Mom! my shoes, we are late' Lucas yelled

" I'm not done putting on my clothes and you're yelling we are late, the time is still 6.30am. no one would have gotten to school by now... you seriously do have a problem Lucas" Lucky replied him coldly

Lucas and Lucky are the children of one of the wealthy family in the state. "Even though you guys are 13yrs now, you still can't take care of yourselves" Kate hissed at them both

" Kate don't scold my princes like they are adults are adults" Mrs George smiled as she was moving towards them to hand over Lucas shoes and Lucky trouser

Their father is always busy with work and doesn't come home regularly, As for their Mom she's assigned to take care the kids whenever she's not busy with work

"Katie, we are ready, can we go now?" Lucas smiled sat down playing games on his tablet

Kate the children nanny, really cares for them and also teach them mischievous things, Lucas was reported many times for playing pranks on female teachers mostly

"yh you guys let's move now, Lucas promise not to play pranks on your teachers"

" ok Katie I promise" he said then entered the car

" ma, I'm not feeling well today, can you call on Olivia" I trembled and fell on the ground gripping my head like it will fall. I finally stood up to go downstairs when a slipper met my head and multiplied the pain

I have been suffering from migraine for the past three days now but my stepmom doesn't even care a bit.Whenever my dad is not around, she do treat me like I was needed to be a maid, but if he is around that's when she always know I existed

I heard all this where i was sitting, but was even too weak to cry, I was freezing cos I had no where to go but no one care. Then a figure stood at my front, it must have Been the social worker, later that night I was taken to An orphanage.

Eight years later...

Anna was granted freedom from the orphanage because she became a legal citizen since she decided not to be adopted by any family. By this time she already finished High School. she was given a free apartment but still she has to work so she can feed herself everyday.

"Lady, are you sure you can cope with the shifts you want?"

" Yes sir, I can surely cope with it" she beamed happily finally getting a job at a convenient store

"you can start working tomorrow dear, this is your uniform. you must be here by 7am. your salaries will be every week" The convenient store owner instructed

" Thank you so much sir" she bowed with respect
