Jeong Tae-ui's birthday - Fanfic
Rita's daily work at Riegrow's house is: Waking up early, preparing ingredients and cooking. When Jeong Taei arrived, nothing changed.
Today the work was the same as always, but it had a more special meaning because this was the first time she tried cooking the traditional Korean dish- seaweed soup.
Normally, Taei is not a picky eater. He even got used to eating dishes that had the flavor of his grandmother's cooking.
However, just today, Rita had put all her heart and soul into going to the local library to borrow a Korean cooking book in German (which she would not have been able to find in Kyle's study).
Today is Taei's birthday.
When the Riegrow family's children were young, she had to work hard to prepare German-style birthday parties, with the main purpose of inviting guests who had business relationships with the family.
Then when they grew older and the procedures became less cumbersome, she no longer had the opportunity to do that job. Even in the past few years, the second master has never been at home on a special occasion in his life.
Or maybe Rita is the only one who considers speaking special.
But everything changed when Taei arrived. Rita, who personally prepared the first birthday after so many years for her master, this time it was Taei's turn to organize it.
"Oh, I smell a familiar smell."
Jeong Taeui noticed it as soon as he opened the kitchen door. Initially, he intended to come here to ask if he could get some fruit before dinner, because on the dining table now there were only varieties that would not be good for an hungry stomach such as grapes or oranges.
But that scent made him forget his main purpose, and Jeong Taeui immediately exclaimed when he clearly saw the last dish that Rita was cooking.
"Ah! Seaweed soup. Is today a special day?"
"Mr. Taei, stand a little further away or you will be haunted by the smell."
Rita, who had been concentrating on stirring the soup until now, turned to look at Jeong Taeui standing next to her and continued.
"Don't tell me you forgot today is your birthday?"
"Eh? Ah, no, no, I remember that. But I don't think... Anyway, thank you very much."
Jeong Taeui quickly found a bag of apples and kiwis in the refrigerator in the kitchen.
Normally, if they were still in this cupboard, they would be untreated items, so he carried both bags over to the kitchen sink.
While he was attentively washing each fruit with salt water, he heard Rita's voice.
"Next time, Mr. Taei, don't talk like you're an outsider. If you want to eat something, just let me know."
Rita paused for a moment to put the finished pot of soup on the kitchen table.
While scooping each tablespoon into a small bowl, Rita added more.
"But only if the ingredients are available in Berlin and are not junk snacks, such as topoki."
Topoki? Hearing Jeong Taeui's laughter, Rita raised her head. But he just pursed his lips and shook his head looking at her.
After that, he quickly nodded and thanked Rita again. Looks like today is really a good day. The kitchen door was slightly closed when he left.
Jeong Taeui placed the plate on the table in a state of elation and overflowing happiness.
Just now he wanted to say that spicy rice cakes are actually not just a snack but also a traditional Korean food, or even her pronunciation made him confused at first, but Jeong Taeui decided intend to keep that to himself. He savored the small joys like tasting a little bit of cinnamon on the tip of his tongue- something that Jeong Taeui had the opportunity to taste when he was young and went to tropical countries with his brother.
It's moments like the present that make him feel like this place is his home.
"What 's up?"
The man with thick eyebrows and deep eyes asked when he saw Jeong Taeui just sitting and chewing Kiwi and smiling.
Those eyes could certainly have scared many people when he was young, but over time, wisdom and old fox had covered those eyes with an unpredictable depth, creating a feeling that just a glance Looking at someone, he can read that person completely.
"It's nothing, Sal. I was just thinking that kiwifruit tastes better today than usual."
"Really? Hmm, anyway, this is not a common fruit in our country, so I can't judge."
Sal is the name of that South American man. Calling it out straight is a bit rude considering the age gap between the two, but that's the case with any guest coming to this house. They don't care about each other's background, family background or age. What they need is someone who knows how to talk during the time they come here to rest.
While the two exchanged a few words, Rita brought up each dish according to different portions. As for Jeong Taeui, his portion includes a bowl of simple seaweed soup.
"Rita, the soup is delicious."
Jeong Taeui tried the soup before Rita could turn her back to the kitchen. Even though she didn't respond to his compliment, he knew she was smiling.
If she weren't hiding an obvious pride, she would have scolded Jeong Taeui for hastily trying to eat the soup while it was still hot. Also out of curiosity, Sal looked over here.
"Hmm, is it that delicious?"
"Ah, that's right, do you want to.."
"No no."
The refusal was accompanied by a wave of the hand. His eyebrows were slightly frowned, showing that he did not understand why that fishy-smelling soup was so attractive to Jeong Taeui.
In fact, the bowl of soup has been prepared very carefully according to Rita's standards. When he still went out to eat his birthday with his brother at restaurants near his house, the flavor of soup cooked according to Korean standards would be much stronger than this.
Jeong Taeui ate attentively and ignored the other guest. When he was almost finished and raised his head, he was looking at him with sarcastic eyes.
"You eat like you're starving."
"Leave me alone."
He ignored Sal's sarcasm, reached for a tissue and wiped his mouth.
"Is Riegrow not coming home today?"
Jeong Taeui's hand slightly stopped in mid-air.
Just now, while they were in the middle of eating, Kyle came home groggy because he had just attended a partner company party. Rita then prepared a hangover drink and was now in Kyle's room.
From that fact, we can guess that the person Sal is talking about is definitely not Kyle (even if he was, he would still call him by name).
"I don't know, do you need to see him for something?"
"Ah, no. I was just thinking why he let his lover spend his birthday alone like this."
