It's always the same harsh day for

an orphan. No matter the weather, their life is still the same. Luckily, Crystal and summer always try to look on the bright side of things. Crystal is a 14 year old girl, who is an orphan. summer is a 15 year old and she's an orphan as well. It might be obvious, so yes they are friends. Crystal was a crackhead. Somewhat stupid. summer was wise and kind of like a baby sitter. Wondering what they look like? I'll tell ya.

Friends are friends. They like to laugh at each other. They make fun of people together. No matter what though, when thing's are tough, they'll be there. They're like an invisible yet visible army, always with you, fooling around, and when things are tough, they'll kill anyone for you. And even when you make fun of each other.. They know it's just fooling around.

But none of them. summer nor Crystal, were ready for the day ahead.

The next day, Crystal saw some old lady wearing a purple jacket, coming out of the office of the headmistress of the orphanage. Curiosity was killing her. She went right away to summer, to tell her what she saw. And OF COURSE summer became curious as well. They had no idea to what was going to happen and what the future holds for them.

12yrs ago, summer became part of the orphanage. Her parents died when she was 3, she had no relatives to take her in. Her parents died in a fire. A serial killer was lurking around and came to their house, killed her parents right in front of her eyes, no mercy was shown. summer always tried to forget that horrific day. She wanted to forget everything about it.

After a few mins the girls were waiting in the room with curiosity taking their souls away slowly. The headmistress of the orphanage knocked on the door. "open up, girls" she said. "yes ma'am" stated Crystal. The girls were nervous at the moment. They didn't know if they were going to hear good or bad news. They waited silently. So Crystal decided to break the silence. "shall I go get some drinks for you, mistress?"

"no darling, I would like to see you at my office please, ms. Summer." summer was nervous. There's no other word to describe how she's feeling at this moment. As she walked into the office, all she could think of was what did she do wrong? Why is the headmistress taking her to the office? There were no answers to summer's questions. Until they arrived to the office…

"Summer, how are you?" headmistress Casey, decided to start the conversation simple so summer won't be shocked or nervous, because of the looks of it, she's already got the nervous part. "I'm f-fine Mrs. Casey, thank you for asking." Summer couldn't even get her words together. "sweetie. There was a family who came earlier today, you might have seen them, hm?" summer and crystal always admired Mrs. Casey's beauty and kindness. Her beautiful ocean colored eyes, wavy short hair, her sense in fashion. But most importantly, her pure heart, although she doesn't show it much, but they both knew she was kind and caring.

"yes. I saw them." summer spoke. "i didn't see them, but Crystal did. As she described them, it was an old lady wearing a silky purple jacket and it seems that she has a son.." summer stopped there. "ah. Paying to details as usual." Casey said.

Summer was still confused and nervous as to why she's in the headmistress's office. So she decided to ask... "uhm... Uh.. Mrs. Casey... Is there a specific reason as to why I'm here?" Mrs Casey smiled. "yes, sweetie, there is." summer was nervous.. Even more than she was already. She was scared and confused.

Ms. Casey continued "so, this family was looking for a young girl to adopt. And as they described, they want a mature and smart young girl. You fit the description, so now you're going to have a new family. Isn't that great?"

GrEaT…..mOrE lIkE a NiGhTmArE..summer thought. She doesn't want to leave Crystal, she doesn't want to leave the orphanage. She's happy with her life now.... She doesn't want anything to change, unfortunately this wish seems almost impossible at the moment, her whole life was about to change. Just thinking about it gives summer goosebumps, a new environment, people she never knew existed in this world, personalities, meeting new people, a life without one of her greatest friends.... Crystal.

Summer didn't know what to do anymore, how was she going to tell Crystal?? How would Crystal react?? Summer was LOST. Mrs. Casey dismissed summer, and told her to go enjoy her two weeks in the orphanage, and her two weeks with crystal..

         Summer knew that there was no way on earth she can hide something like this from her. Summer couldn't hide anything from Crystal. They're best friends, what do you expect? Childhood best friends are like siblings. They can't live without each other, the way they stand up for each other is amazing. They're a family.

      Summer was walking, thinking of how to tell Crystal what Mrs. Casey told her. But... Too late... Crystal heard everything, she wanted to know so she was listening to the conversation. Summer saw Crystal, and the image she saw... Was not the Crystal she knows. Crystal was in tears, so red. She was breathing heavily. Summer froze. She didn't know what to do. Crystal stuttered.. "I thought we'd stay tog-gether.. Fo-forever..." as those words came out of Crystal's mouth, summer started tearing up. Crystal continued " I thought... We'd be adopted.. To the same-" she stopped. she couldn't talk anymore, she was crying.... She never expected this.. Crystal took a deep breath, in and out, she didn't look very well but after she took a deep breath in and out... She said "summer... I know it's not your fault, you're smart, beautiful and sweet, no wonder they would want to adopt you... You deserve to be happy. When you leave, I'm going to miss you. Please don't forget me... I love you..." Summer was shocked. She didn't know how to respond to what Crystal said... She froze for a second, and then hugged her and said "I can never forget y-you, I love you, you're like my little sister... I'm going to miss you...be strong please, you're beautiful, smart and deserve to be happy too.. Ok?" in their room, they hugged and sat there in silence.. Two best friends going to be apart, and no one knows when they'll see each other again.

        everything didn't seem right. things were blurry in their eyes at the moment. they want to stay together but that's not possible which is very heartbreaking, and will be hard for both summer and Crystal 💔. Two weeks until they depart. and then they'll be miles away from each other. and there's no way to contact each other either. In the orphanage, everyone must be equal. you can not have something while others don't. It's against the rules. so using a phone wouldn't be right. or more likely wouldn't be allowed they'll miss each for sure. but for these two weeks they'll do everything they please, together. according to head mistress Casey, the orphanage has a plan for both of them for these two weeks...
