Lian's Heart Skips a Beat
Lian's eyes widened as she finally saw Duan Siho standing beside Jem. He was even more handsome than she remembered, with his sharp features and piercing gaze. He was wearing a simple white t-shirt and jeans, but his aura was undeniably captivating.
"Siho," Lian whispered, her voice barely audible.
Siho turned to her, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Lian," he greeted, his voice low and smooth.
Lian felt a blush creep up her cheeks. She couldn't believe she was actually standing in front of her crush, the boy who had captured her heart back in junior high.
"It's great to see you again," Siho continued, his eyes lingering on her for a moment longer than necessary.
Lian could feel her pulse quicken. She wanted to say something witty, something that would impress him, but all she could manage was a shy nod.
"So, you're a poet, huh?" Jem chimed in, his voice full of amusement. "I heard you're pretty famous around campus."
Lian felt her cheeks burn even hotter. "It's nothing special," she mumbled, hoping Siho wouldn't notice her embarrassment.
"I'm sure it's amazing," Siho said, his voice gentle. "I'd love to read some of your work sometime."
Lian's heart skipped a beat. "Really?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with hope.
"Of course," Siho replied, his gaze steady and unwavering.
Lian felt a surge of excitement. This was her chance to make a good impression on Siho. Maybe, just maybe, she could finally turn her childhood crush into something more.
"Well, I'm sure you're all busy," Sohi interrupted, her voice laced with a hint of annoyance. "We should probably get going."
Lian reluctantly agreed, but she couldn't help but steal one last glance at Siho before turning away. She knew this was just the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, and she couldn't wait to see where it would lead.