"Huh? Lover? Who said that!?"
Jeong Taeui almost stood up and glared at the man in front of him. Sal still leisurely peeled each grape and looked keenly over here. The corners of his lips curled slightly.
"Isn't that so?"
"...."
Because he didn't know how to respond, Jeong Taeui stiffened his tongue and sat down. Then, he aggressively snatched the bunch of grapes from the plate that he was leisurely plucking one by one. Before the "Hey!" of Sal, Jeong Taeui only responded with a glare and put the peeled grape straight into his mouth.
The sweet and sour taste of grapes melted throughout his throat, making him feel sour in his heart as well. All the flavors of the bowl of soup just now have disappeared.
Facing him, Sal spoke.
"In our country, if you leave a woman alone on a date, she will cause a big fuss. That said, in front of the woman you love, even a fool will have to become a gentleman, he is delicate."
Even though he knew Sal was provoking him, Jeong Taeui still scoffed back.
"Is that why your country specializes in making movies about smart tycoons who die in women's bodies? It doesn't seem to be completely unfounded."
"Haha, it's possible, even though I've never experienced that situation myself."
Ugh.
The unchewed grape slipped down Jeong Taeui's throat. D-Don't tell me this man in front of me is a mafia boss of some gang? Suddenly, he wanted to return the bunch of grapes that he had eaten half to him.
"Come on, erase that gloomy face, young man. Shall we have a drink?"
The words rang out, causing Jeong Taeui to wake up. He looked at Sal, who had been standing there with two cans of beer in his hand. At first, he was a little hesitant and took a can from the man's hand. But when Rita walked down from the second floor to the dining room to clean up the dishes, she only glanced at them and there was no reminder about drinking in moderation.
Therefore, Jeong Taeui felt a little relieved and stood up and walked to the refrigerator.
He pulled another dozen cans from the cupboard and gestured to Sal.
"Shall we go to the living room?"
So the two friends, who had only known each other for less than a week, sat down in the living room with a table littered with empty cans. They clinked glasses and talked about all kinds of things, until Jeong Taeui's mind started spinning like he was thrown into a washing machine drum, did he stop.
Right next to the sofa on the other side, Sal was lying still and fell asleep. Jeong Taeui stood up but the dizziness made him unable to stand and had to lean one arm on the sofa.
He intended to go over there and tell Sal to go back to his room to avoid catching a cold, but as they say, drunk people weigh more than their normal weight, so Jeong Taeui, who was also equally drunk, decided to Go close all the doors instead of trying to drag him back to his room.
I don't know if Rita has gone to sleep yet, but the house is so quiet that only the wind can be heard.
The weather in spring is cloudy but still enough for the cold moonlight to shine down on the porch. Jeong Taeui stood blankly in front of the closed glass door and looked up.
It must be a place very far from here, right? Maybe he was somewhere with a time zone difference of nearly half a day from Berlin, so he came back later than expected.
But anyway, his birthday is almost near. He can only rely on the electronic watch to know that in a few minutes he will be about to turn a new age. This afternoon, Jeong Taeui called his brother because Jaeui was currently at the US branch of UNHRDO. So from now on, I will immerse myself in this quiet space for a while and celebrate my new age.
Previously, when Ilay saw that he drank too much and secretly hid all the beer in the refrigerator, Jeong Taeui got angry and shouted that the beer was just water. It seems like you're angry with him again, right? Don't remember anymore.
However, no human being lives together without quarrels or conflicts. Normally, he and Ilay often have many things to be angry at each other, but they are as small as spices, they will make this life more flavorful.
Sigh...
An irrepressible sigh slipped out of my throat. In the end, beer is still beer. Jeong Taeui still feels thirsty after consuming too much alcohol.
He gloomily walked into the dining room and took out a bottle of mineral water from the refrigerator. Not knowing what to think, he conveniently bent down and took out a bottle of whiskey stored under the kitchen.
The sofa sank deeply and made a sound as his whole body fell down tiredly. He drank all the mineral water on the way here, so now he only has an open bottle of wine in his hand.
The sound of amber liquid hitting the glass walls stirred the stuffy night air.
Jeong Taeui tasted the wine on his lips and looked at Sal who was sleeping with one leg draped over the edge of the sofa, one leg falling to the ground.
Not directly hitting the tongue with a bitter taste like beer, whiskey is more mellow, even giving off a pleasant aroma like the scent of agarwood. Even though this bottle of wine costs several thousand dollars, Jeong Taeui still craves the spicy taste of the popular bottle of soju he drank with Jaeui or his friends back in Korea.
The nature of wine is like that, delicious or not depends on the drinking mood of the drinker. And those who sip them alone often do not have the satisfaction of waiting for someone to return.
When his head started to hurt and his stomach felt a little nauseous, Jeong Taeui put the cup down on the table. Before he was even startled to discover that Kyle's expensive bottle of wine was half empty, there was another noise that made him even more startled.
"Crap..."
Someone is opening the door to the house.
This area is extremely secure, who would dare to come all the way here? But no, with such a huge fortune of the homeowner, there are many brave people. Jeong Taeui stood up, but he almost fell to the floor from shock. Instead of going empty-handed, he grabbed a light bottle of wine with one hand because it was about to run out, then headed out the main door.
A figure was standing there, blocking the moonlight so Jeong Taeui couldn't see his face clearly.
"Who is that?"
He asked in a drunken voice and stepped forward. It seemed that the other person, who was removing something from his hand, had noticed his abnormality, so he asked again in a low voice mixed with surprise.
