, the courses are different, the facilities are not bad,... but the tuition is quite expensive... so umm should I ask my dad to help you..." Daniel added

"ooh, don't worry about that, before my dad's. accident..... he was practically one of the founders of the college, he was the one responsible for the construction, so I am exempted from paying tuition, but I would be responsible for my feeding and clothing that's all" Luke added

"well that's cool, it's settled, then we are going to Oasis college" Daniel shouted wildly, his silly attitude attracted some glares from his classmates, then Daniel leaned towards Luke's face from the back and whispered

"hey Luke do you think they would have casinos in the college"

This is where Daniel's problem comes in, he was practically a gambling addict, if he had the chance he might have sold his Father's house as a stake just to gamble.

"hell no, you are not allowed to go near a casino, that's what caused a problem between me and your Father, he thinks I am "rubbing" off on you" Luke scolded him back

Feeling wronged Daniel decided to change the subject "forget about the casino or probably the school, cause there's a physical test for males if you want to get into the college, but you are so thin and weak Luke, you are like a pile of bones, you seriously have to start working out bro"

"shit, that's true, don't worry I will "try" to go to the gym" just as Luke finished speaking he heard the bell, signifying the end of the day in high school, Luke jumped up and grabbed his bag in a hurry and ran towards the door before turning and said "Daniel I have to go to my dad's firm to collect his rest of his items in the office" he spoke in a hurry, just as he was about it leave the class he heard the the one voice he hated the most

"Mr Mayweather, I said you have detention today, you are not leaving till six today, now get back to your seat" Teacher Ortega grinned evilly

Luke groaned loudly, cursing multiple times in his mind, before heading towards his seat, "So Daniel which course do you plan on taking in the Oasis college"

"since there are only four courses in the college, I would......" before Daniel finished his sentence he was interrupted by Luke

"wait....wait......wait, there are only four courses" Luke was confuse, because his Father never told him that the college only had four courses

Daniel laughed loudly seeing Luke's panicked expression "Relax, the school has a space program course, but yes the college has four courses, but they have branches, the four courses are The Space program, The Construction program, The Combat program and the The Commercial and Technological program"

"what the hell what type of courses are those" Luke added

"Hope you know that the Oasis college is a private college that is in a collaboration with NASA, my dad told me that, one of the founders discovered a new type of mineral in the depths of the earth, my Father said that the mineral they found was the most miraculous type to ever come to existence "

"oooh what's so miraculous about a rock, can it talk" Luke teased Daniel

"Dude I am serious, they said the mineral is the hardest substance in the world, but that's not all, the mineral gives of a weird energy which can at least power a city for a decade without stopping, and that's for just a two feet tall part of the mineral, the original mineral they found was about the size of a car, but the miraculous function of the mineral was that it duplicates any element it finds itself in.

like the experiment the founders tried, they placed a piece of the mineral into a tube filled with oxygen then they sealed the tube, but the tube had a hole where oxygen can be passed out, to their surprise no matter the amount of oxygen sucked away from the tube, it was as if it could never finish, then they tried it for different elements including electricity, hence they created a new type of technological system "

"wow.......but what does that have to do with NASA" Luke was confused at this point

"They said the rock should be a meteorite that came from space and it's most likely to be from Mars, so NASA and the founders of the college decided to create a space program, to go on an expenditure to mars, hence the Space program, the Construction program is mainly based on architecture and archeology, it's meant to train the students the way of excavating and building strongholds on mars if the expenditure is successful, and the Commercial and Technological Program is just about business and advancement of technology because the college wants to build a city on Mars so as to ensure steady importation of the mineral so the commercial department is responsible for any form of trading between the city and those on Earth"

"hiss...... it seems the trip to mars is real, but what's the function of the Combat program then" Luke was shocked, his Father never told him about the real objective of the college

Daniel looked around to see if there was anyone eavesdropping, luckily the school period had ended they were the only ones left in the class, even Teacher Ortega had left the class,

"Haven't you heard, NASA found a different type of species on Mars, they said they were in different forms but similar to that on earth and there were even humanoid creatures, but they couldn't see the true identity of the species.... "

"shit, so that means there is indeed life on Mars, the fictional movies are actually real" Luke screamed in shock

"shhhh, don't speak out loud " Daniel covered Luke's mouth with his hand

"This is a top secret information NASA, it has not been made public, it was my uncle in NASA that told my dad about this" Daniel whispered, "So the Combat Department is to recruit strong students and teach them martial arts as a form of protection"

