Love. Everyone talks about how great it is and how they would do anything for love. I'm that kind of person.

I'm a second year student at Arcadia High, I know the name sounds like it came out of princess movie but that's the name of my school.

I'm not popular or anything I'm just invisible and I wish I wasn't. Because there's a boy I like but he's popular everyone likes him. Just like me. I don't even stand a chance. They're so many girls prettier than me. if ony wishes could come true but they don't.

"wake up Kaya" Mom said. "I'm awake, don't yell" I said softly

"I'm not yelling and hurry up and get dressed or you're walking to school" Mom continued

"fine I'm getting up" I wish I could stay asleep but then I wouldn't be able to see him. My first love Brett. He's so hot. His white hair, tan skin and brown eyes and he's so dreamy. I'm putting on my thick chunky glasses (yes I wear glasses) I curl my hair and leave.

The thing about Arcadia high is that they're the populars and the losers. I would like to say I'm neither but if I'm being honest I'm a loser.

I'm walking inside the school. No one looks at me and I have no friends which makes me. losers and a loner.

"look who it is. its it's fishy " Lily said. ( Fishy is the name I got because I ate fish for lunch)

"Eww... what are those glasses? they're so ugly. I bet she wears them to hide her face" she continues talking to the people around her.

The halls are filled with laughter and they're all laughing at me I wish I could drown. Until Brett comes and said " I think the glasses are cool"

He said my glasses are cool. This is the best day of my life. If I died today I would die happy (kidding). He pats my shoulder and give me his signature grin. my face is bright red.

Lily is giving me a death glare and say "don't think he likes you because he said your glasses were cool. " she stomps off. I don't know what I did to deserve this.

The bell rings.

Lunch. since I have no friends I eat lunch in the library. I know there's a rule no eating in the library but me and the librarian have an agreement. I eat in the library and I help in the library. sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have friends and date but even I think those things my life won't change.

"hey you... girl with the chunky glasses" strange boy said. I look around in the library to see if there's anyone else besides me.

there's no one else but me. I shake my head and the boy continues "I know you can hear me unless you're deaf or somethin." "Uhm... hello do you need something" I said

"yes I do girl with chunky glasses" the boy said while laughing. the boy isn't ugly in fact he's handsome he has bright blue eyes, black hair, strong jawline, and his muscular body.

He's like one of those bad boys in animes.

"yo! why are you staring at me... like what you see"he said "No... urm sorry." "Anyway I have a question do you have the raven?" he wants to read the raven I didn't think he was that kind person.

"I don't know I'll look for it" I murmured

"here... do you have a library card" I asked "No I don't but I'll use yours"he grinned "but-but ... I can't we're not supposed to do that"

he said "you can" I hand the book over to him he smiles and turns the front page he looks up and bites his lip. "thanks girl with thick glasses"

"I have a name you know"i snap at him "So you can get mad... And I know you have a name... Kaya."

what ?!?! this guy knows my name. what the heck how does this guy know my name.

"you're wondering how I know your name I could tell you but that wouldn't be fun anyway I'll give you a challenge I'll do anything you want if you can guess my name" he said

"uhm... that's impossible I don't know your name I can't" I muttered

"if you don't figure out my name by the end of the day you have to do anything I want" he giggled

his laugh was innocent but I knew he wasn't.

I'm so tired I think that boy drained all th energy from me. His face was familiar not only that he was reading Edgar Allen Poe. I'm in my math class it's the class that I share with Brett.

He sits by the window and the light hits his face and he looks like an angel, a gorgeous angel. He's so pretty.

Miss Avagard pay attention!!!

Everyone in the class turns they head towards me and Brett smiles at me. His smile is to die for. I'm not the best I math even though I wear glasses.

But I seriously can remember that boys name.

Kaya was 6 years old at the time. she attended Arcadia elementary school where popularity and looks didn't matter.

Kaya had lots of friends but one of her friends was a mystery to her back then.

"hey you... boy with the book"Kaya said

he said "I have a name you know"

"Well I don't know your name and you're reading a book"Kaya replied

"What are you reading anyway?.. your book looks like one of those books adults read" She continued.

"The ravens."the boy said shortly. "Wow! that's so cool I wish I could a book like you!"she said amazed

Kaya sat next to the boy sitting behind a tree. She gazed at his face as the sun slipped through the trees and hit his face. "why are you staring at me?" The boy snapped.

"you look pretty. your eyes look like the sea." She grinned. "stop staring. My parents said that staring is rude"the boy said annoyed

He continued "Aren't you going to ask me for my name?"

"Well you didn't ask for my name. so why should I ask for yours?" She snapped

"because I already know your name... Kaya. Don't you want to know my name?"he replied

"Fine. What's your name?"She said

"Lee. My names Lee"

Class is over. The odd boy is waiting outside my class. He's smirking at me. "So do you know my name?"

"Yes I do. Lee" I said. "you remember my name. I'm glad you used to call me boy with the book."Lee said jokingly

"Looks like I win." Kaya said. " What do you want?" he grinned

"I don't know yet? " I said confused. "Well..." Lee reaches over and takes off my chunky glasses. "that's so much better"he snickered

he tilts my head back and slightly opens his mouth and says "you look prettier without them"

Did he just say I look pretty. No one had said that in my life. If only he were Brett I would've been swept away.

"Are you seriously that blind. I mean I've seen people with glasses and your glasses are thick,chunky and ugly. You should wear contacts" he said concerningly

"well... contacts hurt and I don't like wearing them"i snapped back

we started walking out the school to my house. It's been a while since I brought someone over to my house especially a boy.

"hey. have you heard tales about mermaids" Lee asked. "Are you talking about Ariel the little mermaid if so I've heard of it before"

I replied

"No. That's not what I'm talking about. it's said that if you capture a mermaid it can grant you three wishes." he whispered