"How much did you drink?"
People will only receive answers when the other person is awake. And the person the man asked was definitely not in his right mind. So, instead of responding, Jeong Taeui rubbed his eyes and approached him.
Poof.
His whole body fell to the ground as one foot kicked the other. No, it seemed he had fallen into a place as solid as a wall but warm with human body temperature.
"Who is that?"
Jeong Taeui's hands fumbled and he asked again with a harsher tone. He touched from the top, but because he had no strength left, he soon slid down.
Jeong Taeui picked up his larger hand and looked at it with both eyes. Even though they were right next to his pupils, for some reason he still saw them blurred like a shadow.
"Fuck, how do you have 10 fingers on one hand?"
"..."
Hearing laughter right above his head, Jeong Taeui knew that his ears were still working. But his eyes were not like that, they were all dilated and only a white moon shape could be seen.
"You, your hands are...*sniff*...as beautiful as my lover's hands."
The praise broke out in hiccups. Perhaps Jeong Taeui himself didn't know how pathetic his appearance was with his head slumped against the other man's chest and his hands still touching him as if he were checking to see how many fingers he actually had.
It seemed like the other person was in a good mood so he asked him with a laugh.
"So where is your lover that lets you wander here like this? I thought you were sleepwalking."
"Don't know."
Jeong Taeui mumbled and shook his head.
"Hmm... Does that mean your lover is going away?"
"Uhm..."
"So...."
The man lasted a long time, lifted his whole body up and hugged him tightly in his chest. His chin rested on his shoulder as his head collapsed.
He leaned down and kissed his neck, his voice and warm breath evenly blowing on his ear.
"If he hasn't come back for a long time, then let me comfort you tonight, okay?"
"Huh.."
Jeong Taeui hiccuped loudly. That sob pulled back his mind, which was still floating in the chaos, causing him to wake up and shake his whole body.
"W-Who are you? Even though there are only 5 people at home right now, including 2 drunk middle-aged men and two elderly people, don't you dare do anything to me! I'm still...still completely awake."
As he spoke, he raised his hand and slowly pushed the bottle of wine into the man's chest.
"...."
Perhaps the 'thief' also felt speechless in front of the silly homeowner who hadn't even attacked him yet, threatening loudly while he couldn't hide his stuttering and panic. He just sighed and grabbed the bottle of wine from the table hands are limp.
After a moment of silence, he opened his mouth to tease.
"What if I keep doing something now? It's a waste when you're so delicious but the person who loves you leaves you like this. I'll definitely do better than him, I'll take you to heaven, okay?"
"!!"
This time Jeong Taeui tried to pull his whole body away when the other hand slid down and squeezed his butt.
Even though his legs were unsteady, he still stepped back and raised his arms in an "X" shape in front of his chest.
"You can't do better than him... No no, whether it's good or not... I don't care, I'll never sleep with anyone else except the person I love."
"Ha...."
Perhaps this time the man was truly happy when he burst out laughing out loud like that.
He just stood there laughing for a long time and when Jeong Taeui was still looking at him with wary eyes, he came closer, patted his head and walked back to the kitchen.
The floor of the house is tiled with porcelain white ceramic tiles, and the moonlight shining through the window makes the scene even more peaceful and poetic. Gentle rays of light flowed from her hair to her shoulders, then cast the silhouettes of two people, one in front, one behind, following each other into the kitchen.
Queue?
When Ilay stopped in front of the refrigerator door, the person behind him, not paying attention, bumped his head against his back. His eyebrows furrowed slightly when he saw Jeong Taeui retreating behind with his arms hanging down like a ghost.
"What are you doing?"
The white light when the refrigerator door was opened made Jeong Taeui's eyes squint because of the glare. Even so, he still did not turn away and mumbled.
"I have to watch over you for Kyle."
So it turns out that this ghost has been following him since he thought he was a suspect? Ilay held her forehead, not knowing whether to cry or laugh in front of someone who, when drunk, looked like another person.
After getting the necessary things from the refrigerator, Ilay reached out and turned on the light switch. He waited a few seconds for Jeong Taeui to regain his composure, then pinched his cheeks and patted them a few times.
"Look closely to see who is standing in front of you?"
Jeong Taeui raised his hands to rub his eyes so he could see the person in front of him more clearly. The other man was a head taller than him, with skin as white as a porcelain statue. Right now, that's all he can describe because his mind has spiraled, seeing that the person in front of him only has one head is already very good.
"I...Ilay?"
A name hung awkwardly on the tip of Jeong Taeui's lips as if Jeong Taeui still didn't believe it was real. He made a judgment based on the warmth and familiarity that person brought. While he was still thinking, he took a knife and cut the lemon in half and squeezed it into a cup.
Because he wasn't sure yet, Jeong Taeui asked a few more questions.
What's your name?"
"You just called my name."
"Um.... Sniff... So, how old are you?"
The hiccups still haven't subsided with my stomach rumbling like it's about to burn. Jeong Taeui suddenly felt his throat was a bit thirsty so he decided to go to the refrigerator to get water. But the other person promptly stopped him by placing a glass cup in his hand.
"Same age as you."
"What about your blood type?" He continued to ask while drinking, causing tiny bubbles to appear on the surface of the water.
"Same blood type as me."
"Why do you always answer vaguely?"
"But is that true?"
The other man was still looking at him intently as if afraid that his hand would drop the cup. Waiting until he finished drinking, he breathed a sigh of relief, took it and placed it on the table.
"So what is my date of birth?"
Jeong Taeui asked one last question.