"Martial arts....(hisses).... why can't they just give us a gun, then we blow the brains out of those squeaky little monsters"

Daniel laughed at Luke's ignorance "the reasons why guns are not allowed is that there's a high probability guns won't have any effect on those monsters, because they might have a strong body since they are able to survive in the harsh environment of Mars and we are not sure whether guns would have effect or not"

"But what will we use to fight off those creatures" Luke added

"That I am not sure, but my Dad said they are probably going to create weapons from the mineral they found since it's the hardest substance in existence, but I am sure it will be dope as hell, but what I know is that The Space and Combat Program are compulsory, while the commercial and construction program are not" Daniel paused to take a sip from his bottle of water before continuing

"This is the reason why I said you need to go to the gym, because since you are going to the college you need to be physically fit"

Luke sat there dumbfounded as he watched Daniel ramble on and on, then his expression became weird

"Bro isn't this a suicide mission, there would be a lot of risk, we might even get killed"

Daniel chuckled awkwardly "why did you think my Father is sending me to the college, he is trying to get me out of his life "

Luke's expression became even more strange "So that means the people going to the college will probably be delinquents, or even juveniles, I am sure they would mostly be males" Luke's had the urge to tear up "doesn't that mean that, there will be no beautiful girl, that means no love in college.....ouch" before Luke finished speaking Daniel already smacked him at the back of his head

"shut up bro, we are talking about space and Technological advancement, you are here thinking about women" Daniel looked at him in disgust

"it's easy for you to say, I already suffered in Daybreak high, no romance, I can't let it happen again in college" Luke looked wronged.

Luke and Daniel continued their conversation till it was six in the evening, the weird thing was that Teacher Ortega never came back to check on them, so they left the school premises.

Luke ran to the garage at the back of the high school, to retrieve his motorbike, a black 1998 Yamaha YZF-R1, which was given to him by his father as his 16 year old birthday, putting on his helmet he drove away at high speed, heading towards Greensburg, which was about an hour drive from Mandeville, stopping at the entrance of a skyscraper that seems to be be touching the clouds, it was one of the largest in the city, in front of the building was a huge signboard with the company's name printed on it, Mayweather Firm, at the entrance of the company stood two well-built middle-aged men playing the roles of guards.

Seeing Luke coming down from his motorcycle, one of the friendly looking guard walked over to Luke with a smile hanging all over his face, but if one should look closely there was a sense of panic hidden within, "Luke, what's up" the guard reached out for an handshake with Luke, Luke also noticed the difference in the guard, but decided to play along as he reached out to his handshake

"Francis, I am fine, woah bro you have gotten bigger,.....(chuckles) it seems like you are being treated right" Luke exclaimed as he connected the handshake to a bear hug, then he turned to look at the other guard who kept a stern face at the corner of his eye "when did we get a new guard..."

"Luke don't act weird just follow my lead"Francis whispered to Luke while they were hugging,

"hahahaha....... it's all thanks to your Father's company, it's been long time little boy Luke let's go, tell me more about high school, the ladies" Francis chuckled as he interlocked his arms with Luke's

Luke's expression changed lightly as Francis was acting weird today, but he decided to act along, grinning wildly, "hahaha....it's true, let's go, my treat"

"I will be right back.." Francis turned to the other guard at the entrance before dragging Luke to the nearest food stall at the back in the district, Francis ordered two bottles of soft drinks before taking a seat on an empty table, before whispering "Luke things are not looking good for you in this company, your Dad's best friend Andrew has been calling the shots around here like he owns the place, and anyone who disagrees with him gets fired, I also heard that he has gotten more than half of the board of directors on his side, he plans to sell the company's biggest real estate project in the city, he claims it's to gain funds for other projects.... "

Luke was shocked by this news because it had only been about five months since the death of his Father ad now his manager wants to sell the Mayweather biggest project, he was practically trying to destroy the company's foundation and run away with the profit gained from the trade, and the worst fact was that his Father's former residence was located in the real estate area, this action of his Father's manager completely infuriated him.

"what!!......and the board of directors agreed, this is clearly theft, I have to stop this" Luke said hurriedly as he was about to storm off into the company, but Francis held him on his arm motioning him to stop

"what do you want to do, if you dare challenge Andrew, I guarantee that you won't see the light of the day tomorrow, you cannot do anything legally against him as you are underage, you have no right to change the decision of the board.... " Francis glared at him

"...wait but I am the successor to my Father's company, I am practically a major shareholder, so why can't I change the decision" Luke was confused at this moment

Francis chuckled lightly, looking at Luke like an idiot "You are still a child, you do not know the way things go around in business, let me tell you the only reason why I am helping you is because of your Father, because he helped me and raised me from the streets that's why I want to help you, look until you turn 18 you can not legally obtain right to the shares if the company, and that's why Andrew is in a rush to sell the company..." Francis looked around to check their surroundings to see if someone was peeping.

