Falling for the Enemy
Episode 1
Dining Room, early morning
Luke walks into the dining room where his family is already gathered around the table for breakfast. His older brother, Matt, is chatting with his wife, and his sister, Sophie, is busy feeding her baby. His younger sister, Lily, is on her phone.
Every morning was the same. Luke always woke up at the exact same time and followed the same routine: get ready, have breakfast, and leave for college—all down to the minute.
Matt [MC BROTHER]
(grinning) Morning, little bro. Ready for another day of college?
Luke [MC]
(sitting down, glancing at the crumbs on the table) Yeah. Ready as ever
Sophie [MC Sister]
(smirking) Honestly, Luke, you make the rest of us look messy. I swear you wiped that same spot on the table yesterday too.
Lily
(smiling) And I bet your dorm room’s spotless, huh? You probably reorganize everything before anyone even notices
Luke [MC]
(with a small smile, wiping crumbs off the table) I just like things neat, that’s all.
Cleon[MC father]
(looking up from his newspaper) Luke, you’ve been pretty quiet lately. Everything okay?
Luke [MC]
(hesitating) Yeah… just thinking about an assignment, that’s all.
As Luke talks with his family, his eyes briefly flicker to his left hand, where a thin red thread is wrapped tightly around his pinky finger. It was always there, ever since he’d presented as an omega. The red thread, a sign of fate, connecting him to someone out there—but he had no idea who. When will I meet them?
Luke quickly looks away, not wanting to think too much about it in front of his family. They didn’t know he was an omega yet, and he wasn’t ready to tell them. Not just yet.
Luke finishes eating and immediately starts cleaning up the table, wiping down the surfaces with precision. His family watches, amused but used to his habits.
Sophie [MC Sister]
(teasing) There he goes again. Can’t let a single crumb survive.
Janice[MC MOTHER]
(chuckling) Always helping out. I don’t know what I’d do without you, Luke.
Luke [MC]
(murmuring) Just like things neat, that’s all.
After tidying up, Luke heads upstairs to get ready. He stands in front of the mirror, straightening his clothes and checking his bag. His eyes trail back to his pinky finger, where the red thread curls and twists, invisible to everyone else but him. It stretched off somewhere in the distance, pulling him toward his destined partner.
At exactly 9:00 AM, Luke arrives at his college and heads straight to the lecture hall, where he always sits in the same spot: third row, second seat from the left. It’s part of his routine, a small comfort in his carefully ordered life. But even as he settles into his seat, his thoughts return to that red thread. Who is on the other end of this? And when will I find out?
Episode 2
Luke is seated in the classroom, third row, second seat from the left, scrolling through his notes. His friend, Sarah, walks in, looking a bit hesitant.
Sarah
(sitting beside Luke) Hey, Luke. Um... about the group project.
Luke [MC]
(looks up) Oh, yeah? Did you finish your part already?
Sarah
(nervously fidgets) Not exactly. Something came up, and I won’t be able to help with the project like we planned.
Luke [MC]
(frowns slightly) Wait, what do you mean? You can’t do it at all?
Sarah
Yeah, I’m really sorry. But listen, my best friend, Jordan, can help you out. He’s perfect at this stuff, probably better than I am
Luke [MC]
(sighs, then shrugs) Okay... I guess that works. When can I meet him?
Sarah
(smiling, relieved) How about after class today? I’ll introduce you two
Luke [MC]
(nods) Alright, sounds good. I just hope he’s as good as you say
Sarah
Trust me, he is. You'll get along. Plus, he's pretty easy to work with. You'll be fine.
Luke [MC]
I’ll take your word for it, then. Thanks for sorting it out
Sarah
(smiling warmly) Anytime. Let me know if you need anything else.[gets up] I’ll talk to you later, okay
Luke [MC]
(waves)Yeah, later
Episode 3
The Café – Late Afternoon
Luke checks the time on his phone. 3:45. Sarah said the guy would meet him at 3:30, but he’s late, and Luke’s patience has already worn thin. Annoyed, he grabs his jacket, ready to leave
As he moves toward the door, a guy enters the café. Luke barely pays attention until something strange catches his eye—a red thread tied around his pinky finger. It glows faintly, extending toward the guy who just walked in.
Luke [MC]
<💭 What the hell…?>
The guy looks around the café and spots Luke. His eyes narrow slightly, recognition dawning on his face as he approaches. Luke instantly stiffens, hoping to make a quick exit, but the guy speaks up.
Luke freezes mid-step, still trying to figure out how to process the red thread situation. He doesn’t respond right away, hoping to avoid the conversation altogether.
Jordan Carter[ML]
Hey, you don’t remember me?
The guy lets out a frustrated sigh and steps directly into Luke’s path.
Jordan Carter[ML]
You really don’t remember me? It’s Jordan. Jordan Carter.
At the mention of the name, Luke stiffens. Jordan Carter? The memory comes crashing back—he’s the guy whose project Luke tore apart online. His infamous comment: “This is the worst project on the internet.” It had gone viral.
Luke mentally curses. Of all the people in the world…
Luke [MC]
Jordan Carter… (he fakes a smile) Right, yeah. Sorry, I didn’t recognize you.
Jordan crosses his arms, clearly unimpressed.
Jordan Carter[ML]
You really didn’t recognize me until I said the name? Wow. That’s cold, even for you.
Luke shifts uncomfortably, glancing at the glowing red thread only he can see
Luke [MC]
(awkward) Uh, well… you know how it is. Lots of faces, lots of projects.
Jordan Carter[ML]
Sure. Except, I’m the guy you said had “the worst project on the internet.”
Luke [MC]
(trying to brush it off)Look, that was… ages ago. Let’s not dwell on the past.
Luke tries to move around Jordan, but Jordan steps in his way, blocking his path. His expression hardens.
Jordan Carter[ML]
Oh, I’m not dwelling. (He crosses his arms, then adds with a smirk) But don’t you want to finish that project you’re supposed to be working on? Or did Sarah forget to mention that I’m the guy she sent to help you?
Luke [MC]
(Eyes widen)
<💭 He’s the guy Sarah sent? Of course. Of all the people she could send, it had to be Jordan.>
Luke [MC]
(under his breath)You’ve got to be kidding me…