After stating the specific date, Ilay stepped closer and supported him. He was considering whether he should stand here and listen to this person's unconscious chatter or should he carry this person back to his room. Then, Ilay saw a flash of bitterness flash across her pink, drunken face, and Jeong Taeui smiled slightly in irony.
"So you're probably not Ilay. If he remembered my birthday, then why didn't he come back until now?"
Tik..tak...
The hour hand at that time was already pointing past the number 1. Without looking at the clock, just noticing the dark sky outside and the whole neighborhood falling asleep to know that it was t and a smile flickered.
* * * * * *
Before those lips could open and speak, Jeong Taeui hastily scratched his head and beat the drum.
"Um... When did you come back?"
Ilay's arm lifted from Jeong Taeui's chest and stopped on his cheek. His thumb gently rubbed his gradually hot face, his eyes curved up as if to ask:
"Have you forgotten?"
If you've been stabbed, you have to stick with it. Even though he didn't know how long he could pretend, the memory of last night was too humiliating, Jeong Taeui couldn't just admit it so easily.
"No, I don't remember anything. I'm serious."
At the end of his excuse, he looked up at him with fear. Because he still had one arm wrapped around him and hugging him, Jeong Taeui had to lie in Ilay's arms at such a close distance.
"Hmm... No wonder, when you saw me, you happily ran up to me and kissed me fiercely, not wanting to let me go..."
"Huh? Hey! Don't misrepresent yourself, at that time it was clear that you..."
The scream rang out then faded and fell silent as Jeong Taeui's eyes closed tightly. I know that when people drink alcohol, they become very confused, but I can't believe that I could fall into his stupid trap like that.
A gentle breeze swept across his face. Ilay was laughing with amusement. Because he was so shy, Jeong Taeui didn't bother to open his eyes to verify if it was true. He turned his head down and buried his face in the pillow.
Despite his frustration and discomfort, that obnoxious smile still persisted as if he was feeling very comfortable.
After a while, seeing that Jeong Taeui didn't bother to move, Ilay lifted his head and pulled his whole body into her arms.
The warm pillow with soft fabric is replaced by a solid chest.
"Tae.. Tae..."
No one answered.
"Taei ah....Taeui..."
When he raised his head, a kiss fell on the tip of his nose.
"Sorry, Tae."
Ilay said while her lips still stopped on his face. Afraid that he would insist on apologizing until he opened his mouth to respond, Jeong Taeui sighed and surrendered.
"Okay, I know the way back. Anyway, I didn't promise anything."
That statement is only meant to calm things down. Over the past few years, although he and Ilay have never had an official contract, on special occasions like this, they have never been apart.
It's not necessarily a hidden law or anything like that, it's simply a belief. They understand each other to the point that even if no one says anything, that trust will never be shaken.
Of course, Ilay understands that better than anyone.
"Do you want any gift?"
Yesterday when he returned, he had a gift in his hand. But that and this question are unrelated, because what he means here is a redemption gift.
Jeong Taeui was silent for a bit.
Even though he was a bit upset to see him miss the appointment, he wouldn't be petty enough to force Ilay to compensate. But come to think of it, this is also the first year this has happened, right? Therefore, Jeong Taeui took time to consider Ilay's words.
"Hmm... Ilay, you were born in *, right?"
He just nodded and looked at me as if he didn't understand.
"If you calculate correctly, I'm a few months older than you. Even though it's still the same year, it's more than a second. Wasn't Jaeui carried out before me, so he became my older brother..."
"So that?"
"I want you to call me brother."
The atmosphere sank into silence. During that time, Jeong Taeui attentively observed every expression on Ilay's face.
He seemed to be seriously thinking about a certain problem. At first his eyebrows were slightly furrowed, then gradually relaxed and his lips curved into a smile where even his white teeth could be seen.
"Okay, brother Taeui."
"..."
Although this feeling was a bit strange, Jeong Taeui's face gradually turned red for some reason. Reading his facial expression, Ilay smiled even more brightly and approached.
"Taei, do you miss me at home? Have you ever wondered about me these past few months, brother?"
For the first time, Jeong Taeui felt like the person in front of him was not Ilay but like someone else. To the point where he was wondering if he was drunk or not.
And this was also the first time he heard Ilay speak completely in Korean. These past few years, he secretly learned the language from me, but I've never heard him say a single word. And now, this sentence full of honorifics with poor pronunciation sounded so cute that his heart couldn't help but tremble.
It's a pity that I couldn't record it.
His face turned red, until he couldn't stand it anymore, he raised his hands and placed them on his cheeks and kissed his lips that were still calling out the words.
"Dangshin" (which means honey)
Following the momentum, Ilay returned his kiss and pressed Jeong Taeui back down on the bed.
His eyes stared intently at his gray eyes, for a long time, deeply, as if he wanted to pour out his heart so that he could see his sincerity. After that, Ilay kissed him and whispered.
"Wish you a happy birthday, Taeui."
The window was wide open, inviting the sunlight to dance in the room. The scene outside was peaceful with clouds drifting lazily, while inside the room was filled with morning sunlight, the curtains were blown away as cool breezes rushed in.
A new age has come, filled with peace, countless good things, and.. even love.

I wanna grow old with you

——————
“Are you asleep?"
In a daze as he slowly fell asleep, Jeong Taeui faintly heard a whisper in his ear.
Each light touch fell on the cheeks, temples, then gradually moved to the corners of the eyes, then left and the kisses stopped on the eyelids and fell like a constant rain.
"Uhm.. hm.."