"look the only thing you can do is to let your Aunty at Mandeville help you get your shares, then you pull out of the company, that is the only way you can gain something and this itself has a lot of risk.." Andrew whispered slowly

At this point Luke was completely flustered "what other risk could there be..."

"kid, do you think every business is done legally, if you think so then you are dumb, how do you think Andrew managed to convince the board of directors to support his plan, those old men in the board of directors are not blind, they are aware of the fact that Andrew is just trying to suck the company dry, so i am sure they agreed on a deal regarding how to split the profit gained after the trade, and the ones who didn't agree where cut off " Francis made a motion of sliding his index finger across his neck

Luke was shocked, stared at Francis with wide eyes, "what do you mean, are you sure, Andrew doesn't seem to be the type of person to go that far"

"let me ask you when was the last time you saw or got a message from your uncle" Francis asked Luke

It was then Luke finally realized that something seemed fishy regarding this statement, because his uncle, Thomas, the husband of his aunt in Mandeville had been missing for about three months, Luke suddenly had an epiphany which was the fact that no one could be trusted, because he remembered how Andrew had treated him nicely when his Father was alive, but after his Father's death he has started bearing his fangs, then he looked at Francis with suspicion in his eyes

"how do you know all this Francis, because as far as I am concerned, this is clearly a top secret which even some of the higher ups have no idea about "

Realizing that Luke did not trust him Francis quickly spoke up "Kid have you forgotten that I came from the streets, the blood gang, it is because I am a guard that is why I was able to do some digging without being caught, or drawing attention to myself, I asked some of my former gang members and they told me about a mission involving your uncle, and I was also made aware of the secret assassination of some of your Father's loyal friends, that is why I am telling you all this ..."

Luke golden eyes flickered as he stared at Francis intensely to see if he was lying, but upon seeing the clear but worried expression on Francis face, he knew he wasn't lying, giving a helpless sigh "ok I believe you, but what does that have to do with me taking my shares"

Rubbing his temples with a frustrated expression, Francis decided to explain to Luke once and for all "Look, if you get your aunt to sign as your guardian and you are allowed to take your shares, do you think Andrew will just let it go, a man like that has high ambitions, he will probably threaten you with your aunt or try to kill you.....soo "

Luke paused for a moment digesting all the information he had received, trying to deduce a flawless solution for his current dilemma, suddenly his golden eyes lit up "I have an idea, instead of using my aunt as a guardian I could use my dad's friend one of the founder of the Oasis college branch on Los Angeles, he is from a royal family, he isn't someone Andrew would try to mess with, then I could secretly relocate my aunt to another apartment, then I will keep studying in Oasis college where my security is secure.."

Francis eyes also lit up "yh good, that's a nice plan, in that way you will just have to wait till you turn 18 and get full access to your Father's money and company,....." Francis paused for a moment with a frown on his face, " but are you sure your dad's friend can be trusted..."

Luke nodded intensely for a moment before his mood dropped

" he would help me but he has a righteous temperamental bullshit, am sure he won't let me use the money from the shares" Luke murmured

Andrew was speechless, _we are talking about how to survive and keep his Father's business from crashing, but he is still worried about spending the money, you need to be alive to spend for Gods sake_ Andrew sighed helplessly

"ok kid, I will also leave the company today so as to prevent Andrew and his men from laying their hands on me , i am sure because of this conversation I had with you they might get suspicious"

Luke nodded, it's true, because if he were to keep working in the company and Luke comes with his dad's friend to get his shares they could probably link it all to Andrew as he was the first one that he came in contact with in the company after his Father's death, Originally he came to the Company today to see if he could be an intern in the company so as to make a little cash, but now things have changed, he also wanted to go to his Father's office to search for something, because on the night his Father died, his Father called him on the phone giving him some weird information, at first he didn't take things seriously but now it seems that there are some issues in his Father's company

"Be safe Andrew" Luke sighed patting Andrew on the back, before walking to a clothing stall at the corner to buy a pair of stockings, Incase a situation arises where he was questioned about what he went to do with Andrew, he could just tell them that they just went on a stroll, "Hey Andrew if anyone asks we just went on a stroll" then he walked of towards the company.