Jeong Taeui moved slightly as if he had heard but no longer had the strength to respond.
Perhaps lying in this man's arms after a bout of passion has become a habit.
He thought that if he could just fall asleep like this, for a moment or forever, it would be a very peaceful, very reassuring prospect.
The rooms of Jeong Taeui and this man - Ilay Riegrow, on the same hallway and next to each other, have remained unchanged for many years. But strictly speaking, Jeong Taeui's room was literally more of a room than Ilay's.
It wasn’t because he spent very little time at home, but because I live with him in Berlin; he rarely left home for too long unless it was a particularly important occasion.
Usually 1 week, the longest is 1 month, but not to the point where the room is covered in dust and no one cares. In the past, Rita would be the one to clean the room (even though the room was so tidy that it hardly required much attention), but since she’s dead, Jeong Taeui has done that job for her.
Simply swing by from time to time, ensuring that the room will always be ready for the owner to return.
So why does his room always feel unusual? Sometimes Jeong Taeui thinks. And he got the answer immediately.
He never left a trace no matter where he went. Even when he was at UNHRDO when he was a second lieutenant of Ilay, his room was always like that.
Time to clean up at the end of the year. And this is also the only place where Ilay occasionally leaves traces of his existence, no matter how small. But they don't sleep in the same bed.
Except for the times he spent all night with him after trips away from home due to work, seeing this man in a deep sleep still made Jeong Taeui feel unfamiliar. Furthermore, Ilay is especially good at sleeping.
It's like when he sleeps but there is still a third pair of eyes observing everything around him.
That is also another characteristic habit of him. There are habits that cannot be changed or not, but belong to instincts - survival instincts. And that instinct will not let anyone be an exception.
Jeong Taeui silently sighed even though his eyes were still closed tightly.
'This guy... why didn't you go back to your room today and stay so long?'
He could feel his soft smile from the sound of the wind blowing on his neck.
"Will you let me sleep?"
He snorted and muttered.
"Me? Yes, certainly."
He snorted and muttered.
"Then, why do you just keep kissing me and won’t leave me alone?"
His voice was a bit angry but he still didn't open his eyes to confirm how he was feeling.
"Hmm.. I'm gonna do it until you go to sleep."
Having finished speaking, the arm wrapped around his neck gently pulled him towards him a bit.
This time the kiss fell to the top of the head, the hand gently caressing the cheek as gently as sweeping a feather.
'Forget it...'
Jeong Taeui thought and decided to put his mind to sleep.
"Tae.. Taeui..."
"Jeong Taeui..."
The whisper was so soft that it was faint as if echoing from another realm far away. That call didn't need to be answered, both of them knew that, so Ilay continued like that for a while, while Jeong Taeui moved slightly to show he had heard.
Suddenly, he raised his hand to hold the hand that was caressing her cheek, pulled it to his lips, and kissed the soft palm:
"What's wrong with you today?"
"You have a little wrinkle here."
"What?"
Based on the words and the warmth that occasionally blew into his ears, he knew that Ilay was very close. But unexpectedly, when he opened his eyes, he was still a little startled because his face was right next to him. If he moved a little closer, he would touch the tip of his nose.
"Here. Under your eyes."
Ilay's thumb gently stroked the corner of his eye. His first reaction was to frown slightly in confusion. After hearing the problem Ilay was talking about, he felt even more confused:
"Uhm.. a wrinkle? So why does it matter?"
"No. Nothing. I just suddenly realized something I haven’t noticed before."
Ilay added.
"What means that you are getting older."
"Hey... It's the same with you, isn't it? And you have them too."
I don't know if it's too one-sided, but in general, the aging rate of Asian people is usually slower than that of Western countries.
This has nothing to do with physical health or anything, but if you have to choose, you have to choose. Guessing an Asian person's age just based on their appearance seems to be a more difficult task.
He observed Ilay.
Ah, still nothing has changed.
His expressionless face made it impossible to guess what he was thinking, looking no different from him yesterday. Suddenly, he raised his hand, two fingers lightly touched the corner of his lips and pulled them up into a smile.
Perhaps because of his own stupid actions or because of Ilay's puzzled face, Jeong Taeui suddenly burst out laughing.
It was only softly but it lasted for a long time, causing Ilay to hold his hand, biting the tip of the finger:
"Hmm?"
He stopped laughing.
His eyes and Ilay's eyes met.
The two of them kept looking at each other as if they wanted to find their own silhouettes in the bottom of each other's eyes, as if they could see deep inside what the other person was feeling through their eyes. Ilay was the first to speak.
"I like yours. It makes you look softer."
Jeong Taeui still looked intently at Ilay.
"Tsk.. Especially when you're looking at me right now, or the way you smile like before. Suddenly I have the feeling.."
Jeong Taeui raised his eyebrows as if he was waiting for him to finish his sentence.
But Ilay just stopped and leaned down to kiss the corner of his eye, the tip of her tongue lightly gliding over the faint wrinkle that Jeong Taeui himself didn't notice until just now when he looked in the mirror every morning.
Ilay moved away from Jeong Taeui, his eyes, which usually could be as sharp as razor blades when their owner was angry, now looked strangely gentle.
Oh, only now did he realize.
It's not that Ilay hasn't changed at all.
It was those eyes that were curled up with a smile that told him.
When someone is next to you, day after day you and that person can see each other, then you will never notice the change in the other person if it is not too obvious. That person lives with you, one day and the next, you don't see any difference.
But until one day you turn around and suddenly see that everything is different. Whether it's appearance, appearance or even personality. Time always works the same way.
"You have the feeling?"
Jeong Taeui asked again.
"The feeling you are all mine. From head to toe. Even your time, your life. It's mine, Tae. You're mine."
Ilay smiled slightly.
"...."
"One more thing I've realized is that you are getting older; and as you said the same to me. We're getting older together."
Jeong Taeui was speechless.
Suddenly he felt surprised, mixed with confusion.
He wondered if he knew the meaning of what he was saying, or at least if he was saying what he was thinking.
Choosing to be with this man was completely voluntary.
Over the years, although some things have happened, he has nothing to complain about or blame fate for letting him meet this man. this man.
What people often say is, I am willing to be by the other person's side, whether rich or difficult, whether sick or healthy, until my hair turns gray... perhaps there is a similar part.
Jeong Taeui suddenly felt strangely confused. While he was still thinking about himself, the moment he met Ilay's eyes, he suddenly fell silent.
Reasonable... from a certain perspective...
This man, who was so perceptive that sometimes it didn't seem like a human being, was understanding what he was thinking and what he was saying.
If so; Jeong Taeui shook his head.
I don't want to think any further.
What I feel right now is not bad at all. But soon that strange feeling turned into a smile on his lips. The two looked at each other, not knowing who started it, they were immersed in a deep kiss without any questions or explanations.
That's life, no matter how many ups and downs go by, just a moment like this makes me see how worth living and how beautiful it is. I like this life.
The life he chose with no regrets. As for Jeong Taeui, this man is the same.
"Ilay"
He whispered that name countless times.
"I wanna grow old with you."

THIS IS LITERALLY MY MOST FAV SCENE IN BOOK 1, THEY'RE SO 😩😩
VOLUME 5 CHAPTER 22 (BOOK/NOVEL 1)
——————
The moment those strong fingers grabbed his thigh and lifted it – although it was useless – Jeong Taeui suddenly thought that if he pushed Ilay away now, he might face consequences that would make him cry. But while he hesitated, reluctant to lose the warmth of the hand holding his frozen leg, his worry became unnecessary.
Because below Ilay’s waist, the heavy, solid mass was approaching him. As soon as he felt the large member about to penetrate him, the hand gripping Jeong Taeui’s arm tightened even more.
“—Ilay...”
“You’ve rested enough.”
Ilay interrupted just as Jeong Taeui called his name, as if not hearing him.
Ilay was right, he had rested enough. Now Jeong Taeui no longer felt tired from the long journey to get here, and his body wasn’t in any particular discomfort anymore. And he wasn’t even hungry.
Thinking back, it had been a long time since Ilay had touched him like this. Jeong Taeui recalled his memories and remembered the first day he arrived on the island. Perhaps it had been since then. Yes, since he had apologized, he hadn’t touched him.
Suddenly, a truth he had completely forgotten surfaced in his mind.
Although it was unimaginable if that truth really occurred, it seemed there was still a bit of humanity in even this inhumane man named Ilay Riegrow.
“….”
Suddenly, Taeui’s face turned red again, and the truth made him feel a bit embarrassed.
Some might think he was embarrassed to say someone liked him with his face flushed like this. But something was really happening in his heart.
But…
At that moment, Ilay was placing kisses on Jeong Taeui’s cheek, leaning down slightly. He looked straight into his eyes.
Even though he wasn’t thinking anything bad, Jeong Taeui felt guilty and clammed up because Ilay was sharp enough to read everything in his mind. No, even on second thought, those thoughts were really unrealistic, even far-fetched, so he didn’t know what to say.
“You were thinking about something very interesting. I could hear your eyes rolling.”
Ilay whispered, looking down at Jeong Taeui. A hint of a smile flickered in his deep voice.
Yes, it was surely a very interesting idea. One part interesting, nine parts terrifying, and unable to verify if it was true, just thinking about it was unbearable.
“Taei, stop thinking.”
His sharp teeth pierced his skin. Jeong Taeui shook his head and tried to turn away, but Ilay lifted his hand to turn his face back. His lips lowered and pressed against Jeong Taeui’s.
Suddenly, a strange sensation arose in Jeong Taeui’s mind. A feeling that had crept into his heart for a moment earlier.
He had kissed these lips.
He had kissed Ilay while watching him sleep. Although the fleeting memory of that moment had disappeared like a passing breeze in his mind, when their lips met again, the familiar sensation returned.
Alright. Maybe at that moment, looking down at Ilay’s sleeping face, he had thought he wanted to touch those lips. It was like an instinctual desire.
Alright, alright, alright. He just wanted to understand why he did it.
Jeong Taeui silently looked at Ilay, feeling the familiar tongue intertwining with his. His face was so close that he couldn’t discern the emotions on Ilay’s face. But he could feel Ilay watching him.
Perhaps sensing Jeong Taeui’s distracted gaze, Ilay leaned down, sucking on his lips until it hurt.
“It seems like you’ve lost your mind today…— Is it because you’ve seen him after a long time?”
With those words, he bit Jeong Taeui’s lower lip. Ilay was silent for a moment, then touched Jeong Taeui’s trembling shoulder and whispered.
“Alright, actually even when you were in the organization, your mind couldn’t stay away from him… Like a child, all your emotions are written on your face.”
“….”
“Have you slept with him?”
His voice dropped to a low whisper. Jeong Taeui frowned at that hushed tone. He licked his sore lip and responded gloomily.
“Why do you care whether I’ve slept with him or not?”
“That kid has said many times that he likes you.”
Ilay whispered as if he were only talking to himself. Jeong Taeui frowned and glared at him. What was he thinking, asking him things he already knew? Like this……., like this, it was really…..
Once again, his heart pounded heavily in his chest. Thump, thump, thump.
A clicking sound echoed, immediately followed by a short scream as a sharp pain invaded his lips and teeth.
“Ah! Hey, that hurts…!”
“Taei, wrap your arms around my neck.”
“What?”
Their lips were intertwined, and his tongue was so tangled up he couldn’t pronounce anything correctly. It wasn’t until Ilay’s hand squeezed his buttocks tightly that Jeong Taeui understood what he meant.
He hurriedly wrapped his arms around Ilay’s neck. Ilay wouldn’t hesitate to bite his lip if Taeui delayed for even a second.
Like that day. He had felt a strange sensation. Even though Ilay had requested him to wrap his arms around his neck and hold him, it felt more like he had taken the initiative to hug and kiss Ilay.
“Alright, that’s it… tighter.”
Whenever Jeong Taeui’s arms accidentally loosened even slightly, Ilay would growl, demanding he hold tighter, then bite his lip or cheek. He felt as if he were facing a hungry tiger in a deep forest. Jeong Taeui thought but said nothing. If he did, surely this hungry tiger would devour him whole.
“With him…”
Suddenly, he heard a whisper near his ear. The voice was so soft he could only vaguely hear it. “Jeong Taeui, what about you?” he asked. Before he could respond, Ilay bit his cheek painfully.
“How did you say it? Did you use a gentleman face to say you liked him? Or did you say it with an embarrassed, shy face? Or did you say it while swaying your hips like a prostitute?"
His voice grew hoarse. Ilay fell silent after speaking as if angry at his own words, clicking his tongue. His hands kept removing Jeong Taeui’s clothes as if he wanted to tear them apart. The sound of clothes dropping to the floor was faint. Simultaneously, Jeong Taeui felt a hot mass pressing against his buttocks.
“Wait, why are you bringing this up and then getting angry at yourself…?”
“Taei. Tell me. How did you say it, huh? Tell me.”
Ilay lightly slapped Jeong Taeui’s buttocks. Even though it was light (by Ilay’s standards), the sharp pain and tingling sensation spread with the sound slap. Jeong Taeui yelled and whimpered – “Ow.” biting Ilay’s shoulder hard with tears in his eyes, but Ilay didn’t care.
“You crazy bastard, getting angry out of nowhere and hitting people?”
“Don’t loosen your arms!”
Jeong Taeui yelled in anger, but Ilay yelled back at him.
Hearing that harsh tone, Jeong Taeui quickly wrapped his arms around Ilay’s neck again, thinking he was being a bit cowardly, but he quickly dismissed the thought. He hugged Ilay tightly, clicking his tongue and muttering right into his ear.
“What do you mean, how did I say it? Who thinks about things like that? I just said it normally, I like you."
Jeong Taeui remembered he had said he liked him before. Now, recalling it felt nostalgic like an old faded photograph.
But those final words couldn’t leave his mouth; instead, Ilay swallowed them.
Jeong Taeui could hardly breathe under the fierce kiss that seemed to tear his mouth apart, and the next moment, he faced an even more brutal intrusion.
“Ah”
However, before he could realize what was about to invade him, it had already entered.
Jeong Taeui thought he saw a pale hand gripping his thigh, pushing it forward, and touching Ilay’s shoulder. At that moment, a light sound seemed to pierce between his legs. It might not have made any sound at all, but it seemed he actually heard it.
“….—!!”
The scream trying to escape his gaping mouth was swallowed by Ilay once more.
His body felt like it was tearing apart. The head of the massive flesh suddenly thrust in without any warning, causing him to clench continuously inside, near the entrance. It slowly pushed deeper into him, then began a gentle in-and-out motion. Even though the small hole was wet, it was still too tight and struggled to accommodate the movement.
“Hey, ah, ha, uh…—huh….!”
Jeong Taeui arched his back, struggling with his own body, continuously shaking his head, and tears welled up in his eyes. He wanted to crawl off the bed to escape the brutal weapon, but he couldn’t move at all because his body was firmly nailed down by Ilay’s member, which was deeply embedded in him and wasn’t coming out.
“Taei, Taei... Relax a bit, don’t cry, don’t cry…. there, it’s alright, it won’t tear… yes, you’re doing well.”
“…Hug me, will you?”
Ilay’s brief words echoed in his ear as he gazed down at Jeong Taeui’s tear-filled eyes, grabbed his wrist, and guided him into a gentle deep kiss. His fingers wandered down to where their bodies were joined.
Jeong Taeui, who was half-conscious, suddenly came to his senses when he felt Ilay’s hand touch his own member. Damn, even though he held it several times a day when he went to the bathroom, the feeling of Ilay holding it was entirely different. It wasn’t fitting to think about this in the current situation, but the thought of comparing their members side by side suddenly popped into his mind.
Along with the pain as if his body was being torn apart and the pride of a man shattering once again, Jeong Taeui began to cry.
“You’re not human, you bastard, why are you shoving that thing into me like this? I’m dying from the pain, I’m dying from the pain.”
“I won’t hurt you anymore, I won’t hurt you, so tell me once more.”
“I won’t hurt you anymore, I won’t hurt you, so tell me once more.”
“Tell you what, you bastard! Tell you what!”
Jeong Taeui shouted, but every time he uttered a word, his face turned pale because Ilay moved his lower body. Jeong Taeui felt like fainting, mumbling.
“Do something, either push it all the way in or pull it out, it’s stuck and can’t move, it’s killing me. Hurry up and do something, either push it in or pull it out.”
Jeong Taeui hugged his neck and cried. But like a nail hammered into a tight screw, Ilay’s member, with just the head inside his body, couldn’t move. Jeong Taeui suddenly cried, thinking about the sins he had committed in his past life.
At that moment, he just wanted to kill the bastard who had told him – “Don’t loosen your arms!” But he didn’t have the strength to do that, so he decided to strangle Ilay by hugging him tightly.
Ilay moved his lower body deeper into him while reaching for the drawer on the bedside table, rummaging around for a moment. Then Jeong Taeui heard a small click as if Ilay had picked something up.
Shortly after, something slick dripped down his buttocks, precisely where Ilay’s member was stuck. The cold, slippery liquid ran along Ilay’s shaft and dripped onto Jeong Taeui’s waist. It was lubricant.
Ilay moved with difficulty, the tight hole still gripping his member. The lubricant seeped in bit by bit until a squelching sound was heard, and the thing began to move.
Ah. This was the moment.
Although it wasn’t being pulled out, at least the previously stuck giant shaft was now showing signs of movement. Jeong Taeui stared at Ilay in a daze.
“Say it again, Taei.”
The whisper in his ear sounded so gentle. Maybe his mind was too hazy from crying and screaming, which made the voice seem so sweet.
“You like me, tell me one more time.”
Still that gentle voice.
Suddenly, Jeong Taeui thought – “Ah.” with a foggy mind.
This man was truly mentally disturbed. His thoughts were a tangled mess, his mind in disarray.
So, there was no way to escape anymore.
Jeong Taeui wrapped his arms tightly around Ilay’s neck and whispered hoarsely.
“I like you.”
“What?”
“You. I like you.”
Jeong Taeui murmured vaguely and closed his eyes. Ilay was silent for a moment, then began to slowly move his hips, gradually increasing his pace.
“Agh, a, ah.”
Every thrust made Jeong Taeui nearly scream. Even though it was easier now for Ilay to move in and out, it only took a few seconds for Jeong Taeui to regret his words.
It felt like a massive piece of flesh was invading his body, relentlessly pushing in and filling his entire belly. Fear overwhelmed Jeong Taeui, making him feel like he was about to be torn apart.
Tears began to fall again. Ilay’s pale hand carefully wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes. Feeling the warm touch from those dry, warm hands, Jeong Taeui struggled to open his eyes. Ilay’s face appeared in his blurred vision, clouded by tears.
….. He hadn’t opened his eyes or looked at Ilay earlier. Only now did he see this face.
Perhaps even Ilay himself wasn’t aware, but the emotions on his face as he looked down at Jeong Taeui, drenched in sweat and consumed by desire, seemed to reveal a hint of humanity, something Jeong Taeui had been trying not to think about for so long.
Jeong Taeui closed his eyes again and held Ilay’s neck tightly. The shaft flesh thrusting into him was still painful, and he felt like he could faint at any moment, yet strangely, his mind remained unusually clear.
'What are we doing?'
The answer was difficult. From Ilay’s gaze to his expressions, from his hands to his breath… these things seemed to convey something clearly, yet it was too ambiguous.
He was in trouble.
For some reason, he felt like his heart was melting. The moment he realized this, Jeong Taeui was stunned, and then he remembered Ilay’s kiss from earlier.
He was going crazy.
Schizophrenia was wreaking havoc, stirring both his mind and heart. Look, he was holding onto a bastard like this without feeling any hatred. It was madness.
Jeong Taeui opened his eyes once more, looking at the ceiling over Ilay’s shoulder.
If this man liked him… could it be like this? Was it because he said he liked him that Ilay was acting this way?
He struggled to breathe because he was filled below and felt like something was about to spill out. He wasn’t sure if he would die or if he would die at this very moment.
Jeong Taeui closed his eyes.
He had thought that besides his appearance, Ilay had nothing human about him. But now he realized that maybe Ilay was just like any other person. The hand gently caressing his cheek, the tongue lightly licking the tears from his eyelashes, the warm breath brushing against the tip of his nose—all of these things said otherwise.
“Taei.”
There it was again, that gentle voice calling his name.
“Taei.”
Once more, he whispered.
Jeong Taeui opened his eyes and met the gaze that was staring intently at him from up close.
He suddenly felt curious. Did this man know what kind of expression he had on his face? Jeong Taeui couldn’t look away from that strange yet inexplicably tender gaze that softened his heart.
This man was human too. Ilay also had the emotions that humans have.
For some reason, his chest tightened. Suddenly, he wanted to kiss Ilay’s lips once more. So he wrapped his arms tightly around him.
At that moment.
“I’m going to put it in now.”
The short words came from Ilay’s mouth.
Jeong Taeui looked at him in confusion and said – “Umm…” – thinking vaguely, and then suddenly snapping to attention as if doused with cold water.
“What…?”
“Down there, I’m going to thrust in now. Relax, or you’ll get hurt.”
“What are you talking about? Didn't you already put it all in?”
“…..There’s still half left…. be strong.”
Ilay was silent for a moment before saying this, just as Jeong Taeui cried out in shock when he was flipped over. Ilay quietly patted his buttocks. Maybe it was his extremely gentle voice that drove Jeong Taeui crazy, but his moving hips were anything but gentle.
And Jeong Taeui screamed, retracting the thoughts he had just entertained.
The idea that Ilay still had human-like feelings was utterly absurd and meaningless!
